Physzique Fitness is a joke…read more...... My wife and I were loyal clients of that gym (Kennewick Studio) since January of 2016. We joined because we wanted to try something new and participate in a fitness challenge to see what kind of results we could get if we were held accountable. We paid a total of $521.28 to participate in that challenge. We met a lot of great people and had awesome trainers. We both ended up doing extremely well but unfortunately did not win that challenge. My wife and I participated in a second challenge in May of 2016. We spent $590.00 total for the challenge and monthly dues for the chance to win some of our money back if we placed in the challenge. Once again, we did well, we were told we made top 3 male and female for that challenge, but were unaware we had won prize money until we received a letter from Physzique in September. The letter stated we both won $250 and would have to fill out the included W-9 tax forms before receiving our checks. It also stated our checks would be mailed out by November 18th 2016. We both were excited that we would be receiving a 'Christmas Bonus'. I received an email from Physzique on November 22nd that included a generic 'We are sorry to inform you' letter stating that due to the fact they closed the Kennewick, West Richland, and Yakima studios, they had to freeze their funds and could not pay us our winnings. I immediately responded to the email that day requesting answers. By December 6th, I had not received any kind of response. I called Physzique's office in Spokane and explained my situation to the girl that answered the phone. She had no answers for me and sent me to the voicemail of someone in billing that supposedly would have answers. No one answered the phone and I had to leave a message requesting a call back. I waited for a call until January 4th, 2017 and had yet to receive one. So, I called back and again spoke to someone who had no answers. I asked to be sent to someone who could give me answers and again received the voicemail. I left another message requesting a call back. I waited for a call until January 9th and had yet to receive one. I called back again and this time asked to speak to the owner, I was put on hold for a minute or two and then told the owner was not there (Imagine that) but I could be sent to his voicemail. I left a voicemail for the owner (Zack) requesting his call back as soon as possible. I waited for a call until January 16th and surprise, surprise, still no call. I called back again and spoke to a girl named Nicole who too did not have any answers for me. She told me that the owner and his assistant were both out of the office (Convenient) and asked if I wanted to be sent to Zack's voicemail again. I told her no, that does not seem to work, and asked her to write a message down and put it on his desk stating I have been calling for the past two months and have not received any answers. She stated she would leave a message for me. I called again on January 19th since I had still not heard anything. I spoke to Nicole again and was told the owner was not in (Starting to see a pattern here). Nicole stated she would leave another message for me. I called today and spoke with a girl named Christina (sp?) and again was told that the owner and his assistant were out of the office. I asked her if she had any way of getting a hold of the owner and she said yes. I requested that she get a message to the owner, however she can, and let him know that I would like some answers on why we have yet to receive the money. I don't like bad talking companies, but this has been the most unprofessional and ridiculous experience I have ever encountered in dealing with a business. I also find it interesting that Physzique continues to have challenges and award banquets for their remaining studios while leaving winning participants wondering why they have not received their winnings months after they were promised. There is NOTHING about be trained personally at all. They try to sell themselves as personal trainers but, their is nothing personal about them. Most of the trainers are flabby so, they are not very motivating at all. They do NOT teach form, so you can get physical hurt very easy. To give you some perspective I was member for about 5 months and while not very flashy it does get the job done if you're looking for a no-frills sort of place to work out. I'd say the two most attractive aspects of it are the location (right in the heart of downtown and they have parking) and the price (very reasonable for month to month members). Both of these factored in heavily to me deciding to join. Once you're actually in the gym they'll pretty much have everything you're looking for plus a few bonuses. They have your standard assortment of free weights, machines and cardio. In addition, they have a basketball court, spinning room and pool. So it's not that they are lacking anything, it's more like things aren't as great as they seem at first. Once you start looking below the surface is when you start coming up with issues. I'll start with the basketball court/setup. The court and goals are fine. But there is legitimately only one decent basketball worth playing with. If someone has that then you're kind of out of luck and will have to grab some of the tatter crappy ones. The cardio room is loaded with machines but the electronics on so many of them are broken that it's pretty depressing. There are a few TVs but you have to get the employee to change the channel for you which a pain. They also don't let you keep the remote so there is no channel surfing. You better know what you want to watch. There also isn't any audio for the TVs. There are subtitles but if that isn't your thing then I'd suggest downloading the Tunity ap so you can stream the audio in. The bathroom and locker room just aren't 360's strong point. It's rather dated and people are constantly leaving stuff and not cleaning up after themselves. One of my biggest gripes was that, while part of the gym is open 24 hours a day, the other parts were consistently not open when they should have been. To elaborate, you always have access to the main floor weights and cardio. But the second floor and pool are locked and only open when there is an employee present. I seriously lost count of how many times these should have been open but no employee showed up. Again, pluses and minuses. And if was I was still in CDA I would probably still be a member so it gets 3 stars. You'll be able to get in a decent workout. Just know what you're getting into.

We landed on this one to do our first ever drop-in because it seemed friendly, easy to get to, the pictures represented it well, and (bonus) they had their WODs posted a day ahead. We are so glad we did. This box is clean, well-organized and full of friendly faces. Everyone introduced themselves and made us feel welcome. Erin quickly greeted us and explained several of the movements to us, as we had never seen them in a workout before. If you are in the area and looking for a box to join, for a drop-in or for a lifetime...have no trepidation about Predation!!
