This was a comfortable place that we stayed in for a week in October 2018. The only problem we had was NO WATER AT 2:00 AM. We banged on the inn next door business area door and there was(luckily) someone there. After a couple hours, we had water. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay. We were charged for things we couldn't use(pool, mini golf, etc, in rain). See pics. Family friendly. Ok staff. Clean. Lot parking. Marcy'sDinerTantrumScale 5/5- NoScreamingKids.

We paid an equivalent to $2,736.80 in points (88,000 points) for our two 1-bedroom units & stayed for 4 nights. We paid $139 PER ROOM as a transfer fee. When we arrived, we were required to pay an $160 in cleaning fees. We weren't thrilled about it, b/c it's not what we were told when we called ahead, but we paid assuming that it meant our rooms would be extremely clean. WE WERE WRONG. We come to Branson resorts yearly, and this is our singular bad experience. CLEANLINESS When we got to the rooms, there were a half dozen large spider webs/spiders in one of the rooms. The bathtubs was dirty and stained, and the carpet made our feet dirty. The faucets were corroded. We had to spend a significant amount of time cleaning in order to feel quasi-comfortable bring in our things. QUALITY The walls were extremely thin and we could hear everything. The second night, we were startled awake at 2 AM by a couple having sex, & we are not light sleepers. No one could go back to sleep. The continued noise (even after calling the front desk) was so disruptive that our youngest was scared to tears and thought someone was getting hurt. We actually had to leave and pack into our other room to finally go back to sleep. We were told this resort was recently updated and the websites needed to photos, but we didn't find evidence of any renovation. The cabinets were falling off, drywall cracked, fixtures installed incorrectly/crooked, and one of our doors going to the outside was broken. The furniture was old/cheap and nothing coordinated. Even the TVs were mounted crooked to the wall! COMFORTABILITY The beds were hard and lumpy, and so were the pillows. The dining chairs were extremely uncomfortable and small. Not once in our four nights there did I feel like I could relax. The towels were small & there were only TWO in the room!! AMENTITIES There are no food options on site or within walking distance that we could find. We couldn't ever get connected to the WIFI with any of our devices. The pool is small. Everything in the gym seemed sticky. We had to buy everyday kitchen items normally already at resorts we've stayed at in the past. CUSTOMER CARE The man at check in was rude. When we went to the front desk the next day with our issues w/ photos, the manager was unapologetic and dismissive. They took zero accountability, and she actually asked us if we wanted to go on a sales tour. PLEASE DON'T PUT YOUR FAMILY THROUGH STAYING HERE. YOU'LL REGRET IT.

If I could give them a 0, I would. I am an owner and currently staying in Stormy Point Village…read more A couple years ago, we were offered to come out for a 3 night trip and we took my in-laws. They put us in their Carriage Place property, which was run down. For the presentation, we drove to Stormy Point Village where we were shown a nice 4 bedroom cottage. We asked if our 75k points would cover a stay here and he said yes, but only in the 2 bedroom cottage, which was totally fine with us. Spoiler: 75k gets you a 2 bedroom cottage in Jan/Feb for the week. Because our 75k points couldn't be rolled over to next yr nor saved in Trading Places, we had to use them or lose them. We opted to stay in Stormy Point for the week, but 75k only gets you a studio in Aug in Stormy Point Lakeside, which is their dilapidated building. After complaining of the issues in not 1, but 2 studios, they allowed us to move to a cottage. The cottage has issues too, but better than the studios. We were told about an owner's information meeting that would take an hr. Turns out it is a "New Owners Orientation," which is their term to upsell current owners. Nick was our sales guy and he started the meeting with "No offense but I usually don't meet with people like you." And he continues to state that he's so high up in the company that he only came in because they had a shortage of employees that day. When I told him that we weren't interested in upgrading, he then says "Don't take this the wrong way but I can read people like you. I'm not trying to sell you anything." Well, Nick is a liar because they tried to get us to upgrade to 200k points for $17k to use all the perks of our timeshare since they have re-vamped it. I'm sorry but if I'm already an owner, I should already get to use all the new perks after a re-vamp without needing to pay more. I'm not sure where my HOA goes but it's clearly NOT at this property. Save your time and money and DO NOT give Capital Vacations another thought. If you are so set on staying in Stormy Point Village, you can book directly and pay $100 more for the week than what I pay for my HOA without the headache of this company.

