Do not go here for sales, service or parts! They will treat you like garbage and rip you off whether it's sales, service or parts. This is definitely one of the best dealers in the area. This place has always had a good service department ( even as Zylstra) but now the service in the rest of the dealership matches what I've gotten in service. For service I've had great experiences scheduling services the same day I call in, and have never had them take longer than a day or two on my bike. It can be hard getting the service department on the phone but they are great once you do. I've purchased 3 bikes through another Illinois Harley dealership ( City Limits) and always found them great to work with so I was thrilled when I heard that they had bought out the dealer closest to me so now I wouldn't have to drive the hour to Paletine to get to a dealer I liked working with. Recently I brought a friend in to trade her starter bike in for a Nightster. The salesman, Justin, was polite, friendly, and very helpful. She ended up getting an amazing deal on the bike with no run around or hassles. In the end she paid around what the same bike is going for privately, but has the support of the dealership behind the sale. I'm very particular of who does work on my bike. Most work has been done by Heritage. Not sure what's happening at Heritage, but the service department just seems to be going down. I've a new SG and I'm turning it into a tricked out bagger. The work I needed done is complicated..triple trees with a rake. I drop my bike off at FRHD and immediately the service manager comes up, looks at my bike and asked how they could help me. Bernie, the service manager, took me through the work explaining how things would be done. I needed some other work done, so I bought the parts.. Bottom line my bike looks amazing. Bernie called me when there items that needed discussing. The experience was smooth and easy. I'm taking my bike back. read more

This review will never be able to fully convey how spectacular every is at Fox River HD! We have been in there buying parts for our bike a few times and they were helpful with all of that. But when we actually went in to BUY a bike, that's when the fireworks really began. Jimmy, in sales, was so patient and answered every question we had. There were no "hard sales" tactics, no sugar coated BS, and no uncomfortable moments. Jimmy is personable, well educated about bikes and buying a bike, and has a great smile. Brian, in finance, was really willing to work with us. He asked what we could afford and worked around that number. No hidden fees, no BS, no shenanigans. He is a genuinely nice guy and you can feel it in your gut. Mike, in warranty, also figured out a great warranty for us without giving us more than we needed. The real magic was when we walked out of the office with our papers in our hands...engines revving, horns blowing, all sorts of staff coming towards us to congratulate us on our new purchase. Every staff member wanted to shake our hands. And then we got the in- store poker run which was a tour with a prize at the end. I can't remember ever feeling so happy dealing with sales people. Worst service department. Wish I could give them zero stars. It took three calls over the course of two weeks to get them to schedule a time to pick up my bike for service. Finally got a date and time, called them an hour before the scheduled pick up so they could confirm and then they still NO SHOWED. I then called them an hour after the scheduled time to ask if they were still planning on coming. They said they would check and call me back. NO CALL BACK! Missed an afternoon of work because of it. Obviously, they have lost my business. If you're thinking of buying a Harley or having it serviced, call Woodstock Harley instead. Buyer beware! Fox River Harley is GOD AWFUL! read more

I came in here last month looking to buy a used bike that I saw in their website and craigslist ad. It was a 99 Honda shadow 1100 (OH no shopping for honda at a harley). Scott (or shawn) greeted me and I told him that I wanted to buy that particular bike. He looked at his "book" and said that it has been sold over the weekend. Seems like he didn't really try to look for what I wanted. I was kinda disappointed but I was still encouraged to look around. So I did and sat on a few bikes but those were out of my price range. He then gave me his business card and off to my merry way I go. A week later, two weeks, and a month goes by, that bike I wanted still shows up in their website and craigslist add and the price actually changed and fluctuated. Hmm. Once again the worst.. Attempted to go in for a small issue with a radio switch. First thing they say, as they always do when you walk in... "I can't even look at your bike for 2-3 weeks". Ok, so figured I'd make an appt for a day I could wait for it. They respond with, "you'll need to leave it for at least a week so we cab troubleshoot it" Gimme a break.. No thanks. Not leaving my bike with you for a week or more for a switch that can be replaced in an hour. Called Woodstock HD.. "They checked to make sure switch was in stock and told me to come by and they'd swap it while a wait. Always the same ole story at Fox River.. They think they are going out of their way to get your bike in. Horrible service. read more

