Empty seats promoting sold out... charging 20 per ticket, yet performers couldn't handle some fellow comedian responses

One of the worst experiences ever, supposedly sold out....empty seats all around, sacaiah was the worst comedian couldn't handle light rebuttal so did his opening performers, ambiance was very lonely and sad empty seats ,yet they decided to kick me out, I'm a fellow comedian but they couldn't handle the friendly responses

We've been to almost all of them in SoCal being locals and we've agreed that this is the most disappointing location. CityWalk's Kitty Cafe's drinks are lazy, I'd say they're uninspired. I would only recommend the lemonade, as it was fresh and sweet. As for the other drinks, it was like adding shaved ice flavoring and dumping into it into a cup of ice water. Next, you sell it for a high price. The desserts are DRY! The only saving grace for the small cake we tried was the frosting. We disposed of the rest, such a shame! Our cashier was also quite confused and condescending. I did not like his vibe, it's not cute being a passive aggressive person. I seriously hope this location works out the kinks. I found the location had cute bistro tables, there's potential here. However, they need to fix their cafeteria-looking shopfront. Note: Character meet-n-greets are available on select days. Also, a Sanrio store can be found next door.

So whimsical I love it! The food itself was good surprisingly! We had the tomato soup in a cute mushroom bowl that we can keep! So cute.. the soup was a bit on the sour tomato side. I just ate it with the broccoli on the kids burger plate lol. My son had the toad's special chicken plate.. the chicken was a small thigh piece with some roasted potatoes with cheese and tomato slices cooked in a mushroom sauce of some sort. It was tasty! We also had the fettuccine plate which was not bad at all! We did order 1 dresser to try.. the bean pile cake .. that wasn't that good. I'll pass on that next time. Overall it was a cute experience and love that the cute mushroom bowl was a keepsake

Really disappointed with our experience at Toadstool Cafe in Nintendo World…read more We had an 8:15 PM reservation and were actually let in around 8, which was nice, but everything after that moved incredibly slowly. The restaurant was nowhere near full, yet the entire process of waiting in line to order, getting seated, and finally receiving our food took around an hour, if not longer. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo without chicken. The pasta was cooked pretty poorly--some noodles were overcooked while others were still chewy--and the dish arrived barely warm. My friend ordered the exact same thing, also without chicken, and his alfredo sauce was somehow watery and his pasta was overcooked. The biggest issue, though, was that both of our "no chicken" pastas had pieces of chicken in them. Thankfully, the manager did issue a refund, but it was still pretty upsetting, especially since dietary restrictions and food modifications should be taken seriously. Another person in our group ordered the pesto burger and found it pretty bland and forgettable. To top it all off, several menu items were already sold out by the time we ordered. Considering this restaurant has been open for over three years, it's surprising that they're still struggling to meet demand and manage inventory. The theming and atmosphere are adorable, but unfortunately the food quality, long wait times, and kitchen mistakes really overshadowed the experience.

I got the Chandler (which was like a caramel macchiato with hazelnut instead of vanilla) and it was so good. They have a nice variety of sandwiches and salads in the cold case as well as hot items you can buy as well (pizza and hot sandwiches) I got a turkey sandwich which was good and my son got the grilled chicken pesto which he really liked. The staff was great and we got our food and drinks really quickly. Loved that the seating and surrounding areas are just like being on the set of Friends. Plus they have a store with lots of fun souvenirs (mugs, shirts, and even frames based after the iconic framed dorr peep hole). You can only access if you take one of the Warner Bros tours. We had the deluxe tour which included lunch at Central Perk (which included any main in the menu, a side/including bakery item, and a drink/ any drink, any size). We felt it was a great deal and the food, drinks, and bakery items were all very tasty. Such a fun, different way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

It's definitely a tourist trap, but if you're a Friends fiend, this is the place for you. There's plenty of photo-ops - Joey and Chandler's apartment with the foosball table and BarcaLoungers, the Central Perk bar and couches, and Monica's kitchen. There's also a gift shop which had surprisingly reasonably priced items. The cafe itself has grab-and-go items as well as hot food items like pizza for sale. They have drinks named after the characters, but everything is pricey (tourist trap alert). I'm not a coffee drinker, but I had to partake in the "Central Perk" rite of passage, so I ordered the chocolate ice-blend drink (~$8 after tax), which is a pretty steep price for a drink that's essentially chocolate milk. For some reason, my order got lost in their system, so I was waiting and waiting for my name to be called. After approaching the counter and asking, they made it right away. They don't serve the drinks in the signature large coffee cups (but the cups are available at the gift shop), so I'd say you can skip the overpriced coffee and go straight for the photo ops (which are free/included in the price of admission).

From ordering to getting my drink took about 20 minutes, which wasn't too bad. I ordered a large Matcha Squared Latte with less sweetness and oat milk (extra charge). I noticed they still added a couple pumps of syrup, but overall the drink wasn't too sweet and had a nice creamy top. The matcha itself was decent, but not as smooth as some of the top tier spots. I'm guessing it's because they prep things ahead instead of whisking each drink fresh. Overall it was good, but I wouldn't wait more than 20 minutes for it. If anything, I'd just order online next time to skip the line.

