After we were rear-ended in our brand new Forester, Subaru of Tucson referred us to Formula 1. They handled the insurance company, got it done ahead of schedule, and did a FANTASTIC job - the vehicle looks like the day we drove it off the lot (except for the stains my messy kids left in the back seat - our fault)! We worked with Kevin who stayed on top of everything and was very professional. Everyone we spoke with communicated well and was very attentive. Notwithstanding the fact that I'd greatly prefer if that dude had kept his little dog from running out in the road and causing all this mess, I'm very glad I went with Formula 1. read more

The work completed on my 2020 Outback was superb. There was a lot of damage that required replacement of doors and panels and repairs of others. For this Formula 1 deserves 5+ stars. There were a couple of very minor repair issues but they are of no real import. The titanium gold color of the Outback is difficult to match. Nevertheless, there are no telltale signs of repainting, so carefully done was the paint matching and blending. I'm a repeat customer, having used Formula 1 several years ago to repair collision damage to the right side of my Impreza hatchback. That work was superb, as well. After Outback repair I carefully inspected the right-side body seams of the following: Front bumper cover (not damaged but removed for access), front fender (repaired), both doors (replaced), right quarter panel (repaired), and rear bumper cover (removed for access). These gaps and seams are tighter and in better alignment than those on the left side, as it came from the factory. Great job! My only body seam issue is with the left side of the front bumper cover where it meets the left fender; it is slightly skewed. In the past I removed and reinstalled the front bumper cover as part of various small mechanical repairs and I may well be the culprit of this wayward seam. While in the shop for the right side, I also paid out of pocket to have a crease repaired to the left front fender. It took approximately three months to complete all repairs, from the initial estimate to final delivery. My insurance pays $900 maximum for rental car reimbursement, which is the equivalent of one month. I had to pay out of pocket for two more months. I believe that the Outback could have been inspected to determine hidden damage and then returned to me partially disassembled while parts were sourced and shop scheduling was completed. I know this is not SOP, but it would have limited my financial loss. My other issue regards the creased left front fender. I was quoted a little under $1,000 for that repair, for which there was no hidden damage. The film-based body protection installed by the dealership when new was discussed and I provided the original installation certificate. There should have been no charges in addition to those quoted for that repair. But I then received an amended, perplexing quote for nearly $2,000, including color blending. Why? Nothing changed from the time of the straightforward initial quote. I opted to forgo the color blending, betting on the quality and professionalism of Formula 1's metal workers and painters to repair and panel-paint the fender without it being an obvious repair. This was a good call, as Formula 1 did indeed match the paint on the fender to the surrounding panels. Again, great job. I still had to pay a few hundred dollars more than expected, which annoys me, but the quality of the work ameliorates this concern. I'm giving a 4-star rating because of the additional out-of-pocket for rental car expense and the unexpected price increase. If I had the option, I would have rated the whole process 4.75 stars. 5 stars for the work, and deducting .25 stars for the administrative and financial concerns. But don't let any of this dissuade you from using Formula 1. Their work is truly superb. read more

used to be great. now lousy service missed app and doesn't return calls. They were always more expensive but now it's below average with high prices I'll never go back. read more

I had to wait a while to get an appointment, but I appreciate that they don't overwhelm themselves with more customers than they can reasonably handle. They were worth the wait. Their customer service is top notch, and they communicate with you every step of the way. read more

I had work done on my car in April and for the last 8-months my car's alignment has been off. After my car got returned to me, I drove back THE NEXT DAY with concerns over vibrations in my steering wheel, yet Tod inspected my car in the parking lot and sent me on my way. Spoke to Tod yesterday, who then spoke to his boss, and even after explaining the details and what the dealership said about the damages, they are refusing to do anything to fix their mistake. Absolutely disgusting management and piss poor business practices. read more

I had an estimate prepared by Tyler for my Subaru as the dealership referred me to them. He was very friendly. His estimate was $1926.38 with an after market brake light. I sent him the highest estimate I had from Watson Chevrolet with all OEM parts for $1858.35 and another quote also with all OEM parts for 1689.60. I liked the place and called him to request a price match as I was paying out of pocket. He refused to budge on his estimate. I told him that if we went through my insurance, they would want to negotiate and he started by saying that I'd have to pay the labor rate differences etc, implying that he wouldn't accept their estimate. This is my reason for the one star. Other people have rave reviews about him. May be he felt slighted when I showed him the other estimates and he realized that he wasn't even in the ball park. read more