My wife and I stopped in on Sunday 6/4. We were greeted immediately.I believe his name is Jerry? Sorry if that's the wrong name! We had a great conversation, the guys from the parts dept. took really good care of me, took the seat off of a bike on the showroom floor, walked out to the parking lot and put it on my bike so I could see how it felt. That blew me away, I ordered the seat. FRHD is our new home, it's a bit longer ride from my house but totally worth it, to be treated with respect was such a good feeling!! Fox River Harley Davidson on Randall Road in St. Charles Illinois is by far The best motorcycle dealer on the planet! I Took the motorcycle training course last year in 2016. Very nice people to work with. Staff from the apparel department, to service to sales all treated me like royalty. Even though I did not buy a bike after taking the riding course, every time I walked in the door just to look at all of the eye candy of bikes, not one person tried to force me to buy one. The person who guided me through every exhausting question I had about motorcycles was Jimmy Mauro. What a great guy! Brian, Shaun and Mike made my buying experience a great one! If you are buying a bike, it's not bad, service or parts forget it, just forget it. 4 times I had to order parts. then they truly tried to screw me over on parts prices and the labor was beyond ridiculous. the only way I got mine fix was after 11 days past parts being delivered was to tell them " I'm coming in Friday and getting my bike, if the parts are on it great otherwise put them in the box and i'll take them with me" but got there and some of the parts were loose, thank god I checked before it took off !!! read more

i brought my bike in for an estimate i came in on friday to look it over and get an idea of the estimate they were not done yet bike was ok so i went home they called later with estimate went in saturday and picked up the bike after i got home i noticed somebody had stolen my timing cover and replaced it with an old crappy one.manager asked around could not find who did it so he got me a new one.im good but the thief still works there and im telling everyone i know to stay away from service there.who knows who else this has happened to and they didnt notice. read more

I took my bike in looking to trade it in for a new CVO Street Glide. These cheap skates priced my bike at $15k. I have $7-8k in upgrades. Two other dealers offered over $19k. One was at $19,200 and the other was at $19,500. Looks like I'll be making a deal with one of them. I purchased my first bike from these chumps. The service department (as you'll read in other reviews on Yelp), their sales dept. and even the parts dept. SUCK! They're a bunch of snooty, greedy B!TCHES! The clothing department is nice though! Horrible dealer... hands down. Rude and was very disrespectful to me and my wife told me to leave because they were closing amongst other words and lots a sarcastic gestures from other employees like pointing at wrist watch like we were inconvenencing them .Typical Incompetence from start to finish both days. First day I was treated ok but day two of test ride closer to closing time even though it should never matter... Seemed I was interrupting all of them as I saw an open beer on test ride day on desk in manager office with customers (I like I thought I was going to be) still building.Never shop here, who know what you may encounter. I just bought my 4th bike from these guys, so my expectations might be a little higher, but I tell you what, they never cease to impress me with their effort. From the sales person Jimmy, the the sales manager Brian, and even the "Grand Poobah of Finance" Michael, these guys knocked one out of the park. I've never had a dealer of any kind, car, boat, motorcycle, or a damn washing machine, work so hard to get me on the bike I wanted for the price I wanted and the financing terms I wanted. Last week I spent over $200.for children's clothing for my grandkids' birthday party. Kids loved their HD shirts and jackets. Grand niece has hers coming up. Got to Fox River Harley this evening at 8, (closing time) but the door was still open. I stood in front of sales woman who said she just closed out her drawer. She said she can't sell me anything. If I owned the place, she'd be unemployed. Why is she there but to sell HD merchandise? Though this dealership is the closest, and my bike is in storage there, I will find another with which to do business. read more

