So glad we went with Formal Faces! I had been on the fence about hiring someone to do my hair and makeup (there are so many other things to pay for...) but I am so glad I did. The fact that I didn't have to stress about doing my own hair and makeup (or making another appointment to get to) and could sit back and relax as they dolled us up was invaluable for the day of my wedding. I was concerned about the makeup being overdone and the hair not being what I wanted (though I didn't know what I wanted) and those fears were relieved during our practice session. Apart from having to drive nearly an hour one-way for it, it was perfect. Every woman should feel pampered on her wedding day and this did the trick. read more

This was such a great experience working with Brielle! She did such a perfect job with both hair and make up and knew exactly what she was doing! She spent a lot of time on making sure she did the perfect job and also went over and beyond on the wedding day!! She is truly incredible with both hair and make up and is a hair extension expert! Very easy to work with! read more

We worked with Heidi & Sarah this past weekend with Formal Faces! They ran on time and did a phenomenal job and were very professional. We can't recommend this company enough! We've worked with them several times in the past and they always do an incredible job every time. read more

I couldn't have asked for more beautiful hair and makeup for wedding! Stephanie was so professional and worked to make sure I looked PERFECT on my day, in a way that matched my style and personality. I'd recommend her to anyone! read more

I don't usually write reviews, but i had to make sure that any bride that was on the fence about formal faces makes the decision to work with them on their special day. Jennifer was so great about getting back to me and working with my schedule and reassuring me that things would go smoothly. Laurel-Kate was the best! She did exactly what i asked for and she is so talented! She is so sweet and really knows what she is doing. McKenzie was also lovely. They were both so sweet and made the morning of my wedding so fun and stress free. They were the best decision that I made on my wedding day. read more

They provided hair and make-up for myself (bride), 3 bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother of the groom. Make up for all of us turned out good, the huge loss was on the hair. I told my stylist at the trial run and the day of the wedding my hair does not hold curls well and requested she pin the curls so they set. She said they would be fine, they wouldn't fall. Come day of the wedding, I requested again she pin the curls and she reassured me again it would hold and sure after she did everything it looked good. However, not even an hour and half later hair look miserable. My hair looked like a rats nest for the ceremony and reception. I'm just happy I had a few good photos that hid the majority of my hair. My mom's hair holds curls VERY well and it was flat before we even left for the venue. The bridesmaids' hair all went limp as well by the time the ceremony started. The make-up looked fine, but honestly I wouldn't recommend just for make-up. I was very disappointed - money spent and she didn't take my word and request for my hair. It looked very amateur. read more

I looked at a few hair and makeup companies before deciding to go with Formal Faces. It was the best decision I made. I highly recommended Formal Faces! Heidi did an amazing job on me and Alison did great with my bridesmaids. Heidi is super sweet and a great artist! She made my experience so amazing. Heidi and Alison were both on time and stuck to the schedule. They both executed what we all wanted perfectly. My hair stayed in place the entire day even well after the reception was over. My makeup was exactly what I wanted which was something more than I usually do but not too dramatic. Heidi really listened to what I wanted and made me look so beautiful. Both exceeded all expectations! read more

Formal Faces was wonderful! I had Stephanie do my makeup and she was fantastic. She worked hard to figure out my style and picked up quickly by the pictures I showed her. She worked diligently to make sure I had the perfect look I wanted. My bridesmaids were also raving that they loved their hair and makeup. One of my bridesmaids is getting married soon and wanted to duplicate the hair for her own wedding. Very punctual and professional. Highly recommend! They work hard to give you exactly what you want on your big day. read more

