Good enough food, but it's really about the beer. Chicken tenders appetizer was exceptional though. Beer steak Mac & Cheese, ho hum. My husband had the Beer steakhouse burger. He seem to like it. read more

Recently ate at Fox River Brewing Co while in Oshkosh. At first all was well, but the food was only mediocre. (I had a very oily chicken and my friend an over-sauced pizza). But after placing our order the service became comedically slow. Excuses were given (training a new server, getting "busy" - it was 5pm and about 25% full) but the service remained painful. Then a pen exploded on my friend's hands. Not the restaurant's fault but also a crappy ending to a not so pleasant meal. read more

This place needs a face lift, been around a while and it shows. My wife and I stopped in last night for a beer and an appetizer. The beers were good and we ordered the chicken nachos. Really, you served me nachos with canned cheese sauce which was cold and so was the chicken. The Nachos were definitely a fail. Our server was very nice even though she was away from the tap room and it took quite a while to get our bill. Being a chef myself I look at all the great you beers Fox River brews and you can't make a really good queso sauce with one of your great beers. Your kitchen is taking the easy way out. A big plus was the free popcorn in the taproom.....we enjoyed it. read more

Overall, this seems like a poorly-managed establishment with lackluster food and okay beer. People highlight the beer here a lot. I'm inclined to disagree: the beer anywhere in the Fox Valley is fantastic; this place is nothing special. I've been here twice. Both times I was disappointed with the service, the food, and the prices. The most recent time I visited, the server came over once to bring us menus, disappeared for about half an hour, and didn't come back to take our order until I went to the bar to request a server. If I have to get up, wait in line, and ask for a server to take my order -- well, that's just unacceptable. But at this place, it seems the norm; I could hear several of the wait staff openly mocking our server for not being around, and none of them even bothered to check in on us. "Where is (server)?" one of them said to another "Why is he never here?" Avoid this place. There are plenty of other great restaurants and bars in the Fox Valley that aren't coasting on reputation and a nice boat dock. Just because this one has a dock doesn't mean it's worth wasting your time or money at. Stay on your boat and watch the poor bougie losers who choose to waste their time and money at this establishment. read more

Excellent Valentine's dinner. Everything from the greeting to the "goodbye" was great. The food was incredible. Most importantly, the service was tremendous! Our waiter Max was the best. We just got back from vacation at a tourist destination and Max gave us a level of service on par with the best restaurants in the state. Highly recommended! read more

Went to the Mother's Day Buffet, waste of money. $24.99 per person for cold food, dry "prime rib" , limited selection, hard waffles and a few desserts. Plus the staff serve you and the line backs up. read more

Best service I've had in quite a while and the prices were incredibly reasonable. I've recently been through a personal brewery tour (17 breweries in 6 days). Fox River has the best blueberry ale (blu bobber) of any I have had. Their Hefeweizen was even better than that at the Keewenaw Brewing Company. And their Scottish was also delightful. The bartender was amazing, I also tried their bloody mary and it was AMAZING with pepper stick, pickle, celery, olive and a lemon slice for garnish. The bartender also hooked us up with a 20oz Fox River mug to take home. Couldn't have been taken care of better! read more

The service is fantastic. Don't be turned away by large crowds from the EAA, they can handle it. Good food, good drinks, great view, bags and life size Jenga. Family and dog friendly. read more

The shrimp tacos are really tasty. The view is great. The outdoor seating is nice, and the inside has a unique arrangement. The microbrews are decent, some better than others, but that depends on individual taste. I tend to find redeeming qualities in almost any beer. It's a beer, don't over think it. I enjoy a lighter beer on a hot day. Cooler days bring darker beers. We stop here about once a month for lunch as a group from work. The menu has something for everyone. read more

We had Crab cake appetizer which wad delicious. We specially liked the dill quinoa with it. The Pesto chicken pizza was fantastic as was the Thai chicken pizza on gluten free crust. Our server Gary did a great job as well. read more

If I could give a review for just the place and the setup it'd be 5 stars all the way! The beer was pretty good and the menu looked very promising but everything everyone ordered was under whelming and just ok. I ordered the jalapeño margarita and it was just a regular old margarita with cheap mix and no spice to it at all. I'd go back just for the atmosphere and outdoor seating. read more

The food is ok but pricy for the area.the docks are a good place to park and drink in good weather defamatory this places best feature.

