Decided to try out some dumplings and this place is definitely the place. Ordered the soup dumpling which was one of my favorite, chicken chow mein noodles, taro ube buns, and honey walnut shrimp. Everything was delicious.

This dumpling house is well liked in the area. The restaurant is clean and well appointed. The service is friendly and efficient. The food was tasty and flavorful. Their menu is a perfect size to find something you like and not be overwhelmed.

Anytime someone says let's grab some dumplings, I'm down! I've passed by this place a few times and was curious. Had an opportunity to try their food yesterday. First off, the customer service was great! I was greeted immediately and my server check up on me throughout my visit. As for the food, it was just okay. The chicken wing appetizer had a really good crunch but lacked flavor/seasoning compared to wings at other Chinese restaurants. The shrimp dumplings were decent when paired with some chili oil. The wonton noodle soup I didnt like at all. The broth was warm but not hot like you'd expect when you order soup. The wonton filling was a little on the sweeter side for me. The 2 pieces of bok choy were limp, not freshly blanched. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes this visit. I'll probably come back in the future and see if the rice platters are better.

We got the chili oil wontons, green onion pancake, chicken dumplings and the sesame chicken. chili oil wontons - 7/10, the wonton was nicely filled and had a good filling. the chili oil it was coated in was slightly watered down green onion pancake - 7.5/10, the pancake was crispy and paired well with the sauce chicken dumplings - 7/10, the filling was nicely filled and juicy; however, the wrapping was on the thicker side and could have been cooked a little longer. the sauce it came with was great and went well with dumplings sesame chicken - 8/10, the chicken was crispy and glazed lightly with the sesame sauce. really good dish Food was good for its price point! Service was decent, restaurant was clean and food came out fast. Overall, would come again!

Good food, Cozy interior [Vacaville CA] Daughter and I dined here one Saturday dinner time and the place was not busy at all. Vacaville has a lot of dining options so we lucked out that the restaurant was quiet. Inside is a small dining area, nice and cozy. We placed our orders for Shrimp Dumplings, I had the Mongolian Beef. Rice is a separate order, and daughter had the Roast Duck Ramen. Everything tasted delicious and prices were reasonable compared to many in the food business where many had to raise their prices to keep up with the economy. Plenty of parking in the Power Plaza shopping area. Very close to the Vacaville Outlets. Fantastic service. Would return! Review #4031

Omg the service is impeccable. Very friendly, welcoming and efficient. I was enthusiastically greeted. My order was taken and food delivered in a similar fashion. I ordered the shu mail and shrimp dumplings. It was my first time coming here as I had always gone to Bao Bao. Comparatively I like this place better. I will be returning.

I LOVE dumplings and these did not fall short at all. They were quick bring us our food and so good, I sadly did not take enough photos but we order over 10 items and the best things we had were the pork steamed dumplings and the chicken stir fry noodles. The only thing I was not a fan of was the chili oil dumplings, they didn't have much flavor and they could have been spicier. Overall it was great and I would go again. We went super late and the place was small but they made room for us and were super fast even when we ordered basically the whole menu close to closing.

I was cravings dumplings so bad and decided to give this place a try. I am so incredibly glad that I did. I ordered the shrimp dumplings and the pan fried pork dumplings. It was absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed the dipping sauce they provided as it had chunky garlic (I love me some garlic) and I added the chili oil on top of that. Customer service was excellent and it was a very cute and clean place. I will definitely be back to try more items!

Nice to see new asian restaurant popping up in Vacaville. This place reminds me of 88 bao bao but they are fairly new but decent for our first time here. Seems like they are still training some staff and they were friendly and helpful. Portions was decent not too little and not too much. Price point is where you expect now with average of $14-20/per person. We ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice plate which was enough to have leftover. The male spicy flavor rice noodles soup definitely has a kick of spicy and the server did warn us and told us the golden spicy soup was even spicer so we're glad we took it down a notch. Lmao! I had the wonton and egg noodle soup & added chili oil that was available at the table. The dumplings were great didn't fall apart and had good amount of meat stuffing inside. Minus when they were first seated us right next to another only party in the whole restaurant a little too close for comfort to be able to get in and out we were moved at a different table to have a bit more space.. everything was great!

This was my first time trying FDH. Heard a lot of good feedback about this place and finally had a chance to see what they're all about. I ordered through DoorDash got crispy chicken that came with fried rice and a egg roll. I also got some BBQ Pork buns. The filling on the inside of the buns were very nice, though I thought the bun was a tad bit undercooked. The fried rice was decent, but felt a little bland in some bites. The crispy chicken was my favorite. They definitely didn't skimp on the crispy and the batter had a nice seasoning to it. They threw in some chili sauce on the side and it pairs well with the dish. Just wish maybe I could've gotten one more container of the sauce because it was nice. There were some hits and misses, but would definitely go back for the crispy chicken as well as try some their other dishes.

Quiet little delicious place!! The service was amazing, we had a bit of everything and the staff was great and friendly. Our table looked like a buffet table. We will definitely be going back.

