If you are in need of a massage and are nervous about COVID you're not alone. I was in that group. Until today. I was in such need, I suppose life coupled with all this COVID stress caught up to me and my body was letting me know. So I did some research, looked into which spas are open and what their protocol and COVID procedures are. I chose Four Moons and am writing to share that I am SO glad I did! First, my massage was not good, it was GREAT!!! I had my concerns about having to wear a mask but within minutes I settled in and the added attention to wearing the mask kept me present in and with my breathing and I was able to stay there throughout the treatment. I arrived a couple minutes early waited in the beautiful outdoor waiting area alone and was greeted from a distance . My therapist came out directed me to the massage room, which are set up outside so you have nice gentle air movement, can hear the birds and I settled in. Every step was clearly addressed and operating according to COVID mandated procedures. I can not imagine it was easy to change everything to accommodate the COVID mandates but places like Four Moons that are doing it clearly demonstrate where their interest lines- in their clients' and making sure we are comfortable, providing the up-most experience. read more

I didn't have the best experience with Four moons spa, but I will say in the end they made it right and for that I'm thankful. I will say venue itself is 5 stars. It's an absolutely gorgeous little oasis in the heart of Leucadia. That was such a surprise and a treat. (Thus the 3 stars) Just a tip though, don't go in the dead of summer as they don't have any air and hardly any fans. Definitely not prepared for SoCal summers. I was so happy with the massage I had today in their outdoor waterfall bungalow. I have been to Four Moons before and have done a massage in one of their indoor rooms and I have to say I liked this experience even more! It was open air and I could hear the water from the koi pond next to me. Overall, I think Four Moons did a great job creatively pivoting to safely manage guests with the pandemic. After a very stressful month of wedding planning and training for a new pilot job at Delta, my fiancé and I decided that a couples massage would be just the thing to rid us of the tension that had built up in our bodies and minds. A quick Yelp search led us to Four Moons Spa. With great reviews and an even more convenient location (10 minutes from home), I decided to go ahead and book a Sunday afternoon Couples Massage. The online booking system made scheduling a breeze, and before I knew it we were arriving on the beautiful grounds for a much-needed afternoon of relaxation. After checking in and filling out paperwork in the adorable boutique/reception area, we were greeted by Caralena K. and Nicole C. who would be our masseuses for the afternoon. Both were sweet and greeted us with a smile, and did a great job getting to know us and our massage preferences on the way to the bungalow where our massages would be taking place. The massage tables were very comfortable, the room peaceful and relaxing, and the massages were blissful. The kind of massages that make 60 minutes seem to absolutely fly by. Since it was my fiancé's first massage, I was eager to know what he thought. After Caralena and Nicole left the room to let us change, the first words out of his mouth were "this is going to have to be a monthly thing". He's hooked! My best friend was surprising me for my birthday with a massage. She specifically asked for the confirmation text not go to me. Unfortunately, it was sent to me and ruined the surprise. Nonetheless, I was excited because I had never been to Four Moons Spa. The check in area is beautiful and I loved the music. The experience went south once I used the bathroom before my service. What looks like someone had a terrible #2 accident all over the toilet seat and in the toilet, I was told is just that the toilet is old and they are working on getting it replaced. It looks short of disgusting. I filled out the pre-massage questionnaire and requested med/hard pressure. The massage therapist was very light and when I requested harder, the pressure barely changed. It was more of a rub down, than a massage. I think she spent more time pumping more oil on her hands than actually giving me a massage. I gave feedback a few times but just felt frustrated because the massage wasn't getting any better, so I gave up. I recieved the Clear Your Head add-on service that was supposed to be a cooling gel pack, inhale eucalyptus essential oil & sinus drainage massage. I was extremely dissapointed as it was a cold pack that was put under the head rest that was extremly uncomfortable when I laid on my stomach, then they had a wet towel hanging underneath the head rest. I never smelled eucalyptus. There was no facial sinus drainage. The massage therapist pressed on my face with more oil for a couple of minutes in different spots and that was about it. As I opened my eyes when the massage was over, I noticed several huge dusty cobwebs above me. It was a beautiful room yet I couldn't believe they didn't think to keep it clean from top to bottom. It just kept adding more notches to this awful experience. Once I opened the door to the leave the room, I was met akwardly with the massage therapist directly in front of the door. It was a bit of a shock and uncomfortable. I've had many massages in my life both at luxury spas and in the most basic massage parlours and I regret to share, this experience was subpar. read more