If they rent the house during the days we booked we get our money back other wise good bye 3,000.00. they rented the house for three of the days and we had to pay for the one they didn't rent. They are not a good place to rent from we always do well with vrbo or Airbnb. I couldn't believe the crap we went through. I would NEVER use this rental company again. As they say Buyer beware

Preparation for the visit-- We left our house a little early because we wanted to get to Silver Dollar City before storms hit and try to enjoy our stay. We had spoken to associates from the resort who stated it was ok to show up two hours early and they would take care of the situation. Arrival at the resort-- When we arrived, we were met by security who were very kind and directed us to where our cabin was. The security officers provided a map and circled key locations for our stay. The layout of the resort was a little confusing and we ended up getting into an area where we had to back out. The roads are very narrow and leave little-to-no room for mistake. Your emergency brake better work if you're planning on parking near the edge of the roads. Arrival at the Cabin-- When we arrived at our cabin, we referred to the instructions left in our email to gain entry. The code for the door was not working. I called support once and left a message; then called again and an associate picked up. He stated we weren't supposed to be at the location for another two hours. It appeared somewhere along the line that someone did not pass information to the appropriate parties. After about twenty minutes we were texted a couple of different codes and the problem was solved. Inside the Cabin-- The cabin we stayed at was very cozy and welcoming. The lighting left something to be desired but it was sufficient to see our way around. The rooms were laid out nicely and were appealing. The crew maintaining the appearance of the cabin went the extra mile to try and decorate the inside to match the Christmas theme. All electronics we used worked and we had no issues connecting to the local WiFi. The dining utensils and amenities were clean and stored in an easily accessible location. The crew that maintained inventory and cleanliness of the cabin left some snacks and coffee in Tupperware containers for the first few uses which was nice when we wanted to brew a cup of coffee. The floors were appealing and everything matched the "woodsy" feel we were looking for. The floors were creaky in certain spots so it was difficult to move around the cabin without making too much noise. The beds were very firm and not what we were used to back at home. Sleeping was very difficult based on this. The thermostat was working all day and night to keep temperatures to our liking, so I can only assume insulation needs a little work (Mind you we rented this cabin in the late fall, early winter.) The water pressure was fine in the showers and sinks. The showers were clean but looked to be built for smaller people. I'm 6'1" and could easily see over the shower door, let alone had to 'duck' to get under the shower head. The bathroom does not have a fan so if you're about to take a load off, use the window in the bathroom and be prepared to let it aerate for a while. The toilet paper was 1-ply. If you're used to a bidet you may want to bring either flushable baby-wipes or a portable bidet. The jets in the bath did not work and we were not able to fill it with water warm enough to our liking. Most of the throw pillows were flat and need to be replaced or re-fluffed. The couch was uncomfortable. There were sufficient enough outlets available in the bedroom to charge our watches and phones but not much else. There was only one night stand which was the location where the power strip was located; so everything had to be placed on one side when we wanted to charge them. Some of the coasters for beverages were broken but they still fulfilled their function. Leaving the resort-- We decided to end our stay one day early because we saw everything we wanted to see in Branson and our needed sleep quality was more valuable than staying another day. Thoughts and overall review-- We got what we paid for minus some of the inconveniences that were listed above that should not have existed (Bed quality, toilet paper quality, bath not working properly, etc.). We liked the cabin but not enough to book another stay here. We are going to try our luck at another location the next time we visit.
