Hmmm. Where do I start? Most of the comedians were pretty funny. Was confused when the tix say 730 but the show didn't start until about 820. That being said, don't be in a hurry to get here. We left early as the show was still going at 10p. So I guess you get your monies worth. There's a 2 drink min. Pretty standard for comedy clubs, but our server made it weird, didn't listen and was just bad all around. I hope she's is a better comedian than she is a server. That was a huge turn off for the night. We had free tix from a neighbor so I'm not sure what the tix cost. Drinks and food were reasonably priced. Our cousins had free tickets so we came here spontaneously on a Friday night. We had great seats, on the aisle but several rows back. The front row is always intimidating at a comedy show unless you love to interact with the comedians and/or get picked on. So middle or back is terrific. We ordered our first round of drinks and our food. Food came out pretty quickly but we didn't get drinks until much, much later. Apparently the bartender was having a meltdown, literally - it was super hot that night and they were short staffed. I lucked out with the best dinner choice - Shortrib Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Wow, it was so decadent and delicious! And huge! I could have easily split it with someone but I'm a pig so I ate it all. My husband and cousins got Buffalo Wings ($16), Short Rib Tacos ($16), Rib Eye Steak Bites ($18) and Shrooms Pizza ($20). FYI the mushroom pizza had truffle oil on it, which is not mentioned on the menu. Now - the comedians - there were about 12 of them. It was kind of like an open mic night. Each one has a short set which was good and bad. If they weren't that funny, it was good. We stayed until the end and it was pretty late, the chairs started to feel super hard after a few hours. There were two comedians that were "laugh out loud" funny and they were both over 70 years old. The rest were a chuckle here and there. First time at this venue. Definitely has the retro look and reminds me of the spots in the Valley of the 80's. Arrived early to eat before the 7:30 show. We had reservations and used a code online to get free tickets. There is a two drink minimum. The hostess Alona was very nice at the front door. We showed our QR codes from our smart phones and she seated us right away. You know I always have a unique perspective being plus size and tonight was no different. The seats were very tight. We were a party of 4 and I sat with my friend at a tiny round bistro table on old school banquet style chairs. It was REALLY tight seating like Coach seats on an airplane. We arrived at approximately 6:50 for the 7:30 show and we ordered our food. They had a QR code sticker in the table which is pretty standard these days but not great if you have no reception. I did like the little tea light that we were supposed to use to let the wait staff that we needed attention vs. waiving or yelling during the show. Our servers was Becky and Emily was shadowing here. They were both very nice and accommodating . I ordered two Ginger-ale's with no ice, and order of sweet potato fries and a margarita pizza to share. I figured those were safe and relatively easy to eat since I could hardly move. My fries came out first and they were good. It was another 15 min before my pizza came out and the entire bottom was burnt. I sent it back and the replacement pizza was better but still charred. I only had half of one slice. I ate all my fries. There were other items on the menu but again difficult to eat the way I was sitting. I was hungry and should have ate before I left. The show started an hour late around 8:30pm but I tried not to get annoyed and I ended up really enjoying the show. The comics were all really, really amazing. The MC Tara O'Brien was great too. Some comics looked very familiar from TV and movies. We must have seen 15 comics. It was non-stop laughs. My face hurt from laughing so much. The show ended at around 10:45pm Located on main street. Plenty of free parking next door. All Staff was very nice and accommodating. Themed decor and fun atmosphere. Would recommend as a great spot for date nights, birthdays, small groups, would not bring kids/teens. (Even though there is no age limit) Not all the comics are clean but there were about 6 or so that didn't use profanity. I look forward to going back I just may eat before I go to a show. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the lineup is always strong. Every time I've been here, I've laughed nonstop the comics bring great energy, and the crowd is always engaged. The food was great too surprisingly good for a comedy club! False Advertising, Awkward Cover-Ups, and Zero Accountability We went to this stand-up comedy show specifically because it was advertised to feature Sarper from the 90 day fiancé reality TV show, along with Lisa and her "killer funny women." Well--Sarper never showed up. And not once during the show did anyone have the integrity to let the audience know. We waited through the entire lineup expecting him to come out, only to find out after the show--when I personally asked Lisa, she said that he had canceled and "That's reality TV, this is real life." No announcement, no apology, nothing. Just low-key deceitful. The show itself was uneven. Out of four women, the first comedian was genuinely funny, and the second--an entertaining Russian girl with great stage presence and a surprising rap talent--kept the momentum going. But after that, things nosedived. The last two acts were honestly hard to sit through. Lisa herself got on stage, tried to do a set that wasn't funny, and then broke down crying. If we had been told up front that Sarper wasn't coming, we would've left after the second act. But instead, we waited, held out hope, and ended up feeling duped. Bottom line: Lisa might be a decent storyteller, but this was billed as comedy--not therapy. And the lack of transparency was unacceptable. I would not return, and I don't recommend this show to anyone expecting honesty or real laughs. 1 star because the food was okay. read more

