From my first phone call to Fix auto I knew I was selecting the right place. Friendly and efficient front office made me confident in their customer service. That theme carried over to the repairs of my vehicle. The text updates from Kevin keep me in the loop and aware of what was going on as the parts & repairs progressed. Kevin took great care of getting the right parts for my car and worked closely with the insurance company to get them approved. The repair was perfect! I have a Tesla and the parts and insurance approval can be difficult at best, but it was all handled by Fix Auto. I have had other experiences with body shops (over 40 years of driving), the communication from Fix Auto far exceeded any other shop I have had experience with! I was kept up to date without having to ask. Kevin would send text messages as parts arrived, insurance approved repairs, etc. It was great! This is a business that does business the right way: the staff is kind, caring, responsive, and works hard to take care of customers; they do excellent, amazing work; they do what they say they are going to do; they explain what they need to do, the time it will take and why, and then they do it in a timely fashion. Recently, my fiancé's car was rear ended and needed to be repaired... So I got to looking for repair shops in town that were both locally owned and did the collision repair the right way. I have done a lot of research about various collision repair shops, and fix auto Tucson kept coming up as the best place for the work to be done. They were incredibly responsive from my first phone call and when I walked in the door of their office to get my estimate done, it was bright, modern, clean, and everyone there was very friendly. They did a very thorough job on my estimate and educated me along the way about things that an average consumer wouldn't know should be done to their car during the collision repair. For calibration of the vehicle after the repair to get it to the manufacturer's standard is one of the things the shop does that no other shop I talk to would do - they told me that wasn't necessary. As it turns out, the calibration equipment is extremely expensive and the shops I talk to simply didn't have the machinery to do it. Being a curious guy that I am, I asked for a tour of their facility. They were very willing to give me as much information as I could handle... It's clear these guys know what they're doing. When I left I felt like my car was in really good hands and I came away with a new knowledge of all the extra steps they take to make sure that the car is as safe as it was the day it rolled off the assembly line before I got it back. That gave me a lot of peace of mind. Plus, they're just really friendly honest helpful people. The day I went back to get my car, I brought my dog. He's a very good judge of character and immediately made friends with everybody in the office, so I know they're good people! I realize that reviewing a collision repair shop is it the most glamorous type of business you're going to see on Yelp but I really wanted to put this review out there because they really do go above and beyond for the customer and they truly care about the customer safety. That's important to me because my children ride around in these vehicles. I also learned that it's owned by an Army veteran who was born and raised in Tucson too! Not only will I always take my vehicles to Fix Auto Tucson to get them repaired, but I'm also going to have them do the custom paint work on a car I am building when that time comes. Their painters skill and their painting facility is absolutely next level. So if you are looking for a place to get your car repaired, and looking on yelp for what people think of repair shops in Tucson... Your search has come to an end, because Fix Auto Tucson is, in my opinion, the absolute best collision repair shop in the entire city. I was involved in a hit-and-run in March 2021. Passenger side door of my car was smashed and scratched. I called my insurance company USAA and they promptly took great care of me. This insurance company you can have. I called Gerber auto body shop in May of the same year. Told him what happened and told him assurance took care of it I'd like to start the repairs on my vehicle. That's when they told me that the next available appointment was in September. Though I was angry about such a long wait, anyone has driven in Tucson and seen how many accidents there are in Tucson, can understand that an auto body shop may be busy. So I booked for September 14th. On September 4 I called the body shop because I wanted to confirm the date. I couldn't remember the exact date of my appointment though I knew it was somewhere in the teens. They looked, and looked and could not find my appointment. After a little bit more looking they've discovered that they had canceled my appointment. They thought they weren't going to be paid by the insurance company. After my insurance company got on the phone with them and very professionally told them that they were stupid. They proceeded to tell me the next appointment couldn't be booked until January 2022. Again, I was extremely angry but took the date. January 2022 rolls around one week before my appointment I received a call. The lady on the other end tells me she needs to push my appointment out one more week. I agree. Finally the day rolls around and I drop my car off and got my rental. after dropping my car off they said they'd call me by the end of the day to let me know how long it will take. End of the day comes goes, the next day comes and goes. No call! So I called them and asked what was going on. They ordered the wrong door. I was done. I called thoroughbred. Told him what happened. They ordered my door before I even took my car ran in order to make sure everything was OK. Once the door came in I dropped my car off on a Monday, it was done on Thursday. My car has been in the shop since February 14, 2022, I have still not been able to get my car out of the shop and today is February 13, 2022. The car is sitting in the Carlot fixed but because the owner is too lazy to find out what's going on with the payment. Don't ever go to the shop very poor service and I think they rip off the insurance agencies because after the initial evaluation they sent in for two more extra things to get my car fixed. And now they're holding my car hostage because they can't get on the phone log enough to get the situation straightened out as to how much they were owed by the insurance company. Don't ever go to the shop the service is absolutely horrendous. They don't even start to work on your car for a week because they have to clean it!!! My recommendation is never used this shop. The reason I use the shop as I had used it before and I had gotten my car in and out in a week and now with new ownership it's taking a month. Poor management!!! read more

Prior to Fix Auto buying Thoroughbred Auto, I had taken several of my cars to Thoroughbred Auto over the past 25 years due to being in accidents caused by other parties. I was always satisfied with their work and found they charged a reasonable amount for the work done. I recently took my wife's car to Fix Auto for an estimate to repair a minor dent and repaint of the two doors on the passenger side of the car, as well as minor damage to the passenger side mirror. The car was damaged by someone in a parking lot and since we don't know who did it, we decided to not go through our insurance company. They quoted an outrageous amount of over $5300 to do the repair/paint job. We then took the car to the dealer we purchased the car from and their quote for the work was $2400. You can decide for yourself whether Fix Auto overcharges, I think you know I will never take my cars to this company ever again. read more

I feel terrible for not giving this place 5 stars because the customer service here was unmatched. However, as much as I value customer service it does not surpass my expectation for quality work, especially when I'm still paying for my car. After getting hit by an underinsured driver, I called my dealership (Larry H Miller Jeep) and they said they work with this place for repairs, etc. I looked it up and didn't look further after seeing all the great reviews. I worked with Rich and Todd and both were wonderful, throughout. When I picked up my vehicle (the first time), I immediately noticed the finish of the grill was too glossy. I took it home and after further inspection, I also realized the bumper and fender didn't align where they met. I called my insurance guy and he said no problem, he would talk to the guys at the shop and get me back in. They ordered some new parts and I took my car back in once they got them. Mind you, I'm a full time student, work approximately 30 hours a week, and go to an internship 16 hours a week. In addition, my grandmother's health took a turn during this time and she was in Phoenix, so, I had to wait to go see her. They guys got the job done in about 3 days. It was pouring when I arrived to pick it up so I ran in, got my keys, and left. At this point, I just felt like I really NEEDED my car to get around. The grill and fender now align better, but unfortunately, although the finish on the grill is more matte, the color is now too light. Maybe not noticeable to others, but I notice it and that's all that matters. It doesn't look horrible, but it just doesn't look like my car did before. To be reasonable, I can imagine what a difficult task it must be to match the right color and finish, but it can't be impossible. I feel like they really tried, but I feel disappointed that after the second time, they still couldn't get it right. At this point, I absolutely can not afford to not have my car so I'm just going to leave it as it is. On a side note, I went to get an oil change with the dealership after the second time and some of the service men did mention the color of the grill looked a little "off"and they told me that they had recently stopped working with Thoroughbred Paint and Body and gave me a business card to a new shop they're working with. read more
