Not sure if it was an off day or this place just schedules their poor employees horribly. We went slightly before and during the Packers vs Viking game and until halftime was nearly over only 3 women were working the whole floor. It was so packed in there that there was also people just standing in corners because there was no where left to sit and stand. One was running orders and checking on tables and the other two were taking care of the bar and customers coming up to the bar to be helped. They were absolutely Fantastic and doing everything they could and kept up friendly and efficient service.

The drinks are very reasonably priced even in not special times. They also have a full bar so you can get a beer or cocktail to quench your thirst. Food- Food gets an average of a B-. I got the fried calamari appetizer and it was absolutely terrible. I mean I know its not going to be a fresh dish of calamari and would have come from the freezer before being deep fried but I dont know if it was how it was deep fried or what but they were all soggy and tasteless even with the marinara sauce. That being said the BLT and fries were fantastic! It saved the meal and I definitely want to try other dishes here. Service- Service was outstanding. Even though it was busy, the food came out quickly and my drinks were never empty before being asked if I wanted another. If you want a fun place to go for a game or a fight give Legends a try. Its one of the better sports bars in the area.

The drinks I order here are strong and well-iced, just how I like it. There are two glaring failures with a plate of food at this place; They'll put a chocolate chip cookie right underneath a hot sandwich in a to-go box, and the homemade kettle-cooked chips are without a doubt cooked in dirty oil (Dark color, metallic/bitter flavor, greasy.) Their method for chips in this restaurant are unfortunately way off the mark. Dump that oil now and again, guys. I'm still marking this as a 4/5. Why would I do that when I've been displeased with 2/3rds of my plate on multiple occasions? That Philly is the best in Oshkosh and could bring a grown man to his knees. Get the fries as a side instead, and prepare to have your genitals explode from the sheer force of that meaty, cheesy goodness.

The food, however, very subpar. First was the Flat Iron Steak Sandwich. Basically, a French Dip. Looked promising but the steak was cut thick and very tough. Flavor was fine but chewy. Next was the Pig & Fig sandwich. Reports were good and positive. Last was the special "Fresh Lake Michigan Perch". This was not good. It was over cooked and tasted like it was fried in last week's oil. One bite was enough. Burnt taste and very dry. Our server was very apologetic, offered something else and took it off our bill. If you don't like standing shoulder to shoulder with strangers, they have stairs that lead to and upstairs area. It makes a cool view for watching the band as they do have a dedicated stage for bands that works nicely for a typical four piece band. The sound was decent too, which helped with the overall positive experience. My friend told me the bar is connected to the Varsity Club (owned by the same person) and that's a place to go for pool. Another get away space if you're feeling a little congested. A nice bar for downtown Oshkosh.

Frustrated by Lack of Notice on 21+ Policy…read more We drove down from Appleton to hear a friend perform with the Jazz Orgy and were excited for a night of live music. After paying for parking and walking in, we were told we had to leave because we're under 21. Legally, we've since learned that Wisconsin doesn't allow anyone under 21 in bars without a food license -- so the venue was within its rights. But there were no signs, no online notice, and no mention in the event info about this policy. We weren't there to drink -- just to enjoy the music and support a friend. I understand the legal restriction, but the lack of communication made the experience frustrating and disappointing. A simple heads-up on the website or social media would have gone a long way.
