We went to the Chicago Field Museum and spent hours on end splashing in the waves at Ohio Street Beach each day. Our counselors took us on a fun side quest to observe Chicago's sky line from the south side of Chicago's perspective. Our counselors, Matt and Eden were exceptional!! Matt knew a ton about Chicago's history and architecture. He was really engaging and would play football with us. Eden is a natural leader and ensured that kids were safe while having a good time. Overall I had an excellent time at Bobby's Bike Hike.

He was super passionate about the city and the food and was a wealth of knowledge on both topics. He also was very charismatic and when he shared stories of Chicago and the food, time flew by. Reflecting on the tour afterwards, my girlfriend and I remembered so many different things we learned because he was so good at keeping things interesting. In terms of the food, we hit the core Chicago staples of deep-dish pizza, roast beef sandwiches, and Chicago-style hotdogs. This was supplemented by a very small bag of popcorn and a small fudge bar. Now I've been on 20+ food tours and for a 3.5 hour tour costing $85, I'm used to 5-6 full food stops with 1-2 small bites compared to the 3 full food stops and 2 small bites, so that fell short. The tour also had an excessively large group with 14 people while many food tours are capped at 10 guests. This led to a few stops selected solely to accomodate a large group that had no significance to being authentically Chicago or foodie-driven like eating the Chicago-style hotdog at the touristy Millenium Hall (3.5 stars on Yelp). If you want to balance both the food and the tour of the city, then I'd recommend this tour for you. However, if you're only in it for the food, there might be better options out there.

At the first stop we saw the dried up I and M canal where the only mention of ghosts was that the workers who died building the canal were buried in the canal. The highlight of this stop was the washroom in the old toll house. Second stop was a tiny graveyard next to a truck weigh station. We saw where Tom's family was buried. Last stop we saw the grave of a Texan who had been killed in the Civil War. There was nothing ghostly about this tour. Either the Ottawa area has nothing to offer in this regard and this tour doesn't need to exist. Or this tour operator should rename this tour. Not sure what I'd call it. As a history buff, I have taken other graveyard tours and they were far more interesting. One tour I took had graveside reenactments of the people buried there. In this case, it's hard to believe they charge $35 per person for so little information. What may be a well meaning venture to promote Ottawa's history was not a ghostly graveyard tour.

Ask for Jack as a tour guide if you want someone who is fun, professional, and knowledgeable of Chicago. It was confusing where the path was and we ended up spending 20 minutes going away only to come back and ask for more details of where to go. They really should provide a map. Also, we had to ask them to remove the dead spiders and cobwebs we discovered while we were literally off the beaten path. Would we do it again? Yes. But pay close attention to where they say to go and, again, could've used a map. Also, be on the lookout for spiders, webs and other dirt and ask them to remove them prior to leaving the area.

This will be my third year as a three day rider for CowaLunga. As someone who has ridden in other…read moremulti-day charity rides, I can attest that this one is top notch! There are routes available for all levels. Do as little as 18 miles or ride all three days. You will feel an amazing sense of accomplishment at the end of a 190 mile bike ride. All routes are great, but I recommend considering the 2 or 3 day option. With a little training, it is an attainable challenge for even beginning riders. It is a well-supported ride. You will have fully stocked rest stops along the route, SAG vehicles always checking on you, and medical staff available should you need it. If you choose to do 2 or 3 days, your registration fee includes lodging. The first stop being in Lake Geneva at Conference Center Point and the second overnight being at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. You will have a bed! You don't have to camp, sleep on air mattresses, or pay extra for a hotel. Your registration also includes two meals each day. The route is well marked with interesting places to stop along the way. And the minimum fundraising commitment is not daunting - it is very achievable. Spend 3 days riding your bike in the summer warmth while riding up into scenic Wisconsin, all while raising money for healthy lungs and clean air........how can you go wrong!

He even offered to take us to the art institute the next day, however we did not have enough time as our flight was leaving too early. Would love to do the Tragic event tour next time. A few minutes later they came and got me and the technician showed me the problem, showed me issues that 2 other dealerships missed, and in less than an hour I was back on the road. I have had my Harley since 2017. I have never had a dealership that was this fast, polite, and fix more than my original issue, for nothing extra. If you are looking for a dealership that is truly dedicated to the customer, this is the place.
