I have gone to Kevin Myers for anything cosmetic surgery related since 2013 more recently I went and had extensive facelift work done, to include a facelift, brow lift, and a lip lift Their website unfortunately doesn't have a lot of before and after pictures which I think is what people turn to so I wanted to give them a review because I feel like not only is the staff amazing, but Dr. Kevin Myers does phenomenal work. Excellent Medical Care It was a rocky start at first with some confusion with the office staff. However, once I got scheduled for my surgery it was fine. I do not recommend this surgeon, Dr. Emily Hartmann She apparently does not have an aptitude for symmetry, keep her away from your eyes! Very, very expensive lesson. I don't know how many more surgeries will be required to mitigate the damage done to my face, or to what extent that's even possible, I'd think it would be significantly more difficult to replace skin than to remove it, but I suppose I'll find out soon enough. The office staff moved my surgery up by 2 weeks because they had a cancellation. It was for their convenience not mine. I had just seen the dr. I was not quite ready psychologically to have my breast reduction. I tried to cancel the appointment for the surgery and had no less than 3 phone calls by female staff twisting my arm and trying to convince me to go through with it on that premature schedule they wanted to force me into. I told all of them that I wasnt quite ready yet and each time they called they would push and push and talk me into it. I would try to cancel again, and the same thing would happen 3 times. i was a victim of the campfire and still have ptsd from it. i told them, but they didnt seem to care. I'm sure the surgery would have gone well had they tried to understand the fear I was feeling, but nobody in their office seemed to care one iota about what I was feeling. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I WOULD! My sister waited a year for a appointment and when she got there today they said the doctor doesn't do RHINOPLASTYS anymore! How can a doctor stop doing surgeries WITHOUT consulting their patients? Then they wanted to charge my sister to find another doctor and do a consultation??? ( IF YOU ASK THEY WANTED TO CHARGE HER $100 JUST TO TRANSFER TO SOMEONE ELSE BECAUSE IT WAS COSMETIC! ). They even called BEFORE the appointment because we had to drive an hour to get there and they told her it was okay to come, BUT THEY DIDNT DO ANYTHING! Highly recommend Ashley for cool sculpting! She definitely knows how to target your trouble spots and what areas are most suited to get results. She marks the area before starting the cool sculpting cycle &Explains what to expect during the procedure. I was comfortable during each cycle. This review is long over due. I waited and waited for results but there was never any. I went in to see Dr. Myers for keloid removal. I have four keloids on my chest, they were about 1cm each at the time very painful and itchy. He says that he can schedule a surgical removal and they'll be gone and then inject some type of steroid to keep it from coming back. I trusted him because he seemed confident in what he was doing. Day of the surgery came and I was nervous but it went by quick. I woke up and saw bandages across my chest and I'm like hm I see the stitches and the stitches on each keloid were about 4-5 cm long. I was a bit confused because my keloid scars were only 1cm prior to that. He told me to come back in 2 weeks so he can remove the sutures and inject the steroid so it can prevent keloid from forming again. That day came and my keloids were gone however, how big the incisions were scared me. Same day he injected the steroid and told me to come back 4 weeks after that. I saw my keloids coming back within 2 weeks and called the receptionist and they spoke to Dr. Myers and he said it is normal and will eventually go down. My keloids came back before the 4th week. I decided to be patient and once it was my appointment time again Dr. Myers increased the steroid amount and I saw my keloids going flat again. After 4-6 weeks I was suppose to see him again and then I saw 2 of my keloids causing an indent. He proceeded to add steroid in the other two and told me that he can schedule another surgery for him to remove fat from my thigh and inject it into the indented scars. Ever since then I'm like no way. Not going back to him. Now I'm left with four 5cm keloid scars +more pain/discomfort and itchiness because of this experience when my keloid scars were only 1cm at first. I truly regret this experience and wish I did more research. read more

