Well after years of to and from north and south on the 5, I finally can say I've been. It's a pretty decent size outlet mall. Plenty of parking along the side of the shopping center. There's also a section that has charging stations. And I did notice that there were loads of people out and about with their dogs. We arrived around 6pm which the outlet does open till 8pm. From the side we centered in, there was food truck that was parked right before you walked in. Everything is outdoor which they also had a little strip that was covered. Helpful with the heat as it does get hot during the summer seasons. There's all your traditional stores you would see at the outlet. Nike, HM, Michael Kors, Adidas, Vans and so on. A good amount of decent stores. It does warp around each other but we didn't get a chance to wander through the whole place. It was well maintained with plants and the water features. Planted area did have a fence barrier around them. Also, loads of seated benches placed throughout the walkway for seating. Besides the traditional outlet shops, you also have the classic food vendors. Basically a lot of stalls or food center that you would find in the mall. They did have a good sale happening as it was Fourth of July'. Some nice deals that were offered before as well as after. Overall, it's nothing major like the Desert Hill outlet going towards Palm Springs with their higher end designer shops. But this outlet does have a fairly decent amount of stores. Also it's kind of in the middle of nowhere in a sense that's it's right off the freeway. A decent outlets that's worth checking out if you're driving by and wanted to kill some time while heading north or south on the 5.

Think about Premium Outlets like the one in Livermore, CA, but a much smaller version of it. Same design. Cashiers inside the stores are very nice people. We purchased some new walking shoes for great prices here around $26 each with discounts included. Good value. It doesn't have a formal food court spot, but there are a few food retailers. These outlets aren't overpriced nor overcrowded. Coach store, Under Armour, Colombia, Old Navy, Tony's Pizza, Subway, Levi's, Ulta, OshKosh, H&M, Banana Republic, etc. You can find typical basic brands here as you find in other outlets. Not a huge place. Parking lot was huge though. Easy access to freeway. I wish the place would add a food court to make it a good standard shopping spot. It was a very comfortable restroom stop and happy place for a good stretch or walk around. Conveniently located. This beautiful stop in an old American Indian town with gas stations, hotels, and restaurants was pretty relaxing here. Jamba Juice, Dunkin Donuts, Chipotle, Denny's, IHOP, etc. are all driving distance from this location. Worth it.

I was approached by five different staff members within 20 minutes, asking if I needed help. Usually that reflects great customer service, but it definitely felt like I was being monitored and suspected of shoplifting rather than actually being assisted. I came in knowing exactly what I was going to purchase. I wanted to browse the rest of their current in-store selection and see if I wanted to buy anything else. The experience was so unpleasant, I only purchased the one item and left quickly. Maybe they judged me based off of what I was wearing or how I looked? Whatever the case may be, it seems like I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience at this store.

One greeted me quickly and then went back to chatting. I walked the entire perimeter of the store - picking up purses and inspecting them. Not one time did anyone offer any assistance. As I walked out the door, there was somewhere there who told me goodbye. I went a few doors down to Kate Spade and was greeted and offered excellent customer service. I bought a purse. I then returned to speak to the manager of Coach to let her know of the customer service failure and lost sale and it turned out she was the chatterer that briefly greeted me. As a leader, she led her staff to lose a sale.

We visited during lunch time and the store was pretty busy with customers and a lot of the workers were just stepping out for lunch. When we checked out I noticed one guy at the register and the line was quite long, but he was working 2 registers at the same time.... Wow, is all I have to say. When it was our turn to check out I realized the tag on his shirt said "assistant manager", if Famous Footwear doesn't promote this guy to management then you're crazy. With no hesitation, he was handling 2 customers at the same time, juggling questions customers also had. He even informed me that the 2nd item didn't have to be shoes and could be any other items with less or equal value to honor the 50% off, so I ended up getting my younger son a lunch bag here. This gentleman was very informative, very friendly and still managed to multitask. Prices weren't that great as far as sales and I always like good sales, but when you have great customer service then a lot of times people come back due to the service. I would definitely come back and hope that Famous Footwear acknowledges that gentleman because he is an outstanding worker.