I decided to do an onsite hair/make up because I got married on a Friday in Atlanta (traffic is a nightmare) and after reading glowing reviews felt very confident in booking. I was disappointed with my over all experience. Cons: - My trail was located an hour away from my home & venue and they only do trials during the week - My consultant forgot about my trail apt. making her late and flustered - this really put a big ding in my day. The trail location was so far I took a day off of work and scheduled my trail plus my dress fitting for after (get the full look) - well because she was late, we sat in 2.5 hours worth of traffic making me late and very flustered for my dress fitting. It was a nightmare. - 3/5 bridesmaid hair did not come out great. Had to fix it a few times, and didn't look close to the photo they brought with them (we did a braided up-do for all bridesmaid and I asked during my trail if that would be okay or should I change it, my consultant said it would be fine. Then on the wedding day a different consultant said oh most braided up-dos require extensions... okay well I would have changed my look if I knew that) - I had two consultants there because we had so many people getting ready, they came separately which meant they came at different times and I had to pay for both of them to park, it was not too expensive, but I personally find that unprofessional. - I am not sure if this is a thing, but they never went over how to put in my veil to make it stay. My BM put my veil on right before I walked down the aisle and it kept falling off. Pros: - My hair and make-up stayed all day and through a lot of happy tears - BM hair / make-up stayed all day - They were very sweet while getting ready - On time for my wedding day / stayed on schedule - SO flexible with scheduling who got ready at what time slot Overall, everything worked out, but I would not suggested them to a friend. *On 10/10/17 the owner requested I change my review on another website. She said that a 3.5 "destroyed" their average. She also kindly stated that she would take my review into consideration to improve, but never addressed anything specific. read more

Heidi did my hair and makeup for my wedding day, and was absolutely AMAZING. From the trial run to the wedding day, she always made sure to check with me along the way and ensure that I was happy. She is extremely talented, professional, AND fun to be around! My hair stayed put through hours of ceremony + reception as well as humid weather! Thank you! read more

Formal Faces did a wonderful job with my wedding hair and makeup. My stylist, Shannon, was so sweet and she did so well with what ideas I had. I mainly chose them because they're mobile, and the last thing I wanted to do on my wedding day was run around town between appointments. She came right to the hotel and we had a great time hanging out. The updo and makeup lasted all day and night - couldn't have been happier. read more

I am reading all the comments below and WISH I could have at least experienced the services that Formal Faces provides, but they wouldn't let me get that far! I inquired about my wedding in October. After talking to several hair/make-up people I decided Formal Faces was the one for me and I was completely ready to give them my business (bride, 6 bridesmaids, flower girl, 2 moms) I just had a couple questions before making the commitment. I have sensitive skin and asked if they could apply my own personal make-up. They never answered that question, but most make-up professionals I talked to said that was fine. I live out of town (TX) and asked if they could work with me on trial dates. I come to Atlanta often but sometimes it is last minute and usually on a weekend. I mentioned that fact but never said I HAD to have a trial on a weekend. I asked if they would be available on a certain Friday in May when I knew I would be in town. The response I got was "I don't think we are a fit for you. This is not the way we do business. We can't do trials on a weekend." I though it was extremely rude to turn my business away without any question. I even gave a weekday for us to work around. If that didn't work, they could have said something. But instead, they acted like they don't care. Maybe they don't. But I hope this review speaks for itself. If you are wondering if Formal Faces will "work with you" if you have an issue, the answer is NO!!! I gave 2 stars only because they responded to my emails. read more

I just wanted to share how thankful I am to have worked with Heidi for our wedding day December 28, 2013. She was so calming and easy to work with. I have never felt so elegant and she delivered exactly what I wanted. My mom and my flower girl had their hair and make up done as well and looked so beautiful. Thank you guys so much for being so great to work with. I hope all brides feel as beautiful as I did for my big day. read more

I used Formal Faces for my April wedding in Atlanta and everything was perfect! Jennifer was great to work with and everything went smoothly. I knew when I met her at our trial that things would work out great! She knew exactly what I wanted without much explanation and was able to deliver! Ginger and Jennifer came to our hotel suite the morning of the wedding and did hair and makeup for my 5 bridesmaids, my mother, and myself. They were both fun, flexible and professional! We had a great time chatting with them while they helped us get ready. They kept a calm demeanor that really helped set the mood. I felt totally comfortable telling Jennifer when I wanted a little more blush here, or more curl in a certain part of my hair. She really put all the girls at ease! Highly recommend! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Jennifer and her team. Formal Faces came recommended by the venue we had the reception at and also came highly recommended by my wedding planner, but they are worthy of the praise for sure! My 7 bridesmaids and my mom looked incredible, and I ended up with my dream wedding look. I live a few states away, so it wasn't practical to come into town for a trial run. Needless to stay I was very nervous about my look coming together. I showed Jennifer a photo of the look I was going for, and she did exactly that and somehow better. Not to mention they were extremely patient and kind when a couple of my bridesmaids went rogue on the schedule. They were just an all-around pleasure to work with, and I couldn't be more pleased. read more

