Was feeling unwell so wanted to order some healthier food options to try to feel better via uber eats to my hotel for dinner and this place popped up as an option. The highlights: the banana bread was pretty good (but the edges were a bit dry), the salad dressing was good and I dipped the semi dried out bread slices in it. The not so great - did not like the taste of the feta in the salad and the pears were super brown and gritty, not fresh at all. I didn't end up eating it. The smoothie didn't taste of much and was just cool (wished it was really cold) and contained kale, lemon, apple, pineapple but was a let down. I also ordered a fruit cup and most of the contents were either way over ripe or way under. Would not order from here again. read more

The salads here are so delicious. We order delivery and the service has always been great. I love that you can customize the ingredients. The dressings are DIVINE. You can have an amazing salad for a very reasonable amount of calories, if that is important to you. I'm surprised how soft the kale is here compared to other places. I enjoyed the kale here more than in any salad I have tried yet. The prices are on par with any other entrée sized salads at restaurants. The portion is very generous. The falafel salad was so good, the falafels tasted so good. I just think the portions were too big, but i guess that's what it is when your paying $20. I think it's made to be shared. Came after a workout for a much needed healthy lunch. The place is filled with lovely succulents and a line of salad goodies at the front. At around 1:30pm, Fork and Salad wasn't very busy, so I had my salad made in minutes! Dragon's Garden: I was in the mood for alot of kale and spinach; trust me, this salad has it all. The server overfilled my bowl, you could barely see the carrots, sprouts, tofu and beets. I couldn't finish the salad in two sittings! I also asked for light dressing and Sriracha on the side. The salad may be more flavorful with the Sriracha mixed in. Overall, for $15 I got ALOT of salad, but I wish they added more of the other veggies. read more

It was my first time going there. The decoration and the atmosphere was very appealing. They don't use plastic bowls or other toxic containers. That is a very valuable thing for me. When I looked at the menu, first I thought the prices are expensive for salad. But when I got my salad and I saw the portion and the amount of meat and cheese in it I realized that it's not an expensive place. I had the chicken salad. The dressing and the chicken were both really good. I like that they show the calories for each salad on their menu. The staff was very friendly and it seemed they know what they are doing. The quality of the food was pretty good. I noticed they had a lot of take out orders which shows there are a lot of people who enjoy their salads. I have ordered both take out and dine in from Fork and Salad. The staff are nice and the place offers a large variety of salads, toppings and mix-ins. However, it is very expensive. The salads themselves are quite costly, not to mention all the toppings and sides. The location is very convenient for me but I often opt out as I find it hard to justify a $20+ salad that is nothing special. read more

I wanted to check out the other reviews of this place after hubby and I ate here to see if others felt the same...and they did. It is EXPENSIVE. Delicious yes, but too pricey. I feel like we could make these salads at home for a 1/4 of the cost. Yes there is the whole "convenience" thing, but they're still too costly IMO. For our two salads it came to $40 without tip. I like a lot about Fork and Salad and feel it has great potential. The salads are massive- I've been there several times now and have yet to be able to finish one.The "house made ice tea" aguas frescas are delicious and something Calgary needs to see more of. But this is the thing: I got a make-your-own-salad last time and something seemed...missing. Ingredients were fresh and lovely but there was till a dullness to it. Then it hit me: SALT. This salad, to which I had added a hard boiled egg and avocado - two ingredients that really need salt- was underseasoned. So I went to the counter and asked the manager if I could get some salt. He informed me that "we have no salt in this restaurant." NO SALT! Look, folks, I just had a fantastic lunch at Coup and we noted that there were indeed those shakers of pepper and poisonous salt on the table. We didn't die. Salt isn't a demon and in the same way you allow customers to decide their level of dressing, you should at least allow them the OPTION of a few grains of salt. Salt, please. We ordered from here through DoorDash last night. There was an error with our order, the store made the wrong size salad and DoorDash did not confine the order when it was picked up. After getting disconnected with DoorDash twice they finally reordered out salad and reordered the wrong item. After DoorDash picked up the incorrect item again the manager called me as he noticed the error and personally brought our food out and added a few extra items. They went over and above what they needed to do for something that was not their fault. The salads were well made and tasted amazing. Good food and good service I highly recommend them. read more

I wrote a review when this restaurant first opened, saying it was fairly expensive and I probably wouldn't be back. But...it's just so good. I've back back an embarrassing amount of times since then, so I'll rewrite my review. This place is still expensive, but it's delicious and you get huge portions. However, it seems SO dependent on who makes your salad. I'll go in one day and get a perfectly portioned, well made salad, and then I'll go in the next day and get a giant bowl of lettuce with a couple onions in it. Half the time they forget to add at least one of the ingredients and I always feel a bit bad asking for it (even though it's written on the menu as being part of the salad.) I wish it were a bit cheaper, although I understand why it isn't, but I just wish all the employees would be on the same page about how to make the salads and ensure that all the ingredients are making their way in. I'm sure I'll keep coming in though because I'm hooked at this point. read more

I ordered dinner from this restaurant, including beef barley soup, as I called to see what soup they were serving. What I received for a charge of $10, was Campbell's chunky soup heated up! I called and told the manager that I wasn't happy, and she passed me off to Door Dash who refused to credit me! I will never order from here again, or use Door Dash! I'll start of with staying I really WANTED to like Fork and Salad. There aren't enough healthy food options in Calgary. However, to my dismay - I completely agree with the first two reviews. It is expensive and the salads are bland and underwhelming. Although it seems like you get good value as they are huge ... sadly, the lack of toppings, seasoning and lack of dressing make it hugely disappointing - you may as well buy a bag of spinach and kale from Safeway and eat it straight. I know they opened only recently, but I hope they make some quick corrections otherwise I don't see it lasting. read more

Was pretty good for what i was expecting. FOr a new place the staff wasn't overly friendly or open to explaining how it works, but it was busy so I appreciate them moving the line through. I couldn't finish the whole thing in one seating and brought it back to work. The dressing was a bit watery and definitely lost its flavour. Everyone likes their salads differently. I will say although pricey these salads are massive, as such I had to spread it over lunch and dinner. Secondly, also very dependant on how you like your salad, ask for half dressing or on the side because I feel like I ate half a bottle of ranch and it wasn't pleasant. I had the "Home on the Range" salad, the Jicama is really funky not sure if I would let them put it in next time and definitely half the ranch. Terrible customer service experience. While we have been loyal FS customers for years we had a bad experience on August 4th. We ordered 35$ of salads to go. Two hummus do you love Me (one with chicken). When we got home, not only were the falafels in one entirely forgotten (keep in mind this was meant to be THE only protein in this one and what essentially is paid for). But there were also no pita chips in both. As we had previous good experiences I messaged management immediately to let them know to see if they could rectify and offer a credit, as $35 for two salads is not cheap. They messaged back right away (great!) and said they were going to look into it. I explained the individual making them and the time we were there to pick up. Fast forward to 6 days later and no response, no apologies, no credit. I messaged them following up again - I can see it was read - still no response. While the salads and food (when done correctly) are great, how does one expect a company to survive or when the customer service is so poor. Especially when this is not an unreasonable request but rather an error on Fork and Salad itself that you would think they have a duty correct. Severely disappointed. read more

Took the salad home to enjoy after leaving Goodlife only to discover that there was no chicken in the giant bowl of arugula filled with onion cores and cucumber ends.
