Came here for some evening cappuccinos and crepes. Was not disappointed. The waitress we had checked on us a good amount of times despite have an entire traffic island of guests. The crepes tasted homemade m, warm, and delicious. The cappuccinos were some of the best we've had in Europe! Passable food and very friendly service, but the pasta with three cheese was heavy and lacking flavor given the cheeses that was supposed to be in it. The pasta with two types of salmon was tasty, but I wouldn't necessarily return there. Perhaps for some other dish it would be better. read more

So we tried to go to two other restaurants after spending in the morning in the Louvre but they were both closed. Since we had trekked over 2 miles trying to find a place and we were starving we decided to try this place. Huge mistake. First of, the server was very rude. I tried to ask questions about what I could on the menu and he could. It have been more helpful. I ended up ordering something off the solecisms menu, which was listed as a salad of tomatoes, basil and mozzarella with balsamic. Ok sounds great, except that when they brought it out it was covered in mayonnaise, which I hate and was also not listed as one of the ingredients. I was able to pick out a few tomatoes but I left feeling completely hungry. My husband said his sandwich meat was over cooked and the fries were just average. The waiter never came out to check on us and my husband had to go inside to tell him we wanted the bill. Come here if you want poor service and lackluster food, but if you are a normal person please find another place to dine. read more

After exiting the Catacombs we were a bit hungry and were looking to hang out for a bit. We stumbled upon Fourteen Cafe. I ordered wine and the onion soup. The wine was pretty good and it was not expensive. The onion soup, on the other hand, left much to be desired. It smelled almost like an Indian curry, which I love, but not when I'm expecting an onion soup. I was hoping for a rich onion flavoring but instead was served a soup that was rather bland and thin. It was strange that It could smell so strong and yet it had little to no taste. Another disappointment was the topping. Usually, the top is covered with toasted bread and baked cheese. For this soup, it was just two small pieces of bread on top with cheese that was barley melted. This also lacked any real good flavor. So came here after the catacombs we walked here and were starving after doing all that walking. Cute on the corner of the street and nice old French decor. We were able to seat ourselves and were promptly greeted by our server. She was nice and attentive. We started with some drinks and honestly can't remember which I ordered but it in a mason jar sweet fruity and strong lol enough said. I started with the French onion soup which was amazing!!! Omg. It was flavorful and a little oily but man amazing with large pieces of bread or croutons in it. For entree I ordered the Bolognese pizza which was huge , and he got an omelette and fries. I had so much left over I ate it later. He ate all of his. He also ordered an expresso. I'm not a coffee drinker but he said it was good. Came with a cookie thing. Now dessert we ordered creme brûlée honestly not the best I've had maybe because it wasn't very sweet but the textures was spot on and the brûlée top was perfect. We stayed almost 3 hours just talking and people watching outside. The bathroom was downstairs and very clean. Nice meal and nice atmosphere a must after the catacombs read more

Absolutely loved this little cafe in Paris. After a morning at the Catacombs, a pleasant French meal was welcomed. We had the margarita pizza, so tasty and served with olive oil that was a little spicy that added a nice touch to the pizza. The cheese board, Brie, Roquefort, Swiss, Chèvre and a banquette. So delicious with some walnuts, tomatoes and lettuce. Yum yum yum. Ham and cheese croquet served with French fries. We now know why they're called French fries, probably the best we've eaten! We got out of The Catacombs with some friends and were looking for a place to eat and drink. I got the vegetarian pizza and it was delish! It was like €10-11 and very filling. We also arrived at happy hour and got a good deal in drinks. The staff is friendly and the ambient is great! I'd highly recommend! read more

Intentionally rude service. When our family group entered the restaurant (after being recruited from the street with the promise of air conditioning) we ended up wishing we had taken a hard pass on this place. The owners (we assume) became aggressively angry after we ordered cocktails and some light snacks. He huffily grabbed the cutlery and napkins from the table and disappeared for a lengthy interlude. Eventually, our cocktails arrived. Followed by limpid fries sitting in a puddle of oil and water. See photo. They were so greasy that not even sauce would adhere to the surface. We decided to cut our losses, pay the bill, and head out in search of a restaurant that would be more pleased to serve dinner to six. But the parting shot was when the owner slammed down two glasses of water from an earlier request. Given the current heat wave (42 degrees Celsius) and the Parisian public service announcements to "keep drinking water to stay hydrated" - perhaps six glasses would have been a nice gesture. Ultimately, $70 Canadian dollars for the worst food we've eaten in Paris and the rudest service perhaps EVER..... I'd say skip this joint. Unless of course you want the stereotypical rude French waiter experience which created a nasty reputation for French restaurants in the 1970s. read more

We stumbled across this place after visiting the Catacombs. We were greeted and seated immediately. Once seated it took a long time before our drink and food order was taken. It was the middle of the day and they were not busy. The waitress (owner?) was nice enough. Since there was a language barrier, I won't rate her personally. We ordered tomato & mozzarella which is an easy plate so it was good. I ordered the avocado and shrimp which she repeated as I pointed directly at the menu. She brought back something completely different. It was toast with melted cheese and honey. It was so yummy. Not what we ordered but glad we ended up with it. The place itself wasn't polished but it was clean. Overall an okay experience. read more
