New place that opened up at Yonge-Sheppard centre. The place is very clean and multiple staff on site. They accept walk-in but best to book ahead of time. $45 for shellac pedicure. Susan did my nails and she was wonderful. They have relaxing spa music playing in the background. The chairs are massage chairs so you are getting a massage while getting nails done. It's great. They do nails, facial, massage, and waxing services. The only downside is, it's in a "mall" type of setting and you are sitting right by the window as people pass by and stare at you. The store front is clear window glass from ceiling to floor so you can see clearly out and they can see clearly in. It makes it not very relaxing.

I won't do my nails here. I've been coming here for months. Ever since they opened up. I always came to do my eyebrows. The lady who does them was recommended to me by a friend. Anyways getting my eyebrows done here is always a blessing. I've never had a bad experience. Nails on the other hand, I'll pass on that. I've had my nails done here three times now and every time it's the same problem. My shellac chips after 2 days. At first I thought it could be my fault because of water or whatever have you. My recent experience was three days ago. I got a shellac mani the same day before my departure to the UK. The same day... three days later and 4 fingers are chipped to bits. Something about that bothers me. Maybe they aren't curing enough or maybe the voltage of the LED light, I don't know but it never lasts. I've had my nails done at other places and I've needed had this issue. But it seems to happen every time I come here.

This place is worth your money! This is my first time in Toronto and I desperately needed my nails done. With the hotel being just a walk away, I decided to peruse the centre (Yonge Sheppard Centre). Randomly my friend and I stepped into Forest Nails and were immediately greeted and seated. We both went for a Mani+Pedi for 45 CAD. Susan and Joanne were my chosen tag team and they were EXCEPTIONAL. Susan was accommodating and sweet. Joanne paid very close attention to detail and was kind. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd be sure to visit them.

I live in the area and decided to try this nail spot out. I did not make an appt, I walked in and was greeted by all the ladies and was seated right away. Kim did an amazing job on my nails she took her time and didn't make me feel rushed. I came back 2 weeks after to get a refill. Again, I did not make an appt but was lucky to get Kim again! She's amazing with an eye for detail. Ill be making future appt with Kim. The only downside about this nail salon is the store front is all glass. It would be nice to have some privacy. I'm looking forward to trying more of their services.

This Nail Spa opened in 2019. Sad that it had to close for almost 4 months but glad they are open again. It's a really nice and clean salon with quiet but nice staff and relaxing music. Prices are fair. They have to do a whole lot more now and have very few clients as they did before. They do a great job and it's very relaxing. They take your temperature and ask you to wash your hands and wear a mask and take your contact info. I'm sure Covid 19 is hard for them but it's good to support local

This nail place is incredible!!! My mom and I drive 30 min just to come see Mia and her aunt. They are the sweetest people, extremely talented and create a wonderful experience. Mia saved my nails! I came in with unhealthy short nails, and now they are long and people can't believe they are mine. I get so many compliments on the designs and condition of my nails. Posted are some of my favourite looks Mia has done!! My fave nails she did I can't find a picture of but you can even see the nail growth from the swirls to the french tips which are my most recent nails! I genuinely recommend them to everyone

Walk up the two flight of outdoor stairs and enter the beauty bar. You will go straight down the hall, turn left and Nina is located at the first door on the left. Cute beauty bar offering a bunch of different services. Now let's get to talking about Nina and her sugaring! Can we say perfectionist...because that is what Nina is. I have been getting waxed or sugared for well over a year now and I can say that Nina is the best I have ever come across. I have been to others that were quicker but NONE that make sure the job is completely done. I went in for a maintenance appointment which took about 35 minutes. It was not more or less painful that what it normally is but Nina provides great conversation throughout and ensures you are comfortable...in a situation where most would not be. Her price cannot be beat and the quality is just something you don't find very often when it comes to this type of work. There is no other person I would ever go to but Nina. FYI: There is parking on Kingsdale just past the Beauty Bar...super convenient and very reasonably priced.

I stumbled upon Sugar Me Spa on Google and read some mixed reviews, but decided to give this place a try anyways. I booked my first Brazilian sugar appointment through their online booking service in April 2019 at the RH location. Jasmyne was my aesthetician, she made me feel comfortable and walked me through the process of my service. I left not knowing what the results should look and feel like, but now that I've gotten a bunch of Brazilian sugars done (with another business), I can confirm that my experience with Sugar Me Spa was not great. I still had a lot of hair that hadn't been "pulled" out by the sugar, but I thought that's how Brazilian waxes were as it was my first time receiving one. It looked like I had shaved quickly and didn't bother to go over a second time to get all the remaining hairs. It didn't bother me as I trusted the process and was planning to book with Sugar Me Spa again once time came. Their online booking was extremely inaccurate in regards to the times and/or dates available for services. I booked my second appointment, only to be texted that the establishment was closed during the time slot I had chosen and I had reschedule. I wasn't able to reschedule, so I cancelled it instead. I booked another appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne as I already dealt with her my first time around), through the same online system. I received another text a week before my appointment stating Jasmyne was not working during the date and time I had chosen. I was offered different dates and times to reschedule, however, time was too tight to reschedule. I asked if another aesthetician could provide the service, to no avail. I rescheduled my appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne) in August 2019, only to be texted that Jasmyne couldn't make it to work and was asked to reschedule again... Overall, over a span of 4 months, I went once with mediocre results. Their appointment booking service is extremely hectic and inconsistent.