Bought my Road King here a few years back. I was very happy with the trade in price on the Suzuki I parted with. Everything went well in the trade. I was happy with the bike prep. I've gone in over the years and purchased jeans, battery charges, shirts, sunglasses, etc and have been waited on in turn. Really nothing to complain about. I've looked at other bikes but only looked. They always ask if I need some help. If not, they leave me to my own devices until I ask some questions. Answers are provided. But they don't seem to be breathing down your neck trying to get you to commit to something you don't want to do. All in all, I've been satisfied. read more

bought my 2011 Wide glide from fox river Harley. He owns quite a bit of dealerships in the Chicago area. He gives a veteran discount (which helps me out). Anyways I bought a bike from the guys and I got a really good deal on a used WG and they took my Yamaha in on trade. They took the bike unseen and took my word for what kind it was and mileage. They then dropped the new bike off at my house, which is almost an hour away from the dealer and they picked up the used bike. They did this free of charge. The dealer I dealt with name is jimmy and honestly it was a no pressure sale. I really hate going into dealers and they breath down your neck to get you to buy the bike or car or whatever. This guy was totally laid back with me. When the time came for the pressure to buy a warranty I told the warranty guy I didn't really want it and Jimmy was like "no big deal no pressure here." Honestly I could have walked out at any minuet and he would have been totally cool about it. it really made this bike buying experience really nice. I'm the kind of guy that gets all frustrated when making huge purchases but this was honestly just super relaxed and calm. The other best part was I put pipes and a breather on right away and brought it to their sister shop wild fire which is really close to my house. They did the dyno and remap cheaper than any other dealer in the area. Not only that but in Chicago it's pretty cold this time of year so there dropping it off again, free of charge. It honestly makes it a pleasure to bring the bike in. the whole experience was a 5 out of 5 for sure. Wow I don't even know where to begin with writing this review. I've never been one to write reviews or do surveys but the service I received from Fox River Harley Davidson was second to none. I started my shopping experience at American Heritage Motorcycles in South Elgin. I found a Harley there that I really liked. There was going to be a wait of a few days until me and my wife could purchase this particular bike because they didn't officially own it on trade yet. We decided we would go window shop at Fox River Harley since we had the desire to ride and thought we might rent one for the day to cure our riding fever until we finalized the deal on our other bike. Immediately upon walking through the door we noticed 3 gentlemen sitting at the front desk when you walk in. My normal experience is people in this environment acting too good and not very friendly. I was immediately proved wrong. Jimmy came up to me and gave me a firm handshake and introduced himself. I initially tried brushing him off as we were set on a bike and would feel guilty wasting someone's time. I explained to him that I had a troubled financial past and my credit score was too low to be able to get a deal done anyways so no thanks. Jimmy then introduced me to Brian the sales manager. The 4 of us talked for a while about my options and Brian kept me confident that he could help us improve our credit and explained how the process worked. His experience in the mortgage industry carried over well as he explained things for credit to me. I was skeptical but listened. He showed me a beautiful 07 ULTRA CLASSIC SCREAMIN' EAGLE CVO. I laughed it off because I knew I couldn't get approved for the loan. He asked me what I wanted to pay a month and I gave him the number. After working with finance for a hew hours he had me approved with almost the same I had put down at the other dealership and a lower payment. The experience and the effort the staff put into my first Harley purchase was amazing and I am very grateful. The amazing service and professionalism is only second to the roaring of bikes, horns, and cheers as you walk out of Michael's office for your finance paperwork. This is the second bike that I have purchased from Fox River and the service from them is Great! In May of 2014, we bought my son a 883 Sportster, which we only saw on line. They took pics of the bike and texted them to us and put a hold on the bike for $500 so we could pick it up the next day! Our paperwork was almost completed by the time we got there and they were all so fantastic.... On July 2nd, 2015, I traded in my Deluxe for a Street Glide and couldn't have been happier! Jimmy was our salesperson and took the time and patience with me! I couldn't have asked for a better salesperson!!! Kevin