It was time for dinner and we were out of town so we all decided we wanted dumplings. We found this place and we're seated right away. Very friendly welcoming clean inside. Menu is simple yet has a lot of variety service was great and we probably ordered a little bit too much food some of it's not even pictured here. Prices are also very reasonable. The sesame chicken had some of the most amazing batter I've ever had, but it was a little bit too sweet, the honey walnut prawns were great, the shoe eye was great, sesame balls were also really nicely done, but they were pretty small, the wonton soup was excellent and a huge portion.

I had to come back to try their food and I am so happy that I did! This place is definitely a new favorite of mine. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered was truly a 10/10. The pricing is also very good. I cannot wait to come back and try more of their food. This place is a must try you will not be disappointed!

I also noticed a lot of customers coming in for pick-up orders, which says a lot about how popular this place is. The food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are generous--you definitely get plenty for your order. They specialize in dim sum and are especially known for their soup dumplings (xiao long bao), including the popular Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao. Other favorites include their pan-fried buns, BBQ pork buns, beef rolls, wontons in chili oil, and noodle dishes. Everything is flavorful and satisfying. The location is also super convenient--right across from HomeGoods. If you find yourself hungry after a hectic shopping trip (like I was!), BaoBao is definitely the place to go. Great food, friendly service, and a clean, welcoming environment make it a spot worth visiting. Doris S.

If there's no parking in front of Yang Kee you could park in the Safeway lot which is right next to the restaurant. I came with 2 other people on a Friday evening around 630pm. It was busy and bustling! We ended up waiting maybe 45 minutes for a table. There was nowhere to wait in the restaurant, but there were a couple of chairs. It was very hot outside so we didn't feel like waiting outside. Here's a tip! They have a Yelp check-in waitlist so if you have the Yelp app you can check in before you get to the restaurant. If I go here again, then I will check in from the Yelp app while I'm traveling there. The restaurant felt warm for a hot day outside. The AC was not on high enough. They also had a big fan going but it was still warm. The ambiance is casual. They don't have a large extensive menu, but after eating the food you can tell they place an emphasis on the quality of each dish. From the server, we learned that they have locations in Elk Grove and Roseville. You cannot eat in the Elk Grove restaurant and it is to go orders only. The server informed us that the Elk Grove menu is more extensive than the Davis one. Yang Kee dumpling is mainly known for their soup dumplings. They do have other Chinese dishes as well. We ordered the Yang Keep soup dumpling sampler which included two crab, two black truffle, two pork, and two shrimp loofah dumping flavors, the pan fried pork dumplings, seasonal vegetable dish, salt and pepper spare ribs, and pineapple buns. Even though it was busy and crowded right shortly after we ordered the food the food came out quickly in about 10 to 15 minutes! I tried the crab, black truffle, and shrimp, loofah dumplings. There was a lot of soup in the soup dumplings. The pan fried dumplings were also good but the exterior is a little bit hard to eat since it's tough. Also, when I bit into the exterior it seemed like the soup was hot to eat and I had to wait for it to cool. The soup dumplings were easier to eat and weren't as hot since the dough is thinner. My favorite was the black truffle and shrimp loofah. The black truffle had a very strong flavor of mushroom and had a unami taste. The shrimp loofah had big pieces of shrimp in it. There are two dipping sauces spicy chili and black vinegar/soy sauce for the dumplings. The seasonal vegetable dish came with broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and green beans. My friend did not want the carrot so we excluded the carrots from the dish. Usually it is garlic flavored but they said that we could add black bean sauce or make it spicy. We chose to add the black bean sauce. The dish still had an overall strong garlic flavor with a little bit of black bean sauce. I feel like there could've been more black bean sauce. The vegetables were very fresh. It was a simple dish and not strong in flavor but was delicious! The pork spareribs were fried and had a very crispy exterior and the pork was not dry and moist. There were onion and jalapeño toppings which added a lot of flavor to the pork. We finished all the dishes between the three of us. We also ordered the pineapple buns and they said they could bring it out at the end. The waitress said that we should order the pineapple buns when she was taking our order because sometimes they run out by the time people decide if they want to order since it was already the evening. An order comes with three buns. I love pineapple buns and they're my favorite at Asian bakeries and when I bit into it l there were small pieces of pineapple inside which was a surprise. The bun was very soft and melted in your mouth. Overall, the food is delicious and great quality and not overly salty with lots of flavor. Service was okay since it was very busy and it was warm inside and the AC wasn't cold enough but the excellent food made up for it! I will definitely come back and want to try the Elk Grove and Roseville locations. I looked at the menu for the Roseville location and the menu is larger than the Davis location.