Amid the big strike (SAG + writers!) we came to this comedy club for the first time. Seemed like half of the people in the audience were actors! But we were just glad that the show could go on and that we could be here to SUPPORT the performers!! Small venue - all seats are close to the stage so you get to experience the comedian's' performance closeup! Two drinks minimum and their drinks were reasonably priced. Full menu restaurant here but we didn't know so did not try their food. Food orders do not count towards the drink minimum. We came to see the very talented Peter Chew, whose political satires were poignant and hilarious! He is also a great cartoonist whose style is reminiscent of the good old New Yorker cartoons. But all the comedians were talented in their own ways! So so glad to see many women and POC performers here. All of them engaging and great acts! Overall a great way to spend a fun evening. I went for the comedy show. It was great. I gave them 3 stars because of something I ordered. I ain't no cheap person when it comes to going out, but this made me say,WTF. I ordered some coconut shrimp. Yall, why the hell they bring me 4 shrimp for $15. Not no jumbo shrimp, 4 small basic ass shrimp split in half. Then they tried to place it on some funky lettuce/greens with some nasty sauce. Go look at the picture posted. I can't. I will return for the comedy, but I definitely won't be buying that again. Our first time visiting this gem of a comedy club. Great line up of comedians. The food was absolutely fabulous! The sliders were the best we've ever had and the edamame were perfect. The drink pours were on point and we had the most attentive waitress. Please add chocolate chip cookies to the menu and that would have been the cherrie to our fantastic evening out. I had such a great experience I have to tell everyone! To begin with there's free parking! This is a rarity in LA. The night I went , it was free to get in with a 2 drink minimum. The staff were so welcoming. I'm vegan and was a little concerned I'd be able to eat. No problem there. They had a few options in the menu. I ordered the cauliflower tacos and wow!!! You may come for the entertainment but the food is just as good. Beer, food then the comics came on. There were about 9-10 the night I went. I specifically went to see Patricia Resnick and she was on point! Thoroughly enjoyed her set . There were a couple other stand outs but all of them were clever and gave me laughs. The Comedy Chateau is a joke within the LA comedy community with a terrible reputation, and for good reason. Dude this place is awesome. I was across the street looking for a truck and I saw a line outside. I guess the show just ended and people were waiting to take pictures with the comedians. I spoke with Keenan Kissinger. This guy reminded me of an old school milk man, then he made a joke about it. The ambiance outside was crazy. I am definitely coming back to check out a show. We stopped by this comedy spot on a whim. The lovely hostess at the door and server Rose during the show were very kind & attentive. The Bartender in the lounge could care less. It would have been nice if he asked what type of vodka I preferred instead of making a weak/terrible drink. He left & never bothered to wait on us again. As for the small room--it had chairs placed literally touching each other. Making it difficult to walk through to use the restroom. Thankfully the front row wasn't occupied. It being Covid times the seating should not be set up like that. Can you imagine an emergency?!! Scary! The comedians were not that great sadly. The older gentleman who wrote for the Tonight Show was funny and he knew how to work the room. Also the cute young lady towards the end who talked about the "guitar" woke up the room, so thank you! I've been going to LA comedy clubs since the 80's and just went to The Comedy Chateau for the first time Friday and was surprised by how good the food and bar was. First time I've had really good food and a real martini in a comedy club! It is located in the former Le Petite Chateau restaurant that used to be a major stop for the actors and executives at Universal Studios so they have the advantage of a full kitchen and bar. Ticket prices are also lower than Laugh Factory, Comedy Store and Flappers. Came here last weekend for a comedy special with hubby and some friends, we had a great time! All of the staff were friendly and our food and drinks came out quickly. The food was excellent, better than most restaurants. We ordered the sweet potato fries which were fat and flavorful and the gourmet style grilled cheese sandwich with white and yellow cheese was grilled to perfection and the bread was top quality. The rib eye steak bites with jalapeño sauce was out of this world delicious. We have to put in a 2nd order it was so good. The cocktails were tasty too. Most of the comedians were really funny. The waitress was very nice but as the show progressed it took her quite a while to come back to us, it may have just been her working the whole room. Packed house. However, we will never be back. At least not in the summer. It was so hot inside. We asked them to turn the AC up and they said it was on full blast. For 3 hours we marinated in our own sweat, uncomfortably. I live close by and had been meaning to check this place out but never made the time. Then a friend of mine announced she was doing stand up here so I finally made it in. So glad I did. There is free parking in the bank lot next door which made parking simple as can be. When we walked in the club - the vibes were good from the get go! They checked our tickets and had us seated right away. The hostess was an absolute doll. Super sweet yet professional. Our waiter was top notch! He was busy with many tables but took our order fast and our food arrived in a timely manner. He was really mindful to never block our view which I thought was really thoughtful. I got