in Service is AMAZING!!! I was leaving for Sturgis in a month and EVERYTHING extra that I had wanted was on my bike - including my new pipes!!! And when I switched my "theme" to chrome instead of black - he was happy to reorder my parts in chrome. I can't say enough good things about them and the experience that I've had!!! All I have to say is awsome!! I dealt with James as a salesman and Brian the GM. I was taking care of beyond believe I've been to other Harley dealers where I was treated very poorly and they were trying to slide extra money in and refigure taxes that were incorrect to try to make more profit on me these guys were completely straight honest upfront and didn't try to sneak anything in on me they were straightforward on the price. The service there is impeccable as well every time I say they're going to call you back they call you back or answer any question with a smile on their face they are absolutely awesome I will never go anywhere else to buy a motorcycle the one I traded in I only had for a couple of months because the prior dealer was very dishonest where I purchased it these guys are absolutely the opposite. When it came to negotiating Brian kept his word was very fair and really took care of me. I would also like to give a shout out to Britney in the motor close department who was absolutely wonderful knows her stuff will give you an honest answer she's not just there looking to make money off of you and sell you stuff she will actually tell you if something looks good or if it looks bad. Britney is also very knowledgeable with everything and I mean everything that has to do with motor clothes and accessories. My sales experience was excellent. The post sales experience was awful and I will not return for a purchase or for service. Those working in and running the service department clearly don't understand how to be honest with the customer. I purchased a used bike, as part of the deal they were going to put new tires on the bike. It took over three weeks. First I'm told it takes three days to get the tires and a couple days to put them on, I patiently wait a week and follow up. The tires are still not in yet. I talk to my salesman and the service department and am told the tires were delayed, just a few more days. Waited a few more days and same story. Just over three weeks after the sale, I get the call that the bike is ready. While they are close to my house, I will go elsewhere for service. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR SERVICE! My husband and I both have bikes and we go to several Chicago area Harley dealerships for our purchases and service. This last summer, I purchased a bike for myself at the Glenview Harley dealership and it was a smooth transaction, and the employees were awesome. I had some work done to the bike too, and everything was complete and returned to me very quickly (within a couple days MAX). In late August/early September, my husband bought a bike at the Fox River Harley Davidson dealership. WHILE DRIVING IT HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP (RIGHT AFTER PURCHASING IT), THE BIKE DIED (SEVERAL TIMES). My husband is very laid back and chill (even though he obviously just paid $1000s for a bike with some issues). He immediately returned the bike to the dealership *by trailering it) and asked them to figure out the issue and wanted the bike fixed. We explained that we still had a lot of riding we wanted to do in the fall and hoped to get the bike up and running and returned ASAP (especially since he just paid CASH for the bike and it didn't even run). Well, we've spent months and months (MISSING ALL OF OUR FALL RIDING TIME) calling and being ignored by their repair shop. Every time we call either one of their mechanics "broke something while fixing your bike so we are waiting on parts" or "it should be ready soon and we'll call you" - which NEVER happens. We keep calling, and as of TODAY (4 MONTHS LATER!), we've NEVER seen the bike again, and we missed ALL of our fall riding time together. Whenever we complain, they say a "manager will call you". At this point (4 MONTHS LATER), we don't want a manager to call us. We want the bike FIXED and RETURNED. read more

I wish that I had seen the reviews of the service department before I had left my bike in their care, but live and learn I guess. I only came here as the local mom and pop shops near me have all shuttered and I literally had the cords bared completely around the back tire of my bike. This is something that I could do on my own but at the height of riding season, I thought that getting it done professionally would go faster. Boy was I ever wrong on that one. Long story short, it took them 2 full weeks to replace a set of tires. I had to hound them to move the process along and communication on their part was virtually non-existent. I have had tires replaced on bikes I have owned and it never took more than a day or two to get it done. Lousy service and dealership prices. read more

