Got fitted by Master Fitter Kevin with 25 years of experience and works with nfl players such as Josh Allen and Jared Goff not to mention the countless PGA pros. So if they can trust him, who wouldn't. Kevin did an amazing job making this a fun and comfortable fitting all while dropping his vast knowledge when needed. He's definitely a people's person and takes care of his customers to the greatest extent. The complex here is also second to none especially in the area. I wouldn't hesitate if you're thinking about booking a club fitting. The best customer service, experience, and top notch facilities. read more

After starting golf 4 months ago and developing some bad habits, I sought training at a local golf facility near my apartment. Recommended by my brother. My experience has been transformative. Swing coach Louis corrected my swing and taught me golf basics, while recovery coach Sam improved my flexibility and strength. The staff is welcoming and supportive, creating an ideal learning environment. Thanks to their expert guidance, my game has significantly improved. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enhance their golf skills. read more

5 stars is not enough... I'd like to start by saying I have never publicly reviewed, good or bad, anything or anyone in my life. It's my feeling I guess that the universe generally rewards those who have something good to offer and punishes those who truly suck. All that being said, I do depend on reviews when choosing the places I spend my money so I guess it's time I finally contributed. This review is for UGP's West LA location. Specifically, I need to shout out my golf coach, Luis, and my trainer, Jerry, but everyone I've met at UGP has been very friendly and helpful. I am 37 and have been playing golf for about 7 years. I'm not a professional athlete and I'm not super wealthy but every minute I spent at UGP I was treated like it mattered that I was there. Luis worked tirelessly on my swing and would even come into a lesson saying things like, "I thought about your swing all weekend!" Jerry would sit in on my swing lessons just so he could better understand my swing and my body and use his observations to shape my training program. This is all in a day's work for the crew at UGP. I don't want to share my specific metrics of improvement here because that would be too subjective. All I can say is that I am a better golfer and a better person for joining this gym. In sports at any age, the most important metric in the end is confidence. That's why I really want to stress the atmosphere here over everything else. All the swing data in the world is meaningless if you leave wondering if you should have spent the money on range balls instead... When you're a young person, with so many things changing and happening in your life, it can be very hard to enjoy your sport and hard to improve if you are self-conscious or distracted by other people and things. In my experience, high school coaches, college coaches and parents, however well intended, can put a ton of pressure on their athletes which doesn't always lead to good outcomes. When you walk into UGP, you shed everything else in your life and it turns into this fun laboratory of golf. You're made to feel like everything and everyone in the building is there to figure out the puzzle of your swing. That's confidence. If you're older but don't want to believe that you have nothing left to prove. And you're tired of sitting on your butt watching the tour players or champions league players go at it when you could be out there too, this place treats you like your swing is just as important as the pros. Or if you are just a busy person looking for a place where you can improve your overall fitness at the same time as improving your game, this is the place for you. I've bought multiple packages of classes but since have moved out of the city, so regrettably I can't go as often as I was, but I wanted to give something back to such great place and great business. Thanks, fellas, for a great experience. Let me know if you open a spot in Ventura County! Again, this is specifically about Luis and Jerry and the rest of the guys at West LA but I can only imagine it's the same at all locations. These guys clearly live by a mission to treat everyone the same no matter their background or skill level. read more

My experience at UGP With Jubal. He is the best. Still speechless. Jubal: what brings you in today? Me: I haven't hit a fairway with my driver since 1999. I played last week at Pebble beach and had to quit after the first hole because I ducked hooked all my balls in the woods. Please help Jubal: okay. Let me see you hit a few. Me: (thwack ... boom.... curse word, curse word, slam driver into the ground). Do you have another ball? Jubal: I've never seen a person lose a ball in a golf simulator. I am glad you came. I can fix your driver yips. (Tinker tinker screw screw). Try this club. Aim a little left and swing along your feet. Me: okay. ( thwack ... boom ... curse word, curse word, slam driver into the ground). Jubal: Uhhhh?! What was wrong with that? You hit that 350 with a 2 yard fade. Me: That is my routine. After I hit driver, I turn around say the four letter word in both adverb and verb form and slam the club into the ground. Jubal: well, after you hit the shot, you don't have to do that anymore. Me: What's a fade? Jubal: It's when the ball starts left and gently goes right and hits the fairway. Me: Wow. I have never seen that before. What kind of shaft and club head is this? Jubal. The shaft is made out of unicorn hair and the club head is made out of adamantium. Me: Really? Jubal: here at ugp we have the latest tech to help you play better at affordable prices. Hit another one. Me: ( thwack ... boom ... curse word, curse word, slam driver into the ground). Jubal: You hit that 360 dead straight. You don't have to curse and slam the club into the ground anymore. Me: Oh. My bad I forgot. Wow. You fixed it. I am speechless. Jubal: You're welcome. I am glad I can help. Me: What's a fade again? Jubal: Have fun. I am happy you stopped by. Me: Wow. Thank you. read more

