My sister booked an appointment for me and 7 other ladies. This was my third dress appointment, but the only one I brought my bridesmaids and MIL to. I was worried about bringing that many people to an appointment, but Cathy and her staff accommodated all of us and provided extra seating. The shop is bigger than it looks. However, most of its space is occupied by their showroom. They have 5 or so dressing rooms and a nice big "stage" that can only accommodate two appointments at a time. There was another group during our appointment and the other bride and I shared the stage. I would have preferred a more private dressing room with its own stage, but it wasn't a biggie. FY had great variety of dresses from wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, MOB dresses, to prom dresses. Competitive prices. We were greeted upon entering and Cathy assisted us throughout the process. She listened to my likes as well as our budget. I showed her photos of dresses I liked from previous appointments and she pulled dresses similar to them. I already had an idea of what dress I wanted. I was set on an off the shoulder dress, but I did not want a true off the shoulder because I knew it would limit my arm movements. I wanted a strapless dress that I could add straps to. Cathy pulled a Stella York strapless fit and flair and the same Stella York straps I found from another shop. The dress was absolutely stunning! It was everything I wanted and more. It also looked more expensive than it really was. I received numerous compliments. Very pleased with my experience at Formally Yours and have already recommended them to future brides, and will continue to! In planning for my wedding I scheduled a consultation appointment with this business through their website. This appointment was confirmed at least 3 separate times during the weekdays prior to the date of the appointment, even as close as the night before. The morning of the appointment I received a call from the shop informing me that my appointment would be canceled because brides with sooner weddings would need their dresses before I would. This was literally what they said to me during the phone call. There was mention of COVID policies nor apologizes were provided; although, they did offer to reschedule for a later date. This was after waiting until last minute to reschedule and being generally inconsiderate of my time. I declined to reschedule with this business since I felt like they obviously were prioritizing other brides and did not care about holding the appointment they made and confirmed. When I posted a review to their business' Google page I was met with excuses and still no acknowledgement of any inconvenience or wrong doing on their part. I purchased my wedding dress from a different business and highly recommend anyone else do so as well. With the large selection of bridal stores to go to, I would recommend checking out other stores. I really enjoyed working with Tammy, who was very nice. She, however, took my measurements and stated I was one size above (6) what I actually ended up buying. Trusting my gut and my own measurements, I went with a 4...turned out this was the perfect fit. I am so glad I did not go with the store's measurements. The owner, Cathy, is nice up until the moment you mention the price budget. We regret buying from this store as her demeanor and attitude changed almost instantly when we told her our budget and asked for her to match that. If she was not willing to meet her customer's budgets, why does she even bother to ask and then display a rude and unwelcoming demeanor afterwards? The day we came to pick up the dress, she appeared "busy" and did not even to greet us when we came to pick up the dress. She made eye contact with us but continued to just look away. This kind of passive aggressive behavior was not kind and extremely rude, especially coming from the store owner. I am so glad that at least her mother-in-law was kind enough to say hello to us and show us to my dress. My mother and I were so upset that we gave this store business and will not be going back. There are plenty of other stores in the metro-Atlanta area that offer same selection of dresses and better customer service. Please spare yourself the trouble. I called this morning because I ordered the Kimora Maggie Sottero dress ($3,995.14). We are spending over 80k on our wedding and I wanted to make sure I had my dream dress. I tried the dress on at home at it fit wonderfully however, recently trying the dress on seemed as if the train was smaller than when I tried on the dress in the store. I initially was speaking to one of her employees and asked if the wrong dress was ordered. The employee explained that you can only order one type dress (no accommodations). I asked if I could come to the store and compare dresses and cathy got on the phone. C-A-T-H-Y Butler, owner of 42 year old family business, made sure to spell her name out correctly when I asked for her name and that she is the owner of Formally Yours. And described herself and included that she was white in her description. My issue with Cathy is that I had questions and wanted to verify that it was the same dress however, her tone, arrogance and condescending attitude over the phone was distasteful. After she gave me her background information and family history she finally told me that the model dress in store had been sold. She could have respectfully told me this in the beginning with less of an argumentative tone. I feel hurt, upset and disrespected when I should have been talked to like a normal human being with respect and kindness, especially when spending money in her family business. This has been a memorable despicable experience and I will make sure to tell others. read more

Weird, right -- since I found THE dress here? To explain... When I first arrived and told them my budget, they seemed disappointed and sort of had a judgmental air to it. Marisa was still nice and professional about it though. She found me a dress that I was told cost $xxx. Okay, it's within budget as I confirmed with her again before I departed the store. [A week later] When I came back yesterday to try the dress back on with some girlfriends, the same "air" and tenseness I felt when I first stopped by still lingered. And finally the topping to my overall unpleasantness: I was almost charged the incorrect amt. I was quoted one amt when my fiance and I were there and then told another amt since the store manager said that's what Marissa said via text. Needless to say, the expression on her face when I said I was misquoted and would not move forward with the purchase if that was the price was one of unpleasantness. She was def unhappy when she handed me my credit card back as she "corrected" what was supposed to be my quoted price. I don't know what to say about this place since it has 3 solid stars to begin with. The dresses are nicely displayed and you should feel excited about being there, but I just didn't have those warm fuzzy feelings. Of the 3 associates I encountered, I didn't get that genuineness at all. I honestly would say stay away from this place if your budget isn't super high. Mine wasn't unreasonable as I found some nice dresses at David's. Overall, our experience was very enjoyable. The staff of ladies are very helpful and friendly. On our first appointment, a young lady was assigned to assist us in choosing dresses and as we tried on dress after dress, she enthusiastically helped us with pinning and unpinning and offering suggestions. None of the other places we visited matched their level of customer service. For the dress we chose, their prices were comparable to ordering online and when it came down to purchasing, the decision was easy to go with Formally Yours. This store was the first stop on my dress hunt. I was able to book my appointment online which was convenient. The store is fairly small I had about 7 people with me to try on dresses and only 2 were able to sit. The young lady assisting me had me try on several dresses that i didnt really like but the manager stepped in and picked the WINNER in minutes! They were having a trunk sale that weekend, not sure if this is a normal thing, which brought the price down but the price was still out of my budget. I was able to find the dress else where at half the price. I will say that they have a nice selection and a lot of sizes but I also recommend doing some research on the price of the dress you want. read more

