I wanted to share my experience today at Four Moons. I was gifted a spa package which included a 90min massage and 90min facial. My overall rating of the time I spent at the facility and the services received is a 10 out of 10. They took all necessary precautions regarding covid including temperature readings, intake forms pertaining to health etc, and the staff wore masks as well as gloves during treatment. (All bathrooms and rest areas had sanitizer)I felt at ease and was able to truly enjoy my time while also feeling safe. I thought these protocols would effect the quality or my impression of the place but it sure did not whatsoever. Honestly it was serene and I pretty much had the place to myself. Absolutely an amazing experience starting as soon as you enter the property. Gorgeous environment, you step into an oasis. I enjoyed waiting at a table by their beautiful koi pond for my massage to start. Staff was helpful and knowledgable, and the massage therapist (Sydney) was absolutely the BEST. She went over everything to be expected, was thorough, clearly has tons of experience giving massage because it was one of the best I've had in my life. The oils and lotions she picked out was perfect for my face/skin complexion, and the smells and feel to them were luxurious. Absolutely will come back again and again. I came down to Leucadia to visit my niece for the weekend and she was very excited to take me to the four moons spa for a massage. As a business owner working in the customer service industry, I was appalled by the way we were treated. My niece made an appointment for us at 1:30pm and I had called the morning of our treatment to confirm our 1:30pm appointment time. We were called by the staff at 1:20pm as we were pulling into the parking lot and was informed that our appointment time was at 1:15pm. They explained that our treatment time would be shortened. We explained that our appointment time was scheduled for 1:30 and even sent them proof of text messages confirming our appointment time. As a business owner I completely understand how scheduling errors can occur. Unfortunately, the way we were spoken to and the fact that there was no apology or actions taken yo accommodate us was extremely disappointing. I had been looking forward to this treatment and overall experience. A very close friend of mine was anxiously awaiting the review of my service here in hopes to take her entire bridal party to this facility. I have been meaning to write this review for a while but what an AMAZING experience. I found Four Moons while shopping around on Instagram and I am so glad I picked it. The whole vibe is unlike anything you've ever seen, it really transports you to another place. The staff there were truly pleasant and not that fake kind of nice, just truly happy to see you. I opted for the prenatal "Mellow Mama" massage and my mother was able to call ahead and pay for the treatment as a surprise which was great. I believe Tiffany was the one to give me the massage and WOW. She took me out to an open bungalow which was perfect and felt much safer due to COVID. Tiffany knew exactly what she was doing. My whole pregnancy I struggled with sciatic nerve pain and almost as soon as she started working on me I felt relief. She even offered to press a couple of pressure points to possibly induce labor (I was 38 weeks). I was pretty skeptical but definitely worth a shot. I began to have mild contractions on the massage table which may have been a coincidence but.... needless to say I gave birth to my son the next day! So, today was my partners birthday and not that we go crazy for birthdays, but I tried to plan something nice for her. I made the reservation over the phone about 2 weeks ago, the receptionist was very helpful and we settled on the Cloud 9 Spa Package (75 min Massage and a Pedi). I received a confirmation email earlier this week and confirmed it no problems. You are probably saying cut to the chase here why 2 stars, well when we walked in today the ladies working the desk were baffled as there was no record of the appointment. Thankfully they had a positive attitude about things and offered to fit us in! Well fitting us in meant my partner and I had to wait for 30 mins before she was invited to use the infrared sauna (their gesture of goodwill). Then after 30 mins in the sauna she had to wait for an hour for the massage. By that time she was kinda fed up, understandably so. She remained patient and ended up getting a great pedi from a lovely lady I think her name was Leighann. Now I recognize things go wrong and trust me I appreciate being able to be fit in rather than not at all, but I feel like some sort of discount would have been nice. Hard for me to recommend the place given the situation but I can say it was a beautiful facility! First, let me say the 60 minute facial and the 60 minute massage were wonderful, and the property a slice of heaven in the middle of a very busy part of Leucadia. That said, the overall experience with the business end was extremely disappointing, and I am sorry to say I will not support this spa for myself, or for future gifts for family and friends. I was given a $300 gift certificate to cover a massage, facial, mani/pedi AND lunch for my birthday in May 2017. Like many of us, time flies and before I knew it, October was upon me. I called to schedule my services, and was told Bergamont was under new management and my certificate would only cover the massage and facial. Not happy, but OK. Afterall, it was a gift...Had to cancel the appointment as my daughter was evacuated from the northern California fires that weekend. After the holidays, called to re-schedule, and now my $300 gift is only worth $150. Seriously...? From the previous reviews, I am understanding the owner hasn't changed, just his/her involvement in the business. In my opinion taking this position is a very poor business practice. You buy a business, you take on the liabilities, write them off, etc....AND by doing so graciously, you earn the loyalty of a future client. I will NOT patronize this business in the future, and as the saying goes, will most likely tell at least a dozen of my friends of their poor business practices. read more