Evan Flock and the rest of the crew at UGP completely changed the way I look at strength, alignment, fitness, and my body in general. They use amazing technology along with their personal expertise to offer unmatched individual attention that really accesses the root of any physical inhibitions. For me, that was lower back, hip, and knee pain, which I had always looked at as a mystery stemming from the fact that I've been dancing all my life. Evan had me stand on a force plate to uncover my postural imbalances ( which were drastic! ) We used anatomy in motion and neurokinetic therapy to figure out how to bring me back to center through retraining my body's patterns of movement. By the time I had returned home, there was a personal email waiting for me outlining a detailed overview of what was discovered during my session, my "homework" until next session, and some inspiration (as if I wasn't feeling inspired enough!). Beyond the great experience, UGP is an extremely neat and thoughtfully designed facility with free parking. I will definitely be returning. read more

Would have never guess from the outside how impressive, well kept, clean, modern, and spacious it is inside. Came in here to get an assessment. I am a personal trainer so I have some knowledge about anatomy and biomechanics but what Evan thaught me today was almost enlightening. This guy is full of information and he knows how to apply it, customed to you. The staff was also very friendly and I'll definitely be coming back here again. If you are serious about golf, or wants the best for training, pain reduction, or just move better to improve the quality of your life I highly recommend to check this place out. read more

I've been fortunate enough to work with Chris Dunn (Golf Coach) and Nate Wilson (Fitness). I've seen not only my score improve, but I'm enjoying the game of golf more than ever. I work out regularly but the time with Nate has allowed me to focus on the muscles / movements necessary to have a good, consistent swing and minimize risk of injury. UGP really tailors the program to your fitness level and needs, providing a very customized approach. The golf sessions with Chris have been phenomenal. Not only does he help you with your swing, but spends a lot of time on the strategy and mental aspect of the game. This has been huge in getting my score down. We will walk through the rounds I've had and where to focus on for the next round. Beyond the great personnel, the facilities at UGP are world class and they really provide comprehensive package. If you're a golf addict like me or just want to get better (both in the game and fitness), I highly recommend giving these guys a try. read more

This is top notch facility that goes way beyond golf lessons. I had my 1st lesson Tuesday and a club fitting Thursday. Kevin did my club fitting. He gets 100 stars in my book. So knowledgeable, helpful and fun to be with. This facility has trackman, a full gym, trainers and more. It exceeded my expectations. I will be taking weekly golf and training gym sessions. I already see an improvement. These guys know their stuff and know how to teach. they make it fun while learning. Greatest place for Golf training I have ever been to. read more

What a wonderful oasis in the middle of the muck that is LA. I recently came here for a putter fitting with Matt Mora. Had a great experience and ultimately had him modify my putter (counterweighting) and took a couple of his set-up recommendations to help me roll it better. Small sample size (8 rounds), but I have averaged 32.5 putts since the fitting (with [2] 36-putt efforts) vs. 33.5 putts/round in 2016. I also gifted my friend a driver fitting with Matt and Matt didn't upsell him or anything - he just told him to come back later with a more consistent driver swing. The facilities are great and the experience is top notch (I've taken some of their customer experience protocols for my own business). Let's face it, we're all going to drop $ ($$ or $$$) on golf - whether it's Roger Dunn or eBay, save yourself the time and effort and just come here. read more

As a beginner getting into golf and never taken any type of golf lessons before I was blown away by UGP. Their facilities are state of the art and their approach to the game is second to none. Its a full service shop that isn't just for lessons, they also take into consideration your physical fitness. I have a history of shoulder issue and my first few sessions with Rian Chab taught me some great exercises that help keep that in check. My weekly lessons with Chris Dunn have been a blast. I have noticed a drastic improvement in my golf game. I look forward to my weekly lesson as its always very educational on the science behind golf as well as functional in receiving drills that I can work on. They use an app called Edufii to capture all of these drills so I can always pull them up on my phone when I'm at the range. If you are willing to put in the time and investment into your golf game there really is no better option then UGP. read more

