I walked by and noticed this location is open again! They have a nice selection of craft beers as well as beer/wine on tap. There are seats in the back with outlets along the wall if you want to study/work. I had a gift card from before they closed, which doesn't seem to work anymore. There are a lot of trendy items here like chili oil and CBD beverages. I got some maldon and some Marz Jungle boogie (one of my favorite craft beers). I had to write a review bc this particular day when we stopped in, both guys who were working were so dang friendly and nice. They really made the atmosphere lovely w positive vibes. The bacon and tomato avo toast I got was also surprisingly FIRE. it was so good!! Super crispy bacon on fresh sourdough. The guy making the food also gave me a free sample of a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie and even that was so tasty. I'll def buy a cookie next time! They have a lil section of gifts in case you're ever needing to buy a last minute gift. And they also have a small grocery section in the back. They're mostly egg and very very little filling. I would suggest the bean and cheese because it was the most flavorful and filled. There isn't enough bacon or barbacoa in the ones I purchased. Foxtrot is tough to rate. I like the Chicago concept and the coffee is brewed nicely. The problem is the service and the prices. The selection consists mostly of items local to Chicago. I understand they must charge a premium to account for their low volume orders, but man are they pricey. The service isn't the friendliest either across any of their locations. I've walked in several times without being greeted or acknowledged. I'm somewhere between a 3 and 4 star rating. Not rounding up mostly due to the service. read more

What a cute find! I stumbled upon this coffee shop while in Chicago for work. They have multiple locations in Old Town. I ended up visiting two in the same day! First thing to know is parking is limited to on street (I think that's a given in Chicago.) The space is big and bright, perfect for working. The tables have plenty of plugs if you need a charge. This space is both a cafe and small market. You can pick up to-go ready items like salads, juices and power bars. It also has a small shopping area with records and small trinkets. I was greeted at the country by a friend hostess. She walked me through the menu before I selected the acai bowl and black tea. I wasn't disappointed by my choice! If you're a tea drink the breakfast blend is the perfect balance to start your day. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot to work for a bit. Other locations also have patio space! read more

Been a Foxtrot app user for several years now. While I think their app is great for getting beer, wine, and liquor delivered, their other goods and items they now have in stock are hit and miss in terms of pricing. That being said, it's still pretty cool to see their trendy brick and mortar stores popping up. Definitely eye catching if you happen to be walking home and need to quickly pick up something for home. While by no means do they carry a Binny's selection of beer, wine, and spirits, it's a good enough stock of trendy and seasonal beverages. You could even stop in for a quick beer on tap and purchase some premade food to enjoy in their bar area if you please. Over the years they've grown to carry snacks, dips, assorted fresh food items, ice cream, coffee, juice, kombucha, baked goods, candy, assorted grocery items, and even some last minute household essentials. While I still prefer the convenience of using their app (also because they seem to have specials for random $5 and $10 here and there), definitely wouldn't mind dropping by a brick and mortar if it was closer to home and on the way home. Anyways, how lucky for you if you live off the Blue Line Division stop and Foxtrot is on the way home. Definitely beats having to go to a creepy/sketchy convenience store for a last minute pick up. Let me tell you about my last 2 experiences with getting delivery from this location. Both times I was missing half of what I had ordered. Does no one double check before they hand the bags off to their drivers?? I contacted their customer service via the app immediately and both times it took at least 30 min to even get them to resolve my issue. They would not put me on the top of the list for redelivery and I was then quoted another 30-40 min for redelivery. So to get the missing items it essentially would end up being more than 2 hours since I had placed my initial order. I ordered from Foxtrot because their app quoted me an initial delivery time of 45-60 min, which is perfectly reasonable. I ended up just giving up and requesting a refund since this company literally does not care to provide good delivery or customer service. read more

