Dr. Womack listened to every detail of my tooth ache complaint and address every issue during the consultation and then fit me into his schedule the next day. The entire staff put me at ease in the face of fear about the ordeal of having an aborted root canal and much pain leading up to the surgery yesterday. All of the weird "referral pain" was gone immediately and I only lingering surgery pain that is being relieved by the ice procedures and medication they prescribed. Dental stuff is never "Good Times" but this practice made it as easy as can be expected my experience was "better than expected!!" I came in as a new patient and hoping to take care of a couple teeth that were becoming increasingly more sensitive due to the cavities they had. My mouth was in pretty bad shape and I already knew that going in. I was reminded of that fact several times throughout the short visit and he ultimately came across as dismissive and uninterested. They have a decent energy in the office (no real rudeness of any kind) but the visit definitely felt rushed. He also told me what he was going to be doing to my teeth rather than asking me what I was able to afford to do (since I lack insurance). He insisted that I get a couple teeth removed by an oral surgeon first (who I have recently set up a consultation with under Dr. Spaulding's advice) before I could get any other work done. This is understandable if the other teeth that need removal are somehow in the way of further treatment. I'm a college student with a limited income and I was going to be paying completely out of pocket so I was hoping to get a few teeth worked on at a time - that was never an option. His practice insisted I get them all done at once. He also insisted that the longer I wait, the worse my teeth will get - which I completely know & understand but how can I do that if I can't afford to get them done all at once? Why not help me handle the one's that were giving me immediate trouble and that I could afford to deal with at the time? After receiving this news, he left in a haste and seemed insistent that I immediately leave. I paid and left the office. It was a discouraging visit. At this point, I have thankfully raised the money I need to fix all of my teeth at his office (several thousand dollars worth of work) but I don't think I'll be returning. Even though I'm somewhat established here, I will most likely take my business elsewhere and get established there. I've seen a lot of positive reviews on here, and that may have been the experience for most people but it definitely wasn't mine. I had their in-house insurance and they canceled it without any notification. I went in for my cleaning appointment that I had pre-booked six months in advance. They did extra services but didn't discuss any estimate or pricing with me and they certainly didn't let me know that I was now a cash paying patient upon walking in. I asked about my permanent retainer I have behind my teeth slightly poking and the dentist came in and fix it within five minutes. He didn't discuss pricing or even what he was doing. Just did it and left. Later on I found out that was $80 extra dollars for that. I would have declined as it wasn't super pressing but I wasn't given the option to even discuss it before he just did it and left. Not to mention the hygienist was incredibly unpleasant and rough the whole time. I had cuts all in my mouth for a few days after my appointment. There was a lady that was working there before who was absolutely amazing and I was bummed she wasn't there when I came in. When I walked out the lady at the front desk said "You're all set!" And I left assuming it was covered under my insurance as it had been every other appointment I have had here. Then I ended up getting a bill in the mail for $540. I called to ask why and she said they had canceled the insurance. I told her I never receive notification of that and I would not have agreed to the services if I knew the bell was going to be as such. The lady just said "It your responsibility to know whether you are insured or not." I said "OK I guess it's a little bit on me that I didn't notice you just stopped billing me without actually notifying me, but I didn't ask for all of these other services that were attached to this bill...." She absolutely did not care. It took a huge runaround just to get them to knock it down to $345. The service I pre-booked for which was a cleaning, the oral evaluation and the repair of my retainer came to $266 from the itemized bill they sent me(after I had to request it) which I told them I was willing to pay. They would not accept that and threaten to send me to collections on Nov 1st, so I had to pay $345 today. It was absolutely horrible dealing with these people and the front desk lady was incredibly rude. This dentist has no clue about the California law that he must provide a good faith estimate to cash paying patients. I felt really taken advantage of and this is just a horrible practice on their end. It's really unethical to do whatever you want to a patient and then bill them for it later for whatever you want. It's common decency to have a discussion with your patients if something will be an additional charge. I definitely do not recommend this business to anyone. Absolutely horrible business practice.

We sat and talked about my dental issues for about 40 minutes. I had never spoke to the dentist that long in one sitting in my entire life he assessed my issues, came up with the plan was very clear and precise on how he wanted to achieve my goal he never once told me no it won't work. he just said yes we will do that. He was very informative to me. I felt like he was taking good care of me. I just trusted what he said and followed his instructions and everything has went precisely as he told me it would.