Can't say enough about UGP. Most recently, Matt Mora (the master club fitter) helped me with a putter fitting as I was sick of all my 3-putts. The 1.5 hour process was really informative and almost like a putting lesson. All the while, Matt helped me find a custom putter head and shaft specific to what my eyes see as straight. I ended up being able to customize my Edel putter, which was very cool. Since, I've played about 5 round and I can immediately see a difference and so can my scorecard. Matt and the crew over at UGP no what they're doing. Looking fwd to continuing my lessons with Chris and the other coaching staff! read more

If you consider yourself a golfer (at any level) and you want to improve your game UGP is an absolute must go to place. I was fitted at PXG and thought I had the best fitted driver money could get me. Wow was I wrong. Kevin fitted me into a new driver that got me 12 additional 'carry' yards. It doesn't seem like a lot unless your an avid golfer then you'd understand. This place is amazing because they don't focus on one or two manufacturers. They have everything you could possibly imagine from putters to drivers. There is no push towards any particular manufacturer they simply access your swing and start there. The only way to explain this experience is like an adult Disneyland for golfers. Trust me go try it. You will thank me I promise. read more

These guys are easily among the best golf instructors you'll find in LA. After hitting a brick wall with my game and trying out various driving range pros around the city with significant improvement, a friend recommended that I check these guys out a little over a year ago, back before they moved into the new space. The first session I had was just a simple evaluation of my game and in that first hour I learned more about my swing than I had in the last 6 months of "lessons" at the driving range. I've been going to see them regularly ever since and in that time I've gone from a 10-12 handicap down to a 2. I've taken lessons from all of their instructors and these guys all know the golf swing inside and out, and even better, they all know how to use the technology to aid in their teaching. Trackman, Swing Catalyst, S.A.M Putting Lab, etc... They have it all and they know how to use it to make you a better golfer without ever getting lost in the data. Nowhere else in LA has the combination of teaching talent and technology that these guys have, so I highly recommend that anyone serious about getting better go check them out. read more

I have been taking golf lessons from various Pro's including GolfTec for about 6 years, but never played as well as I hoped to be. Than I started working with the guys at Urban Golf Performance and saw real improvement in my game. After taking a few months off, I came back to UGP in with one goal -- to break 100 at Pebble Beach. After working with Rory for two months, I not only shot 99 at Pebble Beach, but I won the President's Cup at my Club. I should say when I was working on swing changes, my scores went up. This happens to the Pros when they are implementing changes in their golf swing, but by staying with it and taking time to practice, I saw the changes in my swing take hold and my scores started to drop. read more

After playing golf for over 30 years, coming here was long overdue, and well worth the time. The assessment process was an eye-opening experience to say the least. They really show you every aspect of your stance & swing. The facility is extremely inviting and the staff is really focused on you, your game, and your health. It's not a "your swing is wrong, let me show you what you need to do..." but helping you understand the swing, the clubs, and your golf performance from a health perspective, swing perspective and what you view as success. They are great at explaining everything - and ensuring you are comfortable with the knowledge that they are sharing with you. Make no mistake, there's a lot you can learn here - but it's all on the big screen and easy to see. It's the only way to see what works and where you need improvement. You owe it to yourself to go here and let the professionals help you improve and enjoy your golfing experience. It made my next round of golf so much more fun and exciting. Whether you play all the time, a few times a month, or just at the company golf outing, if you own golf clubs, you should really invest some time in going here to let them show you your full potential. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Evan and the entire team at UGP. I only come in to train with him, but each and every one of the golf trainers know me by name and greet me every time I walk in. That personal touch goes a long way. I've been training with Evan for quite a while. Started with him when he was the top trainer at Equinox. Once he moved to UGP, I moved right with him, and even got my husband to train with him. I've had many trainers in the past, but Evan has been my favorite so far. He has so much knowledge about the structures and functions of the human body. And he is constantly improving on that knowledge by attending seminars and lectures teaching him about the latest findings and techniques. Before he begins a program with you, he will evaluate you literally from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head and come up with a plan that's custom tailored to both what you want and what your body needs. During training his entire focus is on you. He scrutinizes every movement, making sure each rep of each set is done in perfect form. And most important, he keeps it fun. The session goes by super fast (on most days!) and I always leave pouring sweat. He has definitely made a huge difference not only in my strength and physique, but also in my daily movements. I've become more aware of my body and what it can and can't do. Thanks Evan! read more

