This sweet quaint motel saved us from sleeping in our car after driving for 13 hours . Every other decent motel was booked solid. Very nice and understanding staff -! Our very reasonably priced room was clean , well lit , larger than most motel rooms and very welcoming. And it had plenty of amenities including a Full -size very clean refrigerator with an ice cube tray in the freezer , a nice-sized microwave, coffee and coffee-maker, air conditioner, excellent WiFi ,roomy dressers, and even a comfy lazyboy style armchair. We had one queen and one king bed - both were clean and also very comfortable. We would highly recommend! Stopped here on a road trip, and I'm so pleased! For many reasons. Beginning with the price, low enough my friend and I got separate rooms, and the room was spotless, and I mean spotless! Not even a dust bunny could be found. This family owned motel used hotel quality linens on the very comfy bed. As well as fluffy soft towels. Shampoo and soap are provided as well and the water is hot. A small coffee maker. A refrigerator. A desk and tv. Everything one could need. It's not luxury at all, but it felt like I stepped back in time. Before the Holiday Inns took over. All my money went to a nice family and that feels good. I would stay here again and again. I hope everyone gives this lovely place a try. read more

The high ratings must be misleading. Okay, so the staff are nice. Or maybe people want to endorse a hotel with bible quotes on every wall. But the room was not at all comfortable! There is no comfortable place to sit. Can't even sit up in bed because there are these weird shelves on the wall behind the bed that stick out at about neck/head level. The room had an odor. There is no sleeping in because of road noise and the curtains don't block the light. I think that the room was furnished with items purchased at garage sales (no, seriously). Yes, it was inexpensive. I think I'd pay the extra $ and get a good night's sleep. read more

Booked this location a few months in advance. Mainly because of the parking right in front of the rooms. Parking lot is a bit wonky- and thank goodness hubby's always kind enough to park my motorcycle when it come to loose spotchy gravel/ uneven surfaces for me. When I made the reservations (about 3 months prior)- I mentioned we would be riding our motorcycles from San Diego, Ca. We did receive a text while en route to inquire if we were still staying. Then a follow up voicemail was left while en route again. Love how they reach out! We had the double bed. Spacious w/ desktop, 2 chairs, drawer top... Room was clean, refreshing, did the job for our one night stay. Literally walking distance to the Wyoming Frontier Prison Museum & local eats. read more

This customer service was the best I've had on this trip from Oklahoma to Washington. She made sure we knew what there was to do in the area, even provided addresses. The room was clean and comfortable home like feel. The bed was great and I loved they had protectors on the mattresses to protect against anything coming in potentially. . I felt very safe and my dogs were extremely comfortable as well. Don't forget to tip the maid! They did great making sure there was enough supplies and anything else we needed potentially on our stay. Would highly highly recommend read more

Cold, trashy, unstaffed, aggressively Christian. We wanted to support a local business. Our room opened on a concrete stairwell with old snow and bits of garbage. The room was worse than chilly with a single heater with no dial that cycled noisily between tepid and frozen. The bathroom was an icebox. The door had a see through gap without weatherstripping that let in cold drafts. When we escaped from the snowdrifts blocking our door the next morning, there was no one in the office or in the managers room; their phone was unanswered and the voice messaging was full. The proselytizing was incessant on all shelves. I prefer to be offered rather than bludgeoned. read more

This motel has such a warm homey feeling. Its clean. It has wifi and cable tv. My double room had a little kitchenette with a full size fridge that was spotless inside. The bathroom was spotless. The shower was old but clean and really isn't that all we really want? Hot water and awesome pressure. Outside my door was a bbq!!! Price for all this on a Friday was only $64. Wonderful owner! Awesome manager. You park right in front of your door so you don't have to struggle taking luggage into a hall and up a flight of stairs . One story so no upstairs noise to bother you. Location is walking distance to the old town and near residential. I drove around looking for a motel and the others were in the middle of industrial areas some next door to warehouses. So Brickyard Inn's location was perfect. I'm a member of the press so I stay in a lot of motels, hotels, and inns. I'd recommend this motel definitely. No one wants a cold hotel feeling. We all like to feel at home and that is the Brickyard! read more

This older motel is VERY CLEAN and pleasant to be inside. I slept very well - learned they were all new beds. The owners were very nice, had positive attitudes and were accommodating. I really appreciated the fairly large refrigerator. It was cool to see in the lobby a box of goodies for hikers to exchange, or take, or to leave something for fellow hikers. Great value! From the moment we entered the motel office we knew we had found a jewel. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, very helpful and patient. The rooms were clean, sufficiently large enough for two people to. move around without running into each other. The air conditioners (2!) kept the room comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. Wifi functioned as well as one would expect from a $200 room. All in all, a great stay and I highly recommend it. read more

This is a great basic motel. We is wanted a clean and comfortable bed and bathroom. We don want to pay for a pool, spa, or exercise room we wouldn't use. This place was perfect for our needs and the owners are nice and helpful. Don't be put off with the mom and pop type motels. We're glad we didn't to chains. read more

My experience here was quite different from that of other reviewers. First of all, the office is kept locked and unstaffed - you have to call and someone comes out. But I agree they are pleasant and helpful. There is no breakfast bar, and the nearest breakfast place is a five block walk away. My room was never made up - the management claims I was offered service but refused it; this is not true. Bathroom has standard toilet - not elongated bowl. But shower is hot with strong water pressure, and the towels were large and fluffy, probably new. There was no phone in the room, no note paper to write on, no pens - I had to buy a pen in the Dollar General store down the street. No alarm clock. But the free WiFi did have a strong, reliable signal. Clearly this place has pluses and minuses. It isn't going to win any awards, but if you can put up with all of the above then you might like it. Finally, don't arrive in Rawlins expecting to find Uber service or a car rental agency - neither exists. read more

What a wonderful place in remote Wyoming. Such nice people who run the Brickyard Inn.This place has everything I look for when traveling, clean, quiet room, microwave, refrigerator, bathtub (shower too) vintage charm and excellent soundproofing between rooms. Local cafes and restaurants are within walking distance and it is an easy entrance back onto the interstate. This gem of a motel is in the heart of the city of Rawlins. Love it. read more