I hired Formal Faces to do my bridal hair and makeup as well as the same for two bridesmaids and the mother-of-the bride. They did a wonderful job. I don't wear a lot of makeup and they made me look very nice, but not overly done-up. The same goes for the rest of the bridal party. Everyone looked their best, but not so made-up that they looked fake. It is not cheap to get your hair and make up done for your wedding (is anything cheap for a wedding?!) but it was definitely well woth the cost! read more

I highly recommend Formal Faces for special occasion hair and makeup. Heidi was an absolute gem and made sure that my hair and makeup was exactly what I wanted. She was so sweet to me and the other ladies in my wedding party. Everyone loved her work and none of us felt the need to touch up things on our own after she left (which seems to always happen, especially after someone else does your makeup). The practice session was really worth the money and time. It allowed Heidi to figure out all the things I liked and didn't like and made for a very stress-free wedding day. She was able to re-create my look perfectly from the practice session pictures. The hair and makeup lasted all night and they even give you a tube of lipstick to help with touch-ups. read more

I was so happy to have Abby with Formal Faces do my hair and makeup for my wedding. Not only did she do an amazing job, but I lost the headband I had planned to wear and she had the wonderful idea to use flowers instead. I loved it even more than the headband. My sister and mom looked stunning as well. Thank you for helping to make it such a special and stress free day! Highly recommend!! read more

Where do I begin? Heidi and all of our Formal Faces consultants were nothing short of AMAZING from beginning to end. Heidi was so attentive to every last detail from my practice session to my wedding day and totally executed my vision beyond my expectations! Every consultant was professional, experienced, and extremely talented. My bridesmaids, mom, and I received endless compliments on our hair and makeup. Thank you, Formal Faces for making my dreams come true! read more

I hired Formal Faces for my wedding in November and had a great experience! Stephanie did my hair and makeup, and had two other team members that handled my bridesmaids and MOB/MOG. Everyone's makeup and hair turned out phenomenal. You never know if makeup can look too "made-up" but that was not the case at all. Everyone's hair and makeup lasted the entire day. I would highly recommend Formal Faces for a wedding. read more

I used Formal Faces for my April 2017 wedding for myself and my entire bridal party. From the beginning, Jennifer was extremely organized and friendly, and I knew I was in good hands! I showed Jennifer some pictures of hair and makeup for the trial, and she executed the vision wonderfully! On the day of the wedding, Jennifer and Courtney made the whole bridal party feel pampered and fabulous all day. They quickly became friends with everyone and were so much fun to spend the wedding morning with. Not only that, but my hair and makeup looked *flawless* all night! I have literally never felt more beautiful in my entire life, and I can thank Formal Faces for that! read more

Formal Faces was fantastic! They did my wedding and we all loved them so much, that my brother's wife used them again for her wedding. Make up was FLAWLESS and fantastic - my reception was 5 hours long, and my make up lasted the entire time, I never needed to touch up! My hair also stayed in place, and was a very difficult style, and it looked perfect! They were worth EVERY penny! I spent years going to salons for prom and always left disappointed with my hair/makeup -- these women are professionals, they know how to do make up that is meant to be photographed and do incredible hairdos -- just look at their website for proof -- all the brides are real brides and they all look incredible. Every bride should use Formal Faces!!! read more

