I love this place. I come here often for the great food and excellent service. Although the bar is on the smaller side, the food is absolutely terrific. read more

It being a Saturday night and as we were arriving at 730 we expected a wait. The nice young ladies who greeted us told us it would be about 20 minutes and entered our number into a system that would text us when our table was ready. We were shown to a very nicely appointed upstairs bar with comfortable sofas for a drink while we awaited our table. The ambiance was so comfortable, and company was good, so we barely noticed that 35 minutes had passed when another very nice woman came to apologize for what she called an "unreasonable wait," and insisted upon comping our drinks and any appetizers we would like while we waited. We ordered some nachos and a Brussels Sprouts appetizer. The Sprouts came almost instantly and are a huge reason to go back to The Foundry all by themselves; so good! After they were polished off we were shown to our table. We let the waitress know that we had ordered nachos upstairs, but that if they weren't in the process of coming out it was perfectly fine because the menu held options that put mere nachos to shame. Once again a very nice young lady who identified herself as a manager came to our table, apologized profusely for the nacho mix-up and let us know that our entire check for the night would be taken care of. Needless to say we were all unbelievably impressed by the staff at The Foundry. Yes, the wait was a little longer than the hostess had said, but it was Saturday night and we didn't have a reservation. Yes, the (free) nachos never made it to our table, but we barely missed them and quite honestly were glad at that point that they wouldn't take up precious stomach space reserved for our main courses! The staff were all over-the-top nice, accommodating, and very aware of and attentive to the quality of our experience at their restaurant. Had our check not been comped we would have been more than happy to pay for what was also exceptional food. The braised short ribs, chicken curry bowl, organic roasted chicken and house chopped salad were all truly delicious and each was served with well thought-out and delectable sides. Our experience at The Foundry was an A+, a 10 or at the very top of whatever other scale you choose. read more

Went here to celebrate my daughters birthday. My youngest son, who is 7, did not like any of the choices. My steak was delicious! You can get better food for better prices down the street at figs. The music is very unfit for the atmosphere, as there is loud rock music blasting throughout the building. read more

Visited the Foundry Kitchen and Tavern for the fifth time on Tuesday night. The food was superb as always! Appetizer, dinner, desert, &wine all were amazing!! (Best nachos EVER!) We sat outside on the patio which was lovely. Love the lights outside. There was also live music which was also wonderful, can't wait to go back! read more

Had a $100 GC to The Foundry that we tried to use last night. We were seated promptly but after 10 minutes we had to see any servers in the entire restaurant. We got up and left, walked down the road and paid $100 to eat Figs, which was awesome. read more

Went for drinks. The drink menu has some creative mixed drinks. Ordered nachos. They were very good. Could have used a little more ground beef. Loaded with cheese. read more

By far our favorite spot in the area!! Great food, amazing live music, and friendly staff! Highly recommended!

My boyfriend took me here for a night out and I was so pleased. The food was phenomenal and the live music was amazing. There is nothing like this in the area. Highly recommended!! read more

We had reservations for 9 the other night. The service was poor...a forgotten hors d'oeurve and lack of visits to our table for follow ups The lighting was so dark we had to use our cell phone flashlights to see the menus. The piped in music was so loud it was difficult to have a conversation with our guests. The presentation of the food was also lacking. A chicken dish with sauce served on a wooden bread board!? The chicken was also burned on the bottom. The beef steaks were grass fed but were tasteless. We also found it overly expensive and the portion sizes small. We most likely will not come back. read more

Excellent surprise; the food was superb. We got to sit upstairs in the small cozy lounge/private room area. It was comfortable and quiet so we could enjoy our own group. We split Nachos with vegetarian chili to start & they were so good & well made so they didn't turn into wet mess of sauce. I had the short ribs which were very, very good but the Mac and Cheese that came with them was even more delicious. We'll all be back again. read more

Delicious food, always busy and a very, very nice staff! ONE complaint ....... WHY is DUBRA the "house vodka" ... be very careful if you order a bloody mary or anything where you don't specify b/c you will end up with a huge headache :/ please fix this read more