The staff at Urban Golf Performance (UGP) are all top notch. The dedicated team is laser focused on helping you improve not only your golf game, but also your overall health. I frequently rave about the staff and have recommended UGP to all of my friends. In addition, they know all of their clients by name and greet you every time you walk in. That level of sincerity and intimacy is unparalleled at any of the other big name workout gyms. In particular, I would like to give a shout out to my personal trainer - Evan Flock. I have had the pleasure of working out with Evan since he was the top trainer at Equinox Westwood, and transitioned over with him to UGP where he is now the Director of Fitness. Evan has been instrumental in helping me get my body back in shape. Evan is constantly working to improve his knowledge of fitness and he is 100% dedicated to being the best trainer so he can help you improve your life. He attends more conferences, gets more certifications, and researches nutrition more than anybody else I know. If you are looking to get in shape, improve your golf game, or just live a healthier life, I highly recommend checking out UGP and their facilities. I fully endorse them! P.S. The one caveat I will call out is that their parking lot is small so can get filled pretty quickly; however, there is ample street parking around the area. read more

I've been working with the team at UGP for the last year and have made incredible progress. I've not only watched my score improve, but I also have a deeper understanding of the game and swing mechanics, and subsequently am enjoying the game of golf more than ever. This improvement has largely been driven by my work with Chad Candelaria (Golf Coach), Chris Dunn (Golf Coach), and Matt Mora (Director of Club Fitting). Technical sessions with Chad have been phenomenal. He has helped me learn everything from the basics of a golf swing to how to shape different shots depending on the scenario. I truly understand the golf swing after my work with Chad, which has helped me grow my golf game. He is spectacular at explaining the golf swing, and building activities/sessions to train the proper technique. Beyond the great personnel, the facilities at UGP are world class and they really provide comprehensive package. I've worked with Matt in the fitting shop to create a phenomenal set of custom fitted irons, and have worked with the fitness team to help my mobility. Whether you're new to golf or you're an expert, I highly recommend giving these guys a try. read more

The experience, the guys, the facility, and all the services offered at UGP make the investment worth it. I came in with very little understanding in my swing and clubs better suited for someone 5 inches taller and a whole lot weaker. The club fitting and purchasing process was a breeze (and came in at roughly the same price or lower as other golf stores WITHOUT any kind of personalized fitting), and I love my new clubs. What I've learned about my swing has been revolutionary - It allows me to take a quick step back and adjust on the fly when I'm on the course so one bad shot doesn't have to end my round. Everyone is very nice, the facility is impeccable and only improving, and I always feel so welcomed by everyone. They also offer PT and golf-focused training services. I've had a couple sessions with Ryan to increase flexibility and show me some stretches to open my hips which leads to better rotation, more consistency, more distance. Getting better at golf is a long arduous process, but I believe that any player at any level can get better a whole lot faster under the tutelage of UGP. Thanks guys! read more

I've been at UGP for a few years and the coaches are awesome. The teachers use trackman and video analysis to help cure your swing faults. They definitely take more of a modern approach to their teaching but it's not super technical. My coach is Donny Lee and he's been awesome to work with. All the coaches there are very knowledgeable so you can't really go wrong. Facility itself is clean and nice. They also have a short game area and gym. read more

Urban Golf is by far first class, top-notch quality training. One of the many things that differentiate this place from others is their use of the most advanced technology. They offer an unmatched in depth assessment of the swing, witch includes fitness, mobility, strength and my entire body in general. I can not say enough great thing about this place, but can honestly say that I have never been to such an amazing golf training facility. Thank you to Ben, Ryan, Morgan and the entire Urban Golf staff for their continuous support and professionalism. I discovered Urban Golf through an internet search after deciding that I wanted to get fitted for a new set of irons. I knew it would be an investment into both my game and my bank account, so I took this very seriously. I am a 14/15 handicap player and I was still playing with the same irons I got when I began playing 30 years ago, age 56 now. After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to book an appointment. What an amazing experience! I wasn't fooling around with this idea of being fitted properly for clubs, and neither were the people there at Urban Golf. You'll know you stepped in the serious bucket the moment you walk in. Professional experience all the way. Even slightly intimidating I might say because you're not going to be able to hide any part of your attitude or swing from them, and they are analyzing you in many ways you never even thought of. As a result of this experience I can see why being properly fitted is the way to go if you're serious about this great game and why buying clubs on line or off the rack isn't going to come close to getting the best option into your hands and onto the fairways. Matt was the person at Urban Golf who helped me through all of this and I can't thank him enough. Really great way to go if your going to buy new clubs anyway. They take care of everything for you. Most importantly, they're going to get you the best price on whatever you decide to purchase. Trust me, I checked that part out too! Thank you Matt, thank you Urban Golf! read more

