TL DR, "Ivan" was extremely rude and a sleazy salesman that endangers his clients. Do not buy the red Mazda Protege5 that is for sale (or rather any car that is for sale here) To my credibility, this is not the first Mazda Protoge5 that I have owned, I have done top to bottom maintenance on this kind of car and am not naive nor a novice to this vehicle. That being said, I will detail the pre-test drive issues I found with the car. For starters the glove box handle was broken. Just straight up missing. When I asked how do I open the glove box, "Ivan," said "here let me open it for you." He then proceeded to finger the broken glove box, prying at it to open, where he never got it open, and then just moved on. The roof rack trim is cracked, and on this kind of car this can result in water leaking into the cabin and causing mold to build up. Before the test drive I turned on the ac to test its functionality. The belt that drives the ac let out a loud squealing. I asked him "So whats up with that" and he remarked "its just because you just turned on the ac, it will go away." During my test drive I noticed that the seat belt light does not shut off despite all passengers wearing their seatbelts, I don't even begin to know why. Another problem I noticed is that the shifter linkage needs rebuilding, the shifter is "floppy" and does not return to neutral, you can literally throw it side to side and it will stay there. The two major problems with this car are ones that I consider dangers to the client. The clutch is almost gone in this car. The clutch is "all the way to the floor" meaning the diaphragm spring in said clutch is wearing out. I asked him when the clutch was replaced, he responded that he did not know, this means it is probably still the original 150k mile clutch. The most dangerous of them all is the brakes. I notice that when braking, all of the linkage and body of the car shakes, this means the rotors are warped or severely worn down. This is an EXTREME safety hazard. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. When I asked him when the brakes were last replaced he claimed that his shop had replaced them. I asked "the pads and rotors, or just the pads" he said "both." Intentionally lying and risking the safety of the client. What bothered me extremely is that when I asked to test drive the vehicle "Ivan" said "look man, I am busy, the price of 5000 is firm if you aren't going to pay full price don't even bother wasting my time" (The audacity of this dude I swear). I drove an hour to purchase the vehicle, and after being extremely mislead, this "Ivan" was not even willing to negotiate. Overall, in my experience with this "Ivan" and the Active Auto Group was not only disrespectful, but downright criminal. Do not even consider buying a car from here. As similar to the other individuals leaving reviews, I was blocked shortly after leaving his lot. This is in an attempt to prevent negative reviews on his Marketplace account that would hurt his pr. I know this "Ivan" will probably respond with some cookie cutter pr rebuttal trying to devalue or dismiss my review. That is because he only cares about making a quick buck at the expense of the safety of his client. Do not be mislead, do not buy a car, do not waste your time, do not risk your life. Also suspicious that on Yelp the name of this location is "Forza" instead of the actual name of "Active Auto Group." read more

Saw an ad on marketplace for a 1998 Honda Prelude and was interested, which then lead me to Active Auto Group (No longer are under Forza Motors) and Ivan was quick to respond. After discussing what day and time to meet, and over the course of waiting for Monday any updates or questions I had he would respond positively. Once I got to the dealership Ivan greeted me and we went to go see the Prelude. Looking around the lot from what I could tell Ivan took care of the vehicles he had, they were detailed from what I could tell and were very organized. When looking over the Prelude he let me look over everything, trunk, touching all the buttons, and there were some problems but just small things like the powered windows not working but I was purchasing a 20+ year car. After that we worked the final process out and now am currently waiting from confirmation from my bank and soon be able to pick it up! There's also a foosball table inside the store but I never got to use it. Ivan told me the store is family owned, and I would recommend purchasing your first vehicle, second, or third vehicle here because the service and communication with Ivan just can't be compared to regular brand dealerships better Update: The car had a check engine light come up but it was just minor like spark plugs and cables needing to be replaced. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! This place is the worst place to purchase a vehicle. I purchased a car back in January 2020 within 2 weeks I had to return back to them because my battery was not working. However that was just the beginning of many many issues in my vehicle. I encountered over $3000 in damages that I needed to repair within the first year of my ownership with that car. To say the least they paperwork was horrible. They upped my car price $2000, I traded in a vehicle was never listed on any of my documents, and lastly the warranty they gave cannot cover all the issues I encountered throughout the year of ownership with that vehicle. I sadly, because I wasted my money, I had to purchase a vehicle just 15 months after I purchased from them. I have definitely learned my lesson and they will definitely see me in court. They have a poor communication, I have contacted Aaron, and of course he has failed to return any of my texts. Save yourself the headache and do not buy a car from here! It was my first time getting a car from this place and it was an overall pleasant and easy experience. In January I left with a 2010 Audi A4 that was incredibly well kept. I never got his name, but the younger Asian man who test drove with me was very knowledgeable about the Audi which helped a lot since it was my first one, and he was very friendly. Z was amazing at helping us find a price that worked while not