Really love this place. Great neighborhood spot where I can go to work, eat, shop, drink - you name it! Selection seems thought out and it's fun to discover new brands + products here. What I've tried of the cafe portion is great too - I'm obsessed with the mocha almond coffee smoothie and the chicken biscuit sandwich.  Extra bonus - I use their delivery via the app and it's legit. My friends and I have also used it to send little gift packages (that you can customize!!!) to people on their birthdays - they arrive within the hour wrapped up and everything. Super easy! Although very expensive, I usually love Foxtrot and come here about once a week or so to grab a snack or a coffee. Came here this morning for breakfast and ordered an avocado toast and a cold brew. It was pretty busy in there this morning, so a bit of a wait was expected. They took my ordered and I paid and then after about 15 minutes of waiting, I was told they had ran out of bread. It was 8 o'clock in the morning so not sure how that was possible. Also not sure how no one noticed that until 15 min after I had paid for my food. I got a full refund for the food and coffee and took my business else where. Was not offered a free cold brew or anything like that for this huge inconvenience and waiting for nothing. I love this place! It's a market with everything from wine, beer, & spirits to snacks, desserts, and prepared meals. They sell some locally made and otherwise home goods like candles, skincare, gifts, bar tools, books, and picnic supplies. It's also a cafe and a lil bar! They have a good happy hour deal! They do regular beer and wine tastings. They have AN APP!!! So you can get anything in their shop delivered - and because nothing has to be cooked or prepared, delivery is faster than anywhere else. Also! The more you use the app or shop there, the more perks you get. Honestly, this place is like a dream market with ALMOST everything you could ever need. The staff is always super friendly and if you do the perks, you get free coffee!!! They have vegan, vegetarian friendly, paleo, healthy, dairy-free options in all categories! Any complaints in the comments are probably just rich, bratty snobs that only go out on weekends when everyplace is super busy. Those awful beings have been taking over the city so watch out. LOVE this place. As a grad student, I am always looking for a good coffee shop to do my homework at. Well, foxtrot is the place! Esp this location! Here are my reasons why: 1. Good drinks--I love the loose-leaf brewed green tea. Cappuccino is also great. 2. Chill and comfortable work environment--they have the nice long wood table for group work/to spread out. They have the counter if you want to look out the window/stand. And they have the back area with some nice lil tables. Also a couch but I've never sat there. 3. GREAT MUSIC THAT ISN'T TOO LOUD. This is huuuuuge. Some coffee shops play music way too loud and it is distracting for those of us who are tryna get some work donezo. Not here tho! 4. Cool employees. Just over two hours until they close and staff doesn't seem to give a shit about anything but closing. I wanted to write a really grateful review for this place being my savior as I have some late work to do, no wifi at home, and I can't seem to find any other cafes with wifi open this late. There were two croissant pastries in the case that looked amazing and I was sure I'd pick one up to eat while getting work done. At this present moment it was literally all I wanted after a long Saturday of work and still more tasks to finish. Nope: the girl at the front tells me she can't sell them and nervously tries to come up with some excuse? She "just can't".. they're.. "for someone. I stopped in to Foxtrot over the weekend to grab a snack and waste some time while waiting for a friend. Yes, it is much more expensive then a grocery store but most of the products they sell cost more anywhere they are sold. For example they sell Jeni's ice cream and bang bang pie. Those are always expensive but delicious. They also have a small gift section with candles, lotions, cookbooks etc. Perfect place to pick up a last minute gift. The are lots of plants and cute decor so it makes for a great place to catch up with a friend or get some work done. I was also impressed that the women's bathroom had free pads and tampons! There were only 3 on the table...3! Rather than humbling himself to find out, he reacted by blaming the customer for pointing it out..Horrible. Furthermore and sadly enough, the astonished employee standing within earshot did not know the names either. A cool vibe kind of store with a nice coffee bar. Very eclectic mix of stuff, like it doesn't know what it wants to be. A nice wine selection. Some cold food, some prepared food, some packaged snacks, then random mix of candles and games. Feel like the store should have more stuff, there's a lot of wasted space. Has a nice seating area. I was extremely disappointed with the selection here, as well as the staff and ambiance. It's confusing whether I should be here to shop or grab a coffee. However, the atmosphere isn't even inviting enough for me to stay for a coffee. I stopped in to see what the store was about and it was dead. No one said anything to me and those behind the coffee bar seemed unaffected by my presence. If they opened up a shop in the neighborhood to bring speciality items, I saw nothing here of value. Not to mention, most products looked like they were about to expire and the avocados, oranges, lemons and limes (only produced they carried) were refrigerated. What that tells me is that they want it to last longer so they can profit. If you want a great speciality store go over to Olivia's Market. They have a phenomenal curated selection. read more

This place is a great grocery/gift/prepared foods/wine/beer store (sounds too good to be true, but it is). This location is right across from my gym, so I've stopped by a few times when I'm in a pinch. There's a small array of wine/beer (including some on tap), pre-made meals, snacks etc. Their sandwiches and salads are surprisingly tasty. Everything is about 25% more expensive than you'd expect though, so definitely don't come here for the prices. The staff is always polite, and they're open till 11 pm on weeknights. There's also a handful of tables and chairs if you're looking for a new place to post up and work. Their boozy slushies are also tempting, but I've yet to try one! read more

Update -- Alexa from the Wicker Park store reached out as soon as she saw this review, took the time to look into why I was upset and helped me feel like a valued customer/want to return for another purchase. I created a future delivery order for a friend's birthday gift. And shortly after I decided I wanted to change it if that would be possible. After emailing with customer service I was told I could not change an existing order, but I could cancel the existing order and create a new one. Easy and no problem, so I asked to cancel the existing order and created a new one. Note: I requested an email or other confirmation to confirm this order had been cancelled and was told their system does not generate emails but was assured it was cancelled. On the morning of the scheduled delivery, I called the store and explained what happened and asked for confirmation my original order was cancelled so my friend did not receive multiple orders and I was not charged twice. The woman on the phone confirmed there was only one order going to the birthday girl. Great! Fast forward to delivery -- my friend texted me the sweetest note and mentioned she had received two orders from me. I called Foxtrot right away and after someone else calling me back, they said would not refund me for their mistake unless they could take back the order from the birthday girl. I said no because I think that is terrible customer service (I tried multiple times to ensure this did not happen for them and me) and I would rather eat the costs. I get it, times are really tough for all of us, but this was a bad mistake because it was a gift. She also got two birthday cards with different messages which is no big deal but come on...
