Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable tv room furniture, bathrooms looked like they had never been used, etc. Nice front porch overlooking the lake was so relaxing. We rented a boat slip...yes, it was great too! Electric outlets and tie-down straps were provided as well as a nice deck at the end for fishing & swimming. We paid $140 a night (slept 6)and $20 a night for the boat slip. Amazing price for the quality of everything!

I suggest you call them directly for rental. We rented this through Home Away but was told that Home Away charges fees that you won't have to pay with direct booking with the owner.

My brother in law rented a jet ski for Saturday, but the one that was for him was not working properly, so Kenny was able to save his reservation for Sunday and we were able to all enjoy the water that day. While there, we were able to take a pontoon boat out and enjoy the water of Table Rock Lake - The boat was durable, but not the best - but it's a rental so we didn't expect a whole lot. The house itself was amazing. Walking into it for the first time was breath taking. There was tons of room for all of the guests! The pool that is there, is large enough for all accommodations and has a waterfall and beautiful scenery around it. Overall, my family couldn't have been happier! We will return!

But, I can't believe how far $250 a night got us in this resort. The suite was incredible clean and spacious. Everything seemed relatively updated, maintained, and very clean. The resort grounds were immaculate. The lodge/style resort rooms looked great. The adult-ish pool area looks much better than the online pictures. In fact, we commented that this was the one resort we've ever stayed in where the pictures didn't do the room and grounds justice. Most places filter and photoshop the crap out of their pictures. The staff and clientele were polite and friendly. The strip is nearby, if tourist traps are your thing, but the resort feels secluded. The only thing I can think to comment on is that there really isn't a view, which is no big deal. I think that's why it's priced slightly lower than the other resorts that have views. The grounds are nice enough to look at and the aforementioned aspects are more important. We'd stay here again. It was a nice surprise.

We call each other our "vacation family" and our kids, and now my grandkids, have grown up together, learned to swim and made so many memories at this resort, that it is almost painful to create this post. We have outlasted 3 previous owners whom we also considered part of that "vacation family". They were welcoming people who did everything in their power to make a stay at Rainbow Haven Resort and Marina as memorable as it could possibly be. However, that all came to an abrupt end yesterday. Sometime in the early afternoon, we were told that they closed the books out every Saturday and we needed to pay our bill before the end of the day, just one of a string of BS lines that I completely don't believe, a day before we were to leave. So before I went to the office to pay I checked the website to verify the price of the room so that I knew approximately what I was going to be charged. BUT when I got in there I was charged around $50 more than I expected. Mind you we had already been told that the reason there were no BBQ grills on the decks any longer is because the insurance wouldn't pay if the place burned down and they had provided the grills, but if the guests brought their own it was ok. WHAT?!?!?!?! The next one was that we should have seen the pool 2 hours before we got there because "it was pea green". Speaking of the pool, you can see in the pictures below, what we had to deal with all week. It was not cleaned 1 single time after we got there on July 1 and still hadn't been cleaned when we left on July 9th. So an argument began regarding payment and I refused to pay anymore than what was stated on the website for the room. She continually told me that the website had been updated to which I replied, "I will bring it up and show you right now on my phone". Her reply about the dirty pool was, "You were in the pool everyday. Why didn't you tell us". "BECAUSE IT IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY TO TELL YOU TO CLEAN YOUR OWN POOL!!!!! I DON'T OWN THIS RESORT YOU DO!!" The argument with her ended with her stomping off into her house and telling me we were no longer welcome at Rainbow Haven Resort and Marina. I CANNOT abide liars and underhandedness and those 2 people are the epitomy of both words. The pictures below show just how bad the pool area was and the boat dock was such a joke that it took 2 people to get our boat out because you had to be a gymnast to maneuver around the kayak that was laying on the walkway obstructing it. The last straw was that they sat on their deck the entire time watching us AND called in some kind of "security wanna be's" to hang out while we were leaving. I really take offense to someone with guns on their belt hanging around while we had our grandsons with us and were only packing our stuff and leaving. I would caution EVERYONE to stay as far away from this place as possible and if you have made a deposit for a stay in the future, be prepared to not have it returned because the place is going on the market in October and at the price they are going to ask will not likely ever sell and they will wind up giving it back to the bank. They may be able to convince others that their lies are true, but I have learned quite a few things in my 50+ years and dealt with better liars and cheats than they have ever thought about being. PLUS, I have ran that resort for a couple of weeks at a time for more times that I can count and know how much work it takes to run it. But I did fine and did my full time job to boot!! It was the people that you came into contact everyday that made me go back again and again, whenever asked. I totally enjoyed it. So our Rainbow Haven days have come to an end but next year will bring a grand adventure that will create new memories!!!!

He even got to catch his first fish off their boat dock. The caboose was spotless, and the area is perfectly quiet. The shower is very hot and very strong - two of my favorite adjectives for a shower. The wood-burning fireplace/stove is a real treat. The fire pit outside the caboose is a big plus. Be sure to give "The Fillin' Station" (restaurant) a try. We had their catfish special on that Friday night, and it was incredible. We also went to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge and visited a bunch of rescued wild animals. If you haven't checked out Caboose Junction, it is well worth the drive to Lampe.

A Sad Decline: My wife has been coming to Artilla Cove since she was a child, and I've been joining her for nearly 15 years since we got married. It's heartbreaking to watch this property deteriorate over the years. What was once a cherished family destination has become increasingly run down and mismanaged. This latest visit was the final straw. Unprofessional Staff & Operations: When we arrived at 4:15pm, the staff was already packing up to leave for the day with no one scheduled to remain on-site. I'm genuinely concerned about how guests are supposed to check in if the office is completely unattended. The staff we did encounter were rude and disorganized, which set a terrible tone for our trip. Hidden Fees: We were hit with a surprise $50 cleaning fee that was never mentioned during our online booking. This kind of dishonest practice is unacceptable, and we should not have been charged for something that wasn't disclosed upfront. Property Looks Like a Junkyard: The grounds resembled a used car lot more than a vacation rental property. There were multiple vehicles scattered around--some on cinderblocks, others with hoods propped open--severely limiting guest parking. We also spotted at least one boat and a small bulldozer on the property. This is not the scenic lake getaway we paid for. The newest house on the property was an eyesore with a door-sized hole cut into the siding on one side but not the other, directly obstructing what should have been a pleasant lake view. Inappropriate Behavior: Most concerning was witnessing someone openly smoking marijuana from a bong in full view of guests--including our eight-year-old child. The smell was overwhelming as we left for Silver Dollar City. While I understand recreational use is legal in Missouri, this kind of behavior in plain sight of families with young children is completely inappropriate and unprofessional for any hospitality business. Bottom Line: We came to the Lake of the Ozarks area for a relaxing family vacation and instead found ourselves in an uncomfortable, poorly managed situation. After years of loyalty to this property, we will absolutely be finding alternative accommodations for future trips to the area. I cannot recommend Artilla Cove to anyone, especially families.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Hot tub and small outdoor pool from late spring to early fall. Cottages have small reasonably stocked kitchenette--toaster, coffee pot w/ filters, small refrigerator, gas stove, dishes, etc. Grills are available for use. Grocery stores not too far away. Before grocery shopping, take inventory of what you need. Towels and swim towels provided. Toiletries include hand/bath soap. No shampoo, cream rinse, lotions or similar. No maid service. Towels provided as needed. If you want relaxation, quietness by the lake, peace, come here. If you want noise, stay on "the strip". If you want pampered, find someplace else to go. But this is getting to be our annual motorcycle road trip destination.
