Well... I had an interesting thing that happened here at the spot…read more First it's just a small shop across from Maxine's just south of the traffic circle. Let's just say there were some things that happened to my car that were not happening before I pulled into the car lot. They obviously did something to cause something wrong but immediately when I told the guy it wasn't doing that before I got here.. he said OK will look at it and will fix the problem. He said if we did something they would get fixed. Everything worked out so I am a happy customer. I did have to come back a couple days later to actually get my inspection done on my car. I had two tires put on that I brought to them and air pressure was wrong so again I had to come back for that as well... But for some reason I will still say I like this place they may need to get some guys with a little more experience in the shop but they are quick to fix a mistake and very kind about it. Not to mention the guy in the front (I should have gotten his name) was very nice and friendly and had all the laughs. I will go back to this place to have my other tire put on as well... Maybe even the inspection.

Great Staff (2 stars), Good Prices (1 star)…read more I visited the Take 5 Oil Change in Benbrook this past Monday, and I want to start by giving big praise to the team, especially Axel and the technician in training. Both of them were working hard, efficiently, and maintaining strong safety standards throughout the entire service. I also truly appreciate seeing a company hiring and supporting women in this field--she did a GREAT job, and it was clear she was putting in real effort. That said, while the staff experience was excellent, I have concerns about the process and practices used. Instead of draining the oil from the bottom of the engine, they use a suction method--feeding a thin hose into the engine and extracting the oil from the top. Personally, I'm not fully confident that this method removes all the oil compared to a traditional drain. Even more concerning, during this visit, the hose actually got stuck inside my engine. Axel and the lady worked hard for about 15-25 minutes to remove it, and thankfully they managed--but I left with a serious concern about whether anything may have been left behind or if any damage could have occurred. This was my second visit, and I also noticed that the pricing is very fixed--both times I paid exactly the same labor amount. On my first visit, I was also convinced to replace the coolant ("blue liquid") with theirs ("yellow liquid") at about half the dealership price. While that sounded like a good deal at the time, I'm still not fully confident about the long-term quality or the claim that it lasts for three years. Overall, I want to be clear: The staff is GREAT-- both of my visits they were professional, hardworking, and respectful. The prices are fair and transparent. But the service method and process raise concerns, especially when speed seems to be prioritized over thoroughness. The "stay in your car, quick service" model is convenient, but fast service doesn't always mean better service--just like waiting 2-5 hours at a dealership doesn't always guarantee quality either. I truly appreciate the effort from Axel and the lady--they did everything they could--but I hope the company takes a closer look at their procedures to ensure both safety and quality are fully aligned.

I called yesterday to ask about installing a Timbren suspension system that bolts to the frame…read moreright above the rear axle of my Silverado. It was kind of a hurry up deal since I was picking up a travel trailer on Friday (09/30/22). Kevin said he would look at it first thing if I would meet him at 7:30am on Thursday. He looked at it, asked for my keys and pulled the truck onto the rack. I sat down in the waiting area still not sure if they would be able to complete the job. I had already spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to do it myself. Popped the top of my soft drink and started to peruse the interwebs. Kevin walked in and handed me a pair of bolts that were not needed (long and short supplied). He looked at the cashier and said "half an hour" and walked back into the shop. Went to the cashier to pay and sitting on the counter were my truck keys. What now I thought. Paid the bill and went to sit down and the cashier said it was ready. I thought to myself ready for what? Turned around and the truck was parked by the door. Ready to go. To say I was flabbergasted would be a huge understatement. Done in no more than 20 minutes. Bill was in the mid-fifty dollar range. I had previously called 4Wheel Parts and they quoted me $175 and it couldn't be scheduled until the following week. This is the third time I've been to BCC. Won't be the last. The service is unbelievable. Friendly folks willing to help a decrepit old man when they could've easily said no (given the number of vehicles in their bays). Thanks to everyone there from an old fart who thought he could do it himself.
