The staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel was clean and looks like it has been remodeled since I've stayed here last. That was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and well laid out. I'll definitely stay here again! read more

After choosing different hotels for a while, we ended up returning to this Hampton Inn. They've definitely made some changes to make it much more pleasant! The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. We initially had booked a suite and it was fantastic to have all that extra space. After we checked out, we tried heading home east on I80, but the road was closed indefinitely, so after lunch, we reluctantly decided to return to the hotel for a room. The front desk staff was great, let us check back in well before regular checking hours, and even apologized that our original room wasn't available anymore. Which was fine by us. The road finally reopened later that evening, so we headed back out around 9pm, and again, staff was very friendly and let us know, we'd still have access to the room until midnight if we needed to come back. Thankfully that wasn't necessary. I do wish they had extended breakfast hours on Sundays but otherwise we had a great stay. read more

Stayed here for a few days while visiting my in-laws. The room and bathroom were spacious and nice. I liked the open area so my toddler had room to play. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Gym and pool were very nice. read more

I was surprised the ice machine was down on our floor. My digital check in had me on the 1st floor but when i got to the hotel i was on the 3rd floor. The pool is down and has been down for a while they offer you to go to the holiday inn to swim. The dryer broke. Positives the breakfast tasted good but was the smallest I've seen at a Hampton. read more

Room 216 had a chemical smell like bug spray. Kept me up. Woke up with a headache. Sinuses have burned all day. Other than feeling poisoned, the hotel was clean and breakfast was good. 2nd time I've had an issue with pest control at Hampden Inn. Last time was Ogalala NE. Pest control guy was spraying the lobby and breakfast area. Asked a mother nursing to get up so he could spray where she was sitting. I'm so tired of the bug spray while guests are present. They need to figure out appropriate times to do that and time to air out rooms. Inconsiderate and dangerous. read more

We where here for about 4 days while our camper was being worked on. The room we had was nice... a/c has issues at night. The breakfast area need work. Orange juice machine is nasty. Nothing was cleaned after each morning service. I did speak to someone about the issues. Hope they will be taking care of these issues. Day shift girls are nice but need to wear company issued shirts not there regular cloths. Night shift was also nice. Sanitation in the breakfast area is an issue. read more

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Rawlins, WY Feb 15, 2026. I encountered bed bugs or something that bit me all over my back. I didn't notice this until later in the day after check out but had itchy welts all over my back. I did notice with web based research that a person complained about bed bugs at this location in December 2025. I entered a complaint that was handled by Hilton Corporate escalation department, claim #93933183. They said the Rawlins hotel had a pest control company come in to find no problem. Hampton Inn locally won't offer a solution and Hilton Corporate won't accommodate any resolution. This has been swept under the rug so to speak. I have welts on my back to prove this. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL NOR STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I have been a business traveler for 15 years and have never encountered bed bugs and have never had a corporate entity treat me like this. Thank you Hampton and Hilton! I will explore other options. read more

I cannot believe that this place has anything but a one star! I'd give it a negative! We have been brand loyal for 20+ years and that ends with our stay here. There is barely a dribble of water pressure due to a heavily hard water clogged shower head. There was nasty black coming out of the pipes. The walls are paper thin and have people roaming around all hours of the night. They are in the middle of remodeling a very worn out hotel. The lobby coffee was lukecold when we arrived. And the price was $230 per night! So unimpressed! read more

They were able to accommodate us at the last minute and were clean and right off the freeway. The cost was reasonable and honestly a good deal. read more

Got to the room and toilet paper was gone. They couldn't bring it so had to go get it. Thankfully I noticed the lack of TP before sitting down. No TV remote in room. They brought one, but the battery was low. Ice machine on our floor didn't work. Had to go to another floor. Furniture was old and battered. Not up to Hampton Inn standards we're accustomed to. Haven't even seen the breakfast yet. And, front desk person not friendly or helpful. read more

I had been traveling for 10 hrs. All the hotels in Rawlings was the only one available. The lobby was nice it didn't smell, the room was OK. Walls very thin . I got into my room turned the TV on and got things ready for some much needed rest. It was 8ish. Was checking out the room and getting ready to chill a bit , when the kids yelling running down the halls, doors slaming, the room next door turning the water on and off 2 women saying Wonder how long " this one will last". Drilling and pounding. It was 9pm. I dont scare easily but this place was creepy. I texted my husband and told him what was going on and that i wasnt comfortable there. I told him i was creeped out and wanted to leave. I had been there about 2 hours. I told my husband I probably wouldnt get my $178.00 back, he said to leave. I cald him so when i left he would hear . As i was leaving the man who checed me in was in the dinning room with the ladies i believe were in the room next door. When i told him i was leaving he asked why. I told him what the women said through the wall and the women laughed. I said it was noisy and people come to rest. I said this is a scam. I went to the desk to see if they were going to refund for the room( i was there about two hours) at the desk there was a elderly man trying to get a discount or something and the man told him no. I asked if i was getting any of my money back and he so no, its a scam. Obviously he heaard me talking to the manager. I told yes i believe they are scamming people who come there. I told the elderly gentleman that he should cut and run. I have never had a worse partial stay in all my travels and stays in hotels. read more

very pricey and just an ok room. Breakfast was better than the Hampton at Elko Nevada. Thought being a member of the hotel chain meant something other than two free bottle waters at check in. I could have gotten a better rate at Trivago for the same hotel. lesson learned. read more

