This is still one of my fave places to get a manicure & pedicure. I've even had a facial from them once. I also enjoyed the facial & thought that the products they used for the facial were good quality. Just a note, they are a little bit rougher when they do the facial than some other places I have been to. The facial massage is more firm and same with the arms, etc. The lady who does the facials is strong! I wonder if she also does the massages as they have a RMT service on their website. I will have to ask & try the massage sometime. On Sunday I had a basic pedicure & since I paid cash the price was very reasonable. It's so relaxing to have a pedicure. Lina, who did my pedicure was very good & fast. I even turned on the massage chair though it wasn't that comfortable for me. I think the massage chair isn't made for a petite person like me. LOL. In any case, some of their prices went up a little. Don't be surprised, inflation is making prices go up everywhere & covid supply problems also haven't helped. It is what it is. Service can certainly be improved, specifically from the younger gals working there. The GOOD service that I have received previously was from an older woman that was very sweet and did a great job. I've been there 4 times and I must say they have an attitude to them and aren't very nice. I noticed a lot of people also had issues with the same girls I'm referring to. If you care about your business, as management you should speak to them or else you'll lose business in the future. Also, please refrain from speaking in your language and laughing while you have clients, it's extremely rude and disrespectful. read more

New place that opened up at Yonge-Sheppard centre. The place is very clean and multiple staff on site. They accept walk-in but best to book ahead of time. $45 for shellac pedicure. Susan did my nails and she was wonderful. They have relaxing spa music playing in the background. The chairs are massage chairs so you are getting a massage while getting nails done. It's great. They do nails, facial, massage, and waxing services. The only downside is, it's in a "mall" type of setting and you are sitting right by the window as people pass by and stare at you. The store front is clear window glass from ceiling to floor so you can see clearly out and they can see clearly in. It makes it not very relaxing. read more

I won't do my nails here. I've been coming here for months. Ever since they opened up. I always came to do my eyebrows. The lady who does them was recommended to me by a friend. Anyways getting my eyebrows done here is always a blessing. I've never had a bad experience. Nails on the other hand, I'll pass on that. I've had my nails done here three times now and every time it's the same problem. My shellac chips after 2 days. At first I thought it could be my fault because of water or whatever have you. My recent experience was three days ago. I got a shellac mani the same day before my departure to the UK. The same day... three days later and 4 fingers are chipped to bits. Something about that bothers me. Maybe they aren't curing enough or maybe the voltage of the LED light, I don't know but it never lasts. I've had my nails done at other places and I've needed had this issue. But it seems to happen every time I come here. read more

This place is worth your money! This is my first time in Toronto and I desperately needed my nails done. With the hotel being just a walk away, I decided to peruse the centre (Yonge Sheppard Centre). Randomly my friend and I stepped into Forest Nails and were immediately greeted and seated. We both went for a Mani+Pedi for 45 CAD. Susan and Joanne were my chosen tag team and they were EXCEPTIONAL. Susan was accommodating and sweet. Joanne paid very close attention to detail and was kind. I live in the area and decided to try this nail spot out. I did not make an appt, I walked in and was greeted by all the ladies and was seated right away. Kim did an amazing job on my nails she took her time and didn't make me feel rushed. I came back 2 weeks after to get a refill. Again, I did not make an appt but was lucky to get Kim again! She's amazing with an eye for detail. Ill be making future appt with Kim. The only downside about this nail salon is the store front is all glass. It would be nice to have some privacy. I'm looking forward to trying more of their services. read more

This Nail Spa opened in 2019. Sad that it had to close for almost 4 months but glad they are open again. It's a really nice and clean salon with quiet but nice staff and relaxing music. Prices are fair. They have to do a whole lot more now and have very few clients as they did before. They do a great job and it's very relaxing. This nail place is incredible!!! My mom and I drive 30 min just to come see Mia and her aunt. They are the sweetest people, extremely talented and create a wonderful experience. Mia saved my nails! I came in with unhealthy short nails, and now they are long and people can't believe they are mine. I get so many compliments on the designs and condition of my nails. Posted are some of my favourite looks Mia has done!! Got the biogel set which was advertised as $55+. The set was pretty uneven and shaping was awful. I got short nude nails which is normally base price, yet I was somehow charged $75?? Nails are now cracking after only 5 days! Extremely unimpressed, this is not the place to go for nail extensions. read more

I was visiting my friend in Toronto and I was there for a wedding so I needed a gel manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was ok but the gel manicure was bad. One day after the manicure the thumbnail split and half came off. Then three more nails started peeling. I flew out of Toronto so my friend went in to tell them what happened. They were very nonchalant and offered no compensation such as a manicure for my friend. I have gel manicures all the time and this has never happened. For $94 this was a big RIPOFF!!! read more