So unimpressed with this place. I had high hopes from all the reviews & looking at the menu but was quickly disappointed. A group of 6 of us went for Sunday brunch & had reservations. They immediately had our table ready but service did not reach our table to take a drink order for almost 20 minuets. For the first half of our brunch we had one waitress who stated she doesnt work brunch & was cleary very overwhelmed, confused, and nervous. The second half another waitress took over who was much more informative & on top of us which we definitely appreciated. My main complaint was that during brunch hours they dont open their full bar. You are only allowed to order bloody marys/mimosas/beer which all of us were disappointed with. Our reservation was for 1pm, and in my opinion I believe if you are open for service, you should have your bar stocked. The drinks were weak & the food was....strange. I got the vibe they were trying to be "farm to table" but it was not up to par. The atmosphere is very folky & not a fun ambience. We all agreed to finish our meals & move onto the next bar. Will not be returning. read more

My first time... and last. Service was SLOW, at least for us, everyone around us received their food and left before we got served. it took 20 min to get a second cup of coffee. My Eggs were undercooked, the smoked duck breast was overly fatty. The waitress at one point came out ask asked us if we had received our food yet. (Can you not tell) They tried to make up for the slow delivery of our meal with a free desert, which took 20 mins to come out... really. The Food was not bad, and if you don't mind spending 3 hours at brunch then try the Foundry Kitchen. the coffee was good ... when it finally came out! read more

Went to the Foundry Kitchen and Tavern on a recommendation from friends and we were so glad we did. We went in this past Saturday and started with the fried honey goat cheese. It was awesome! My husband had the 24 hour short rib and I had the scallops casino style. I've eaten everywhere and there is definitely a skilled chef in the kitchen. Loved the live music too! Can't wait to go back. read more

I love the Foundry! The scallops are my favorite! The atmosphere is so comfortable. The waitstaff is always very attentive!

Sorry to give a bad review, but I think it's only fair to let people know that sometimes you go out, expecting a great dinner, and everything is so disappointing. My family and I went there on a Monday night to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary along with my son's Appointment to a special privilege in his full-time work. We got there at a 5:45 where we found only two people at the bar and we were the only table of four inside. It took a phenomenal amount of time just for someone to take our order, it took another 40 minutes to get the appetizer on the table and then another 45 minutes before the entrées came, Which were nothing more than burgers and sandwiches. My husband had to 10 made a soup and grilled cheese, how could you ruined that? Well the soup was pastey , thick and cold, and the grill cheese was already hard. I had a French dip sandwich with the bread was so dry it's soaked up the dip halfway through the sandwich and I was left with nothing but a dry sandwich. The food ordered by my son and his wife wasn't any better and They attributed all of this to a waitress calling in sick, really? Give that girl a huge raise if just calling in sick upsets there whole " apple cart" read more

I am giving this place 2 stars for the service. Our waitress was really friendly and accommodating. I am not sure how this place has such good ratings. The food was terrible... Honestly, our entree tasted like something you would get on an airplane or at a school cafeteria. We ordered a heirloom tomato salad to start... It was basically just regular cherry tomatoes with maybe one or two heirloom tomatoes interspersed with arugula and some pine nuts... It was really bland. Then we ordered the 24 hour short ribs with bacon Mac and cheese. The meat was covered in a really tart sauce, which at first tasting seemed good but after a while became overpowering and bad tasting. The meat itself was tender but had no flavor and resembled unseasoned pot roast. The Mac and cheese had no bacon and was awful... The pasta was mushy, the cheese sauce was really bland and runny. Again, it tasted like something you would get on an airplane or in a frozen dinner. Very disappointing considering it was $25 for this entree. Maybe they were having a bad night but I don't think my husband and I would give this place a second chance since it was that bad and overpriced. read more

Much to like about the foundry. There are many new/good places in the area, but the foundry is special. Start with the building. A gorgeous mid 19th century landmark on a river. Wow. The outdoor seating takes full advantage. The setup is very nice. Unique. The tables are rustic-ish, but it looks like they are being very nicely upgraded (I have been twice in the last few weeks and noticed this, good move!). The service team is very attentive. I have met the new owners in passing, they are very nice indeed. The bar is a beauty, and the beer and spirits choices are pretty unique and special. It compliments the restaurant, doesn't overwhelm it. Finally, the service and food. Both wonderful. The menu is diverse, we went fish and burgers, both done very nicely, delicious in our view, with a thoughtful, special presentation. Again a differentiator from other local places, which are nice, but not special. The foundry definitely is. Go. You should be very happy. read more