Urban Golf Performance is absolutely great at what they do. I went in for my first club fitting, and was blown away by the expertise and professionalism of the staff here. UGP cares about your development in all aspects of your game whether it be equipment, strength and conditioning, or coaching. They offer the latest technology and best coaches in the business to take your game to the next level (all player levels welcome). I worked with Matt Mora, the resident master club fitter, who was very patient with me through the entire fitting process. I definitely plan to revisit in the near future. Thanks UGP! read more

Here's the thing, you want to get better at golf and you just can't seem to break through certain barriers. Enter UGP and Kris Brennan. I have been put on a path to nothing but success because of Kris. I achieved all of last years goals by applying his teachings. Lowered my putts per round and dropped my handicap by 8 strokes. Next step is to get fit. If you want to be serious about getting better, start here. read more

I couldn't have asked for a better experience at UGP!!! I'd met with a few other coaches in the past - but none of them could clearly teach me how to fix my bad habits. Kris Brennan, my coach at UGP, changed my game in just a few short months. Kris focused on every aspect of my game - ball address, takeaway, backswing, club speed and path, face angle, follow through, body and head positron, core strength and balance, foot placement, weight transfer, hip rotation, grip and hand strength, wrist feel and rotation, etc, etc, etc!! I can't thank him enough for his advice, patience, attitude and encouragement. Kris' direction combined with all of UGP's state of the art teaching technology made for an unbeatable learning experience. My confidence has sky rocketed on both the driving range and out on the course. I can finally feel what I'm doing wrong and quickly make adjustments on the fly. Kris and the whole team at UGP are great and I'd give them more than 5 Stars if I could! Book some lessons with them now - I promise you'll become a better golfer! read more

I'd give UGP 4.5 stars for the full bag assessment, only because they had my wrong email address and never got the survey to fill out prior to my fitting today. I kinda thought there was something wrong when I didn't get an email notice about my upcoming fitting. For $350, everything should've been confirmed prior to today. At least a followup call if the email bounces or there's not response. Now let's get to the overall experience. I was fitted by Matt. Per other reviews you start with a physical assessment. After that, it got to the fun part - testing all types of shafts, iron and driver heads, etc. They really try to hone your clubs to your swing, the numbers, and more importantly how the club feels. I knew my #'s would be different from my previous driver fitting (different fitter and swing) back in '11. Boy was I shocked! I can't wait to hear back my final results and their recommendation. I would highly recommend UGP for those that are serious about their game and really understand their swing and clubs. The team/staff is friendly and very helpful. I'll post another review to see if it was all worth the experience, money and hype. read more

UGP is the Mortons of golf ladies and gentlemen. This place is LUXE. Professional yet kind staff. If you know about JDM equipment and how important it is to be properly fitted, this establishment will become your holy grail. Matt Mora: extremely knowledgeable. Straight to the point. Helpful and kind all at the same time. He puts so much detail into explaining WHY you should swing this way, not that way. Kevin Moore: another super nice guy! Very encouraging (I wasn't hitting the best of shots and he helped calm my nerves a bit) He's also very knowledgeable about all golf equipment and the swing. Anyone who hasn't pulled the trigger and come here, needs to. If you're a golfer, this is the place to be. There's a reason UGP has so many good reviews, and as soon as you walk in the door you'll know why. read more

Having a background in coaching myself, I really appreciate the high level of detail that UGP operates at. From the staff to the facility to the entire process, everything at UGP is world class. I had the chance to work with Cody Webber. He is an outstanding individual and coach who in a short period of time was able to enhance my understanding of the golf swing with specific tweaks based on my individual needs. His knowledge and passion for golf paired with his desire to help others made for an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend UGP and Cody! read more

