    Damage to weather strip

    I needed my windshield replace, I hesitated for months to get it replaced. I finally decided to get it done. Made an appointment to have it replaced on site. A simple windshield replacement with tint strip is all that was required. They showed up and the windshield did not have the window tint strip. The tech said he was not informed that it was to have the tint strip. The windshield did not get replaced because they needed to reschedule the appointment so they could add the tint strip. The second attempt was a repeat of the first attempt. As some time has passed we now make the third attempt. Guess what! Same thing again. I was upset and said go ahead and replace the windshield it needs to be replaced. They tried to place a small nut under my wipers and told me that's why my windshield got cracked. I just got done detailing my vehicle. Really! Then they poor placed protective equipment at the base of the windshield on the inside. As the removed the windshield I see that they cut the foam insulation at the base of the windshield inside. See picture. They immediately picked up the foam pieces that where cut. The tech tried to say my windshield has been replaced before. It has never been replaced. it was the OEM windshield From Jeep. It has been months of trying to get this fixed. What a complete waste of time. it has cost me more money to take the time away from work to continue to get what they damaged fixed. I'm going to contact the CEO Renee Cacchillo. Maybe she can assist in this matter.

    The windshield chip was bigger after they "fixed" it. Pointed it out to manager Joe, who said they crack the windshield to fill it and sometimes it is a bigger crack than the original. Only fix now is for me to pay for a new windshield??? What a bunch of crooks! The photo shows how they "fixed" it.

Corporate Office Attention: Auto Insurance Claims thomas.feeney@safelite.com renee.k.cacchillo@safelite.com 7400 Safelite Way Columbus, OH 43235 RE: Unfinished Work Claim & Substandard, Unprofessional Management at Tucson Location Dear USAA and Safelite: I do not have my VIN that was supposed to be ordered by Michelle--supervisor at 1402 S. Told Rd. office--within a 6 month window that began on 21 JAN 2021. On 21 JAN 2021 the Safelite technician informed me that in the process of him removing the damaged windshield, he cracked the window frame. He sincerely apologized numerous times. Both he, and Michelle, told me that they were going to tow my van to their shop for repair, and that they would order the VIN. When it arrived within 6 months, they would contact me to return to remove the windshield again, replace the VIN, then replace the windshield, thus finalizing the claim and the work. I handed my keys to the towing service man, and watched my van leave. Then, the rain began coming down very, very hard. 1 week later, (28 JAN 2021), I picked my van up at the Kolb Rd. location, and realized that the windshield and visor area were completely soaked and moist. I spoke with Michelle and she told me to bring my van in again, as she assumed that my sunroof was leaking. On SAT 30 JAN, her technician did not find any leaking when he used a water hose to check the sunroof. There are still water damage stains in my vehicle. After this, on 2 or 3 separate occasions I have called the Kolb Rd. Office and the office ladies always tell me that she is not available for me and she never takes, nor returns my calls. I have called USAA to inform them about this grievance on 2 or 3 separate occasions, and they have told me to call the Safelite Customer Service line, or they transferred me. I have been told on 2 or 3 occasions by the Customer Service members of Safelite that they would call that office location, and then contact me about the status of the VIN and the lack of action about the water damage. On 24 NOV 2021 I tried calling the 800-800-2727 line and the message that I heard was; "No one can take my call." While the @safelite S. Kolb location is not directly responsible for the water damage, they have not been a proactive, transparent, professional team at all! And I'm tired of all of the dodging and unprofessionalism from all of the employees and companies that I have been trying to deal with to finish the work that has already been paid to complete the damage! I am a Middle School teacher, and unfortunately, I do not have time to pursue this problem as required, thus, it has been beneficial to Safelite and USAA to continue ignoring my substandard quality of work and customer service.
