I was in the CT area for a wedding and so happy I stumbled upon this amazing brunch spot. The warm apple cider was delicious; I had the taco breakfast bowl with all of the fixings ie. eggs, avocado, bacon, chives, hashbrowns, and this sauce that brought everything together. Our waiter had wonderful insight of the menu and made it hard to choose just one item so I had to purchase a meal to go. It was the honey mustard protein bowl and let's just say it almost didn't make it's way back to MA it was so good. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out. The aesthetics are beautiful and it overlooks the golf course.

Mexican breakfast bowl.

Food was excellent and prices were good. Staff is professional yet open. Just enough attention to keep the coffee topped off but not intrusive. View is great. Definitely plan to return.

Brunch House is such a hidden gem! The location is beautiful, it's right on a golf course, so you get peaceful views while dining, especially on the outdoor patio during the summer. The food was fantastic from start to finish. We had the steak and eggs, a crispy panini with golden onion rings, and the pancake tacos filled with fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries. For dessert, the crepe was massive and wrapped like a burrito, and it was absolutely worth saving room for. They also have a great selection of refreshing summer cocktails.

Even before stepping inside Brunch House 1850, my marvelous experience began. The drive, featuring charming views of the fall foliage and Silo Point Golf Course, created cozy anticipation. The restaurant's adorable entrance looked straight from a postcard, promising a charming meal. The space was warm and inviting, featuring multiple stone fireplaces glowing with warm flames. The decor was thoughtful and jolly, with October skeletons, farmhouse accents, neon signs, and various fun phrases. The vodka was vigorously chilled and strained into the martini glass before me. The glassware was ordinary and held a large pour. The even number of olives used to garnish were smaller but held their own in the beverage. The length and simplicity of the skewers left something to be desired. My brunch was stellar, and the cuisine was plated excitingly and polished. Each bite was excellent, thanks to the perfect layering of the pastrami's pepper and spice, the acidity of the sauerkraut, and the smooth texture of the creamy Russian dressing. I'll certainly be making a trip back soon to sample more of the brunch fare and cocktails. Read more on IG: themartinibible

Our new brunch spot, for sure! Not only a beautiful and clean restaurant, but incredible food and drinks. Bring your appetite or be prepared to share or take some of it home - the portions are huge! It can get busy, so I recommend reservations when you can. My husband and I aren't golfers, but we had a lovely view of the course while we ate.

Love the staff at this place.....very welcoming, and family oriented! The restaurant had elegant holiday decorations for a festive meal....Food was fabulous, the seasonings put a seasonal twist on a traditional meal....Definitely will be back, it's a must try for all....

Food was horrible quality!!!!! It's almost as if they buy it in Costco and just reheat it. It's sad because it's in a cute area.

It's that good. Food quality/price (value) rating 10. The atmosphere is classic family friendly diner. I stopped here after I just happened to pass by while headed to a friends house and decided I could eat some breakfast. I'm very happy that I did. The place was bustling on a Saturday morning and I was probably lucky to get a seat at the counter. By the time I had finished breakfast, there was a waiting line out the door which is always a good sign. The owner and Griddle Master, Peter, and his wife Stephanie, have operated this diner at this location for more than thirty years! I had the breakfast special of two eggs, HOMEMADE CORNED BEEF HASH (like striking gold), homefries, and bakery fresh rye toast - incredible! Probably the best breakfast I've had in years, seriously. The corned beef hash was properly crispy, as were the homefries, which rarely occurs at most diners even when requested. There were at least five people keeping the customers happy, and the staff and customers were all friendly and talkative. That is a bonus found only in small country towns like Southbury, a small New England postcard quality town right off Interstate 84 exit 15. If you're looking for a truly old time experience that is rare these days, run here as soon as you can. I guarantee that you won't be disappointed! I will be bringing the wife back very soon. Closed Mondays.

Pete, the chef, clearly knows his way around a grill, and the whole staff was incredibly friendly and personable -- the kind of place where you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. Great food, great people, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping in!

The food was very good, priced right, and proper portions. We shared the mild buffalo wings, extra crispy. The sauce was good and wings cooked well. The bleu cheese dip did not seem to be homemade but it did the job. My wife had a French onion soup which was very good, and the tots-chos. The tots were crispy and smothered in what we believe was a homemade cheese sauce, olives, jalapeños, pickled red onions, and fire roasted corn. It came with salsa, which in our opinion wasn't really needed. Sour cream may have been better but they were fine as is. I had the Tex-mex wrap with fire roasted corn which came with sidewinder fries. Everything was well seasoned and we brought home plenty of leftovers. The beer list was smaller but had a good selection of local crafts and some more well known brands. Our server, Jules, was very nice, attentive, and made good recommendations. Overall, would definitely come back for a low key dinner or to watch the game.