Like you right now, I too went through and read all the amazing Yelp reviews UGP had received from their customers and wondered just how good it must be. After being a member here now for the last 4 months and having worked with almost everyone from their team in some way, I can honestly say it was the best decision I've ever made for my golf game. As a mid-low handicap golfer who had been out of the game for almost ten years, these guys made it feel like I'd never left. Every single person on the UGP team is there to help you. From the wonderful assistants at the front desk organizing my schedule, to the fitness and rehab staff, the fitting team which adjusted my set to suit my new swing, and of course the awesome golf coaches, everyone welcomes you with a smile each and every visit, along with the commitment to making your time their valuable. Even at 6am these guys are smiling and ready to improve your game. The complexity of a golf swing puts great demands on your body, and Rian and Leo of the UGP fitness team has provided me a wealth of knowledge and training to ensure my new-look swing is strong, stable and resistant to ongoing fatigue. The knowledge I gained in fitness has then led to great gains in my golf swing. Both my golf coaches and the fitness staff work together to tailor precise plans on how to improve my body's movement and swing technique. Ben provided a great in-depth analysis of my swing during my initial assessment and lessons, and since then Ryan No has been putting all the pieces together to make my golf swing awesome. His training style builds upon what I learnt in the previous session, and he provides great instructional videos and recordings of my lessons on the Edufii App immediately after every lesson. At this rate, I should have a swing like Adam Scott's in no time at all! So if you're after pro-level training without the requirement of being a pro yourself, this is your next place to check in to. They're expanding the whole complex right now with even more training facilities, and it's just going to be bigger and better. read more

UGP is a tremendous resource for any golfer who wants to improve their game. I had been thinking about taking lessons for a while because I just could not progress past a certain level. (I played a bit as a kid but not much since then until just a few years ago.) I was shooting in the mid-90's and having trouble making consistent contact. I finally found UGP and signed up for an assessment and a package of 10 lessons. Right from the start my game improved. All the instructors know their stuff and the state of the art technology makes it easy for them to show you how and why swing flaws are hurting your game. The staff is very friendly and super knowledgeable, and I've seen the results out on the course - my last two rounds were 87 and 84, and I'm now seriously thinking about breaking 80.... The facility is amazing! No matter your skill level, everyone is treated like a rock star at UGP! The indoor environment is super hi tech, very calming, extremely personalized and the music is great as well. Matt Mora is an excellent and very talented club fitter! Being Left Handed and shorter in stature I've always struggled with finding the right gear. Let me just say that the putter he fit for me is absolutely perfect for my stroke, and the irons complement my swing characteristics perfectly giving me the ultimate in confidence! UGP was a really fantastic experience. I've golfed occasionally throughout my adulthood but never took it very seriously. I wanted to get better and bought a pack of lessons. Absolutely would recommend for any skill level and will definitely be back. read more

Golf is hard, don't go it alone anymore. UGP is incredible value for anyone looking to seriously shred strokes. After a decade of lesson free golf and a slow slog down to a high single digit handicap, it was time to get realistic and address some major swing flaws. The UGP guys simply get it. No matter how well you think you can visualize your golf swing on the range/course, nothing compares to an hour session under the watchful eye of a well-trained scratch (of better) golfer. Can't recommend them enough. If you're up against a wall with your game....or even better, just getting started, UGP is the move. I've sent a handful of friends there, all ranging in skill level, and the praise is unanimous. read more

Beautiful facilities, and getting better. They're in the process of adding a new gym, and additional hitting bays that will make the already impressive Bought a lesson package and worked with Chris Dunn, who is a phenomenal coach. As previous reviewers have noted, the process begins with a physical evaluation, which allows them to assess your game and even pair you with the appropriate coach. UGP allows you the flexibility to improve your game with everything from a lesson or two to weekly coaching. Highly recommended! read more

After taking 8 very mediocre lessons with an "independent" instructor in west LA, and not being impressed with others I saw teaching, I became convinced that self-instruction and online research was best. Frustrated with a particular problem in my swing and some pain I had in my hands, I did some research and found out UGP is where people go when you want the very best, and want lessons, or high-end club fitting, or have a particular problem you are trying to fix. I am very impressed with UGP and have signed up for a series. They have a very scientific approach, very hands-on and knowledgeable experts, and great equipment. The facility is just top notch and their people are even better. For sure, you can find cheaper lessons out there, but in this case you get what you pay for and I find paying a small premium for very useful top-notch instruction that I enjoy is actually much better value than throwing away the money on instructors who are teaching you the wrong things and not really improving all aspects of your game. They even measure your physical limitations... This is a five stars place, that's clearly what they are going for and they achieve it. Although they do it all here, I especially recommend it if you're good and need a fitting, or if you have a "problem" or physical limitation and need someone really, really good to help you get around it. read more

Great great great experience getting fitted for new clubs! Kevin is the BEST!!! The two hours went by so quickly and we dialed in on a new set of irons. I learned a ton about the process and the clubs. read more