Got a mani and pedi after lunch on Friday for the first time based on coworker recommendations. I was very happy with the experience. Nice leg and hand massage. Nice massage chairs. Very organized and friendly. Impeccably clean and sanitary. Each staff member greets you. The salon itself has great massage chairs at the pedi station and a TV so the atmosphere is soothing. I'm always given a beverage and an array of (very current issues!) of magazines. I'm very picky about nail salons and I can't find one problem here. Everything from the new trendy nail colours to the location and wonderful staff keeps me coming back for my Shellac manis, regular pedi and waxing. Altho they offer Shellac pedis now too. Worth checking out! Especially if you work or live in this area. There's a grocery and wine rack right beside this place so you can practically one stop shop. read more

This place is pretty hit or miss for me. The quality of your manicure is very dependent on which technician you get. They are all very nice, but some of the women are much better than others. Also, the owner/manager can be quite rude to customers and the other employees of the salon which is a huge turnoff for me. read more

I have been to this salon a few times. I always worry they don't book appointments properly because they don't take a name/ phone number or send a confirmation email. I usually get Shellac which lasts about a week from here. I booked an appointment a week and a half in advance. Only to get to the salon and have them clearly have no idea I booked an appointment. After waiting 5 minutes they told me it would be a half an hour wait. I told them I was in a time crunch and they said 20 minutes. I was unable to delay my appointment that long. It would have been a lot more considerate if they called, texted or emailed that my appointment was delayed. Then I didn't have to waste my time going in and waiting there only to be told they were delayed 30 minutes. I would understand if it were 10 minutes. But they had multiple other people waiting and clearly overbooked. I wouldn't recommended this place and they do not have a good booking system. I will not be returning here very disappointing service. There are far better nail salons in the area that are proper businesses. read more

Nice decor, clean space and friendly staff. The pedicure was good, however, the shellac manicure was nice for 2 days and then a nail started chipping. I went to the Owner who offered to fix it which I accepted but she noted that "these things happen sometime." While this is true, for how expensive the services are in comparison and the fact they do encourage you to buy the more expensive services, this should NOT be have happened. I've gone to far less expensive places and my manicures were better and last way longer. I would get a pedi there again but don't recommend manicures. read more

Shellac manicure was awesome! My manicurist was very bubbly and friendly, and did a great job on my nails. What I like about this place is there is a variety of services- if you don't want to do the full manicure, you can just do a polish change, or a shellac polish, and the price is very reasonable! I went to get a mani-pedi yesterday at the Yonge-Sheppard location. The place is clean and looks nice. There is no waiting area and was awkward walking in and standing there until someone helped me. I was seated in a pedi chair and didn't wait long for a nail tech. The service however, was awful. I had shellac on both my feet and hands. I was getting shellac put back on. They charged me money just to take my shellac off even though I was getting the same service with them. I get my nails done regularly every two weeks for the past 2 years. I have never been charged to take off my polish when I was spending money to get the polish put on again. If I had just wanted a mani-pedi with regular or no polish I would understand why they would charge me to take it off, but this was not the case. When I challenged this and asked why, the nail tech working on the lady beside me was rude, annoyed and was quite snotty in her reply to me. I decided to pay the charge to get the shellac off but opted for a regular pedi since it was cheaper and I didn't want to give them more of my money. For a shellac mani and a regular pedi, I paid $90. WITHOUT TIP. That's insane. They have a "mani-pedi" special for $50 (regular polish) I figured I would be charged that price, plus an extra $10-$15 to add shellac. Instead they charged me the full price of $35 for shellac mani, and $32 for regular pedi, plus the cost to take the shellac off and then applicable taxes. By the end I could tell that the owner told the tech working on my hands to hurry up and she rushed through my nails. Overall, bad experience and terrible pricing. I will not be back. read more

Tried this place out as I was in the neighborhood and had an hour wait for my dog to get groomed. Selected it based on other reviews - was not disappointed. It is inside a building with a Sobey's, so not street-facing. Got a mani/pedi combo for $40 - this is a higher price than downtown but the ladies were detailed and did a thorough job (one did the mani while the other tackled the pedi at the same time - I find this efficient). They were also very nice and turned me onto CND's Vinylux - it's a fast drying polish that is less time-consuming than Shellac and supposedly comes off easier (I've yet to see - I guess I'll find out in two weeks). It dried fast and I didn't have any smudging or scuffing even after paying, picking up the dog, and grocery shopping - wow! Would definitely go back. read more

I live a few hundred feet from Forest Nails & Spa. It's tucked into the back of the plaza across from Sobey's. The ladies there take great care of you. What I really love is that two aestheticians work on your concurrently if you're having a mani/pedi so you can have a shorter appointment. Oh and excellent leg massages! I'm a regular. read more

i went in for mani/pedi before my vacation. the very next day, the polish on my thumb peeled off. i went in and had it fixed. while on my trip, 2 days after mani/pedi most of my nails were ruined. as well my toe polish cracked... i am shocked that i paid over $ 80 and the job didn't even last a week! i believe it was the fault of the type of colour polish i chose. HOWEVER, i am also shocked that they didn't bother to test their product prior to using, or catch the problem, the next day when i went in for repair. also, i sent email while on vacation and went in once i got back. they never bothered to get back to me or for that matter address my issue in anyway what so ever. they are not friendly or helpful and lack decent business etiquitte. read more