My daughter and I came by to the spa a few weeks ago. We were expecting to have the best time, and get facials for her special day. Everything went great our esthetician Vanessa was so lovely. As we come to the front desk, the sweet girl Maddison hands us two free mini creams for coming in and booking a facial. They had previously advertise on their instagram story. But I have to agree with Emma J's recent review. Our sweet little get away quickly soured, as their neurotic manager came in and ripped them right out of our hands. (Stating that it's was meant for another promotion) I don't care what mistake you made. You don't take away something from people's hands. Expect to be treated with less than respect by this petty manager. Who lacks basic understanding of customer servicing. I did just spend over 300 dollars. You could if just let it go, really a couple of sample creams. I would of reconsider coming back if Carly had tried to make it right, or if she would of even taken responsibility for her actions, sad to say as a event planner I would of been referring this beautiful venue. But I cannot support such immaturity and bad manner of execution on paying customers. What a shame for the owners. The place is a little hide out get away. read more

I hosted my brother and sister-in-law's baby shower here. Initially the communication was spotty, but they changed their event coordinator. After the change, it was smooth sailing. Nina was really great with walking us through the process. The jungle patio was great for our ~25 that showed up. I think I would've prepared us for a little more time for set up/tear down. I was given a gift certificate as a birthday gift and was planning to use it. I called to make an appointment and was told that I can only use 50% of the value of the gift certificate. Furthermore, since they changed the name (not owners, just name) they have no record of my gift certificate so they cannot even check on the value (thank God I have an email from the old Bergamot account). I did not receive an email or phone call notice about the change so i had no idea. I asked if i can speak to a manager to find out if i can use the full value but the person on the phone said the manager will not budge on this. This just leaves a bad taste for me and will not use the gift card at all. It's not worth doing business with this spa because of the bad policy. I also feel like this is fraudulent because the gift certificate didn't expire so i should be allowed to use the full value. Will report to BBB. read more

Just had a healing session with Diana - I feel like a new man. She is absolutely amazing. The spa is stunning, so relaxing and full of positive energy. The staff seems fantastic. Everyone I met was warm, welcoming and friendly. The manager, Karly I think, went out of her way to make me feel welcome. It was my first time doing a healing session, so I was a little nervous, but she started the experience off really great. I have been meaning to write this review for a while. I got a gift certificate from my husband for a massage here. My lower back was really hurting so he made me the appointment for an hour and a half massage. I told the therapist about my lower back. She had me lay on my stomach for less than a quarter of the massage. She spent most of the time with me on my back massaging my upper back. My friend who is a massage therapist said she was being lazy and using my own body weight to help her. She spent minimal time on the area that hurt. I went back to my previous massage therapist 2 days later and she helped. I love the setting and was hoping to find another resource, but I will not be going back. read more

A custom massage to my bodies needs. I didn't even have to explain my aches and pains , Danica could just feel where they were . After the massage was over she & I connected on such an energy level . Had facial here recently. Esthetician was good but found the place kind of weird and dirty. Dirty toilet in the bathroom. Dirt path with paving stones lead to the entry. I felt it was very overpriced for the location and service. Also kind of hard to find - there's a sign for it off the railroad tracks and you go up the driveway to entrance but can't see it from Vulcan. Really kills the relaxing buzz when the train rolls by and is super noisy. read more

My husband booked me a massage for Mother's Day that I was so excited to attend. We got our covid vaccines yesterday (the day before) and I didn't anticipate feeling horrible as the first one went smooth, no side effects. This morning I had a 101 fever, body aches, chills and a migraine. He tried calling them early in the morning, but when he got through to them they were extremely rude and said "this is our busiest day of the year, we're gonna charge you." We didn't have a problem with that, as the massage was prepaid and tipped ahead of time. He asked if we could reschedule (since no one lost out of money; it was prepaid- just wanted to come a different day) and they told us they'll do 30% off next time. What a rip off. And then they said we should have called yesterday (I was feeling fine yesterday- how could I know I'd feel the reaction this morning!?) During a global pandemic to not be flexible when I was having a reaction to the vaccine is just unacceptable and cold. Keep the 30%, I won't be giving my money to a business as rude and unaccommodating as them. read more

Although the massage was very good as well the masseuse. The "coordinator" as they call it , that works the desk was extremely rude. At first guided us to the bathroom and trash can??? I wasn't sure why(the trash can) but loved on with the day. At the end..this same "coordinator" specifically states "are to able to leave a gratuity". This states so much. I know when and how much to tip. Even more then necessary. Like we were poor and walked off the streets into their place of business. Even so...what ask this ruse and unprofessional question. I did reach out and heard back ...won't mention specific names but was told "she saw you throw a piece of gum". She did ...don't think so. Even if she did ....do you still need to be rude. Anyways. I have been experiencing some negative set backs in my life and I wanted to do something special for myself on my birthday. My boss at work recommended Four Moons Spa. I chose to experience Energy Mastery facilitated by Nick Hansinger. The experience lasted about an hour and it was amazing! He did a couple healings and taught me some exercises to do throughout the day for grounding and breath work. The experience was like releasing some old negative energy that I had been carrying around with me for a while. I felt extremely comfortable talking with him about personal stuff and there was no feeling of judgment.