I have been here a handful of times and the service has always been pretty terrible outside. Today I got there roughly 5 minutes after the rest of my group. They had ordered their drinks already. Roughly 20 minutes later the server brought their drinks and took my drink order. Because the group had waited so long we started a stop watch on my drink. After 35 minutes on the watch, one of the group went to find the server and ask about my drink. The server barely acknowledged her and responded "I'll check on that". The server goes to a few tables then comes to tell me she is going to check on my drink. At this point I've been there for almost an hour. We cancelled the drink, paid, and left. Not waiting around to see how long food would take. read more

My son , his girlfriend and I stopped in this evening . Love this place. Perfect for either a full dinner, or stopping for a drink at the bar. Their own Blue Bobber is my favorite and go to beer. The prices are great and I feel well worth the amount of food you get. read more

The husband and I judged moved to Oshkosh. We were craving a beer and fish fry night. We live pretty close to here and decided to check it out. Even though it is April and the weather is crappy the views are beautiful. I can't wait to come back when it is warm and enjoy the patio. Our server was Em. She is super sweet! Our drinks and apps came out fast. She was always around if we needed anything. We prefer cod to perch and asked her opinion. We both decided on the Fish and Chips. The batter is light and Crispy. The fries were great. The food came out fast. Which was good because we were both hungry. My husband enjoyed the beer. He had the Scottish ale. I had two brandy old fashions. They were delicious. Overall this place is great for our first time there. Em was attentive and quick. You can tell she has been doing this for awhile. She's fantastic. The food was hot and good. The fish was flaky and the fries were great too. We are for sure coming back and bringing friends too! read more

EXCELLENT restaurant and on-site brewery! The pork medallions and Thai peanut pizza are extraordinary. Cupcake dessert is above average but not earth shattering. "Winnebago Wheat" beer goes down like silk with just a touch of citrus. Dangerously delicious and easy to drink! Sit outside next to the water and watch the airplanes fly over. read more

Right on the lake with a great selection of beers available. Happy hour is the best time to come (weekdays 3-6) because alcohol is half priced. The food is good too. Staff is willing to talk to you about anything and are a lot of fun. This is worth being a regular at. read more

We were visiting from California with our two dogs. They have a dog-friendly patio and brought the dogs water. It's a lovely setting right on the river, with a large grassy lawn, the view of boats and dock. The food and beer were uniformly good (according to all in our party of 6) as was the service. I highly recommend this Oshkosh establishment! read more

Best outdoor restaurant available in the Winnebago area! I always receive clean, friendly and prompt service. I feel like I've been transported to an outdoor resort on the patio, the tiki bar really ties it all together. Couldn't recommend this place more. Wish I could give six stars!! read more

We were visiting my daughter at UWO and found this place and was very glad we did. There is fine dining and a sports bar. I won and we ended up at the Sports bar but they gave my girls menu's from the Italian Restaurant so they were happy. Beer was excellent, my burger was out of this world, and the girls liked their pasta. Can't wait to visit in warmer months! read more

Tried their signature Wisconsin Beer Cheese Burger and the com screwed it up 2 times in a row! The server and manager were embarrassed and comped the cheese curds appetizer. Ended up having a disappointing flatbread pizza at hotel that evening. read more

Waitress was not friendly at all. Had to ask several times for sweetener for our tea. No ice in any of our drinks while sitting outside in the sun. We ordered 3 steak salads and 3 Santa Fe salads. The order was said to her exactly like that. She missed one of the Santa Fe salads. We were never checked on after everyone received their meal. Took a while to get our check. Don't think we will return. read more

Came to fox river brewing company Friday night with a group of around 6. Outside patio was still open and the bartender was great! We got our drinks fast and being by the water was very relaxing. They also have an outside fire pit for when it got a little more chilly. Our group loved the location, drinks, and service so much we decided to come back the next day again. This time we had a larger group of 15, called two hours ahead and they accommodated us, no problem! This time we had food and drinks and everyone was pleased. Server was great and split all the checks no problem. Also the beer selection is great here. Will definitely come back the next time I'm in Oshkosh. read more

I, my mom, my boyfriend and his parents come here for lunch today. Good drinks raspberry ice tea was good and there Pepsi was good and good food. They were friendly and helpful.!! They have some excellent gluten-free pizzas, especially the chicken pesto. The only bad thing I've had here was their Bloody Mary; it tasted watered down and had a funky tangy taste. Definitely the worst Bloody Mary I've ever had. read more

