MAR2026 Stopped by for dinner takeout. Easy to pick up from the counter, preparation was quick. Garlic spicy edamame, cucumber salad, wontons with chili oil, and beef tripe tossed noodles. The cucumber salad and wontons were both really just with chili oil. Although the flavor was good, both dishes were too much for one person given the makeup of them. I'd suggest getting one at a time considering. The edamame were overcooked and mushy, the sauce vinegar forward. Just didn't jive for me honestly. I really liked the beef tripe noodles though. The tripe were well cooked, seasoned well. I think the only thing I'd want different would be more of the sliced cucumber to balance the rest of the dish when mixed. I went through those in the first third I'd say. I supplemented the cucumber salad in for a poor sub. Flavors are definitely there though, would definitely want to check out other dishes on the menu to see what else sticks. read more

Anytime someone says let's grab some dumplings, I'm down! I've passed by this place a few times and was curious. Had an opportunity to try their food yesterday. First off, the customer service was great! I was greeted immediately and my server check up on me throughout my visit. As for the food, it was just okay. The chicken wing appetizer had a really good crunch but lacked flavor/seasoning compared to wings at other Chinese restaurants. The shrimp dumplings were decent when paired with some chili oil. The wonton noodle soup I didnt like at all. The broth was warm but not hot like you'd expect when you order soup. The wonton filling was a little on the sweeter side for me. The 2 pieces of bok choy were limp, not freshly blanched. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes this visit. I'll probably come back in the future and see if the rice platters are better. read more

Vacaville has a lot of dining options so we lucked out that the restaurant was quiet. Inside is a small dining area, nice and cozy. We placed our orders for Shrimp Dumplings, I had the Mongolian Beef. Rice is a separate order, and daughter had the Roast Duck Ramen. I LOVE dumplings and these did not fall short at all. They were quick bring us our food and so good, I sadly did not take enough photos but we order over 10 items and the best things we had were the pork steamed dumplings and the chicken stir fry noodles. The only thing I was not a fan of was the chili oil dumplings, they didn't have much flavor and they could have been spicier. Overall it was great and I would go again. Nice to see new asian restaurant popping up in Vacaville. This place reminds me of 88 bao bao but they are fairly new but decent for our first time here. Seems like they are still training some staff and they were friendly and helpful. Portions was decent not too little and not too much. Price point is where you expect now with average of $14-20/per person. We ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice plate which was enough to have leftover. The male spicy flavor rice noodles soup definitely has a kick of spicy and the server did warn us and told us the golden spicy soup was even spicer so we're glad we took it down a notch. Lmao! This was my first time trying FDH. Heard a lot of good feedback about this place and finally had a chance to see what they're all about. I ordered through DoorDash got crispy chicken that came with fried rice and a egg roll. I also got some BBQ Pork buns. The filling on the inside of the buns were very nice, though I thought the bun was a tad bit undercooked. The fried rice was decent, but felt a little bland in some bites. The crispy chicken was my favorite. They definitely didn't skimp on the crispy and the batter had a nice seasoning to it. They threw in some chili sauce on the side and it pairs well with the dish. Just wish maybe I could've gotten one more container of the sauce because it was nice. This place was amazing! It's good to finally have a local dumpling place without having to drive to the Bay Area. The place is fairly new but they have already got the hang of things it seems. The staff was super friendly and accommodated our large group right away. We were given menus, water and hot tea, which is always a plus! We ordered a bunch of food, not all pictures, but everything was really good! The wontons and garlic green beans were 10/10! The soup dumplings and fried rice were really good as well. We ordered the XLB, crispy spicy chicken and mala noodles with chicken. Everything was delicious and the XLB came out nice and juicy! The mala noodles had a great spiciness and the crispy chicken had the perfect numbing to spicy ratio. My few complaints are that they only have regular spoons for the XLB. They are not very soup-friendly especially once you bite into the dumpling. I highly suggest Chinese soup spoons to make these easier to eat. The dumplings were also more on the expensive side, but it beats driving all the way down to the Bay Area. read more

