WORST HVAC EXPERIENCE -- I DO NOT RECOMMEND 4 SEASONS This has been, without question, the worst HVAC experience I have ever had. In July 2026, Four Seasons recommended replacing my existing 3.5-ton AC unit with a 5-ton system. To my knowledge, no proper load calculations were performed or provided to justify this significant increase in size. Based on their recommendation, I invested approximately $10,000 in a new system installed on August 11, 2026. The initial installation was completely unacceptable. They sent one 22-year-old installer by himself, the compressor was loose enough that I could move it by hand, and the coil and ductwork installation was extremely poor. The attached photos speak for themselves. After I complained, they returned and improved the installation, but the brand-new AC system still did not work correctly. Since August 11, I have had technicians at my home almost every day, and despite numerous attempts to fix it, the system continues to malfunction and freeze. Even worse, when the system froze and subsequently thawed, the water caused damage to my basement and mechanical room. I have also repeatedly had to take time away from work to accommodate their service visits. After spending approximately $10,000, more than two weeks of service calls, repeated failures, property damage, and countless hours of frustration, the system is still not operating correctly as of August 28, 2026. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Sewer & Electric. If you are considering this company for a major HVAC installation, I strongly recommend doing your research and considering other options. A brand-new $10,000 HVAC system should work properly from day one. Mine still does not. read more

I just had a technician come to my house to check for a leak. I had my carrier system installed (by others) and we did not pressure check the system, shame on me. We pulled a vacuum and it held, "so I thought". Anyways the company "4 Seasons' I contacted on the phone. I told them what had happened and was informed that there is a service charge. He arrived in a timely manner and I got a text, an email, and a phone call stating when he was arriving. All good so far, I told him I needed a nitrogen pressure test and a vacuum and 8.01 lbs. of 410A refrigerant per the spec. sheet, because it is empty. So he has not done a thing at all yet and he called his support team. The manager said $3,000.0 for the job then offered $900 off for $2,100. I said no, and he still charged me for the service charge $85. he did nothing at all, so I asked him to leave. "RIPOFF" read more

If you tune up your furnace or air-conditioner with them they give a no break down guarantee for 1 year but don't honor it. They'll still charge for repairs and they're very expensive. read more

THEY DO NOT STAND BY THE WORK!!! I bought windows from them in 2016 with a lifetime warranty with parts and labor. Since then they have closed their window department. now all I have is the manufacture warranty. So now I have to pay for labor even though I paid a premium price thinking that I had a lifetime warranty. All I got was they are mailing me weather striping that I have to install myself. read more

So, i get our yearly furnace tune up, always love the service & on site honesty, they have never tried to sell me things i dont need. This time the feed tube has a crack in it, needs to be replaced, the price the tech had to charge, while already on site for a tune up & having the part in truck. $199.99, no way. I went on line to Aprilair, same exact part $6.97, Now seriously Four Seasons, where do u get off upcharging that much, Customer 1st, my ass. Been a customer for 10 years, time to look elsewhere. My sump pump started banging and making a lot of noise during the spring rains this year. I filled out a free estimate form online and got a call back right away. We scheduled and the repair person called and said he was 30 mins away around 11am. He showed up around 1pm. He arrived and asked me before even entering if he should bring the replacement sump pump. I said I wanted it looked at BEFORE replacing it. Perhaps it could be repaired? He opened the closet and said, yup we can replace that. I reiterated I didn't want it replaced necessarily. He asked me how old it was and I said 5 years. He said, yup that is when they go out usually. I checked later and with research found out they needed repair around 5 years, but should last ten. He did remove the floor covering and explained that it needed to be replaced and he could do it for $799. I said no, now irritated. He called his home base and said they could do it for $599 but I had to do it right now. I said no again. There was clearly one agenda here. To replace my sump pump for $600+. I have a REPAIR person at my house right now replacing the switch and valve and I am considering installing a backup. read more

I have now interacted with 4 seasons twice. The first time, for a furnace motor issue and the second for a kitchen sink hookup. The first time, I found out after the fact that I severely overpaid by about $800 for my work. I didn't know at the time and the situation was urgent. The second time, I had someone come out for an estimate to hook up the plumbing under my new sink and install a new faucet. The estimate was $900, $500 of that for the faucet alone. The faucet was Moen, a name brand, and I knew I could do it myself. That $900 didn't even include my garbage disposal, as the plumber told me it wouldn't work with my new sink. I found several places (reputable, licensed, and qualified) that were AT LEAST 50% cheaper. I ended up getting the work done for $325. And that was with the garbage disposal- turns out it fit perfectly!! Please stay away from 4 seasons. They are not knowledgeable and charge way too much! Please do research!!!! read more