Jasmine took the upmost care in what she was doing and my service lasted at most 10 minutes. The results are amazing...much better than waxing. The place is very clean, bright and inviting. The only reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the inability to pay with card and that it took a bit to find as it is inside the natural health storefront while I was looking for signage for Sugar Me Spa.

LONG REVIEW ALERTT!!! NEVER GO THERE FOR FULL BODY WAX!…read more As the owner of an IT company with 10 years of experience in the customer-facing industry, I have never encountered such awful people and service. It's shocking that a business can operate with such a lack of empathy and professionalism. I recently had the misfortune of visiting Prayosha Downtown beauty salon for a full body wax/Brazilian wax service. I arrived an hour late, apologized, and offered to wait or reschedule, but the front desk girl, Jasmine, suggested we proceed. The service was a disaster from the start. The initial technician, Roopi, was rough and careless, causing me to bleed from a burn bruise on my right hand's finger within the first 5 minutes. When I politely asked her to be more considerate, she was defensive and unapologetic. I was shocked by her attitude and lack of empathy. After that, Roopi disappeared and never came back to explain herself or apologize for her actions. Fortunately, Arushi took over and completed the service in another 2 hours. YES, 2 Hours!! Because the drama continued as Jasmine took turns trying to justify her ever changing statements and constant door knocks interrupting Arushi to leave my service and attend other customers. Arushi did whisper to me that I shouldn't tell others that she had finished the entire body waxing may be she knew that the other staff members were trying to take advantage of me. At two instances, I was offered a partial service by Jasmine but she would constantly change her statements. I think, she needs medical help with this foggy brain. It was clear that they were not interested in providing me with the full service I had asked for. They were asking me to pay the full price but they wouldn't do the front and the back as apparently, they didn't have the time bandwidth. I offered them that I could potentially wait or comeback in an hour or two but they didn't want that either. As I later found out, the girls were scared to provide me with the service because of my dry skin. While I understand that may be a concern, it was not the only issue. The real problem was that I was being body shamed and discriminated against because of my weight. I was made to feel like I didn't deserve the service because of my size. I was appalled when I asked Jasmine if the girls were hesitant to work on me because of my weight? And she said, YES! And kept blabbering further!!! Which honestly, I didn't listen! Throughout the ordeal, I was body shamed and humiliated, and I felt like I was being treated like dirt, a burden, not a customer. The staff's lack of empathy, professionalism, and manners were appalling. As an Indian woman myself, I was particularly disappointed to see such behavior from people who claim to represent our community. It's a shame that they are perpetuating the same stereotypes and biases that we try to overcome. Am I not allowed to have beauty services just because I'm obese? I'm paying the full price, just like anyone else. It's not like I'm asking for a special treatment? It was Roopi who suggested a special treatment while rolling her eyes in disgust and I quote, " I can't do the service alone if you expect me to considerate of your body (she meant flabby excess fat), I would need another girl to help out." To make matters worse, I started bleeding from a wound that I had, which the careless technician, Roopi had ignored and ripped off. It was a painful and traumatic experience. Eventually, I spoke to the owner, Kumud, who was 300 Kms away, she heard me but had a different story to share. Maybe her employees lied to her to cover for themselves. At least she was understanding and spoke in a professional way. In the end, I still ended up paying the full price of $89 for the service, despite the horrific experience and crying at the salon premises!! I want to warn others: beware of Prayosha Downtown beauty salon. The staff's behavior is unacceptable and is a reflection of the worst of Indian society from RURAL INDIA. Their body shaming and discrimination towards customers is a shame!!! It's a shame that they are bringing Indian community down with their ignorance and lack of empathy.

They also do spa services such as waxing as well. Do call ahead of time as this nail salon does get busy! They can try to accommodate walk ins but you may have to wait a bit or schedule an appointment another day. I had gotten my nails done at Daisy Nails a few years ago and decided to return for their services. My friend and I opted to go to Daisy Nails and Spa for our manicures (removal and shellac manicure for me, a shellac mani and pedi for my friend) on a Friday afternoon. I called about 3 weeks prior to the appointment as I wanted to make sure we got our manis together or around the same time. The staff were prompt to take my name and number down during the phone call. Day of our appointment, although we arrived on time we still had to wait about 10-15 min for our nail technicians. I probably waited a bit longer. The place was a little over half full and all the nail technicians were busy with other customers. My shellac removal and manicure took almost 1.5 hours long (usually would take me about an hour at another salon, however, I did have to wait a bit in the beginning). My nail technician was attentive and friendly. I had 2 split nails which she was aware of and took care to cover them up. She also listened to how I wanted to shape my nails and made sure I was okay with the length. Manicure wise, she did a great job! My friend was also happy with her mani and pedi services. If you pay cash you don't need to pay tax. They do however, accept credit and debit as well. Overall, good salon around the neighbourhood.