We came for the dumplings and they were good. Small.... but still tasty. A little underwhelming compared to all of the beautiful photos I saw on Facebook advertising this place, though. The restaurant is small and gives low-key fast food vibes. Service was pretty slow, but friendly. I prefer Yang Kee in Davis for dumplings. They are bigger, have more filling, and I prefer their sauces. I won't claim these were frozen, but I also wouldn't be surprised if I learned some were. My family and I were in the mood for some comfort Chinese food and stumbled across this new spot. Upon walking in the shop is small but cutely decorated but simple. The staff greatly us warmly. The only I feedback I have is that the windowsill needs to be dusted. But no feedback about the food. Everything was very good! We started with the spicy garlic edamame. We all really enjoyed this, the sauce was so good my mom ended up stealing some to put on her rice. While we waited for our food the waitress brought us complimentary cucumber salad. I'm not sure if it's because we were all starving, but we gobbled it right up and we all don't even like cucumbers. I live a city over and their food is the best around ^_^ absolutely love the wontons in chili oil, a must have for sure. Their cheese wontons and veggie egg rolls are also good. Arrived at Fortune Dumpling house at around 7PM on Saturday. The restaurant was packed and we put our name on the list. Took around 15 minutes to get seated. They're currently doing a soft opening, so they offered us free fountain drinks and a free cucumber salad appetizer. We liked everything we ordered, but here's my rankings - Pork Soup Dumplings - these XLB are legit. Tons of soup and I consider these as original flavor. Other restaurants make them sweet and I'm not a fan of that. Beef Roll - this dish looks about the same at every restaurant, but it varies quite a bit. The scallion pancake here is not super crispy and has a softer bite. Beef is very tender and the right amount of hoisin (my pet peeve is not enough sauce). Crisp Spicy Chicken - packed with numbing, spicy flavor - I tapped out after eating about a quarter of the dish to let my mouth recover. Pork and Leek Dumplings - wrappers were thick, but not too thick. Well seasoned fillings. Fried Dumplings - Some places call this dish Snowflake Dumplings. Yummy crispy bits. I wish these were wrapped like mini taquitos (open on the ends), but they were tasty nonetheless. Garlic Green Bean - standard fare. Good sized portion. Green beans still have a good crunch to them. Pan Fried Pork Buns - these come with only 4. Decent - main gripes are they're on the small side and the fried part is a bit tough. Service was great. Our server was very friendly. He recommended the Wonton with Chili Oil that we'll check out next time. We were sitting under a vent so it was freezing. I'd recommend bringing a jacket just in case. All in all, ecstatic to see this restaurant open in Vacaville. I hope they continue doing well, since I'd love to have them in our regular dining out rotation. read more

Pleasantly surprised! Their pork & leek dumplings was my fave dish and I have never seen sho mai that huge! We also demolished the beef stir fried noodles. They even gave us complementary sesame balls. Everything we had was so good and I can't wait to try more of their dishes. It came with a soy/sesame sauce that paired perfectly 4/5 Roast duck udon - the roast duck had great flavor and a was large. The udon noodles were delicious and the broth was silky smooth. 5/5 Wonton noodle soup - the ramen noodles were cooked well and the broth was very yummy too. Found this place through Yelp and it turned out to be across from where we were. It's a typical looking storefront Chinese restaurant. There are several tables, it's very clean and the staff is very friendly and polite. We ordered the pan fried pork dumplings, a vegetable fried rice and a crispy pork appetizer. It was all very tasty and fresh. The bathroom, despite only one unisex toilet , was very neat and clean. I'd rather go to Bao Bao. Kind of disappointing considering it had high reviews. We did take out for this order so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. The dim sum itself is quite small, good thing we ordered 2 of the siu mai. If you're expecting the chili wontons to be like din tai fung, you will be sorely disappointed because it's more of Szechuan style spice. The red bean buns were such a let down. Not only was it small but the bun was not airy and fluffy, it was more like a dense rice cake with barely any red bean-I would definitely skip that. Don't think I'll be coming again read more
