I truly wish that giving "negative stars" was an option for this review. Royal Plumbing was assigned to me through my home warrantee company, I had no choice in using them. They sent a plumber to my home who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. He was completely incomprehensible and was rude in his demeanor. He did not fix the issue because he said he "received a phone call from the home warrantee company" telling him he had to stop working because they were no longer going to pay him to be in our home (what kind of story is that??). He then asked for his money, wrote us our receipt, which had no information on it stating that the problem was fixed, and left.
I then called Royal Plumbing and spoke to their secretary, Sue. I explained the situation to her, and she immediately denied its possibility, stating that there is no way that particular plumber could have been drinking as he has a medical condition that would prevent him from doing that. She also claimed she had pictures of him on the job, which a) is false- no pictures were taken during his time in my home and b) would not prove if he drank prior to arrival. Whether or not it was alcohol under his breath, she assured me that she would speak with the owner and that he would call me back within a few days.
I received no phone call back. I called and asked that the situation be addressed. Sue told me that she did speak to the owner, and that both he and the plumber were "insulted" and "hurt" that I accused the plumber of drinking. She told me I would not be speaking with the owner, and that if I still have problems with my hot water heater, I should take it up with the home warrantee company. She also accused me of "changing my story" the 2 times I talked to her, which is not at all true. I reported the same thing to her both times. I told her I was completely dissatisfied with her customer service and was floored by the way she was speaking to me. She responded by telling me that her quality of customer service to me was irrelevant as I was a customer of the home warrantee company and not of them- who says that?! I replied that I had no interest in continuing to speak with her and would call my warrantee company. Sue ended the phone call by telling me that she didn't need my business because they "do pretty well" without me.
My home warrantee company called them and Sue told my home warrantee company that I "upset and hurt them" with my accusations of poor and unprofessional service. Luckily the warrantee company was very observant of this poor service and bad relationship and reassigned me a new plumbing company to follow through with my claim.
Anyone that thinks they "don't need your business" is bad business person and should think twice before they speak. Royal Plumbing, I hope you recognize the wrong you've done and improve the way you communicate to customers and stop protecting employees who are ill-fitting and unprofessional. read more