I'm reluctant to post this review because my experience with with Dr. Hartmann was amazing and I give HER 5 stars. However, my experience with the office personnel is distasteful enough to discourage me from coming in the future. When you go in for a consultation, you pay $100 which, if you proceed with a treatment, is applied to the cost. When I paid, they charged me in full without this amount deducted. No big deal, easily rectifiable! Or, that is... it would be if they ever returned my voicemails. They would say they're looking into it and then never get back to me. At first I brushed it off as chaos around the holidays, but months later, they still have not actually refunded me. I have also left voicemails trying to reach someone for important questions about my scheduled treatment. A week went by, no response to my voicemails, finally when I got ahold of someone who spoke with the doctor, I was informed she advised that we reschedule due to the nature of my question. Totally understandable, but it would have been nice if I could have had my calls answered more promptly to avoid this change of plan a couple days before my appointment. Even this, is forgivable to me. But my patience really began to run dry when again, closer to my rescheduled date, I couldn't get ahold of anyone for confirmation on my appt nor my refund. Instead of leaving a 6th voicemail for the week, I politely explained to the receptionist that I had been trying for some time to get this question answered and if there was any way I could look into that now instead of being forwarded to a voicemail that I would really appreciate it. She was super sweet and said she'd make sure I'd get a call that day, and I did. When I got the call, the girl made a comment that she was on the phone with insurance when I called, and that's not a call she could get off of. Of course I wouldn't expect that........and I didn't imply that whatsoever.... but what about my 6 voicemail attempts for the week? Just seems that the staff is dismissive and then impatient when you're only trying to be proactive. Day of my treatment I had someone call insisting that I come in earlier.....very impatient tone and talked over me when I said I couldn't just come in earlier.... obviously I selected a certain time for a reason. Ive called to adjust a follow up appointment time that they had scheduled for me, a receptionist helped me to adjust to a time that worked for me, then when I go in, the appointment was back at the time I couldn't make. When I'm trying to explain this the girl keeps cutting me off saying the Dr can't just work around my time.... when that's NO WHERE NEAR my expectation...what?? I just don't understand why my appointments keep magically changing, I can't get my refund, and everyone is mad when I try to follow up? Never once did I raise my voice or disrespect any of the staff. I know how draining customer service can be and I've been very mindful to express myself peacefully but they talk as if I caused a scene or acted wild. I've never been treated in such a way as this or had such a bad taste in my mouth from any service provider. Such a complete headache for no reason. read more

Rather than never getting a response back, I'm happy to say, the staff has been very helpful and friendly since the second chance. I was required to pay a non refundable $100 dollars (If I do a surgery it will be used for the surgery) I looked on yelp and seen a review I messaged that person and after all still went ahead with the appointment...the papers I signed said the consultation was free? I even marked that line and gave back the papers to the woman at the desk... I already felt something was wrong. the appointment was short less than hour if I don't include the time I was left alone. The dr. Said I had too much fat and it would be better to lose the fat working out... she said it nicely and in my mind I was over that appointment in general and realized I have been robbed $100 dollars for her to just tell me that. I have called other places since then and there is No deposit necessary AND ONCE ATTENDED received the quotes on the procedure that I was asking for. It's kinda scary too that these people @ NSS keep my social, a picture of me where I work.. if I was quickly told no then my information should of been shredded. read more

Dr. Myers is a breast genius! I originally went to another Chico surgeon for a breast augmentation with saline implants. Due to bottoming out, I went back to that surgeon one year later for reinforcement of the left breast muscle. Fast forward another year, both implants were bottoming out AND my left one was deflating. I wanted to try a different route, as this would now be the third surgery in 2 years. So I sought out Dr. Myers. The contrast between the two surgeons is nearly night and day. I knew from the consultation alone that Dr. Myers was going to achieve the results I had hoped I'd receive from the first two procedures. First of all, his consultation is lengthy; from the very detailed breast measurements, to the long discussion about the problems I was facing and how he'd fix them, to the honest truth about the recovery process. He also was unable to give me a quote, telling me to ask his staff instead, because he purposely doesn't like to know prices, to prevent potentially persuading patients based on that alone. And I loved that! He's all about results, not money!! I vividly remember walking out of there with complete confidence that he was going to fix me! And he has! This time, I went with silicone implants. He inserted bilateral donor tissue grafts to help reinforce the muscle, and prevent future bottoming out. He also pointed out that my old left saline implant had TWO pin holes in it, meaning it was probably punctured by the previous surgeon as he was suturing me up! I couldn't believe it! I'm a rare recommendation in that I have been to more than one surgeon, and so my opinion is based on results, not bias. Not only did he fix the problem I came to him for, but he has an unbelievable eye for breast size and shape, and where they should sit on the body. I have actual cleavage now, something I only wish I had received from the previous two procedures. I'm SO beyond happy with my results from Dr. Myers. If you're thinking about choosing anyone else in Chico, just trust me and, at the very least, make a consultation with Dr. Myers. He really is the best! read more