I am so glad I waited until I visited Formally Yours to find my dress. I went to national stores and one more exclusive store in the Atlanta area and just couldnt "click" with any dress. As soon as I walked in I got this amazing vibe from the store. All the ladies that worked there were nice and welcoming. The store is relatively small but so nice and cozy- and most importantly they have a great selection of dresses. I was assigned Cara (I think I spelled that correctly) and she was amazing. She knew exactly what to ask and picked out dresses for me. She was patient and sweet and extremely helpful. I had the chance to meet the owner too and she was so amazing. She had lots of insightful info and she helped me pick a dress that I could get the top in one size and bottom in another to reduce cost and labor in alterations (small waist big hips problems!) This was possibly the worst bridal store I visited. It had nothing to do with the actual store. Everything seemed really nice and organized and the dresses looked gorgeous. I'm giving this place one star because I was never acknowledged... not a single greeting or anything. I decided to stop by the store because I'd seen a few ads via social media. When I arrived there was a lady who appeared to be the manager sitting at the front desk. It seems as if she was helping a bride in the store at the time so I excused not initially receiving a welcome. The only customers in the store at the time were the bride and her family and me. I believe there were at least two other employees in the store at the time. I was there looking for bridesmaids dresses and had to figure out where exactly they were placed in the store because again... no one approached me. I viewed the bridesmaid dresses for at least 10 minutes... still nobody came over to ask if I needed help or what I was looking for. At this time I knew I would not purchase anything at this store but I decided to wait 5 more minutes just to see if anybody would come over. Nope.... by this time the bride and her family were gone and there was another employee visibly doing nothing but rearranging dresses. I walked out of the store and nobody said anything to me at all. Do not go to this store if you expect hospitality! I believe it is blatantly disrespectful to ignore customers. I had been to 4 other stores the same day shopping for my wedding dress. Every single other store was crude and snooty to my party and I when we walked in. I expected the same from this store, but I was so beyond wrong. Tammy greeted us and helped us from the moment we went in. When we described the dress to her, she had exactly what I was looking for! I have mixed feelings about this place. On my first appointment in July of 2018, i was able to find the ONE. Tammy was very helpful and knew my vision. I fell in love instantly with the first dress i tried on. Crazy right. However, I tried on several others even left and went to other boutiques to try on dresses but I would always compare it to the first one I tried on. So of course I went back and said YES to my dress! Even though it was out of my budget, my fiancé wanted me to be happy and made a stretch to get me the dress I fell in love with. I was told it would take about 6m to arrive. At that time I was 8m away from our wedding day so it was perfect! I also bought my cathedral veil here that I also loved so much! I receive a call in November that my dress and veil were in. Perfect! I had time to do alterations without any rush! I was happy. However, when I arrived to the shop, the dress that had arrived for me was NOT MY DRESS! This dress had beading and the color was brownish( off-white). Needless to say, it was not the dress I had picked! My stomach dropped immediately, and I couldn't hold back tears as soon as I got home to my fiancé. Truly distraught at the thought that my dress would possibly not make it on time now. At this point I had less than 3 months from my day. My biggest disappointment and problem with the shop was the I NEVERRRR received an apology from anyone! Not any of the staff, if anything, the girl who "took care of the situation" made it seem like it was my fault. Said she would figure out what we could do and call me back that same day. I Never received that call and since it was a Saturday, I decided to give them time til Monday. I personally had to call them back and remind them that I never received a call about what solution was possible. Yes they were able to "express order" MYY dress, but their lack of great customer service let me down. I am a month away from my wedding and is still waiting. According to the owner Cathy, who also never apologized for the mistake her staff made, the dress is guaranteed to be in by the end of this month in January. On top of that, I have alterations to worry about in order for it to be done on time. I have been extremely stressed and all because someone did not double check their work. read more

She basically pulled a few dresses and left us alone to help another customer. When we asked for help to clip the dresses up (cause the samples were not the right size), she didn't help. She basically said, "we just get the standard sample pack that all the stores get and we don't get a variety of sizes". They had the clips, but I had to get them myself and clip my MOH in. The associate seemed completely unfazed that most of the dresses were far too small for us to even get a decent idea of what it would look like. She probably hates her job and it shows. I found a dress online that I really wanted to get, but I surely was not going to buy it without trying it on first. I called every boutique in the Atlanta area that carries the designer and this was the only place that had it. I wouldn't recommend this being your first stop for trying dresses on, and luckily it was not mine. It's definitely more in the DIY vein. I had to put the dress on myself and ask the girl standing outside to clip the dress to my body. In the end, mission accomplished. I ended up ordering the dress but from the place I already had a deposit on another one so it would transfer upon my cancellation. They seemed to have a decent selection and the store was spacious. She exclaimed that it would be almost a perfect fit with maybe no alterations AT ALL. Mind you, my street size is a 2, ( I know wedding dresses run small so I went with it). When I received my gown it was HUGE! Three of me could fit inside the dress. They suggested an alternation specialist to fix my dress. While we didn't have an appointment and it was obvious that this was a busy time for them (Saturday around 3 p.m.) they still showered us with attention.