When I explained this to the management they told me that they wouldn't want a client to experience "anything less than amazing." Subsequently I had an amazing massage with Brian who is highly skilled, kind, personable and generous with his time and knowledge. I was super excited to get a massage at Four Moons as I randomly stumbled upon their spa on Instagram and couldn't wait for a day when I could drive down from Huntington Beach to get a treatment. Once I got there I was blown away with adorable and peaceful the entire space was. However the level of service did not live up to the expectations that I had. Besides my massage therapist, the staff was not very friendly or welcoming. Typically when you go to a spa, you get some kind of tour so you don't feel like a weirdo walking about the grounds while you wait for your treatment. As soon as I was checked in, the girl at the front offered me water and told me to wait outside. I wish she had be a little more friendlier and offer to show me around as the space had a bunch of cute little areas to relax in (koi pond, day beds, etc) that I didn't really find out about until after my massage. I would like to specifically give a shout out to Brian as he was amazing! Hands down the best massage I've ever had but unfortunately I don't think ill be returning as the overall experience was not worth the money or the hour drive from Orange County. read more

I was given the pleasure of being pampered my an amazing, well experienced woman named Ferra during my facial. She made the atmosphere warm and cozy and very satisfying, she was very good with informing me what exactly was being put on my face and what it was going to do in the 30 minutes and as well how it would improve my skin in the long run. Called on Tuesday and spoke to "Carly" who apparently is the manager. Told her I have a gift card I received for my birthday for a massage. It doesn't say on GC the amount it just said "client request rose quartz room 60 min massage". Carly booked my appointment and ASKED ME FOR THE GIFT CARD NUMBER. I read it to her. In the system it showed the gift card was for $120. She told me their prices have changed so I will have to owe the remainder which she claimed would be $10 and a gratuity will be charged on my card. Making it a total of 45$ that will be charged on my card. So I had a $120 gift card.. and my card will be charged 45$ for gratuity and remainder of massage since prices went up totaling. Overall $165 massage for 60 minutes. I gave her my debit card over the phone and gift card number. The next day I get a text saying please text this number when u arrive at the reservation. I texted it once i was parked and I got a message back saying no reservation was found. So I called the front desk. No one answered. Then Carly called me back a few minutes later. Then someone came out i assume was carli. Calling me "donna". I told her no I'm not Donna. She looked confused. She checked my temperature and went over all the rules etc. I then get walked to the massage room where Tiffany was waiting for me. The massage was hands down the worst massage I've ever had. Felt like a child rubbing my back and she stopped after 50 minutes. When she was done she said to me "well since the pandemic we're supposed to just part ways your free to leave now". Not once did she say "go to the front desk" or check out or anything of the sort because we aren't supposed to be at the front desk. (They check you in outside). I get home and look on my transactions and Carly charged me $165. She was supposed to charge me $45! We called and informed Carly she was extremely RUDE and combative. She tried to tell me that I LIED. That I never told her I had a gift card and never gave her the gift card info. Are you kidding me? Then how would I know your prices changed and you would have to charge my card more because there was only $120 on it. Oh and what else is funny is there is no number on my gift card. It doesn't tell me how much is on it. So in order to find out i GAVE HER THE GIFT CARD NUMBER over the phone. So for her to call me a liar and get defensive is complete BS. She then proceeded to say after my massage I just ran off. That she tried calling my name in parking lot. Um I'm sorry but Tiffany the woman who gave me a massage told me I'm done to part ways since corona virus I can't go in the main desk. My car was parked directly out front of the front desk. If you were calling my name why wouldn't you walk up to my car or call me on the phone like you did an hour prior ?? Because again you are lying. Carly said she'll refund the 165$ but still has to charge me $45. I said ok whatever I have no choice. The next day Carly took out $63 from my account and didn't put back the 165$. So she took out $165 and $63 in a matter of two days. When I called about the $63 she told me I'm lying. So of course i sent over proof of my bank statements showing she in fact did take out another $63. FINALLY the next day she got it right. I got back $165 and they got their $45 dollars they they soooooo do not deserve. Your place is a joke with customer service. To insult me as a customer over and over and tell me I'm lying and that I never told you I had a gift card is beyond me. Carly is an awful manager and needs to learn how to speak to people and most importantly OWN IT. I would of been fine if you owned it and apologized and moved on. But no.. you chose to be or dismissive and combative and accuse me of 3 different scenarios that never happened that I had proof of. Don't waste your money here.
