They cleaned out my crawl space, removed all mold, and installed a 20mm vapor barrier with a 20-year warranty. They worked efficiently and made sure everything was done right. I went into the crawl space with them multiple times, and they clearly explained what they had done at each stage. They also gave me great advice on preventative maintenance I can do myself to keep things in top shape. Yes, it was an investment--but 100% worth it. The quality of their work has increased the equity in my home and will save me money in the future. I've gone with cheap contractors before and ended up paying more in the long run due to poor work. This was the opposite experience. Huge shoutout to Ben, RJ, and Jon--if I need more work done on my home, I'll be asking for them by name. Highly recommend The Drying Company!

Either these guys are the laziest Structural Engineers on the planet or they just have no clue…read more I used them for an assessment for a home I was purchasing after the inspector flagged a few concerns and recommended I bring in a Structural Engineer. Long story short, here is the last paragragh from the email I received regarding the assessment of the property. "Bottom line, the foundation concerns flagged in the home inspection report can be addressed with targeted, reasonable repairs. This property does not present the kind of foundational risk that should threaten a transaction." Well, like a dummie, I believed in their word and went through with the purchase. Needless to say, a month later as I am trying to get an addition added to the home I find that the foundation they deemed was 'no risk' is actually going to run me about $160k to fix. They actually did more than they originally thought they needed to at no extra charge. John was on time for our first appointment and and every appointment after. His son L and his other employee W ( I'm terrible with names) are both professional and efficient. My floors were uneven, my crawl space was a mess it was damp, the insulation was falling and my HVAC ducts kept coming loose and I wanted to encapsulate it. John came and assessed the inside of the house and the crawl space and the good news was it wasn't as bad as I thought and the better news was he could fix what needed done and do the encapsulation I wanted and the duct work and was very affordable! The pictures tell the story...... John Thank You so much for rehabilitating my crawl space and lifting my house! You're the BEST!

If you need crawlspace work.co.pleted, call them! I have 5 estimates and PBS was 1/5th the price of their competitors si.ply because they have zero hidden costs. Our materials were given to us at their discounted cost and only labor was added. You will not find another company that goes out of their way to support their community and is as humble as they are. Most importantly, when calling them, you will not be pressured into anything. They WANT you to get other quotes because we were able to see the facts in black and white. And BTW, there was no comparison because everything from the quality of work, their communication, their prices and their warranties go far beyond what we found with other companies. While under our home, they even took the time to fix a detached duct from our air conditioner, and moved out a trailer load of old blocking that was left by previous owners.

Zion Insulators was the most thorough in their estimate, as well as most competitively priced. I wish all our estimates for home improvements had this same combination of quality and affordability. Felix and Jose replaced the fallen baffles, air sealed everything, created a dam for the attic hatch to maximize the insulation around the hatch, brought our blow-in insulation up to R-49, and took pictures of their finished work. The degree difference is now just 3 degrees, and much more comfortable. To top it off, Felix gave me a ring about a month later to see how the insulation was performing, and will stop by to make some very minor improvements around the attic hatch that I would not have demanded or expected. So I give them all the credit for being amazing professionals who go above and beyond. I'd say I did plenty of research, and can recommend Zion Insulators without hesitation. Thanks again!

TLDR: Gave us run around for months, never got a permit to do the work, lied to us repeatedly…read more AVOID if you care about permits, inspections, or honesty We started the process in Sept 2025 of trying to get our crawlspace encapsulated. We were between Vance and Kefficient. Our sales rep, Evan M. promised to do a great job and offered us a great price, a few thousand dollars cheaper than the competitor. Wonderful. They offered to do the work without a permit, but we wanted a permit. On 10/2 Evan said he talked to head inspector of our county and then on 10/9 said the permit was submitted and waiting for approval. We were told it could take a few weeks. Ok. My husband checked in occasionally. From Oct 20-Nov 24, 2025 we got NO RESPONSE. I had him finally call the office and they said "oh! We just submitted your permit paperwork." What? They had Evan call us back. Evan blamed the county for "changing the rules" and said they had been taking a long time and made Vance re-submit the permit. I was waiting for Evan to apologize for not responding to my husband for a month, but he did not until I asked him about it. He said his phone wasn't working. We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt even though I didn't really believe him. With the holidays and everything we figured things would slow down. But by January 2026 we were getting really frustrated. On 1/16/26 we called Evan and he said he'd been "calling and calling the county" and they didn't have any updates on the permit. We tried to look up the permit request ourselves on the county website, and couldn't find anything. So we called. The county said they had nothing for our address. Absolutely no requests. I asked if there was some mistake, if there's anyone else they could have submitted a permit with, and the lady on the phone told me point-blank this company was BSing us. I didn't know if this was an Evan problem or a Vance Insulation problem, so I called the office and they had me talk to the owner, Rob Vance. Without asking my name, he said "oh yes, I just talked to Evan yesterday and there was some mistake where your permit didn't get submitted, but we just submitted it!" I said, "weird, because I just talked to Evan and he said he's been calling and calling the county and getting no updates, he didn't mention that. Also, I just got off the phone with the county and they said they have zero record of a permit request anywhere." Rob apologized and said he'd definitely talk to Evan and PERSONALLY get to the bottom of this. He said he'd have Evan email us that night or in the morning and CC him and provide written proof that everything was submitted. Rob said he'd call us back also. Well, we never got that email and Rob never called us back. Evan called us a couple times but we were absolutely done talking to him. We have not heard from anyone since. We actually found that our county website has a public record of every single permit request submitted and Vance Insulation hadn't submitted a single permit request in our county for ANYTHING in the last 3.5 months (as of 1/16/26) Since Rob Vance did not actually follow up or contact us again, I'm assuming this is a company-wide issue. So we had to start the process all over again. We contacted the companies that we could see from the county website actually HAD submitted and received permits for their work. All of them said they had no trouble getting permits and could get them in 2-3 weeks or sooner. We ended up working with Kefficient, who quickly got the permit and got the work done and inspected. Kefficient was more expensive than Vance, but upon looking at the permits submitted for encapsulation, which also lists the sq footage and the cost of the project for all the houses in our county, it was actually a fair and competitive price. And for a project this expensive and important to get right, I'd rather work with a company who is willing to get a permit and have their work inspected. I'd never trust Vance Insulation to do any work on my house after this experience.
