Probably the single-handed worst experience I've ever had with a car repair shop. I took my wife's van in to get a low oil light fixed they said it was probably the lift the oil lift pump and that it shouldn't cost that much so I said cool I got about 1500 bucks over a month later and $4,500 later I got my wife's car back but only because they just remove and replace parts until they fix whatever is broken I don't think they actually diagnosed anything I think they just throw things on if that doesn't work we're going to charge you way more and just keep adding more and more stuff to your bill until a wife that has cancer and can barely work a day a week and a husband who's taking care of the entire family has to take out multiple loans to pay for you know $5,000 worth of work that they couldn't diagnose for weeks. I do not recommend Benbrook automotive I do not recommend them because they're s***** on the phone and they act like you're a problem when you call. You want to find out what's going on with your car good luck because these assholes don't call back they don't give you updates they don't tell you where we're at with pricing they just tell you okay five grand come pick up your car I would have just spent five grand on a new car. TLDR: not fast, lied about part availability. Speed is definitely not a word I would use to describe this shop. They were able to diagnose the issue quickly but when it came to fixing it... it was here for a week and they still hadn't fixed it. They were trying to find a part through their network, which I can respect, but were failing to do so. When I asked if they could just get a brand new part, they said they didn't make them anymore. One google search yielded a lot of results for a new PCM. Called a new shop, they said they found a brand new part and could reprogram the PCM in a very timely manner. read more

I called yesterday to ask about installing a Timbren suspension system that bolts to the frame right above the rear axle of my Silverado. It was kind of a hurry up deal since I was picking up a travel trailer on Friday (09/30/22). Kevin said he would look at it first thing if I would meet him at 7:30am on Thursday. He looked at it, asked for my keys and pulled the truck onto the rack. I sat down in the waiting area still not sure if they would be able to complete the job. I had already spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to do it myself. Popped the top of my soft drink and started to peruse the interwebs. Kevin walked in and handed me a pair of bolts that were not needed (long and short supplied). He looked at the cashier and said "half an hour" and walked back into the shop. Went to the cashier to pay and sitting on the counter were my truck keys. What now I thought. Paid the bill and went to sit down and the cashier said it was ready. I thought to myself ready for what? Turned around and the truck was parked by the door. Ready to go. To say I was flabbergasted would be a huge understatement. Done in no more than 20 minutes. Bill was in the mid-fifty dollar range. I had previously called 4Wheel Parts and they quoted me $175 and it couldn't be scheduled until the following week. This is the third time I've been to BCC. Won't be the last. The service is unbelievable. Friendly folks willing to help a decrepit old man when they could've easily said no (given the number of vehicles in their bays). They quickly found the problem and had the repair completed the next day. I was treated fairly and I thought the repair bill was reasonable. This was my second visit to their shop. The first time I brought it in for a brake check and they told me they were good for another few thousand miles and didn't charge me anything.
