I have been working with the staff at the bunker for a few years now, Dan set me up with a set of Taylormade P-79's. That was after he recommended I start out with a few lessons first. I just had my 14th lesson with Tom Z. and what a Difference it made. Drawing the ball fairly consistently with my driver is a new thing for me and I have been playing golf for over 30 years. Next step is to get fitted for a new driver with the only expectation that they will work hard to determine if it is the right time or not. Did an iron fitting today and Chad ran me through his robust proprietary method and my ballstriking went through the roof! My consistency and dispersion changed massively. The facility is clean, professional, fully equipped, and friendly. Chad and Dan are both gentlemen and make you feel very welcome and comfortable. Instructors and club fitters at forward golf in Oxnard I have made a miraculous change in my golf game taking me from a high handicap or down to single digits it didn't happen right away it took a lot of time I took a lot of work and I am lessons from The staff at Forward Golf have made a difference. Chad and his business partner (Dan) helped my son assessing his driver fit. Their assessment was honest and encouraged my son not to 'just' get a new driver but to improve critical aspects of his golf swing. Then suggested to return for another assessment in 2 months. Amazing place. I had an issue with a specific club and they did a little problem solving for me on their launch monitor. Long story short they saved me from ditching the club that just would not work and figured out the issue. These guys know what they're doing. Get fitted get your club specs checked. I decided to start playing Golf when my Boyfriend got me a set of clubs for Valentine's Day 2014. A co-worker recommended The Bunker. After my first consultation with Chad, I decided immediately to take lessons and I am so happy I did. I train with Chad weekly and my swing is now developing. He works with me on chipping, putting and swinging. He has a fun way explaining to me what to do and how to continue my practicing. I am enjoying the game and playing better and better each weekend. I have only good things to say about this place. I was fitted for irons 6-PW several years ago along with a 4 hybrid. Dan took the time to make sure I ended up with the right clubs for me. If you are looking for a place in Ventura, to test, or understand your swing, look no further!!! I contacted the The Bunker and told them that I want to test out these demo clubs and just see the various numbers. Chad basically watched, and reviewed all the numbers and even had me test one of his clubs, and based on his professional opinion my current clubs were working as they should!!! I have to say that I truly appreciate the honesty and truthfulness! There was never a sense of sales, just an willingness to help me make an inform decision. The Bunker really works. I am a senior golfer that the Bunker really helped. First a initial TPI estimate and a program set up. Chad is the best teacher around and I made huge improvements. Swing faults were corrected and now getting more solid contact and hitting the ball further. The metrics from the computer give a fine tuning on swing mechanics to work on. Golf Channel on HD TV's everywhere! The putting green is flat so I can focus on putting mechanics. There is a workout room for golf specific exercises with a TPI certified instructor and trainer (Titleist Performance Institute...Google it!) on site. Great place. State of the art driving range simulators. Climate control chipping and putting area. Friendly staff. I also had my grips changed there and they did an awesome job. The bunker has got to be the best indoor golf center in Ventura County! What I like is they didn't make a newbie like myself feel like I didn't know what I was doing, props to the professionalism of the staff! Nice clean environment is a plus too! I'm not sure what the last guy was talking about but this place is a great place to work on your game. I hate the rubber mats that are at all the local driving ranges an here they have an artificial hitting area with no rubber. It makes a real difference. Plus, they are PGA certified. The short game area is a also a nice place to practice. They also include golf specific fitness training. I'm trading in my gym membership and going here. read more

Wow, What a let down, not only does this place suck it's very very expensive. I went on a Saturday to give it a shot and ended up leaving in less than an hour. The staff has no idea what there doing, the lounge feels and is cheap. The repair service is way way below par. Just stay away, this place is a joke. Save your money, much rather travel around the street and practice at Olivas, at least there I can watch my ball flight instead of hearing "That sounded ok" Like i said this place is a joke, if you care about your clubs dont let these fools touch em, Not one of these people is certified to do any repair or give advice.Wow will never spend another dime there. read more

I just started a monthly membership with The Bunker, and I have been very pleased with the experience thus far. Unfortunately, I am not lucky enough to be able to figure out my golf swing on my own, and I still play a somewhat inconsistent golf game. Awesome! I went in there because the range at my local golf course was closed and I needed to get some practice in. The instructors were very friendly, and the indoor mats and artificial putting green were amazing! They also have a room on the side with every exercise equipment you can think of to improve your game. The golf simulators were very accurate and at end of my practice I even played a little round at Torrey pines :) I recommend this golf center for anyone who not only wants to learn to play but also elite players trying to improve! read more
