My artist Sara worked with us to schedule my trial during our visit to Georgia for our tasting. She was extremely communicative and flexible on where we could meet. The price was fair and the option for on-site hair and make-up for the day of our wedding was exactly what we needed to lessen the stress of getting around the city. Shannon did our hair and make-up and everyone looked beautiful! We had myself (bride), 3 bridesmaids, and two mothers and she was able to complete all hair and make-up in just under 8 hours. Was a bridesmaid and used them as part of the wedding party for hair and makeup. My hair was decent hence the two stars, but my makeup....I went back to my room, washed it off and re-did it myself. It was gaudy and looked nothing like the picture I showed as an example. Its upsetting to pay that much on such an important day and then to just have had to re-do it myself. I'm getting married this year and will be doing my own makeup; will not trust an over paid 'makeup artist' who doesnt know what they're doing to do my makeup on my big day after an experience like that. Before the wedding, I attended a practice session at Shannon's house to do a test-run of the look that I wanted, both hair and makeup, and it was such a great time. Since Shannon would be doing my bridesmaids' and my mother's hair and makeup as well, I was able to bring my mom and sister along to the practice session and Shannon did a test-run of my bridesmaids' hair as well so my sister could choose her Maid of Honor hairstyle and have a test run as well. It was also nice to spend time with my consultant before the wedding so it felt like she was really a part of the wedding day and knew more about me and what I wanted for the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Shannon was wonderful once again. She did hair and makeup for all five bridesmaids, my maid of honor, and my mom before doing my hair and makeup as well. I couldn't find a reasonably priced one within my budget so I just had to see what was out there, compare, and go with my gut feeling. In the end Formal Faces was the most professional company and had great reviews to back them up. I won't say that it wasn't expensive (it was) but I'll say that it was worth every penny. Julie was my stylist and she was so great to work with both during the trial and during the day of. The trial was amazing and the makeup and hair turned out exactly as I wanted it to. On the day of I had two stylists and they were both on time, set-up quickly, and were so quick! I had heard so many horror stories about makeup/hair taking forever and this was not the case! Everyone in my bridal party loved their hair (they all had up-dos) and me and my moms loved the hair and makeup styles. My mom's just had their short hair styled and they loved it as well. The only thing I wish I had known before was that while the makeup comes with a free lipstick, it does not include the lip gloss so be sure to have 10 dollars in cash if you want to buy the lip gloss they use or just bring your own. Something I really liked about Formal Faces is that you pay in advance so there's not that awkward time when you're collecting money from bridesmaids or handing over cash at the end of your hair-do. You want to be enjoying your wedding day, not worrying about if you have enough cash! I also loved how they came to your hotel room - it was so fun getting ready with my bridesmaids and moms in the privacy of my hotel suite versus a hair salon. We had a pool party after our wedding and I decided to not take off my makeup beforehand. After getting thrown in the water multiple times my mascara and eye makeup was still intact - amazing! read more

We had a huge group of girls needing to get their makeup done and everyone on the Formal Faces team was professional, friendly and went out of their way to give exceptional service. One thing that stood out to me the most was that two of my bridesmaids didn't speak English and both of the team members assigned to do their makeup were patient, kind and took the extra time to confirm what they wanted and whether or not they liked their hair and makeup.
