So I went here to see. I am not the easiest to fit, so I didn't have a lot of hope for this, but I figured I would still try. I took a sample of what I was looking for. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly employee Wes, who then showed me 3 to 4 different options and suggested them based on his own taste but also what I had mentioned. It was great. I tried them on and some fit well but lacked some things I wanted and others didn't fit the way I wanted so no perfect match but here is why this place gets 5 stars while I was there I observed other customers in the store and West going above and beyond to offer advice on other things in the store and personal recommendations to the point customers even were saying "wow I really appreciate that information" " that means alot" ect He really showed a "I care about everyone" attitude top notch customer service! He even tried to find something for me, but unfortunately, there just wasn't anything that was there that matched, but we found something close. I just needed a different size, so he took my info and will be in touch when it comes in. I was very impressed with the customer service observed! If you are looking for leather, jocks, or fun underwear, this is the place to check out and the customer service at least if Wes is there is Amazing! You walk in and the place is full of stuff; People's boots, purses, luggage, leather briefcases, leather jackets, and much much more. I had a simple problem. I needed a pair of boots stretched. I have large feet. Sasquatch like. I brought in my Ariats that have been sitting in my closet for 3 years now. The owner is behind a counter piled up with jobs he is working on and equipment he uses to do his craft. He is brusque. "$45. 2 weeks" I think at first "That's a lot to stretch some boots" I go back. He says, brusquely "If they are still tight tell me where, toes, ankles, shaft/calves? I will stretch again" I tell him that I am leaving for work and that I am a flight attendant and I won't be back in town for a month, can I try them when I get back and let him know? He looks at me and nods. I finally get home and try the boots they fit great. So in this crazy economy is $45 a lot of money? To me it is, but to pay a craftsman for a craft that will soon be hard to find, it is well worth it. Bottom Line: my expensive boots have finally made it out of the closet thanks to Dr. Shoe! Extra points for honesty - I went in the other day with a large cheap piece of luggage that had the zipper broken on an outer pocket. He said it will cost you double the cost of a new suitcase to repair that because it would have to be done all by hand and I would have to charge for my time. Thank you!

My first item from here was given to me as a gift, a shirt that said "Are you high?" on it. Pretty funny if you know that they are located on High St. If you don't, it's still funny. Whenever I wear it out people always make comments about it, it's hilarious. Most recently I purchased an iridescent cropped puffer jacket for about $80 and I'm obsessed with it. I was legit just walking by on a Saturday morning and I saw it... then had to have it! Torso is described as a menswear boutique as they have a big selection of men's underwear and "swimwear" but as a female raver, this place is a jackpot for fun clothes and accessories for those late nights when I'm dancing my butt off. They have quirky glasses, masks, hats, super funky clothing, fun toys and knick knacks, and more. I've had the pleasure of visiting this store in person multiple times and he is always personable, welcoming, and kind. The store is a gorgeous homage to the artisan days where you can see endless high-quality, hand-crafted leather goods. It's truly a pleasure to see the work from a store like this! This year I was looking for a new belt to surprise my partner for his birthday. He stated that he wanted a full-grain leather belt, but I was unsure what that meant. Remembering the few times I visited this store, I called Dennis and he was happy to patiently walk through all of my questions on leather types, sizing, and engravement. I was also concerned that the order would not arrive on time as I was leaving the state soon and he made sure to get my order finished and sent within a day. Lastly, I cannot overstate how much my partner loved the belt, the quality, sizing, width, and finish were all extremely high quality and the price was so much more affordable than all those mass-produced leather goods sold by large fashion corporations (most of which are not quality leather). I fully trust that his belt will last and look lovely for many years to come, and I'm looking forward to picking up some new belts and other gifts for our family and friends!

I'm a sucker for anything made in high quality vegetable tanned leather. Dennis was great to talk to, and we made a connection through Virginia and the work he did for Colonial Williamsburg. We had a recliner reupholstered by Fortner. We were told that they couldn't guarantee the recliner…read moremechanics. They did a nice job on the reupholstery but there is one (cushion) spring that is not properly tied down such that you can feel it touching on your thigh or butt. It's only a matter of time before it will poke thorough the upholstery. They have told our interior designer, that recommended them, that they can't warranty the work since it is a recliner. Of course, the poor craftsmanship has nothing to do with it being a recliner. Now we have to pay someone else to properly complete the work. BTW, the reupholstery was over $2000!!!