A large group of us convened here for the purpose of a mountain goodbye to our beloved Aunt/sister/friend/mother and matriarch of our family. We were gathered in the lobby and we were loud. Hailey very discreetly prepared a conference room for us and graciously invited us to celebrate our relative's life with no restrictions. She made sure we had chairs, tables, and lots of room for little ones to run. It was an amazing time of fellowship and all because Hailey chose to help rather than hush! The rooms and buildings were clean and comfortable. Also VERY dog friendly. Wonderful stay; wonderful memories. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our move to Denver. They were one of the only pet friendly hotels we could find in the area. We arrived in the evening and it was freezing cold outside! Check in was smooth however they did not honor our request for a first floor room so we ended up on the 3rd floor. Kind of a hassle with a dog and cat in tow but thankfully there were elevators. We got to our room and we had a king size bed which was great. The room was pretty standard size for a hotel. The room seemed a bit outdated and the mini fridge was not working and we needed it to store our pet's food. Otherwise the free continental breakfast was good with lots of options including a waffle iron. Not a bad place to stay in while passing through for one night. But long term stays may be a bit rough. read more

I got a two queen bed room and the place looked like a suite. The room was so big and the bed was very comfortable. The amenities included a salt water pool and hot tub, laundry room ($1.75 for washer and $1.50 for dryer,) a fitness center, and much more. The staff at the hotel was very nice and caring. This is one of the best stays i had. read more

Having made a reservation I arrived at about 4:30pm. There was no one at the desk and no one answered the buzzer. I walked the halls and noted that the rooms were not made up or cleaned of trash. I found a worker. He informed me that the Resident Owner/ Manager was either in the gym or their apartment behind the desk. There was no sign of any person in the gym. I rang the bell and knocked on the door. No one answered. I waited in the lobby for over an hour. No one came around. Finally I rang the apartment's bell again and a young boy came out. He said his Mother was in the shower so she must have been in the entire time. Finally two cars pulled up. One was the Father/Owner and in the other car was new customers. The owner checked them in ahead of me. When I complained that I had been waiting over an hour and a half at that point he called his wife out. She called me a liar because she was only in the apartment less than a half hour. The disagreement continued for a minute until she again said I was lying. So I left. read more

Arrived at 545. Room not ready and after 8 hours on the road, it was very disappointing at the least. No apology or alternatives offered. Review for room 305 Pros: 1. Appears clean but I didn't take a black light to it 2. Tv large and many channels Cons: 1. Air Conditioning does NOT work! I do not tolerate heat and it's been set to Cool, On, 60 degrees for an hour and it still says 71 degrees, the same temp it was when I walked in an hour ago. There is no air circulation, feels like I'm back in Florida 2. The sink has water pressure, the shower does not. 3. The bathroom light doesn't work. 4. Paid over $200 for this room, I would have done better staying in my vehicle and showering at a truck stop I expect. I called the front desk to double check I was working the air con settings correctly, he said I was. I alerted him to the issues, but I don't expect it to be fixed as he didn't ask my room number. read more

Fantastic experience while traveling during covid. The hotel was very clean and sanitized. Breakfast was either handed to you or taken to go. Everyone was extremely accommodating and polite. 5 stars for Maddie & Victor! I'll begin by agreeing with other reviews in that road trippin' can land you in some pretty sketchy places. Been there! Typically I am accustomed to 5-star resorts so I approach road trip hotel stays with a very discriminating approach. I am a woman and safety is priority. I found this hotel to be spotless, professional, courteous, accommodating, very comfortable, and safe. Maddie & Victor went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast. Do yourself a favor- it's worth the extra money to stay here. Thanks guys! read more

All of the staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. Our room was not ready at check in but the gentleman at the front desk offered us water and said we could start unloading our luggage if we would like. After that, Brad, who turned out to be the owner, was very friendly and helpful in many ways. He opened the pool and was concerned whether the amount of people in the pool made us comfortable. He helped us get a roll away bed and in the morning was there to get it out of the room. He offered suggestions for places to eat. He was genuine and appreciated the guests choosing Hampton Inn. The hotel was clean from the lobby, to the pool to the room. Breakfast had a lot of options and was no longer self service but the operation moved quickly. As a pit stop on our way to Salt Lake City, we appreciated the hospitality. read more

It would be difficult to tell the difference between this room and the one you can get at motel 6 for $68 except the one at this dump will cost you a minimum of $223. Stay anywhere and everywhere else if you want to save yourself a lot of money and even more disappointment. Hilton has identified their less is more methodology. They figure you won't mind spending a lot more for less of a room. This hotel is wonderful. I've stayed there three times and will stay there again when I go through Wyoming. Check-in is always super easy, they have warm homemade cookies for us and dog treats for the doggos. The rooms have always been very clean. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are very nice and have great water pressure. The sink and bathtub drain as you would hope. Breakfast is really good and comes with your hotel stay. When traveling back-and-forth to Colorado this is my favorite hotel of all of them that we stay in. Don't hesitate to book a room at the Hampton Inn in Rawlins, Wyoming. read more

