My husband and I just moved to the area and had hoped to try Four Plus Three for lunch today. We walked in at 2:35 and were told that lunch had ended at 2:30. After making a big stink about our being late, the man who "greeted" us sat us at a table and said he would serve us lunch after all. "But next time, make it before 2:30." Feeling rather uncomfortable, we left as soon as he went to get our waters. The restaurant's posted hours for today say 11:30-9:30. I could find nothing online about "lunch hours." I've worked in food service for a long time, and I t seems to me that if a restaurant is open, they shouldn't complain about customers coming in mid-afternoon. We'll try again some other time, during normal meal hours. read more

There are several reasons why I give this 2 stars. The good: it was tasty food, we had the bulgogi beef, and the Korean short ribs. Both were under the "hot plates" menu section. We also had the dumplings and t He usual sides-kimchi, potato, bean sprouts, kimchi cucumbers, and rice. Their special soy sauce is good too. Overall the taste was amazing. But not over priced food worth amazing. The bad: It is WAY too over priced for 1- why type of food it is. 2- the amount of food was absolutely pathetic. There was no one really there but one other couple and we were there from 5:40-6:45. I'm not sure who here has had some good Korean bbq or not, but I've never been to a Korean place that charges $31.99 for the short ribs..and...It's TWO short ribs. That's it. You can't make the bulgogi beef either on the stovetop, it's on a hot plate. You also don't get the lettuce to make wraps if you get the hot plates. There's no all you can eat option. There's a $49.99 for two plate but it's like 3 pieces of pork strip (aka bacon), 5 shrimp and some slices of brisket. WTF. That's like 1/4 lb of meat for 2 people to share. The Korean bbq place that I love in my old town did unlimited meats (10 to choose from) for $29.99 a person. It was always busy in there and the best Korean food I've ever had. If these people don't give you more food for your money then they won't be in business very long. We literally left hungry. Both of us are in shape, we eat clean. Korean bbq is known for its massive amount of cook it yourself food. They need some specials, or a night of all you can eat or something. I personally won't be coming back here because of that, it's a huge rip off. Paying that much money for the quantity of food out weights the delicious taste of their food. Would you pay $20 bucks for a Big Mac? No, I don't think so. If you eat here that's what will happen. Moral of the story is- don't waste your money. read more

Not just exceptional fare, eating here is like a delightful sojourn into another country. For the full experience I recommend the BBQ options, which are prepared right at your table. The marinated short ribs are outstanding, and well complemented by the seasoning sauces and veggies. On the main menu the seafood pancake is hard to beat. We've been watching for the opening of this place for months and finally had opportunity to check it out tonight. While waiting, I decided to take a look on Yelp reviews. I noticed Rod C.'s comment and I must say that he's quite right when it comes to their gesture once you step inside. It's jam packed when we got in. there's like 3 more groups waiting. We were then approached by the man and asked us if it's Bbq or Regular table. So, we decided to wait for the BBq table. We started ordering our food and here comes the highlight of Korean Resto, the grilling part. I ordered the Special combo and 2 Dol Sholt Bibimbap. When they served the bibimbap, they made a mistake and gave us the wrong order(they gave us the regular bibimbap) I told the lady about it but since i was so hungry, i told her that i'll just take it. She apologized to me and said that it's her first day. i let it pass but the owner (i guess) came in and he took it and came back with the right one. The soft tofu soup and the ban chap that comes with our order was great. The bbq was good and so as the Bibimbap. I am definitely recommending it to all. read more

This place has got to be one of the best places I've gone to eat at. The meats are delicious and the fact you get to cook it yourself is the best. I like that because it will be fresh and not under or over done. The only thing I don't like is the K-pop but that's just me. I don't personally enjoy K-pop but I think many people enjoy the music here. Byron is very kind to me and my family whenever we come here. Jin is kind to my parents and my brothers. We always leave full and satisfied. My family has tried to make it home made but it's just NOT THE SAME! The sauces make the meal perfect. We all quite enjoy coming here every now and then. If you are here to have a normal meal you will NOT enjoy yourself. You will leave regretting eating that much. But I mean all of that in a good way. The quality of their meat is really good! I usually get their all you can eat bbq; however, this time I wanted to venture beyond the pork belly and beef brisket. We ordered the Wang Galbi (marinated premium beef short rib), Teuk Sahm Gyup Sal (fatty pork), and Daegi Bulgoki (thin-sliced pork marinated in spicy sauce). Although the bill was on the pricier side, I highly recommend giving any of these three meats a try! Unfortunately, you aren't able to combine these dishes with the all you can eat special... (they're very strict on this rule). But we had five people on our table, and we were all very content after finishing everything. I also highly recommend getting the seafood pancake and Ohjhingauh Bokeum (spicy squid and vegetables). read more

