He made sure that everyone had food and warmth and continuously salted and shoveled the walkways. He kept us updated on the storm and the conditions of the road and kept spirits high!! The bathrooms were always clean and in great shape. Thank you Ethan for making a bad situation into one we will remember for a while (positively)! :)

The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. We initially had booked a suite and it was fantastic to have all that extra space. After we checked out, we tried heading home east on I80, but the road was closed indefinitely, so after lunch, we reluctantly decided to return to the hotel for a room. The front desk staff was great, let us check back in well before regular checking hours, and even apologized that our original room wasn't available anymore. Which was fine by us. The road finally reopened later that evening, so we headed back out around 9pm, and again, staff was very friendly and let us know, we'd still have access to the room until midnight if we needed to come back. Thankfully that wasn't necessary. I do wish they had extended breakfast hours on Sundays but otherwise we had a great stay.

Their apple pie bar with vanilla ice cream for dessert was delightful. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly, and helpful. The server's were pleasant and attentive, and the seating was comfortable and nostalgic. There is quite a bit of history in the Elk Mountain Hotel. Definitely worth the trip. The hotel is on the bank of the Medicine Bow River, not too far from the base of Elk Mountain. We stayed the evening in our RV in one of the hotel's five dry camping "Harvest Hosts" spots, so did not experience the hotel's guest rooms.