Roadtrippin' could land you in some pretty unpleasant hotel stays for the night, which is why I always jump at the chance to stay at Hampton Inns - even if they cost a little more than the rest of the hotels in town. I always find this to be a good choice, since they offer free breakfast & Wi-Fi and their rooms are always nice. This particular Hampton Inn, in beautiful, cosmopolitan Rawlins is a treat. The man who checked us in, Nathan, was extremely helpful and welcoming. He recommended "the best restaurant in town" and reassured us that we were over-dressed (in our work-out clothes). The room we walked in to was basically a mini-suite. We were extremely surprised and pleased with the room, which made the price not sting as much. We expected the usual hotel setup -- a bed facing a tv against the wall with a side table on and a bathroom with an outside. But the room also came with a small fridge, a couch a coffee table and a desk big enough for two people! Possibly the size of a decent studio in Chicago, if not bigger. This location offers a pool and fitness room, which is one of the best I've ever seen in a chain hotel. Most of the equipment was Precor and in pretty good shape. They also had workout mats, free weights, medicine balls and a stability ball - all more than I could ever ask for in a hotel fitness room. Also, free breakfast with the little make-your-own waffle station. read more

On the way to visit our son in Cody we stopped here and stayed the night. The little touches around the hotel were very nice. The cookies by the elevator, having soy milk at breakfast, etc. What a great staff! The front desk ladies were wonderful, the breakfast ladies were awesome. The rooms were very clean. We even got to meet the owner. What a personable guy. Enjoyed our conversation and appreciated the time he spent with us. read more

This hotel was an oasis for us. We had a late start in our travel and by the time we arrived it was past midnight but they held our reservation for us. We stayed on the third floor in a Huge "spacious" and very comfortable room. There was seating and did I say space? So much space. Well made hotel!! The tub was a solidly made metal and porcelain tub and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioner kept the room nice and cool and it was already cool for us when we arrived. We did not eat the breakfast so I cannot comment on that but everything else was very nice. The decor was warm and inviting. Like a real home. I have been going to all the hotels with that modern minimalist look and mod light fixtures that I have forgotten the warm inviting home like decor until now. Browns and golds greeted me and still cool white on the bed. We will look for more Hampton Inn's in the future because this one was amazing!! read more

Exceptional is how I would describe our stay. We have stayed in several area hotels during our family trips. This is our first trip during Covid-19 restrictions. Our room was impeccably clean. When you walk into the room it just smelled clean and fresh. Linens, bed and pillows were fresh, clean and comfortable. Furniture, upholstery, and all appointments were clean and well maintained. And they happily and readily accept you and your dogs--no attitude, no deposits which was truly lovely. There's a pool, too. Room to park your truck or trailer. Places to walk your dog safely, easily and comfortably. Close to the intestate so its easy to get off and on Close to restaurants and supermarkets. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Great breakfast bar. But they go above and beyond with cleanliness which we really appreciated. We will be back the next time we are in Rawlins. Easy 5 stars all around. read more

Have I mentioned that I love Hampton Inns? This one certainly keeps me lovin' them. It's the same comfort & friendliness (not to mention, extensive breakfast options!) that I love. The rooms are really comfortable, and mine also had a mini-fridge and microwave, which was awesome. My only complaint (same with another one) is that the pillows are all enormous - I really need something much smaller so I don't get such a kink in my neck! I was really planning to at least dunk my feet in the hot tub during my stay, but I was so tired that I zonked out early. Some day! I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area. read more

Chose this over Holiday Inn because they were offering a slightly better deal even though it says they're more expensive on yelp. Glad we picked it! Came in and it was even less than the online price and then when the nice front office gal saw that my husband and I were traveling with my son and I'm pregnant she upgraded us to the king suite! During my cross country adventure I came across this hotel. There were a couple others across the street and I almost stayed somewhere else but listened to my gut on certain red flags. I ended up here at the Hampton Inn and was impressed by the service and cleanliness. However, what impressed me the most was their pool and their hot tub. Both were in working condition and the pool was actually warm! I feel like that never happens. It was enjoyable for my daughter and I after a long days of travel. I would definitely stay here again. Really nice and all the bacon you can eat for breakfast.. need I say more? The drink menu at the bar is really restrictive and I really don't know why. Having stayed in a 'fair share' of questionable hotels, I don't like taking a chance when I'm on the road with my family. I can't recall ever having a bad experience in a Hampton Inn, so I opted for this in Rawlins. I (we) was not disappointed. The check-in went quickly and upon arriving at our room we were happy this lived up to other Hamptons. The beds are very comfortable, and the room and bathroom is exceptionally clean. There is also a pool, hot tub and a small fitness room on the premises. All kept very clean. read more