I recently called Four Seasons to have a garbage disposal unit installed. They said they could not tell me the price to install but they would send the plumber out who will give me an estimate and the cost will be applied to the work. When he arrived, I was told that the price would be $800.00. I felt that this price was extreme so we called his supervisor, and he asked me what I thought I should pay. He would not quote me a lower price saying that they do good work. I did not have them do the work. Although I am 87 years old, I purchased the disposal from Amazon for $94.00 and installed it myself in 1/2 hour. Four Seasons called me the next day to see if my problem was solved. I asked how they could charge $800.00 for this kind of job. I got no answer. I have had Four Seasons replace and clean my furnace, clean my air conditioning unit and clean ducts. We had been so disappointed with other contractors, doing lousy work! We finally found Four Seasons and decided, once again, to try to get our work done competently. Four Seasons did repair work on our siding, added some siding and created 2 cement sidewalks and a set of back stairs. The front sidewalk turned out so beautiful, that I get complements on it all the time - even from the pizza delivery person! And I actually had someone stop by our house while I was picking up mail and asked what siding we had and how lovely it looked. I of course, told the people all about Four Seasons and showed them the repair work they had done on the siding. I always tell everyone what a great job they did and how professional and friendly their workmen are! We recently found out that we needed our roof replaced. I was very upset, because we had taken out a home equity loan and had budgeted the amount needed to complete the house for sale. The roof, however, had to be replaced, so we scheduled the work. The workmen did a wonderful job, completing almost all of it in 1 day, coming out the following day to complete it. Once again, they were friendly and very professional. Four Seasons offer a 50 year warranty on the roof work and it's a transferable warranty, so I'm sure that will be an asset in selling the house! I HIGHLY recommend Four Seasons for their professional workmanship and good relations. read more

I purchased a heating cooling system through Home Depot. Four seasons is their representative and installer. Four seasons has a checkered history in Chicago in my experience. I would leave them no stars, but they did show up to my home on the date and installed the condenser. They removed a cement block platform that had been in place for more than 10 years. The installers used a portion, four, cement blocks as the base for the condenser. This resulted in a hole behind the unit. That hole subsequently, filled with water and my downstairs was damaged by water . Additionally, the hole they drilled into my home for the copper tubing was done poorly. By which, there is black insulation wrapped around and knotted multiple times. This knot then was covered in cement by hand. The system does not turn off when the temperature is set on the thermostat. It runs constantly. A quality inspector came to my home from four seasons. That was more than a month ago. I followed up with a telephone call a couple of weeks ago. I was told there was a backlog of customer concerns and that four seasons would not be able to respond immediately and I would have to wait for them to get back to me. Still haven't heard anything. I filed a complaint with Home Depot. They are now conducting the matter. Bottom line; do not do business with four seasons. They are not reputable. read more

My experience with this company .. Was not good at all and they are way to expensive.. Be careful to sign anything .. They tell you one thing and do another .. A play on words and then when you do not like what they do , to fix it they want to charge you more .. Then throw in your face as a threat that you signed the paper.. So you pay .. Way to expensive and not good work .. I paid 221.00 for a not even a hour of work and then put my old pipes back on when they said they where going to replace it all .. Then after do says no just replace one pipe ... This company is a RIPE OFF... Never will I use them again ... I got played....... read more

Let me start by saying that my mother tried her best to give this company the benefit of the doubt...with that being said, my mother's bathroom needed a COMPLETE renovation because pipes were rotten and the floor completely unsafe so she decided to go with this company against my advice. She called in August to get the process started and it is now January and we just now got a quote. During which time, the bathroom flooded five times while we were waiting for them to decide to respond to us!! We had to pay for the emergency repairs but still no word about the renovation and no phone calls back as promised by Kevin. Instead, he asked to speak to ME several times when I am not the homeowner! My mother has every right to constantly call if she was promised communication from you and didn't receive it. I guess we were not that important enough to them and we completely wasted our time and could have gone with a small business to contract the work. read more

