I'm from Portland and I'm visiting family. We decided to get our nails done and this is where my niece goes. Overall they took very good care of us and my nail technician was attentive and took my feedback very well. We brought my 4 year old and they were so patient and wonderful with her. The reason for 3 stars is their technique with gel. They put it on too thick, which I have come to find out has a tendency to chip quickly. read more

The best part of this experience was when I walked out the door. This is my first yelp review, I just wanted to warn others before they made the same mistake I did. This was the worst experience I have ever had. The shop was so disgusting, their was dust on everything, nothing was sanitized, people were seated in pedicure chairs one right after another without even wiping the seat down, the worst was using nail clippers you know have not been cleaned. Absolute worst customer service ever. Granted they were busy today... 3 days before Christmas. I would have been glad to have been patient except when the owner/manager took other people ahead of me when I had been waiting longer. I had a feeling he didn't want to do my French/dip mani but I know he can because he's done them for me before. They seriously left me soaking in straight acetone for over half an hour. I walked out, with no manicure, after being there for 1 hour and 20 minutes and no progress on my manicure. I won't go back again. It is crystal clear they do not care one bit about customer service. My friends and I (4) of us made appointments to have pedicures yesterday Sunday . This is the second time I've been there and actually been upset that I pay $30 for a service that actually cost them less than $1 dollar and they can't even give you good friendly service. I had to ask the technician to clean under my toe nails, she rubbed my shin up and down so fast I started laughing! The tech never once massaged my foot only held on to my big toe as she worked over my shin. She never massaged my calf either it was a joke. On top of poor customer service they have a new gimmick of making you PAY $5 for a pedicure nail and brush kit. $3 for a manicure kit! That's on top of $30 dollar service,$ 5 for a French manicure . Oh yeah they are timed 30 minutes. I was a manicurist for several years and I spent 45 minutes giving great service & making my clients feel welcome with light conversation and a great FOOT & LEG massage.. Today these people make $60 an hour and make you feel like your wasting their time and how dare you tell them what to do. All 3 of my friends had similar experiences one her girl got made and just quit her service and walked away!!! Oh yeah they also pull the game of giving you $5 bills in change so you feel obligated to give them that as well! read more

Terrible service, my mom and I walked in...waved, said hi and smiled, NONE of the workers waved or smiled back one of them just pointed to the seats and told us to sit down at one of the two. The lady that was doing my nails hadn't said a word to me she just tugged at my hands to pull me closer and started filing away. ( not nicely, it hurt like a *****) my mom and i wanted to match nails except i wanted gold and she wanted silver. we showed my artist the color i wanted SEVERAL times because she kept forgetting i guess. she started to color the tips of my nails and it was silver.. i didn't make a big deal out of it because i'm not that kind of person. if it looks good, i won't mind even if it's not what i wanted. my mom got gold though? so i'm not sure what was going through their heads at the time. anyways, i probably should have said this before but EVEN IF YOU SHOW THEM A PICTURE OF WHAT YOU WANT, THEY WILL NOT DO IT. we showed a picture we got off pinterest, not even close to it. i've been here 3-4 times, never completely satisfied and never really felt welcomed! hope this helped. read more

I've been to Foxy Nails three times in a span of four years. I've had decent service but definitely wasn't worth it after my recent visit. I came as a drop in for a pedicure as it was close by where I was shopping. I was happy at the fact I got in very quickly. It was probably the biggest nail salon I've been to with almost 10-14 employees. At the beginning everything was fine, regular pedicure protocol but when I got to picking my color the lady doing my pedicure said no!! NO!!! She said that the color was too light so I figured I'd try a different color thinking it was possibly too sheer, so I picked another similar color in a pastel nude color. She kept saying no and sneering at my suggestion! Uh... wtf right? Absolutely rude. It was gel too so I knew it would show up. She kept pointing out to flamingo pink colors and other colors that were not in my preference. After I settled with a sparkly black color. She continued to give me a half assed massage and I felt uncomfortable as she kept talking in Vietnamese and could feel it was directed towards me (but I could be wrong but she kept eye-balling me and talking). She THEN started to paint my toes silver as a base. I asked her what she was doing and she mean mugged me as if I offended her and said "I DO FOR YOU" I just paid and left. I now have pewter toe nails that are bubbly and thick from the uneven gel. It doesn't look horrible but it's ugly enough I won't come here and I'm more upset at the fact she wouldn't let me have what I wanted. Whose the customer?? Although I've seen the owners multiple times and are great people and lots of their staff members are very kind, it just sucked I had such a rude employee who wouldn't let me get the color I wanted and didn't even give me a say in what I wanted on my toes. Don't waste your money. They'll nickel and dime you into a mediocre pedicure in which you could have paid to go somewhere else with better quality and with employees who let you pick your color. read more

When I came in I said hello. Lady didn't even look at me. Had my hand in the nail dryer wring and she snapped at me. Was very rough. When I left I realized my nails were fastened to my skin underneath and I have color on my skin from the gel polish. That is the worst job I have had done. I spent an hour here for an extremely rushed 10 min pedicure. I left with dry feet and a pretty disappointing paint job. Extremely disappointing for the price I paid, they literally spent no more than 10 min total on the service I paid for. They were extremely understaffed with approx 3 customers per worker. This nail salon is horrible. I got gel nails and they started breaking after three days. I asked for a pedicure and a guy came to do it. He asked me which package I wanted and what color. When I told him I wanted French he seemed irritated with me, which after he was done I realized he couldn't do French so I ended up with uneven lines. i had an appointment at 12 and didn't get brought back until 1:30. they were super slow & rude and unsanitary. multiple people walked in after me and got sat down before me , and many walked out due to bad customer service. they tried to charge me $85 for a french tip, and they didn't even do it correctly. all nails are different lengths , wrong techniques were used, and they were super rough. read more

