Another great experience here at the Foxhole. I ordered the Venison Chili a small salad. The chili had a little spice but I had no issues with it. It had a wonderful flavors. The salad was fresh. Great food. I also enjoyed a gin and tonic with my meal. Our server was excellent taking care of our needs. She even thanked me for asking questions. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as bar seating, table and booth seating. Parking is a little tight on a busy night. If you are in the area, then be sure to stop in and try what the Foxhole Culinary has to offer.

Military discount is honored! Food is great...they have happy hour and we ordered crab cake, calamari, beef tacos, catfish, pork belly tacos. They were all good. The catfish though was on the salty side. Service was superb I wish I got the server's name. My friends got drinks---I'm not able to review as I just got water but this is a great place to hang out and catch up with great company.

Came here for lunch and arrive shortly after they opened. No crowd, but a few patrons we present. Festive holiday decorations made for a nice dining experience. Christa (waitress) was on top of her game with service. She made the recommendation of the house burger, since that's what I was in the mood for. Also raved about the blackened fries. What I loved most was she gave me a solid disclaimer about the spicy dill pickles - of which I am not a fan of. The burger was made as ordered. This is a HUGE burger! I only was able to finish half. It was #delish! Will definitely return. There are some good-looking menu options I'd like to try.

$10 for this.... "Wedge salad" barely anything in there and next to NO bacon or bleu cheese for 10 dollars.

$10 wedge salad for a minuscule serving. Barely anything bacon or bleu cheese. Looks nothing like the picture they used to promote it.

    Excellent catfish appetizer!

Courteous, friendly and great service! Went there for a friend's birthday with a number of folks. It was hopping for a Wednesday! Service was great, server super friendly and the food excellent! Wonderful catfish appetizer and great main courses. I have been there several times over the years, but forgot what a great spot it is. Recommended.

The Pattie in this burger was delicious! The fries were stale like.

Food+service for the price = never again, not worth it. We were assigned to this seating and we mentioned the mess. No one bothered to clean it up the hole time we were there. The waiter did a crappy job on checking up on us. He went MIA till I grabbed the attention of another staffer. My first and last time here. I regret wasting my money and time here.

My daughter and I are traveling and needed somewhere good to eat! So decided to drop in this little place and we were so glad we did!! Atmosphere was great but the food was phenomenal!

The atmosphere was nice. Not too bright. The service was okay. The food was f@*king great. You can taste the difference in the quality.

Hi gang, long time listener first time writer. I love visiting foxhole, and have since you guys first opened. The food is always consistent and delicious and the service is great. I just have one question about a new tax that I saw on my ticket tonight, that I don't quite understand. The cost of a beer on happy hour is supposed to be six dollars. However, when I'm looking at the taxes, I see that you've added a 50 Cent mixed drink charge. When I asked the bartender about this, he said that it's a fee that you guys pass along for every drink that's ordered. So if I had had two beers that tax would've been a dollar meeting that the actual cost of your beers is $6.50, not the $6 advertised. Can you guys help explain why you have this charge?

Visited right when opened. Doesn't open til 3, so there wasn't really anyone here yet. However it's very nice inside. The food was good, had a really good waiter as well.

The food is always good here, the ambience is always nice, and the servers are always so so wonderful, but I'm just not sure it lives up to the prices they set. It's just barely too expensive for me

It was my first time visiting Foxhole Tavern, as I normally pass it when driving on 183 but never really thought much of it until recently. Came in for a Sunday brunch and started off with drip coffee, and the eggs benedict dish without bacon. Austin was the name of our server and he was super attentive and kind. The benedict dish was not too big or small---it was just right! The potato cubes had a light spicy seasoning and mayo sauce, but we were also able to request ketchup. In addition to the hollandaise sauce, the muffins were topped with a scrumptious spinach artichoke dip, and sliced cherry tomatoes were a sweet accompaniment on the side. My bf and I also shared a Belgian waffle, which came out beautifully presented. Just enough jam, syrup, and fruit! I also recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice. It can get pretty dark inside and sometimes there is a live band playing music so that cam be a nuisance if you prefer to eat in a quieter setting.

An ice cold beer from the tap and a carafe of ice water.

A tidal wave of sauces, both creamy and hot, yet not all that flavorful nuked my tastebuds. To be clear, I like spicy food. I like sauces. I'm not a foodie but I have been known to watch an episode of 'Chopped'. This one is chopped from our list for now. Apologies to the staff who are top of their game and doing a fine job taking care of the customers.

I was craving Ube and might have gone a bit overboard on ordering dessert because they had so many Ube options. The building is colorful and decorated in bright pink with fun artwork and decor for an uplifting vibe. The line moved quickly and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I was able to place my order and pay with Apple Pay. I ordered the Taiyaki Sundae with black sesame and ube swirl soft serve served in a fish shaped mochi Belgian style waffle with Oreo dust on top. You can customize your sundae with filling like organic red sweet beans, Nutella or custard and toppings like Oreo dust, fruity pebbles or rainbow sprinkles. I ate this on site and the nutty black sesame balanced the sweet ube perfectly, and the Oreo topping added the best crunch. They had a variety of mochi donut flavors. Lucky for me, nothing was sold out today. I ordered the Oreo ube mochi donut and ube milk tea to-go. I ate the mochi donut later that day and it was probably my least favorite item from my order. It had the chewy mochi texture however I didn't get enough of the rich ube flavor. It had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste and the Oreo overpowered the ube. I drank the ube milk tea the next day and it was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor profile of the beverage and would order it again. Overall, enjoyed my selections and will be back to try more dessert options and flavors from one of the most unique Asian dessert spots in Austin!

What looked like a traditional milk toast dessert, was literally four pieces of stale bread, toasted and stacked on top of each other. that tasted freezer burnt with lots of sauce on top. No topping between each layer so it was not flavorful or tasty and all you could taste was a weird chemical flavor from the bread. Same thing with the ice cream, so freezer burnt that it tasted of chemicals, cardboard, and didn't even melt despite sitting on the plate for 15+ minutes. The Taro tea itself was fine with the crème brûlée topping, but the brown sugar Boba had the same chemical "going bad" flavor to it. It was super hard and bitter tasting instead of sweet. The soufflé pancakes were fine, but the ice cream was terrible on that too. It's hard to mess up Ice Cream, but somehow they managed.

I asked for a recommendation as a first time and was told I have to try the original to start. Service seemed friendly but felt a little rushed for me to hurry up. Cheesecake Biscotti - from my small slice, I was impressed. It's an airy cookie that's baked to a crispy finish. The exterior is crispy but the inside is fluffy, it's a fun texture that simply feels remarkable. Plus the overall cheesecake flavor is a delightful sweetness. Matcha Cheesecake - I was impressed with the softness. The small sample was so light yet ready to fall from the toothpick at any moment. It was just so delicate. Matcha was present though it's hard to say how strong from a quick sample so I'll reserve on that. Original Cheesecake - now for the real experience, it's no exaggeration to say that this quite literally melts in your mouth. It's almost like the cake simply dissolves, leaving a cheesecake flavor behind. Super fluffy, light, and airy, the cheesecake is delicate and when you eat it, your taste buds light up as if a spotlight is emphasizing the presentation. Fantastic end to any meal as well, especially because it's not heavy at all.