I expected some wait time due to the long line and the number of people waiting for their orders, but I didn't anticipate waiting 50 minutes. This location at The Grove is pretty noisy, but that's to be expected given the busy setting. The staff seems intense, which I believe is due to being short-staffed. When placing my order, the area was quite dirty and disorganized. If you had a question, the staff would push you along and quickly shift their attention elsewhere instead of helping the customer. When picking up my order, it took even longer because the drink I was given was incorrect. It took at least 10 minutes to get someone's attention just to fix it. The workers avoid making eye contact--possibly because they don't want to be compelled to help and would rather someone else handle the issue.

Had a phenomenal experience visiting Sweet Lily Bakery! Don't be deceived by the name though, Sweet…read moreLily is so much more than a bakery. In addition to their expertly-crafted pastries, Sweet Lily offers a great variety of French dishes and packaged food items. My group ordered the Sugar Beignet, Raspberry Croissant, and Coffee Croissant - which were all wonderful. The Raspberry Croissant had a not-too-sour fresh jelly filling and was definitely the crowd favorite, but the thick, latte-flavored filling in the Coffee Croissant made it a close second place. The fresh-squeezed orange juice at $5 felt like an absolute bargain, and the Cappuccino was also well-executed. The real stars of the show were the entrees, though. Both the Avocado Toast plate and Croque Monsieur truly tasted like a trip to France. They were hearty and full of flavor, without feeling too heavy. The Sweet Lily twist on Avocado Toast includes melted mozzarella and slices grapes, which really elevated the dish! The potatoes and salads that came as complimentary sides were a welcome surprise, and just as craveable as the entrees themselves. I truly don't think there's a bad thing to order here, and I look forward to returning to this bright and welcoming spot to try more!

Been wanting to try this place for a while and my son said he did as well, so we made a lunch date…read moreout of it today. It's kind of off the beaten path, where Ventura becomes Cahuenga. Near Barham and on the way to Hollywood. They have a few metered parking spots out front, but I went in and asked if they had their own parking and Mehdi told me they had a couple of spots in the alley behind the building, so that's where we parked. It's a cute place, not too fancy. They refer to it as a Boutique Pastry Shop. There are some snacks/knick knacks available for purchase, along with a refrigerator of drinks towards the back. The left side of the space is the coffee bar and the right side has the pastry cases and food menus. This is where we placed our order with Mehdi, who was pleasant, nice and knowledgeable about the menu and all the pastry items. I was talking to another employee, Gabriel, and asking him questions about the omelettes. He talked me through a few different options and he was also pleasant and kind. I decided on the Veggie Omelette (add mozzarella +$2, and side baguette +$1) with a Decaf Latte (+$0.75 for Oat Milk). My son ordered the Chicken Caprese Panini, which came with Pesto and Mozzarella Cheese. ($17). We also wanted to sample some pastries and we got 1 Nutella Beignet ($5.50), 1 Caribbean & 1 Red Carpet ($8 each), 1 Pear/Almond Tart and 1 Raspberry Tart ($6.50 each). Our total for everything including tip was $91.59, and I'm still kind of in shock over it! This place was SO EXPENSIVE!! Mehdi plated our pastries for us and Gabriel immediately got to work on the omelette and panini. We sat down at one of their many tables and got situated while we waited for the food. It was pretty empty as we were there around 3pm, an hour before they closed. There were two other tables being occupied while we were there. They had nice pop music playing, ranging from 90s-00s songs and artists. There were some nice twinkly lights above us along with the regular lighting of the restaurant. The space was also very clean, but I noticed some wear and tear on the tables/chairs. Once Mehdi brought our food out, we got to eating. My omelette also came with a small side salad with balsamic vinaigrette and some potatoes. I think everything tasted good, especially the omelette, but the potatoes were a bit too greasy for my taste. I also think the portion size was too small for the price. This statement goes for everything we ordered. It was all extremely overpriced for the portions they're offering. My son said his panini was just mediocre and bland. He opened it and added a bunch of salt to it. It was also very skimpy on the chicken, about 4-5 tiny slices inside. Moving onto the pastries, the Pear/Almond was my favorite. It wasn't overly sweet (actually, none of the pastries were), which is what I prefer. It was very delicate and tasty. I also had a bite of the Caribbean which was delicious. They went well with my latte, which tasted very good. I will be trying the rest later. My son had a bite of everything and liked the Caribbean and the Nutella Beignet, saying the rest were just average. I didn't use the restroom but my son did and said it was spotless clean, stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and room spray. The trash was empty, floors and counters were clean. They have one men's and one women's restroom and it's spacious. They began closing down the place about 5 minutes after we finished our bites and nibbling. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience by any means, but I don't think I'll be rushing here anytime soon to try it again. It was just outrageously expensive for what it was. I understand the cost of ingredients, labor, etc it takes to produce pastries and viennoiserie, but I just don't think the quality matched the prices. Just my opinion. I would say the service was great, both Gabriel and Mehdi are great employees! I may or may not come back. We'll see.