I was referred to Dr. Hartmann when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. She put me at ease the minute she walked into the room. She explained all of my options and was very supportive of my decision. She completely answered all of my questions. She was able to start reconstruction at the time of my mastectomy. Dr Hartmann was been very supportive and compassionate when I started my treatments. Once treatment were completed, she was able to complete my reconstruction. Dr. Hartmann has been absolutely amazing and I am very happy with her work. This review is strictly for Dr Hartman, and not Northstate plastic surgery. I had a consultation with Dr Hartman for a lift and Tummy tuck, she ask if I was happy with my current weight,and I said no, that I had gained a lot of weight over the past 5 or 6 years. She said she would like me to see my regular physician and have some tests done. She sent me to the scheduling associate for pricing at that time. I called the next day and paid 1000.00 deposit and scheduled surgery which was about 7 months out. I did have the tests run, which showed no thyroid problems or other health issues. I call dr Hartman's office to pass this information to them and ask if they needed reports. I never heard back from anyone. About two months prior to surgery I called the office again and ask them to send an order for the ekg that was needed. No response again. I called back 2 more times before someone finally sent the request to my dr. When I went back to Dr Hartman about 1 week prior to the scheduled surgery, she told me she wouldn't be able to do the procedure for me. Of course I ask why and she said she just didn't feel we had a connection. What? I ask Her if it was my weight, and she said absolutely not. Bottom line, I wasted almost a year waiting for surgery and had to start this process all over again. I may have dodged a bullet however, in that a friend of mind had a procedure done and it was badly botched. I would not recommend Dr Hartman. read more

Dr Hartmann did a wonderful job on my reduction... however... I still have PTSD from the difficulties caused by the inept office staff. My surgery was rescheduled twice, the second time for not having preauthorization from insurance. Why schedule that in the first place? They delayed my disability claim then sent it incorrectly, sent my HR department the incorrect paperwork multiple times (had me back to work illegally in fact), and then sent me a bill a year later for a minimal amount of money, adding insult to injury. Definitely not worth the hours and hours of straightening their messes out and extreme stress during what should have been a time of healing. Dr Hartman performed my surgery. I had a lipoma removed on the anterior side of my body on the shoulder/chest area. She did an amazing job! The scar is small and has been healing well- it was been 2 months since my surgery. She is such a genuinely kind and caring person. She always gives me hugs which is so sweet of her. She let me text her after my surgery in case I had any questions and boy did I have a lot (I'm a worry wart). She replied quickly every time and answered my questions and concerns. my husband scheduled a consultation here a week in advance. we both got the time off of work, which was extremely challenging due to mon. - fri. work weeks. my husband had confirmed the appointment time and date, twice with Addie. we live about 2 hours away, so we drove all the way to chico for this very anticipated consultation. upon arrival i was impressed with the decor but the reception woman was lacking in professionalism and overall lack of personality. i expected more from a first impression at a facility that is trusted to perform surgery. the receptionist had a hard time finding my husband, who confirmed twice, in the appointment system. she went to the back and asked us to reschedule, which is not an option. she then went to the back again and came back with the office manager. who apologized for the inconvenience but was unable to do anything for us today. so my husband made an appointment, sent in copies of his medical and insurance cards, confirmed the appointment TWICE, took the day off work, drove two hours just to be told that he's not in the system by a woman in a 50% off k mart pantsuit. i would give them no stars if it were an option. safe to say, we will not be scheduling another consultation here. read more