the burger and it was so delicious. Toppings were flavorful and fresh and it was cooked as I ordered it (well done). Their burger was better than many burger places in LA in my opinion. Compliments to the chef!! My boyfriend got the short rib tacos and he enjoyed them as well. The MC was incredibly poised and perfect for the job and they must have had almost 20 comedians on a Sunday night!! I was impressed with the diversity of the comedians and how much entertainment we got for what we paid. They also have electric tea light candles that you can switch on when you want your waiter to come around. I have never seen this before and thought it was absolutely brilliant!! And honestly I can't even be surprised, it's a super tight space, like you're literally sitting shoulder to shoulder. And it looks outdated. The service is cool though. Like the wait staff was very friendly and inviting. However, if you choose to come here KEEP ALL YOUR BELONGINGS CLOSED and wear closed toed shoes. We went to see the legendary Jimmy Brogan at the Comedy Chateau. He is always so funny, like a masterclass in comedy. We will go see him anywhere. That said, this was our first time at the chateau and we had a fantastic time. The MC, Joe Dalo was great and kept the show moving. The lineup was a combo of newer comedians and pros. Even the drop ins were great. We didn't have any food but it looked really good going by so we will definitely try it next time and report back. We paid almost $40 for two beers and two waters but happy to pay it for a great show. Two minor notes: we were sat shoulder to shoulder with the table next to us on either side. I would've appreciated a bit more space between the tables. Also, the acoustics are not fantastic in there. We could hear the orders being taken and even the comedians made a point to ask people to be quieter. The speakers were pointed straight out and it got way too loud at some points. I think they may benefit from some sound baffling. I recommend if you have ear problems, bring concert earplugs. Overall, we had a great time and will be back for sure. read more

I would NEVER suggest anyone performing here or giving their money. The owner is rude and dishonest. Because he didn't like that a DJ left a bad review, he withheld the money the COMEDIAN earned. WHO DOES THAT?!?! That is dishonest and.....I'm pretty sure ILLEGAL because a contract was involved. The ambiance is terrible....when he is annoyed with an act, he will stoop so low as to cut the lights on during the middle of a set and ask if the set is done. WHAT???? It's 2024. We are holding people accountable. Someone like this should not be able to make money in THIS way. How dare you create contracts with people, lure talent in, and then NOT give them money. Typically a good time here watching comics and eating/drinking. The menu is decent and the service is prompt. The cocktails are a bit overpriced, IMO, but they have a nice selection of booze. Sometimes it can get really cramped in front of the stage, so maybe show up a little closer to the show time to avoid getting squished in. Two drink minimum. This has to be the most fun and well curated comedy club I have been to recently in LA. I went to the New Faces Night where I had heard Alex Ray, the ukulele playing comic who does "The Pizza Song," would be doing live comedy. All of the comedians who did sets were hilarious, many with unexpected and refreshing perspectives. The host Felix is engaging, hilarious and does a wonderful job of introducing the comedians. The food looked awesome and included hot wings, two kinds of fries and there were also many delicious looking cocktails. I stayed for the entire show and at the end they had a giveaway raffle with one of their new t-shirts and other prizes for those still in the audience. This is definitely an up and coming venue for local and nationally touring comics and one I will be returning to soon with friends. read more

But the comedy chateau is charming and did I mention the convenient parking?! I did not like that the show was more than 30mins late to start. I came for the Friday night show which was packed so you would think things would be timely. But once everything got rolling the comics were a lot of fun, some way more experienced than others. But they all have to start somewhere right? Each performer got 5mins but the show was way too long, the last comic was coming up around 12:30 and less than 10 audience members were remaining. They should try starting the show on time with a few less comics. I didn't order food but it looked great, the drinks were yummy. It took over 20mins for just my drinks, hence the reason I opted not to order food. I didn't like that I had to get my 2 drinks at the same time. Came here to see a free showcase of first time comedians. Not gonna comment on the performers because they're all just students, this is a review of the food / drink. Look it's a comedy club, so my expectations were LOW. That said, I was shocked at how great the food and drink was. Shared the fish/chips and chicken caesar, and had the heckler cocktail. Everything was GREAT! Both the cocktail and the chicken on the salad had a great spice to them. My other friends had the steak bites and calamari, and raved! What a pleasant surprise! One note, a lot of comedy places that serve food/drink have a 2 *item* minimum. CC has a 2 *drink* minimum. So even if you order 10 pizzas for just yourself, you still have to at least get a couple bottles of water to go with them. read more

I went for newbie night. I had a great time. The host was great. I love the seat up here. I have been to many comedy clubs and you can't seat comfortably. I also love the idea of the candle light so if I needed my waitress/waiter I don't have to flag them down. I just turn on the light and they come to you. I ordered fries, tenders, chicken wings. The chicken wings was good and the ranch was good. The chicken tender were different. They were VERY thin and really didn't taste like chicken could've been fish.