making us feel pressured to decide right away. All in all, the customer service exceeded my expectations and I left with a new beautiful car and a smile on my face. It seems at first that they only carry high end, but they carry a mix of a little of everything. This is definitely the first place I'll go to when I need another or if a friend is looking. Purchased a car 2/28/18 it was a 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR. I had already looked at 4 others that day and was exhausted having driven 130 miles to the 1st dealer then another 40 east here. The ad said the car had 47,000 miles and was for 27000. I called and spoke to somebody who said they could help me get it out the door for 28300 after hearing what I was approved for etc. In the ad the car had 6 spoke Volk G2's (which are extra) in a gun metal finish and an AEM intake with an airbox(you'll see why I'm stating this later in the review). I luckily did my research before purchasing one of these knowing their biggest flaw was transfer case. My fiancee and I get to the dealer and see they are washing the car so I immediately feel good about this dealer. I walk around the car and immediately notice the wheels are painted black....horribly. Whatever I can paint fairly well. After all they are a $3600 set of wheels. Then they pop the hood. I noticed a few aftermarket parts that I know are worth some good change. Then I see the intake and the lack of an airbox. I go inside and speak to Aaron. Who immediately comes off as professional and courteous and had a sense of humor that made me settle a little. He had his dogs there which my fiancee immediately adored since she worked in the animal field. I spoke to him said I'm preapproved etc. Then I asked to go on a test drive. I was denied that since I was only 20 at the time and insurance wouldn't allow it. I was frazzled since if I liked the car I was for sure going to purchase it. I let another employee test drive it while I sat and listened for certain noises I didn't want to hear. Car didn't feel that quick but I get like that in passenger seats so I didn't think much of it. This is where I got irritated, insanely. I noticed the mileage in the car. It was 74000, not 47000. Whatever I figured typo maybe they'll drop the price. The car had about 6000 in aftermarket parts that'd be great. I mention it to Aaron then show him the ad as he in is disbelief. He then says that it was a typo and he'd be insane to sell me the car at that price. My blood started to boil, but then I remembered I was saving money on the back end so to drop it. He then proceeded to yell at the guy (presumably who I spoke with on the phone) that he never changed the ad. As we went over the paperwork the price upped $600 to $28900. I didn't say anything as with his better than you attitude I knew it wouldn't get me anywhere. Driving the car home I start to notice the lovely smell of sulfur. For those that don't know that means the catalytic converter is overheating due to either age or a rich fuel event. I think to myself this is great, but it also explained the cars lack of power in my head. As a cat gets hot it gets extremely restrictive. Next day I punched it out to avoid any possible engine damage, fixed the sulfur smell. Not the low power. As I was under the car I noticed the oil pan was soaked in oil. Luckily being a mechanic I knew it was an extremely easy fix but also got me nervous. So I did a thorough inspection of the car. I noticed that it had larger injectors, which explained the cat smell. There was an aftermarket boost control solenoid that was hastily zip tied to the engine loom and not hooked up which explained the lack of power. There was no spare tire (threw my tools in the trunk and watched them fall a foot). After about a few days of owning the car I got this noise that sounded like a creaky floorboard in the right rear of the car. Which turned out to be the S-AWC pump. After doing some research I learned that you could bleed the pump. Which I did and that luckily fixed the issue. I also noticed there was 3 different brands of tires while at the dealer. But upon closer inspection one looked torn to hell, so I replaced all 4. Luckily I worked at a Firestone so I got the tires relatively cheap but still paid $500. I then had to buy an accessport to properly tune the vehicle as I didn't want to hook that solenoid up and then pop the engine. So I got the car running okay and I was starting to be happy with it, despite its minor quirks. Such as the shredded exhaust hangars so I get to hear the exhaust bang on the tow hooks. The missing trim panels on the front around the intercooler. I wasn't going to write this until this happened, the straw that broke the camels back if you will. I got the infamous death whine which is the indicator that your transfer case has gone out. Which is either $2500 to rebuild. Or $1000 to buy used. I specifically asked if they did the routine maintenance on the vehicle as they could have indicated about this. So I ordered a used one with slightly more miles for $1000. All said and done, they're like any used dealer. They have a lot of nice cars and a "professional" atmosphere to prevent you from getting nitty gritty into the car as you put some trust into the dealer. I expect a used car like this to need some things. Not be falling apart read more

