Thank you, Austin! This is a two-person salon with Lauren (owner) and Austin. When we moved back to Atlanta this past summer, my wife searched Yelp for a salon close to our home. She chose Lauren Reyes Salon based on their average Yelp rating, Yelp reviews, and what she saw on Lauren Reyes' Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/laurenreyessalon/ She liked what she saw. Lauren Reyes Salon is located inside Ansley Mall. The entrance is an interior entrance that does not face the parking lot. To find the salon, head towards the back of the mall's central courtyard. My wife likes to park on the CVS side of the mall because it's easier and less congested. Lauren and Austin have a room inside a shared salon space. My wife likes this place because it's easy to schedule an appointment, intimate, and convenient. She came here before getting her professional headshots and photos done at her new job. Austin did a great job. My wife also likes that Austin uses Davines products, the same high-end hair products that her previous salon, Rock Paper Scissors Salon in Durham, North Carolina, used. She paid $400, including a 25% tip, for her last cut and balayage.

All I can say is that this has been by far one of the best dry bar experiences and I have been here…read morequite a bit. Well not always this location, but drybar in general. My appt was at 1 and I did have to wait until 1:30 to get a stylist. Thank goodness, I wasn't in a hurry. I am also understanding of the fact that no one was just standing around, every single person was working diligently. I wish I could remember the name of my stylist, but she called my name and went to washing my hair quickly. She was very personable and talked to me along the way which is great. She asked what style I wanted and I never know the name, so I told her waves and made a gesture with my hands of how I want it to look and she knew right away. When I tell you that this blowout lasted me a good 4 days and probably could have went a bit more had I not decided to work out and sweat in that 4th day! I have never had the waves last that long. They usually fall out and I don't know if that's my hair or the products being used, but it was fantastic. Just rang a big comb through it each day and it was just as fabulous as the first day!

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my experience at Dry Bar in midtown. I usually go to another…read moresalon in Buckhead i wanted to try this one. My stylist at this location did not detangle my hair with care. She was practically ripping my hair out. She used a flat iron at 420°F, and after washing my hair a week later, I noticed that the front sections of my natural hair were no longer reverting to their original curl pattern. I have straightened my hair numerous of times and this has never happened until now. I wish more care had been taken to protect my natural texture during the service.

First off, I wasnt even going to do a review on @maggiestylez_ I was just going to take my L in…read moresilence but after burning my self 5+ times trying to wand curl my hair at 1am I got pissed off. I would advise you to take this review into consideration & the other reviews about her if you haven't already booked with her. I made my appointment for 12 May , 7pm around 30 April for my bday Photoshoot & trip to vegas on 13 May & Paid my deposit on the site. I was just coming from Germany and I don't know about the ATL area like that but I had seen her instagram years ago and thought about her for the particular look I Was trying to do, her work LOOKS fire. I was supposed to drop my wig off as her site said but I didn't have the address a phone number or nothing but I assumed since she's active on IG getting in contact with her wouldn't be a problem. The site also says your appointment will be canceled if you don't bring it in a head of time. 3 days before my appointment I messaged her on IG, commented on her post, and tagged her in a post. No response. I would have just cancelled but my card was on file from the deposit & I couldn't get a hold of her. So Then I googled her IG name & found her address & #. Reached out to her explaining the situation & she was dry & unresponsive even then, so when she stopped replying, I waited til next morning, now we are day of.. I text her the address I found and ask her to confirm. At this point I'm like whatever I can deal with the attitude I need my hair done for this shoot, because who am I gone find on such short notice, then I'll just be on my way. She then calls me at 335pm asking if I could "come any earlier" I'm like how much earlier she like now. So since she was already dry and unresponsive I was just wanted to get my hair done as soon as possible and be done. I arrive to the address around 5 (main reason I was trying to get the address) it was going to take me an hour to get to ATL. She could've explained about how the entrance to her building. With a building like that Most stylists know their customers have issues finding the actual entrance, but maybe she don't talk to her customers just her friends while doing they hair.. you have to walk around (3min or so) the actual building to get To the salon & somebody has to Let you in. She let me in around 5, took my wig and didn't get start until after 6, she didn't have a braid my hair which she expressed excitement about so she could leave early for the day. Only time she talked to me was to ask about the part but I figure she the professional and know how lay a wig so I Don't need to tell her where the wig should go. She laid the wig right to left vs middle and sides instead of middle to sides but ok whatever. She didn't even use alcohol to clean the space before applying the glue but cool. She then starts to do the wand curl after blow drying hair and says that the hair won't curl and it's bad hair So after a while I'm like ok then we won't do it, When I look in mirror it looks as if my eddy monster is sticking out my hair line, she said it wasn't and my eddy monster was behind the wig, she said she don't put wigs on foreheads because it will look crazy then she said she don't put wigs on the hair line. So where does the wig go? It's behind my eddy monster LOL, the eddy monster is out, after convo she asked if I just wanted her to take it off, but she wouldn't be able to reapply it because she has to get her son from school (7pm). She didn't charge me for the waves she said she couldn't do but now for the main reason I'm doing to this review, I got home and used my own wand curlers and it curled so that's what pissed me off because she was so ready to get out of there she said she couldn't do what probably would've added another 40 min to the appointment... She is heavy-handed, inconsiderate, not friendly or welcoming. Sad because I was not expecting this treatment, she mad ghetto though.

This was the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL hair experience I've ever…read morehad. If I could give a negative star I would. The day of the appt the stylist had me show up 3 hours AFTER my scheduled time, making me late to my makeup appt. When asked if I would be done in time Maggie said, " Do you want your hair done or not?! I'm the stylist so don't rush me." I ONLY stayed for the wig install because I had no one else to take me on short notice, as I had a photoshoot that same day. Not only that, I requested to have the hair highlighted and made sure the wig was given at least 3 days in advance. I found out on THE DAY of my appt that she "Couldn't do highlights." All in all I didn't get the style I originally wanted. Save your money. There are plenty of GREAT AND PROFESSIONAL hair stylists in Atlanta. Maggie just isn't one of them. Ghetto, Rude, and UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
