I ordered this fountain earlier this year but my original contractor installed it incorrectly, dripped unevenly and was unbalanced. I was referred to Moses the owner who I contacted via phone. His support staff inside advised me it wouldn't be till after Thanksgiving but I requested to advise if they had any cancelation since I was flexible in having the crew over to give me an estimate. The next day I recieved a text confirming the date and 3 hour window time of arrival the week before the holiday. The 3 person crew arrived and the lead person gave me a verbal estimate within minutes - which I approved. The crew brought their shop vacuum and tools and disassembled the top bowls, leveled the base. They proceeded their systematically reassembling the fountain which included cleaning, reconnecting the pump hoses, caulking, filling and re adjusting the water flow on the pump. The lead person was awesome in advising me of tips, maintenance and time-frame of servicing - which I really appreciated. The job was completed promptly and looks and operates incredibly - thanks to Fountain Services. It's so refreshing to receive top notch service and professional which is rare now a days. Ours is not just a fountain...it's a Monument to the lovely and gracious Mrs. Yelper. She saw a fountain advertised on Craigslist for $65, and I thought ok a glorified bird bath. Negative! The basin is 5+ feet across and it stands 7+ feet high...so big you can see it from space. I thought we would need a city permit. You don't "assemble" a behemoth like this, you "erect" it. After stripping and painting it, I thought the hard part was over. Throw in a pump, attach tubing, and...it gurgled unceremoniously then nothing. So I called Moises. They came out and moved a fountain for us and installed new pumps in 2 fountains. One of our pumps seems to be too powerful for the fountain as we have to refill the fountain daily due to the pump expelling all the water. We were originally happy with the work, and the fact that they offer a one year guarantee. However, once they have collected payment, you won't ever get them to respond again. We have made more than 20 calls and left voicemails, all of which have been ignored. They have completely ghosted us. read more

My Fountain vendor recommended Fountain services in San Diego to install it. I worked with them over the phone to confirm pricing and what was needed for the installation. We were excited to have our fountain professionally installed. We were told that the fountain would be hardwired for the pump's 110V electricity, and that we needed additional low-voltage wiring for the lighting. We hired an asphalt company to trench and install the conduit for the wiring. We hired an electrician to install the required wiring. When Fountain services showed up, we reviewed the wiring. We also had an irrigation connection installed so that we could add water to the pump through our irrigation system. To my surprise, they argued with me that they could not install the lighting using the wires from the driveway trench because it was not low-voltage wiring and they would directly connect the lighting transformer into the outlet near the fountain. Secondly, they did not use the hardwired 110V wiring and instead plugged the pump into the electrical outlet that was installed near the fountain. The lighting transformer was left out in the open uncovered, which presents a hazard when it rains. Wire clippings and dirt were left on the ground near the fountain, as well as a blob of putty which was apparently dropped and stepped on which which made removing it from the pavers all the more enjoyable. The irrigation feed was never used, so I have an unused white PVC pipe sticking out of the ground next to the fountain. Did they do a good job installing the physical fountain? Yes, they did. The fountain looks beautiful and works well. Did they do a good job with the hook-ups, making them as inconspicuous as possible? No, they did a sloppy job and left a mess for me to clean up. I talked to my electrician, and he confirmed that his wiring that was perfectly acceptable for low voltage usage and it's usually not used because it costs more. What about the person on the phone from Fountain services who provided the installation requirements and coordinates the installation? I had everything prepared for them based on the information I was given and that person is not an installer. The installers pointed that out. There are other Fountain installers available. Save yourself money and a headache and hire a different business--one which cares about the paying customer. read more

Armstrong Nursery recommended this business to me. They DID come out, and straighten one fountain for us. And that part is wonderful. However, we asked them if they could clean our existing older fountain in the backyard. (we paid for both fountains to be worked on) Within days, our huge, beautiful, decades old bougainvillea withered and died. I contacted repeatedly to ask what product was used to clean the fountain, but they would not accept any blame or answer me. We paid to have it dug out. It was cornerstone of our patio. This is the worst kind of business, one that unapologetically wastes your time. I first contacted them on 1/7 and was told that they were busy, but would be able to schedule my installation for the week of 1/24 (after I provided them model numbers and invoices etc.). On 1/7 they said they couldn't give me a date, but would contact me in the following days to set a firm date. That was the last I ever heard from them! I just called them today (1/27) to enquire as to what was going on and what was responsible for the delay. They now said, which had never been mentioned before when promising the week of 1/24, that I needed to wait for another installation in my area so it was more convenient for them. I realize oversights happen, but if this was the type of local business that I typically like to support (normally I would not bother with this review or finding another installer), they would have acknowledged their mistake and squeezed me in next week. But what do they offer me? To get back in line: "Maybe we would be able to do it the week after next" with their same willy-nilly scheduling process which would undoubtedly lead to another phone call 3 weeks from now after again being forgotten. If you are reading this, you are me 3 weeks ago, just a person trying to get a fountain installed. Learn from my mistake and don't become present-day me, 3 weeks later still trying to have a fountain installed. Don't let these people waste your time! Other person told me I needed to buy same fountain for $2500. Then pay to haul away, level and set up. About 4200 for sane fountain. Sent pictures over phone to Moises. Told him the motor died. I already had Electrical checked. He gave me a honest estimate if that was all I needed. His company came, cut in back a new window so we could replace motor if it ever happened again. took apart and put in better motor, leveled and put back together for $310. Included a one year warranty. I am sure there are bigger or smaller jobs. Hire these guys. You won't be sorry you did. We just today, 5/17/22, had our new fountain installed. They did a good job on the installation, but they did not know how all of the pieces of the fountain went together, my wife just happened to catch them in time to correct their mistake. They did level everything as they should have, but!!! As for the electrical goes, this is where there is a big disconnect. When my wife discussed the cost of the installation with their office, the woman said they would either plug in the fountain pump or "Hard Wire" the pump. Upon completing the fountain installation, and then it came to the electrical, the installer said they could not wire the pump to the existing J box/emergency switch, their company won't allow them to do so, all they can do in plug in the pump into an existing outlet. They, Fountain Services, needs to be clear on the scope of work of what their capabilities are, if they can't do electrical then they need to specify that when they issue a quote. You expect the fountain to be complete upon installation and it wasn't! Now I have to hire an electrician to complete their electrical portion of the installation. This should have been specifically spelled out in their quote, verbal or written, so you know what to expect upon their completion of the installation! read more

We live in San Diego and couldn't find anyone locally to service it - after making probably a dozen phone calls. I finally contacted a distributor for the fountain brand and they suggested Fountain Services. I thought it a longshot because they're based about 100 miles north of San Diego in Fontana. When I called though, I learned that they make regular service calls to our area - batching together a number of jobs here on the same day. We scheduled less than 2 weeks out. They arrived promptly on the early side of their call window, and had the new pump installed along with a new hose, and also cleaned up the fountain - all within about 45". I bought this fountain through Fountain Services on Offer Up. As you can see the price tag is on the bottom left. That's exactly where the fountain leaks. After several phone calls they said they'd call me next week to arrange to have it repaired at $300! Nowhere in the ad did it say the fountain was sold as is. $300 to repair a fountain that was sold used but not broken is a lot of money.