This was my second time getting my nails done here and I was not very satisfied. I was talked into getting a color, additional sparkles, and an expensive design done that I did not want. The "gel" manicure I got was done very thin and my cuticles were cut very short. I am currently on the verge of getting an infection on my left ring finger. Ok..this had to be the most interesting and memorable pedicure/manicure I have ever had. The person who did my services had a very unique personality. She was joking but there was times I was left speechless and just laughed along with some of the things she said. I was with several other people so I didn't want to make a big fuss and delay the time we were there. It was definitely not a relaxing time. As far as my services.. I felt my pedicure was rushed. The paint look good but I wish my feet felt more smooth especially on my big toe and heels. As for the manicure. Greatly disappointed. I had them put clear polish on yesterday (my appt was at 1:30). The space is open and nice. Customer service and overall service is beyond poor (rude and non-communicative with clients). My friend and I requested to be seated next to one another for our pedicure which was granted. However, I was done with my pedi before hers even started. We both selected Option #1. My pedicurist rushed through my service and did not complete all aspects of option 1. She dried my feet then left to start on another customer. I had no idea she was finished. She did not do the lotion on the legs nor did she do the polish. When I inquired about it from another worker, she came back to paint my toes in a rush. My friends pedi lasted about 20-25 minutes and mine was done in less than 15. This was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience and based on the reviews I am not alone in my experience. The first time I went in for a full set, the gentleman was funny, however I was displeased with how my nails turned out. The second time (it was a mother /daughter day.... pedicures and full set) we had fun and the lady who did the pedicure was nice and did a decent job. Nails were okay. I am very disappointed in my experience here. I scheduled four pedicures and manicures for myself, my mom, my grandmother, and my cousin as a Mother's Day gift which turned out to be a trip to hell. They were very rude and disrespectful - the nail tech, Annie, especially. She cut open the back of my mom's foot from scrubbing too hard then tried to pour alcohol on it, she told my mom she couldn't have the color she wanted on her toes and forced her to do a different one, she was very disrespectful every time she spoke to my grandmother, and she asked for a larger tip! Are you kidding me? Not to mention that the tech that did my nails filed them crooked and uneven as well as got nail polish all over my skin. Came here about 2 weeks ago because my usual nail shop was closed. The place was clean, and I got a chair right away. The downfall was the rudeness of the nail tech. I declined all the extras on the pedicure, but did get a nail design. I didn't realize they only took cash tips, and I paid with my card. I was digging in my purse for some cash, and the lady was very short with me like she thought I was stiffing her on the tip or something... I don't know. In spite of my better judgement based on previous reviews I decided to make an appointment because my favorite nail salon was booked and me and my mother in law wanted a pedi/mani before we left out of town...we should have waited until we got to California! They looked irritated the second we walked in. The entire visit was rushed and the mani/pedi's were half ass. My MIL's toe nails didn't even get shaped. The paraffin wax was so hot it burned our feet and when we tried to tell them, they didn't even understand. My nail design is crooked and not worth $5! Mixed service here. The first time was my best experience. I think it was the owner that did my nails. He was nice and friendly. The second time was uneventful and the third time made me choose to go somewhere else. The man doing my nails seemed less than enthusiastic about having to do a backfill and I think he as much said so to his co-workers, although I couldn't understand anything he said except backfill. Then for whatever reason, I had one finger that he felt wasn't relaxed enough and he was getting irritated with me. Well, maybe he's in the wrong line of business. This place was very disorganized from the time I walked in the door. They had a ton of people getting pedicures and when I put my feet in the tub the water was ice cold. They then changed it and the water was luke warm, when I asked for hot water they told me they have too many people today so there is no more hot water. Quality over quantity would be nice. To top it off the lady doing my nails went into a back room for 25 minutes (no exaggeration) before coming back and saying "you don't want color right?" I was there for a pedicure, and handed her my color before I sat down.... Needless to say I left at that point. I never got my pedicure because my feet were soaking in lukewarm water for almost 30 minutes and no one ever approached my chair. I guess that's not entirely true. There was a kid running around with a tea kettle trying to warm up everyone's water, which was incredibly awkward. I will never go back to this place ever again. My nails were awful. The gel was so thick and clumpy. I wanted them to be round and they were absolutely horrid looking, so uneven. And the lady filed down so much of the fake nail that she got to my real nail and started to get to my skin. I'm very upset that I paid$40!!!!!!!!! just to hate my nails. Took my daughter here for a new years eve Mani/pedi. First off , she didn't even speak enough English to communicate at all, they didn't do a Manicure on my daughter, made her nails bleed. The more we looked around at things the more I wished we had not even gone in there to begin with, the floors were filthy dirty, I'm not too sure that the equipment that they used was sterile, the tubs for the pedicures are really stained up. Although my nails looked good when I left, they chipped the next day! And I had gel nails. My left foot has been itching every since coming here and what was really strange is the man at the counter kept standing there squealing "three minutes" the whole time.