Yang Kee in Roseville is a favorite, so we naturally wanted to enjoy the food at the Davis location. The service was close to nonexistent. Once we were seated, and given menus, it's obvious that the offerings at the Roseville location are far more extensive than they are at the Davis location. We decided to order the BBQ pork buns because it's always a go to for us, and we figured we'd peruse the menu while we were enjoying the buns. The buns arrived at the table, and they were immediately visibly noticeably different, but it wasn't until we tried them that we noticed that there's also a huge taste differential. There was very little filling compared to what we're used to. It was mostly bun, more than anything else. When the buns were placed on the table, there was no contact with us/the table to find out how we we're doing, about the food, etc. Very much felt like a churn and burn moment. Based on the lack of Customer Service, and poor food quality, we opted to not waste any more time or money, and we would find another place to dine at. Thankfully, we are closer to the Roseville location and will still continue to enjoy the food there. We definitely will not be back to this location

One here at least a handful of times per year. Their food is generally good and their portion size is large. This summer they are running a special (10% off your bill, plus additional 5% if paid in cash). For a Saturday evening, they did not have many diners, two other larger groups, a couple smaller tables of patrons and a couple few takeout orders. The main reason for coming here is for their Dim Sum items, but some items are not available after 2pm. They have a pretty extensive menu for non-dim sum items. Most of their food is pretty good including the dim sum items. Portion size is large, so there is usually leftovers to take home. Today, the service is lacking quite a bit. Had to wave down the server many times during our meal, to order, ask a couple times for water and missing napkins, water refill, didn't check if we needed more hot tea, boxes for left overs, getting the bill, etc. Another ding for them is that we were given and billed for 2 items (chicken buns and steamed long beans) that we Did Not Order. I didn't not complain about it because we were fine eating the extra food, but that was annoying! Overall dining experience was 3/5 stars. Food was a solid 4/5 stars. Service was 2.5/5 stars. Their black bean spare rib with rice noodles isn't bad either but could be a bit more flavorful and seasoned more; most of the time it was bland. As far as drinks, I recommend their Hong Kong Tea (iced) and Thai tea. Both are sweetened perfectly and pairs nicely after each bite. I can't wait to come back again!

It was pretty heavily battered and not too seasoned, but it wasn't bad. I think there is probably better calamari elsewhere. The dumplings were amazing though! Both came out piping hot. The fried ones had a nice crispy exterior and were super flavorful and juicy. The kimchi ones definitely had a kick, but were also juicy and delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed all of them and would recommend both to anyone in the mood for dumplings. The place itself has good seating options both inside and outside! I would highly recommend enjoying a meal outside on the patio on a nice weather day :)

I hate to say it because the workers are very friendly and I love hearing people speak Canto when I'm homesick. Very casual ambiance, might have a wait to be seated but they take a reasonable amount of time to get your food out after ordering. Have a few vegetarian options as well. It is conviently downtown unlike Yang Kee, but I still dont come back to here. I'm glad they've found their audience and seem to be doing well, though.

It's a smallish place, seats less than 40 I think, unless there a hidden room I didn't see. The decor feels like you stepped back to the late 80s. The food was excellent, I was not expecting it. We ordered soup and a couple of different dim sum from their menu. I was kinda expecting some microwaved stuff. To my surprised, it was freshly steamed. Food was great and I learned the owner was a chef in a dim sum restaurant in the south bay before and makes it all himself. I can't rate any of the other things on the menu, haven't tried it. But it does look like your classic American Chinese foods (sweet & sour, broccoli beef, fried rice, fried noodles). They are very nice and we will be back to try some other stuff.

The food arrived lukewarm and lacked freshness (I could've just went to a fast food joint), which was very disappointing. Overall, the quality has noticeably declined, and we will not be returning.

My only minor complaint is that everything came out separately. The green beans arrived about 5-7 minutes before the orange chicken, and the white rice came out after that, so I ended up eating quite a few green beans while waiting for the rest of my meal! That said, everything tasted great and was clearly made fresh. The person who served me was really nice, and the restaurant itself was cool and comfortable, which was especially appreciated on such a hot day. Overall, I had a great experience, enjoyed my meal, and I'm glad I decided to come back.

The meat in the pork bun was so little that I was chewing on dough the first few bites. The bun was pan fried to really crispy though. I expected a bit juice from the meat but it was just a dry bun. We also ordered the steamed vegetable and meat dumpling-they were mediocre and again the filling was tiny. I didn't taste much vegetables in them. I really liked the garlicky sauce on the table. I was a bit disappointed with the food and I remembered the soup dumplings that my friends ordered for take out were good, so I guess maybe I ordered the wrong dish. The staff was really friendly!

Even for the ones I didn't eat until towards the end of the meal, there was still a good amount of soup inside that didn't get absorbed by the meat or wrap. You order at a tablet, located at each table, for dine in orders. You can also specify if you want certain items to go, which was perfect because we were eating some things there and taking some items to family. We ordered the following for there: Pork XLB, Shrimp Pork Shaomai, Garlic Green Beans, and Chocolate XLB. The following was ordered to go: Wonton Soup, Pork Bun & BBQ Pork Bun. It's not a huge space, most of the tables are on the left side of the restaurant. A large portion is the food prep / behind the counter area. I had the milk tea to drink. It was fine, nothing special, but I hadn't had one in a while so I enjoyed it with my meal. I also thought the Chocolate XLB was interesting. It was melted/gooey chocolate inside the skin/wrap. It was a nice finish to the meal. I think most of the items were more a 4 for me, but since I loved the XLB so much, it's a 5 rating.
