I had the most wonderful experience with Ruthie! Scheduling with her assistant was so easy. She specializes in natural, radiant looks that highlight your features without ever feeling overdone--and I absolutely loved how I looked and felt after our session. Her touch is gentle and the result was exactly what I envisioned! Her studio is not only stunning--clean, welcoming, and beautifully designed--but it also reflects who she is: calm, kind, and full of great energy. Ruthie has a beautiful spirit inside and out, and that shines through in her work and how she treats her clients. If you're looking for someone who will make you feel both beautiful and completely at ease, I can't recommend Ruthie enough. She's a true blessing. read more

I am extremely picky when it comes to having my make up done. I am not personally very good at doing my own, but if I pay for someone else to do it, I want it be dang good! I have been a part of many weddings and have never "loved" my make up as a bridesmaid. So, for my own wedding, I wanted to find someone who could nail the glam look for an affordable price. Fortunately, I found Ruth on Instagram. After looking through her portfolio on IG, Facebook, Yelp, and on her website, I decided I needed to at least have a trial with her. I am so glad I did!!! I still have my make up on from this morning's make-up trial and I do not want to take it off! It's been over 9 hours now and it still looks great. I have been getting lots of compliments all day, especially after posting a picture on social media. Our trial was done at her home in Duluth/John's Creek. I entered through the back of the house to get to her studio. Ruth was very pleasant and professional. We started as soon as I arrived. She really listened and delivered! My make up turned out better than I expected. I am excited for my make up on my wedding day! read more

I recently got married 1 month ago and I can not say enough amazing things about Ruthie! She was well beyond professional from my makeup trial all the way to glamming me up for all 4 of my wedding events. She understood exactly what I envisioned and she understood how nervous I was because I've never seen myself as a bride and I can not thank Ruthie ENOUGH for the way she glammed me up!! I had about 4 other bridesmaids getting their makeup done by Ruthie. I was a bit worried at first to see how we could possibly manage 4 bridesmiads + a bride but WOW Ruthie was quick, precise, professional, ON TIME (which is a big thing for me), and she KILLED every look for everyone. Ruthie is EXTREMELY professional, very friendly, and personable. She makes it crystal clear when you are in the process of booking her that she CAN NOT confirm your wedding date until you pay a deposit. That's a very fair ask for any makeup artist. Anyone saying otherwise is nuts. Ruthie - I can not thank you enough seriously for making me feel like a TRUE princess and one-upping my own makeup looks every day! I can not pick which makeup look I love the best from my wedding weekend! 4 events, 4 completely different looks and 1 incredibly happy bride!! :D read more

I took a private makeup lesson with Ruthie today and it was worth EVERY penny!! I'm an aspiring makeup artist. She helped me with technique and explained what she was doing, what color she was using and why she was doing something. I'm blown away by how much I learned & the end result. I would highly recommend a private class with her! If your just wanting to learn to do makeup on yourself or become a makeup artist, it's worth it. I'm so happy with all the knowledge I got. She's a great teacher. She's patient and detail oriented. 10 stars!! read more

Ruthie did my makeup and my bridesmaids' makeup for my wedding about a month ago and did an amazing job. I had gone to three different makeup artists for trials and couldn't find anyone who did my makeup how I wanted, but she nailed the look that I was going for. She arrived early at the hotel with another artist to assist her and they both worked quickly and efficiently to do all of our makeup. And they had just done another bridal party a few hours prior! They listed to everything my bridesmaids and I wanted and we all looked glammed up and great in the wedding pictures! I was referred to Ruthie by a client of mine who used her for her wedding and now I will happily recommend her to anyone else who needs bridal makeup as well. She goes above and beyond to give you what you want and make you look beautiful for your special day! read more

Ruthie did a beautiful makeup session for me. We took pictures at the end of the session so I could attempt the look myself. I also had hoped to use them for a professional headshot. Ruthie was supposed to send the pictures once she edited them. It's been a month and after many attempts to contact her for the photos, I've not heard anything back. I paid for the session in full, yet Ruthie didn't finish the job. While I think Ruthie is crazy talented, she didn't follow through and finish the job. read more

Ruthie did such an amazing job for my wedding makeup!!! Glam is the perfect word to describe it. My makeup looked flawless and photographed so well. The trial was super helpful, and we even had a call on what we would change for the wedding day. She came recommended and now I know exactly why! She didn't do basic makeup, she really is very talented and gave me a unique and special look for my big day, but I still looked like myself, which is so difficult to do! I couldn't have felt better about the entire experience, high recommend!! read more