Heidi did my hair and makeup for my wedding and split the hair and makeup for six of my bridesmaids and my mom with a second stylist, Courtney. I can't say enough how happy I was with the results, and the girls and my mom loved it just as much. I never thought we'd get so many compliments on it throughout the day from family and guests. Heidi and Courtney were so calm and careful with everything that morning. Courtney also helped out by giving some tips and assistance to my sister who was curling my flower girl's hair, which was so nice and unexpected. I had a great experience with the practice session at Heidi's home a month before the wedding; I showed Heidi a few photos of what I liked and she spent careful time getting my hair and makeup just how I wanted it, asking for my input and feedback along the way. The communication with Jennifer and Heidi to book the services and schedule the practice session was prompt and friendly - overall, I had a more seamless experience than I ever could have hoped for and definitely recommend Heidi, Courtney and the Formal Faces team for your wedding! read more

I used Formal Faces for my wedding on August 15th, and I am so happy with the results. After months of stressing over whether to have an up-do or loose curls for my wedding, Jennifer Adams put my worries at ease. I showed her specific images of the look I wanted, and she worked tirelessly to achieve it. Jennifer is so calm and is a fantastic listener. I would say I am a very particular person since makeup is a hobby of mine, and Jennifer listened carefully and executed every minor detail I requested. While working on my hair and makeup on wedding day, Jennifer supervised the other artists and attended to any issues that arose with my bridesmaids. She is even fantastic at hair and makeup for more mature women. My mother was so nervous about makeup setting into her wrinkles, but she looked flawless, fresh, and glowing, and I can barely see a single wrinkle in her photos! I was so nervous about trusting someone else with my hair and makeup on my wedding day, and I cannot express how happy I am with the results. My up-do was loose and romantic and still make me feel very feminine, and the bridesmaids' curls held all day. I love the way the hair and makeup looks in photographs, and she even gave us all lipsticks to keep for the wedding! Thank you so much for making me feel like a beautiful bride and making my bridesmaids look stunning! read more

I highly recommend Formal Faces and give them 5 stars. As Mother of the Bride with a daughter who lives out of town, we worked together in our search for a hair and make-up team with 4 qualities, great reviews, been in business for years, budget friendly and incredible pictures (proof of quality). Jennifer was my hair and makeup artist as well as the bride and Maid of honor. Her team provided services for the remaining five bridesmaids. We all looked beautiful! Jennifer was incredibly patient and when my daughter was unsure of the 1st hair look at the practice session, had no problem reworking her updo into what ended up being perfection. Jennifer's motto is "cool, calm & collected" which made the morning of the wedding relaxed & fun for everyone. The wedding was on the 4th of July and Jennifer put off joining her family on vacation in order to provide her services, a true gem. read more

Heidi did an amazing job for my daughters wedding in May. She made my beautiful daughter look stunning and suggested having a small floral piece made for her hair during our pre wedding session. It's certainly an easier task to make a young and beautiful woman look great, but a bit more challenging to achieve that for the mother of the bride, and Heidi did just that! She has just the right touch and was a pleasure to work with. read more

I hired formal faces for my wedding hair/makeup and my bridesmaids hair. Shannon and Natalie were amazing to work with. Shannon did my make up and hair and everything was perfect. Shannon and Natalie were knowledgeable and very talented. They were on time to the venue and easy to work with. My bridesmaids also decided at the last minute to get makeup done also, and she was so accommodating! I had such a great experience with Formal Faces, and would recommend them to anyone! Thank you for helping me look amazing on my special day! read more

Jennifer and her team did an amazing job on me (bride), my bridesmaids, and the mothers at my wedding. Everyone looked stunning. She really listened to me and gave me the exact look I wanted for my wedding day. All of us were done on time and both ladies from Formal Faces were very nice and professional. They know what they are doing. I am so happy that I chose Formal Faces for my wedding day! read more

Formal Faces is AWESOME! Jennifer was so personable, responsive, and easy to work with it was like we had been friends already when I showed up for my trial. She did a beautiful job on my hair and make-up, along with my Mother (who looked stunning) and matron of honor. She did exactly what I had in mind. Ginger came with her and did my sisters. She did an awesome job as well, especially never meeting or seeing any of the girls before! All of our hair and makeup stayed perfect and fresh all night. I've compared prices and Formal Faces is very reasonable, not to mention the convenience of them coming to you. One less thing to worry about and research, book them! :) read more