We have been mug club members for years and years. Our kids grew up eating the captain "crunch" chicken. Restaurants change, bottom lines change but after today I don't think I'll ever go back again. The restaurant has been slowly declining. Part of it may be because of Covid and part of it may be because of staffing, however the food should not change unless the menu changes. The signature crunch chicken which is their signature dish now is two tenders versus four versus two breasts which has been their many changes in the last two years. The cheese curd portions are small and so are the french fries compared to the many years that we've been going there. The crunch chicken though was not breaded well and again the portions were super small this time and the signature honey mustard sauce tasted different and we had lots of cinnamon in it. We gather at fox river brewing for many special occasions and tonight we said we are done. The mug club use to give you a free beer a month and a free growler and a free pizza. It was an incredible deal. However you don't get a free beer each month you don't get a free pizza and you don't get a free growler. You get an extra 4 ounces. It's not worth it unless you go there many times a month. As I said earlier the food and portions have declined. And maybe we were there on an off night but the bar staff were sloppily dressed in T-shirts and shorts and sweatshirts. There are many ways to dress T-shirts and shorts and sweatshirts up but this was not even attempted. Again I'm not a critical person and I leave a 20% plus tip which I did tonight however this business has gone downhill in their food and their portions which has been what they're known for. We definitely will not be buying the mug club next year and it will take a lot for us to come back and try it out again. read more

Wow!!! I had the Blue Berry beer (forget the name) and it was phenom!!! Service (Kyle) was spectacular, and the food was really good. I was with a couple of locals and they swore by the Crunch Chicken (chicken battered in Captan Crunch) and wow was it good. A must have. read more

Waterfront and good beer. I had the street tacos and they were 10/10 definitely. But my highlight was Jill. She was our server and she definitely made my night. She was knowledgeable and super friendly and took it to a 10/10 experience for me. read more

Stopped for a drink on a Saturday afternoon. We sat out side because it was a beautiful day. The place was not busy at all. We left after half an hour because we had not been served at all. Ambiance is 5 star, service good, they were out of 2 of the 3 beers I wanted to try on the menu. Ordered a Marguritte pizza and although the pizza wasnt burned, the pizza oven floor had burned crumbs that decided to adhere to my pizza giving it a distinct carbon flavor... Not good... Notified the waitress and she said she would tell the kitchen. End of story, no apology, no offer to replace, no discount. Hope they learn to keep pizza oven clean, until then, dont choose pizza... The others in my party enjoyed their meals. Too bad they dont write reviews... read more

I visited this during the Oshkosh Airshow and during the Airshow they have a limited menu. My wife and I had the Salmon tacos (soft tortilla) which were excellent. The wait staff was friendly but inexperienced. Indoor or outdoor seating is available and is in a great location. They are a microbrewery and have great beers. I have gone to this restaurant over several years and the men's room plumbing needs some work. One toilet is always clogged. The limited menu during the Airshow and the facility issues are my main reason for only giving this 3 stars. read more

The food was overpriced for the quality. The fish fry was very greasy and had very little flavor. Our waitress "Allison" did not have answers to any of the questions we asked about the fish options because she never ate any of their fish. She also told us the wrong information for happy hour, and when we asked her about it her comment was "oh, I guess I misled you".. No offer to correct it or anything.. With that being said, we did talk to the manager and he offered to make it right. We appreciated it and didn't take him up on the offer because we had already paid. We suggested that his servers get more training so that they know what the nightly specials are, and what their food is like so that they can answer customer questions. read more

Came here for the second time in a week during EAA. First time, ordered bruschetta appetizer and it was great. Second time, ordered same appetizer and it was terrible....imagine using rye-krisp (for example) as the bread and experiencing everything breaking up before you get it to your mouth. How can the quality of their product vary so much....well, it's probably the qualifications of the kitchen staff I would think. Even tho our visit was during EAA, it was early in the dinner hour (i.e., 5PM) so there was no crowd in the dining area whatsoever, so don't blame this failure on the 'busy times' during EAA. Anyway, this one incident soured me on FRB, especially so since the server basically ignored my feedback would not do anything about it. One star only for these guys. read more
