Brought my car in for an oil change and the staff was great. It was easy to schedule an appointment online and they got the job done within a few hours. I would highly recommend these guys! read more

The reviews for this place are excellent and so I decided to take my Tacoma to them to get some work done. The truck is fairly old so, among several other things, they quoted new shocks and strut assemblies. After getting the truck back and driving a few days back and forth to work I noticed that it always had a pronounced lean where the passenger side of the vehicle was riding several inches higher than the driver's side. After calling to confirm, Phil stated that they had done an alignment and had even verified the ride height/level. The truck was definitely leaning though so something was not right, I took it to the Toyota dealership and they showed me the issue. Fort Worth Auto Garage had installed the wrong shock and strut assemblies on one side of the vehicle. I don't believe Fort Worth Auto Garage actually did an alignment or a ride height check, because it surely would have been noticed that the incorrect parts had been installed on one side of the truck. That being said, once I confronted Phil with this information he did agree to install the correct parts so eventually it was fixed. Fort Worth Auto Garage do have reasonable prices, however they seem to be a bit sloppy with their work and they do not seem to pay close attention to details, such as part numbers. read more

It's honestly hard these days to find a trustworthy auto repair shop -- or a trustworthy business in general. That's why I'm so grateful to have found Fort Worth Auto Garage. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. The team was professional, honest, and took the time to clearly explain the work that needed to be done. There were no surprises, no pressure, and no unnecessary upselling -- just straightforward, quality service. The work was completed quickly, and the pricing was more than fair for the level of care and expertise they provide. When you find a place you can truly trust with your vehicle, you make sure your family and friends know about it -- and that's exactly how I feel about Fort Worth Auto Garage. Spoke on the phone with a nice man who told me to bring my car by this morning to have someone look at it. No details were explained. Just said they would take a look. When I got there two workers were telling me completely different information, and trying to tell me I was told this on the phone. When I was not. General communication between all the workers and customers would be greatly appreciated. Taking our services elsewhere. read more

I needed my turbo charger replaced and after getting it diagnosed at Midas I was quoted an asinine amount. I looked around for another auto shop that had good reviews and rating and discovered Fort Worth Auto Garage. I got in contact with them and received a much more reasonable quote from Phil. I was able to get the car to them the next day and within 2 days they had it fixed and it ended up being less than the amount he originally quoted. The customer service was unmatched, the pricing was reasonable, and the time frame was highly commendable. This auto shop is a bit farther than I want from me but you can bet your butt I am going to make sure the next time I need service I come to them. They communicated with me through every step and explained the costs. Stop searching and go with them you won't regret it. read more

Top notch service, people, and work. Took husbands truck with check engine light to a different place and they said the engine had to be replaced for $12k. Took it to Ben and Phil and they were confident it could be fixed, for $4000 the truck was back to running great. Took my car then in for a full service right after. Glad to have found a solid mechanic who we can trust. read more

Got a second opinion from Fort Worth auto garage and only my battery was bad not my alternator! Phil honored my battery warranty and fixed everything quickly!! I will be back and always recommend them for being honest to their customers! Midas is taking advantage of people. I took my car to these guys for the first time last July (2021) when my A/C bought the farm. They had to replace the condenser, compressor, and evaporator expansion valve. Everything was great. Then my A/C stopped cooling about 6 weeks again. I took it back to them this past Monday. The compressor had gone bad. They replaced it and the condenser under warranty without any fuss and had my car back to me on Wednesday. I didn't have to spend a dime! Dan and Adam have been nothing but friendly and fast. I really appreciate their service and will be taking my car to them for any future repairs! read more

Mechanic Saviors! Best mechanics in Dallas/Fort Worth. In July 2023, someone tried to steal my vehicle. I tried to have serviced at a dealership, being told that was the only place capable of fixing the issue. Needless to say, I had continuous problems up til last week that depleted my savings and almost left me homeless. Long story short, I found Ben and Phil. They not only located the real issue, they are professional, straight forward, and unwilling to compromise their integrity and reputation just to make an extra buck. As a women, who is ignorant to the field of mechanics; I was terrified after being lied to so many times about what was wrong with my car. Ben and Phil went above and beyond to help me feel like I could trust them with my vehicle and my finances. I actually paid less than what was quoted and they aired up my tires which I didn't even ask them to do. I will honestly and genuinely will never go to another mechanic as I have been to several regarding this issue. It is extremely important to have this type of business relationship with someone who has the ability to make such a huge impact on your life. I will only recommend this shop to anyone I know and that should say ALOT! Thank you both for taking care of me. I know that took a lot of patience considering how weary I had become. I am now able to resume my normal life again. read more

Great customer service and very knowledgeable with every question I had about changing my brake pads and rotors.