Ruth is amazing at what she does. I'm so grateful I had her do my wedding makeup and all my bridesmaids & mom's makeup (Aug 2016). Even after the trial makeup run, I knew she was the one! It's really hard to find MUA that knows how to do Asian/monolid eyes and make them bigger! My makeup lasted well through the night and I looked fabulous in all the wedding photos. And my skin didn't break out afterwards (I have really sensitive skin). Please don't hesitate to book her. read more

I would considered myself to be one of the luckiest clients to have my makeup done by one of Georgia's Top Makeup Artists. She is not only brilliant and meticulously talented at facial contouring, but her energy level was always on top. Her presence was unforgettable and her works are irreplaceable. The price that she charges for all the extra efforts that she invests into making you look miraculously beautiful on your special day is not even comparable. I was so disappointed with Ruth. From the beginning of my service, I told Ruth that I have dry skin and therefore don't like for there to be too many powders on my face. She insisted on powdering me up anyway since I was attending a wedding. I agreed to minimal powder but she didn't listen, she over-did the powder to the point of me having dry patches all over my face. Additionally, I asked her during the middle of her applying my concealer if she had forgotten to apply foundation or was going to do that later, and she told me I didn't need foundation. Now, I have pretty clear skin, but foundation is a must for any glam look. If I'm attending a wedding where I'll be a bridesmaid and I'll be photographed and I'll be under spotlights dancing, how do you expect my makeup to look good or last without a base? Foundation is so necessary for skin to look flawless in high definition photography and not looked washed out under harsh lights. Foundation is what helps blush/contour/highlight stick to your skin better & last longer through hours of dancing. I was shocked that she refused to apply foundation on me and said that the concealer and powder would be enough. But because I didn't want to argue with her, I let her continue. As if this wasn't annoying enough, she decided to use finish my look by using a TONER as setting spray. On dry skin.... Any seasoned makeup artist knows that toners usually contain alcohol (which dries your skin up more) and toners like the Mario Badescu one she used on me, are not suitable for dry skin, nor do they work as makeup setting sprays!! For $125, you should expect the artist to use an actual setting spray, apply foundation, and listen to your skin concerns / needs. Not to mention, her website says that a makeup touch up kit is included but she never offered that to me or my sister. By the time I got to the wedding event, I could see dry patches caused by too much powder all over my face, and I could see the Hyperpigmentation under my eyes and around my mouth from the lack of foundation & color corrector. I actually cried and washed my face and re-did my makeup myself because I refused to look so horrid in all the photos. I would never recommend glambyruthie to anyone, and I sincerely feel like I wasted $125. read more

Ruth did my make up for a wedding and her eye-shadowing skills are stunning! My eyes looked big, high nose, just picture perfect!! It took her a little over an hour and she uses high end products so it didn't irritate my skin. She doesn't do hair but she threw in some curls and dolled me up, love her for that! read more

I unfortunately had a very poor experience. She was slow to get back to me when coordinating my trial on several occasions and then I did my trial and I did not like my makeup. She tried to fix it but it just got worse. I was too embarrassed to even stop at the grocery store on the way home. She said I could come back for another trial. My wedding is in September so I have PLENTY of time. I just contacted her to redo the trial and she had booked my date without saying anything to me. I was livid that I just paid $100 for a poor trial and now my date is not even available. She refused to refund me. I am going with a different person now and will not make the same mistake twice. She does not run a very professional service and I would not trust her with my big day. read more

Ruthie did my makeup for my wedding. I have NEVER felt so beautiful in my entire life. She is a very good makeup artist that is friendly and professional at the same time. She makes you feel very comfortable and listens to your needs and wants but also gives you her expert suggestions. What I like about her is that she does not over do it. Many people that get into her business use too much makeup, but her work is always very classy and glamorous. She can turn any Plain Jane to the girl next door. read more

Ruthie did my makeup at a family friends wedding, and I couldn't stop looking at myself. My makeup was so beautiful, clean and natural looking with a little boost. At this wedding, they had 2 different makeup artists, and the mother of the bride had gotten horrible makeup done by the other artist. The bride was so upset, and we had such little time, but Ruthie fixed it. She is a miracle worker when it comes to make up. Hands down she is the best!! She is highly in demand so book in advance!!