The Korean food here is one of the better ones in Eugene. Not comparable to anything that you can get in Koreatown in LA or the small Koreatown in the Bay Area, but it is decent. I got the seafood tofu stew and it wasn't spicy at all and a little bland. Also the seafood they use is from a frozen bag, so it doesn't taste fresh and the shrimp they use is already processed. I like it when the soup is made with whole shrimp, because the flavoring is better. Once the shrimp is peeled, deveined and beheaded the good shrimpy essence is lost. I also ordered the seafood pancake. Again the seafood was from a bag, but on the positive side they didn't skimp out on the ingredients. Major downside of the seafood pancake was that it was not crispy, but a bit soggy. Last thing I bought was the LA galbi. That was probably the best part of the meal. It was flavorful and cooked properly. The food also came with some sides. The kimchi and sweet potato was decent, but the broccoli and zucchini with red pepper paste was a lame side though. Also, why do they charge you extra to refill the sides? Never went to a Korean restaurant that did that. Other than the food, the service was great. Servers were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was also very nice, especially if you're going in a group. Due to the stellar service I'm gonna bump up my rating to a 3/5. Might come back if I'm in desperate need of some Korean food, but I will probably just wait until I go back to California. read more

THIS PLACE DOES NOT DESERVE THE RATING IT HAS!!!!! I WISH I COULD RATE THEM AS 0 STARS.... I have never written a review before IN MY LIFE, so this should be a sign about how awful my experience here was. The server, not only waited by our table and criticized how we cook and ate our food, he ripped the tongs out of my boyfriends hands and put the meat on the grille for him unnecessarily. My boyfriend has experienced many Korean BBQ Restaurants, so its safe to say we didn't look like we didn't know what we were doing. We were rushed to eat being that closing was in 20 minutes, where the server put all of our meat on the grille without us asking him to. He also used the same utensils to cut our meat, like we were children, we have been using to handle the raw meat. He shut off the music and the fan above our grille FIVE MINUTES after they "closed" at 8:30. We shoved $50 of our meal into our mouths afraid of the up-charge for leaving meat. I went to a concert with my wife, that ended at 5 PM on a Sunday night. My brother had sung in the concert and we asked him if he would like to join us as we wanted to try this restaurant. He had carpooled with some other singers so he asked if they wanted to join. Others in the choir heard the discussion in the church. Long story short, we ended up with a party of about 12, going to this place without a reservation! We had to wait for a table a bit, but the staff took it all in stride and seated this mob. Everyone loved the dinner. I had Korean barbecue (cooked at the table) with 4 others in the party. We had prime rib, chicken, and Bulgoki (beef sliced thin and marinated). These come with a variety of veggies kimchi, sauces and lettuce leaves. You load up a lettuce leaf with meat and whatever you like and wrap it up and eat it by hand. All the others hat their food kooked in the kitchen. Some of us had some Soju, which is like Japanese sake. We all had great fun. read more

A solid 3.4 stars. The good: -It's nice to have an option for Korean food in the West 11th area. -Food tastes fresh. -It's full service, which I appreciate in a land of order-at-the-counter places. -Service is helpful and welcoming. -Atmosphere is pretty good, with a background of K-pop music videos to keep things interesting. The less good: -My main reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is just that a lot of the food isn't terribly flavorful except for spice. The bibimbap, for example, is mostly comprised of pretty plain ingredients in a bowl, and it only gains flavor from adding the gochujang sauce. -The stone pot that the bibimbap comes in isn't hot enough to crisp the rice, no matter how long I leave it sitting there. It's not worth the extra 2 dollars for a stone pot that only serves to keep the food warm. -While the staff is very friendly toward small children, there are some challenges to bringing children here. The main one is that if you order the Korean BBQ, it's hard to find a place to seat a kid where they won't be able to reach the grill or the utensil drawer. There are also nice little screen dividers around and on some of the tables, and these are tempting for kids to poke at and move around. And on my last visit, two separate employees handed hard candies directly to my 2-year-old during and after our meal without asking me whether that was ok. Bottom line: I'll continue to come here when I want Korean food on my side of town, but I'd much rather drive to Noodle Bowl. Also, I'm still carrying a torch for Chingu, so perhaps my standards for newer Korean places are too high. read more

So I was super excited when my friends mentioned we were getting Korean BBQ and I had heard good things about this place. We get there and we are super confused by the menu because it was not clear on what all was included with each meal. When we all tried to order the gentlemen working stated that how we were ordering wouldn't work because there wouldn't be enough food for us and told us what we needed to do which meant we needed to spend more money. I have never had a Korean BBQ place not let us order what we were ordering. We then tried to get the all you can eat and he said everyone at the table needs to order it if we do that. Each person then had to pay 25-30 dollars for a little bit of meat and some sides when we all really wanted to share all the different meats with each other if he would have let us from the beginning and just would have ordered more food if it wasn;t enough. I was very disappointed with my experience here, and I didn't even eat. My boyfriend and I were searching for an easy ayce Korean BBQ dinner and this place had a lot of good reviews, as well as a cheap $20 "all you can eat" price. When we walked in we found out that option was restricted to brisket and pork belly, two of the naturally cheapest things on the menu. We walked back out, hoping to find something that would satisfy what we were looking for. Having no real luck finding something at 8 pm, we went back in and tried to settle for it. As we sat down, we found out that they don't offer rice paper (maybe any sides, didn't even get to that point), and that to get the bulgogi I wanted, I had to order 2 twenty-dollar portions in order to have the BBQ experience myself. Then, the waiter pointed out that they wouldn't let me have bulgogi if my boyfriend got an ayce meal, not because of worry for sharing, but because my marinated meat would make his meat better when they got cooked on the same grill. When I complained that that wouldn't work for me, the waiter insisted multiple times that I just get ayce and I had to explain that's NOT what I wanted. Overall a frustrating experience.