My man's little Accord is still running strong at 320K miles but part of me has no faith on when this baby is going to break down on us. So, I spontaneously yelped up Forza to see what they got to offer and convinced my man to go with me. Upon arrival, my man and I tried to stay under the radar by browsing on our own since there was really no intention to buy yet? We definitely noticed Forza carried nicer/expensive cars since there were quite a few German cars like BMW, Audi and Mercedes? My heart began to feel like they must be aiming for customer that desired lux cars so probably not an ideal fit for us. Right when we were about to take off, one of their sales guy name Juan breezed right out to greet us? A tall Asian man that was very enthusiastic in trying to help us? Instead of beating around the bush and wasting everyone's time, I straight up expressed that I do not plan on buying anything today nor do I have the budget to. I'm really here to just browse, see what's available and where price point stands? Despite hearing this, he said that's absolutely fine with no disappointment and continued to question us on what models, price bracket was within our vision. Being very courteous and helpful he walked us to the back end of their LOT to show us some Japanese cars they carry and said they can actually help keep an eye out for the car we had in mind. At the end, I felt comfortable enough to give him my contact information and listed a couple models I like that he can probably help keep an eye open for if he sees them. All in all, I didn't make any purchase but was happy that the sales didn't try to whip out some pushy sales strategy or tap into our brain too much. I mentioned how I normally score the best deals off private sellers like Craigslist and they were very honest and insightful about the pro/cons when dealing with private sellers. I liked the fact that they were polite, helpful without being too extreme. I really dislike used car dealerships where the sales follow and preys on you like a hawk. I personally find that very uncomfortable and this dealership fortunately was nothing like it. It's great that they cared for potential future customer than simply scoring a sale the day of. My daughter found this car online, she saved up $1000 of her hard earn money for the down payment. I went in there with no price break, test drove it. Brake light comes on, he said he would have a Audi Specialist look at the car. I noticed the onsite mechanic(probably unlicensed) that was handy with cars, resetting & clearing the brake light. I took it too Audi $350 diagnostic check, looking at torn brake sensors w/ brake pads coming to a end. (got it fixed for another $440 bucks)After looking at my average credit, he tells me Wellsfargo Financial was financing my loan, double the APR on a other car car loan I have. He then put "ADD-ON"s now putting the car now at $6K more in ADD-ON's I don't need "carpet care", tire care, doesn't hand me a copy of my contract. He said, "let me process the paperwork with Wells Fargo". 2 weeks pass, I called Wells Fargo, they had NO information or account number regarding my car loan, called Aarron (LGBT diva attitude) thats standard protocol, call him when 1st payment was due, oh don't worry about it, haven't heard from Wells Fargo, Registration was due, called 2nd time, "oh, don't worry, the temp reg on the windshield if good enough!" 2nd payment was due, "oh, we are going to do a in-house "dealership" finance. Keep in mind, I haven't received any statement of invoice to send my car payment too. third payment was due 3 months LATER... get a call from "Aaron" very upset & mad!!! stating he hasn't received any car payment from me, "I don't pay my bills" comment!!!! and I was in Repo status!!!! DENIED ever mentioned in-house finance, I had a contractual obligation didn't want to work w/ people that didn't pay thier bills. PEOPLE! CONSUMERS! Forza Motors dealership needs to be EXPOSED! Aaron is a CON ARTIST. uses his "DIVA" attitude and trys to put the blame on you. Juan (the owner) "are in" the SCAM!!!! BAIT & SWITCH!!! El Monte Police Fraud Investigator Unit advised me, "97% of ALL used car dealerships up and down Valley Blvd for the exception of Penske Longo Toyota Lexus, Honda, are Fraud and Scam, all fronts to money laundry, Drug Cartels. Their there one day, and gone the next. 6 to 1 year in business. Law enforcement could only enforce laws, not auto loan contracts (they know that) turns into a "Civil Case". Horrible dealership went to go see a CTS V and drive 90 miles to see it , I asked Aron how many owners and he said one, I asked if they had the car fax and they said no just auto check which doesn't show the maintenance record, so I ran a car fax myself and found out 2 owners and I asked him if the car had a structural damage he said no, but indeed did show it had one on the carfax, so I decide to take a look anyway and when I arrived there I wasn't helped or greeted, they saw me looking at it and didn't acknowledge I was there, I had to walk inside to get someone's attention which it was Aron, asked to test drive it and he said "I don't have time I'm the only one here" but there was also another Asian salesmen. 1: what kind of salesmen doesn't have time for a customer ? 2: how you can you lie to my face like that when there was a another salesmen there 3: what kind of salesmen doesn't get up out there desk and introduce themselves like a man. The prices are very reasonable and always have what I have needed, everything from a Prius to a sedan and a mire luxury car. Worst experience ever!! Aaron is an asshole. My husband and I went down there to check out one of the Subaru model they had. The first red flag was when my husband went in their and asked if he could test drive it and AARON ask well do we plan on buying it today because we're short staff. That through me off a bit but my husband still want to test drive the car. Before the test drive Aaron told us to come in a signs some papers so he could give us an estimate. The entire time in his office he gave us attitude. I was so uncomfortable and wanted to leave but my husband still wanted to test drive it so we did. After the test drive we went back to the office to talk about the cost. This man disrespected my husband after my husband explain to him how much he was willing to pay a month. ( my husband and I are a young. We are both 21 and this is my husband's first time buying a car without his parents) so obviously we didn't know exactly what we were doing. Aaron was not helpful at all and he even stated " well goodbye, because I am unable to work with that". Aaron made me feel like my husband and I weren't potential customers. I felt disrespected because that is my man he the way he was talking to him was uncalled for. Aaron could've handle this situation professionally but he didn't and that why a cussed his rude ass out. And told him he need to learn how to talk to people. Hopefully in the future he learns how to give better customer service. read more