Jennifer and her team of Stephanie and Abby helped accomplish that goal. But it began BEFORE the wedding day with the hair and makeup trial for my daughter. Jennifer blocked out plenty of time to really work with Cameron to get her makeup and especially her hair just right and took pictures in order to replicate it for the wedding day. We even planned a bridal photo shoot for that day knowing this is how she would look on her wedding day. Then ON the wedding day they arrived early but respectfully waited outside until the agreed upon time. We had a large wedding party as well as both the mother of the groom and bride with some having just one service and several having both. Jennifer provided a schedule and amazingly accomplished the goal of finishing on time. She was so sensitive to the bride knowing a bride can have a case of nerves and told her they could talk or be quiet according to the bride's need. Stephanie and Abby were in a separate room where more of the action was taking place and they were friendly without trying to become the center of attention and so calm with so many people in and out. It created such a great atmosphere of fun in our home. But the bottom line is that their work is superb!! We wanted each bridesmaid to wear her hair the way she wanted so the styles were different and each one was as pretty as the next! All these young women are beautiful but the makeup was so pretty without being overdone! And it all shows in the pictures and was worth it to contract with Formal Faces! I highly recommend them. read more

We used Formal Faces for my daughter's wedding on March 19, 2016! I cannot say enough about Heidi, Abby, and Stephanie...They were AMAZING!!! This group of women were extremely professional and made getting ready for the big day totally stress-free! They tackled my daughter, 7 bridesmaids, the mother of the groom and myself with ease! We were all thrilled with the final outcome! I would DEFINITELY recommend FORMAL FACES without any hesitation! Thank you for being such a joy to work with! read more

Don't waste your money. This is like having your cousin Suzy come over to do your makeup and hair for prom. They are not that good and certainly not worth the money. Go to a real salon where they will actually wash and style your hair. While they were nice, I felt I could have done a much better job on my hair and makeup. They are good with up-dos, but can't truly style hair beyond that. I initially went for the trial and had them put my hair up and it was fine - but then decided I wanted something half-up/down - and my hair was TERRIBLE for my wedding day. The mascara they used was a new product for them and even before the ceremony I had to re-do it as it was smudging onto my eyelids and this was a January wedding, so it wasn't from the heat - it was just a poor product. The foundation was for oily skin and I have drier skin, so I had to reapply moisturizer and basically redo the makeup prior to the ceremony. Only one of my bridesmaids was truly happy with her hair and makeup - and it was an up-do. They don't wash your hair - they just spray it up with water and "aquanet". Their curling and straightening irons are cheap - like Conair that you buy at Walmart. One of the girls doing makeup and hair showed up about 40 min. late and to speed things along I suggested she use my expensive Chi straightener because it was taking FOREVER for her to straighten my friend's hair with her cheapy iron and she acted a bit snotty - and she was the one that showed up late!!! Biggest waste of my money and what really bothers me is that my wedding photos will forever remind me. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about the amazing work that Heidi and Stephanie R did for my daughter's recent wedding. I had never had professional makeup or an updo done, but I knew I wanted to look my best for this most special day. My daughter and I went to Heidi's home for a trial run, and she made us feel completely welcome, comfortable and beautiful. On the wedding day, Heidi and Stephanie were on site for several hours working with my daughter (the Bride), me (MoB), the MoG, and 6 bridesmaids to make us all look our most beautiful best. They were both extremely professional, while making the experience fun and relaxing for us all, and it was wonderful part of the wedding day experience. Heidi patiently worked with me through several hairstyle adjustments to be sure I was totally happy with the look, and my makeup was perfect (natural, but better!). I received so many compliments, and all of our hair and makeup held up beautifully all night long, in spite of the rain. Well worth the money we spent to look and feel amazing, and I highly recommend them! read more