I brought my car to Fort Worth Auto Garage because my car was shaking. They evaluated the car and found out my transmission was gone. They found another transmission for me and installed it in just a couple of days. The price quoted was reasonable. This is a great place for friendly people, up front prices and quick service. My car feel like a new car. Good quality work. Thank you Fort Worth Auto Garage. read more

Took them over a month to get my car back, they kept blaming me that they were short staffed. They kept telling me the car is almost ready just so I would give them more time that was week one. I went in, no appointment, to scan a sudden ABS light that came on 100mi away on the highway the day prior. On my way into this shop my front passenger side wheel dislodged due to a completely shedded bearing. I limped it into this shop and Ben was able to accommodate me on the spot. He had my front end as good as new in about 3hrs with time for me to take my pickup truck out of town and back again. No issues before, during nor after my trip. Being active military. I've been everywhere. This is a trustworthy and reliable place. I interacted with two people. Great people. I'm hesitant to leave such a great review because I'll be there more often and don't really want to wait for your vehicle to get fixed before having my need met. read more

I don't understand the negative reviews. The transmission went out on my van and I had estimates of $3,500 to repair. Working with Ben, I got a warantied used transmission and had it installed $1,500 out the door. It lasted me the next 3 years until I got rid of the van. I have gone back several other times and have always had good results. I highly recommend. read more

Love this shop I am so mad I did not find them sooner. Absolutely love Phil he is super cool he has helped me with my car so much. Also needed my speaker fixed again the dealership quoted $800 and told me they would have to do so much work to repair, phil charged me under $100 and completed it in less than 30 mins. Ben is as honest and fair as you can get these days. Very likeable and dependable mechanic who knows what he's doing and does a great job. Always guarantees his work. He will also evaluate other vehicle issues and recommend what he believes is the best long term care solution for your vehicle. He can basically handle any job, I just suggest calling first to make sure he can get it in and back to you as quickly as possible. He is very communicative throughout the entire process and will also answer any other questions you have. This place is busy because of his reputation and his customer base is very loyal. Prices are very competitive but I found this business to be most reasonable. You can also call ahead for pricing or leave it with him for an exact price in a timely manner. I trust my 3 family vehicles with him and have thoroughly enjoyed his work here and will again in the future. You're in good hands. read more

Great place to have your car worked on. Ben was friendly and informative and took care of my 2004 Monte Carlo. I dropped it off late Saturday and it was finished by Wednesday. Maintenance items were fixed quickly and correctly: New plugs/wires, all engine mounts, wiper reservoir screw, front tie rods and wheel bearings, and a fuel line connector. He let me know the tires needed to be replaced and once that was done it now rides glassy smooth. I have found my new mechanic for Fort Worth. Labor pricing will save you a lot compared to a dealership. read more

My A/C compressor went out on my 2010 Honda Civic so I requested a quote on Yelp. Benjamin wrote back right away, got me in the next day and had everything done in less than 24 hours. The cost was also way less than I expected. I've already recommended him to others. It's been almost two months and my A/C is working better than when my car was new. I won't go anywhere else. Call them, they are lifesavers and so responsive and easy to work with. read more

Ben was very accommodating and understanding with my personal schedule. He got my car in quick and had it fixed within a few hours. Seriously, The best price around for brakes and rotors. This guy is the biggest hack in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I would not let this guy work on my bicycle. He has no idea what he's doing. He had a minimum wage intern do the work. This crap about he doesn't mark up parts is nonsense he jacks up the labor and then doesn't "mark up the parts you have no idea whether he's marking up the parts or not this is just a silly scam. He worked on my car and butchered it, parts were falling off for it for the next year. I could've died. read more

Called (Ben I Think) he drove all the way to Arlington from Fort Worth to pick up my car for repair. He does tend to take a bit to return calls but totally stands behind his work. Honest and dependable mechanics are some of the rarest creatures on the planet. Ben at Ft Worth Auto is that, and more! After wrestling with our (former) Ford dealer, and other mechanics, I discovered Ben through Craigslist. Our Ford Explorer needed a new engine. Ben's professionalism was evident at each phase of the process. His patient feedback, his commitment to quality, his caring for his customers - they've never wavered. Case in point; The Explorer wouldn't start. Without hesitation he came out to our home, troubleshot the problem to a faulty key, and contacted his favorite locksmith to take care of the issue. He did this free of charge. My flabber was ghasted. He has my profound gratitude - and my loyalty. Also, from one veteran to another - he is passionate about serving his fellow veterans. Spread the word that there IS an honest and competent mechanic in Fort Worth! read more

Let me tell you! One my greatest fears is dealing with auto mechanics, it is a matter of trust both do only the required work and do it well for a great price. i needed my timing belt changed and the water pump as well as the spark plugs replaced. I got over 10 bids, Ben Gave me a bid that was almost half what the others were. I was skeptical so I had a conversation with him and checked him out. He had a small but organized operation, he was established and I felt good about taking a chance on a new mechanic. He did all the work as advertised and on time and under budget. I was so pleased I gave him a tip. I recommend Ben to anyone that wants a trustworthy competent mechanic. read more

I searched far and wide to find a place to put in a lift kit on my truck that would not scam me out of hundreds of dollars for a relatively simple task. I would recommend to any friend or family member. read more