Formula 1 Collision Center - Body Shops Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

See all

Picked F1 Collision Center after an accident and damage to my passenger quarter panel, rear passenger door, and rear suspension. I was kept up to date on any changes, repairs, and all the small details that was being done to my car. Very professional and flexible shop. They listened to my requests and got them done. Repairs were spotless when I picked my vehicle. After having the car back, my rear passenger power window is struggling to operate and my alignment is slightly off to the left(alignment shop at fault, not F1). read more

The definition of service, quality, great communication and integrity. Best collision center in Tucson. I took my son's new Tacoma to Formula 1 after it was lightly rear ended. Todd and his crew returned it back to new in a week and handled all the insurance details. Such a great experience. Thank you Todd! And, please extend my thanks to your team. Scott read more

I had an appointment to replace a bumper cover that had been damaged. When I got there they were able to reinstall the original and remove some scuff marks. They comped (charged nothing) the job. Very considerate. They will have any future body or painting work which I might need. read more

Vehicle is a Subaru Crosstrek An unfortunate encounter with another vehicle prompted my sending my almost new small SUV to Formula 1 on the recommendation of my car dealer- a very wise decision. I could not be more pleased. Their customer service is exceptional. Some parts had to be ordered, but these experts kept me informed every step of the way on what to expect. The finished car looks brand new inside and out. I could not give them a higher recommendation. Many thanks to the entire Formula 1 team. read more

So far so good. Very knowledgeable estimator and good service. I will post again when the work is complete.

We were rear-ended by a Harley. $7,000 damage. Subaru recommended Todd at Formula One. Todd is extremely professional, likeable and efficient. He is accessible and a great communicator. He even called the rental car agency and ensures all customer needs are met. His assistant, Tyler is just as good. Another assistant, Christina is friendly and helpful. While it took awhile to get our car back, it is perfect and they also cleaned it in and out. Our car looks and drives like the day we bought it new. Formula One is awesome. read more

I've always used Formula 1 for my collision and paint needs. Repairs are always of the highest quality.

The place is a great body shop. They are reasonably priced and they do a great job. Have worked with them before and they always make it work with insurance, whether your car has been crashed or vandalized. Your car will come out looking as if never ever happened. I have used them once and my friends have used them multiple times. They work off the insurance estimate and are always able to get supplements from the insurance company since they make sure everything gets fixed. My Passat was keyed recently and I had my brother take it to them and it came out looking sparkling. The painted the entire side, and bumper, and the color matches perfectly from the pictures I have seen after the repair. They do a lot of high end cars. I have seen Porches, Lambos and other exotics come in here after a crash. Highly recommend them. read more

I recently had my 2018 Forester repaired at Formula 1 and I am really glad I found this body shop. They did excellent body and paint work and even took my car to Tucson Subaru for recalibration of a safety sensor that had to be replaced. Tyler was a pleasure to deal with. read more

I have known about Formula 1 for the past 15 years and have been recommending it to my friends and colleagues. Not once they have ceased to exceed expectations. Since this is a locally own shop, they can afford to keep their higher work standard. If you care about your car, Formula 1 is the place need to bring it to. read more

After having my Ascent for only a week, it was hit by an unknown person in a parking lot. Subaru referred me to Formula 1 and I couldn't be happier! Tyler and the whole crew were so great - they helped me with the rental car and worked with my insurance to get everything done and now my car looks new again! They were so nice and so professional - hopefully I won't need a body shop again, but if I do I know who to call. read more

When our Lexus got hit a couple years ago, we took it to the dealer and were unimpressed with the results. This time, when our Audi got hit in the parking lot, we asked around and took it to Formula 1. Wow!!! They blew my mind! The car came back looking brand new. No squeaks, rattles, or squeals either. You can't tell it's been it a wreck. Tyler was easy to work with. They worked great with the insurance company reps too. I would definitely use them again and refer them out to friends. read more

I was trying to determine the best plan of action for addressing the auto body issues my car had following an accident. Formula 1 took their time to lay out the options.