If "4 Seasons" makes you think high end, think again. STAY AWAY Their phone personnel leave out the small print, grossly misrepresent services and cost, and if you happen to catch the "on call team", it's hard to tell if you are speaking the same language. Their service window is ridiculous and they have NO ability to accommodate requests - even if you are the first client of the day. They quadrupled the estimated cost for duct cleaning, saying the cost was explained on taped call. After my 4th call to connect with customer service to hear the call, I gave up. The plumber who came to assess a problem gave an estimate for installation of 2 faucets that was 8 times higher than my next highest offer, then lowered it by 30% - stating "I spoke with my manager..." I would not suggest ever purchasing doors or windows from Four Seasons. I had three doors and two windows installed by the company several months ago and there have been multiple issues. From having the incorrect door initially installed to having varying colors of trim installed to not being consistent with installation practices, there have just been one too many issues (they actually suggested I call a repair company). I have used the company for my water heater, furnace and some plumbing and have only had good experiences. The lack of support and willingness to help fix my door issues is a huge disappointment. I don't think this is their expertise and would advise using another company focused on good work and support in this area. Hi Melissa, I appreciate your response but to quantify they were spring hinges you sold me and would not install after installing them on another door. All of this within less than a years time frame. I am a new home owner and I had a issue with my plumbing that needed to be resolved I called Four Seasons they came out they were very professional and friendly and charged a reasonable price for what I needed done I will certainly reach out to them if I need more repairs knowing that they do other things besides plumbing. Had 4 Seasons Home Services remodel the entire outside of my house. Terrible quality of work. All sub-contractors, no english. Nothing but problems. Do NOT use this company. Everything they did to the outside of my house is falling off. It looks bad. That's what you get for spending $30,000! Customer service claims to be good too but they were absolutely terrible to me. So, we looked at this company as our fourth estimate for some remodeling work. They have some great offers...."best price guarantee", 0% financing options, 40% off labor. Well, first off, of the four companies, they were the only one who kept us waiting - more like a cable company appt window. Not a good first impression. Then the estimate...it was 3 times the amount of our next highest estimate. We got our companies from angies list too. So they came with good cred. The only thing we could figure, was they didn't want our job. It's a fairly large project too. Oh well, we aren't even going to entertain the best price guarantee. ...could you imagine the work we'd get if we had them drop their price by almost $20 grand??? Oh, and a tip to you all possibly interested in the financing option.....sure, it's 0%, but they take around 15% or so off if you don't finance. So there you go...not a real deal. Just go with a different group and utilize a good cc offer if you need financing help. We were so shocked in the pricing here. Thank goodness we have a few good companies to choose from. Four Seasons Home Services has a handyman section. Even though this tiling job was a comedy of errors, I have to give Four Seasons good Kudos because they went above and beyond to make me happy. Would I use this service again, I would but I would be asking for Tony, out of the three handymen that came to my house to do the job, he was the best and knew what he was doing. Four Seasons has some issues in this division, first they do not send the same handyman to do the job start to finish, which for me was an issue. This causes problems when there shouldn't be any, second then the first handyman comes and doesn't finish the prep work, the second handyman had issues starting the project, but finally they send someone who knew exactly what he was doing. If I had to do this all over again, I would have called and insisted that only one handyman do the job start to finish, and that would be Tony. He treated my house like it was his own, so he did the job with care and concern for the family. Also this job which was quoted as a 4 day job turned into a 9 day job, luckily I had a second bathroom, otherwise, it would have been an issue. My only other issue was out of three handymen, only one stayed past 3 pm, and made sure that he could not go any further before leaving. If you're going to use their handyman services ask for Tony, he's the best. The company needs more handymen like him, maybe he needs to train the other guys to be more like him, then there wouldn't be as many problems. Yes I would use them again. read more

Just wanted to say that they did a great job, guy who came to check out the problem showed us everything that was wrong and explained in detail. My blower motor on my furnace went out on January 18th 2018 call Four seasons because they had worked on my unit before. And I thought they were a descent company but I found out I was wrong. The 1st thing the tech said before even looking at the unit was have you ever had water in the basement. I told him yes in 2010 then he says well I won't be able to repair your unit it has to be replaced. That's when I told him that the blower was replaced by them in December 2012 and the tech knew my basement had flooded in 2010. Then he says well he wasn't suppose to repair the unit because that's our policy then I said I paid $1100 to repair my unit in 2012. So he calls his manager and told him everything and the manager says well how we don't know there hasn't been more water damage. At which time I said it didn't matter at this point because if their policy is to not repair units that might have possible water damage the 2012 technician didn't follow procedures and I spent $1100 when I could've just replaced it then. They didn't feel that their technician did anything wrong. Plus I had another company come out and look at the unit and they said the unit was in good shape and only needed the blower. read more

Have used Four Seasons in the past for heating/air condition needs. Needed 4 windows replaced. Saw flyer in mail advertising the Home Services unit. Called to give it a try. Salesman was prompt and very knowledgeable of their window products. Estimate for windows was reasonable. Salesman measured windows, 2 days later they were re-measured again and pictures taken. If they make a costing mistake, they eat it. They even took a lead paint test for safety purposes (I think its the law too). Windows were in about a month later. Home Services called for installation appointment. A few days later installation was done. Very happy with the two installers and workmanship. They cleaned up after installation and when working inside house put padding on floors. Both were prompt and knew what they were doing...no rookies. All in all a five star experience from ordering through installation. Even got a phone call after installation from Home Services on my satisfaction. read more