This will be a little lengthy, but worth the read. I bought my bike here 5 1/2 years ago. The sales experience was out of this world. They blew away other dealers on the price of the bike by a mile, and I was just wanting a regular Ultra Classic. I ended up buying an Ultra Limited for CHEAPER that what everyone else wanted for a regular Ultra Classic. Thru the years Fox River has made a majority of the repairs on my bike. I have to go out of my way to take the bike there because the one right here in my home town can never get to it right away. Fox River was always quick and hassle free. Last year in September, they had to rebuild my motor and trans with the bike only having 62k miles on it (no, I do not abuse my bike. I take VERY good care of it). It was all covered under the ESP plan. Just this last weekend, I was in Port Huron, Michigan when the bike broke down. I had the nearest Harley dealer pick it up and see what was wrong with it. Mind you my warranty expired this last April. They told me the top of the head blew near the exhaust. That head was just replaced under the warranty last September. I figured since its been just one week under a year and almost 21,000 miles after the fact, I was buying a new piston head. I just received the phone call of the year. The dealer in Michigan had contacted Fox River, and For River said they'd stand behind their work and cover the repairs!!!!!!!!!! I'm stunned. I'm ecstatic!!!!!! Fox River Harley just continues to amaze me. Thank you for being a true stand up dealership!!!!! This bike will be paid for in just a couple of months and I am planning on buying a second one in the near future. They have definitely earned my business. Now called Fox River. I test drove a 2012 Street glide and had a salesperson by Nick help me. I was there about 20 mins and came to the table to discuss pricing. Was quoted $26,000 total otd for a new bike. I wanted to check around and found a place online in Ohio that would give me the same bike with the abs and cruise ($1500 options) for $22,000 total otd. I called Nick and asked if they could come close to meeting the price. He told me he would call me back. I didnt hear from him till the next day at which point he put his sales manager "Ed" on the phone. He told me the price was impossible and to low and if I brought him a bill of sale for that price he would give me a free t-shirt. I ended up hanging up with them and calling Chicago Harley in glenview. I talked with a sales girl named Kristen who said they would do it. I picked up the bike from them, they were incredibly nice and gave us a good discount on accessories purchased as well. I went into Fox River Harley yesterday to get my free t-shirt. I saw Nick, gave him the bill of sale. After about 40 minutes of him texting "Ed" the salesmanger, he said Ed did not remember the conversation (although Nick did) and would not honor the free t-shirt. He then told me the price I paid from Chicago Harley was to much, which was amazing because they were 4k higher and wouldn't meet it when I offered it to them originally. I think he was upset they didn't take the sale when I offered it to them. They will now never see any buisness from me for service or any parts purchases. I would advise anyone considering a new Harley to research online first, and then call Chicago Harley. They were great. Only regret that I wasted time with Fox Valley (zystra) Harley. read more

Worst Harley-Davidson dealership ever. Service department is swamped with bikes and have terrible mechanics with an attitude. Clutch cable broke in their parking lot. Had to go to Woodstock for the cable. Refused to loan me a couple tools I didn't have on my kit regardless of offering my credit card and license. Danced around my questions and basically answered with "We can take a look, but it'll be a few days." What happened to helping a fellow biker? I'm not expecting free work, just an answer to a question. At least be a decent human being and share a little of your knowledge. Had to have my friend from Fornarelli Motorsports help me out. Parts department never has anything. Sales guy wouldn't let me leave without being in my face all the way to the door. Clothing department girls talk crap, whisper and giggle after acting helpful. Had to return a jacket once for my wife and have gotten the evil eye from an employee every time since. My wife and I are buying new bikes next spring, but we're going to Woodstock H-D from now on. read more
