    Shelac mani 35!
    Evelyn A.

I have been testing nail spots regularly, like the pretty pretty princess that I am. After going to four in the last couple of months, I think Queen Nails might be my spot! It's clean, friendly and cheap. Most importantly, it's between my house and my daughter's daycare. Even princesses love convenience. I was able to make a same-day appointment and I saw some people get walk-in spots, too. I went for my usual polish removal and shellac mani. It cost a mere $35 flat plus tip if you pay cash, and my coral nails are fabulous. The rest of me is in sweat pants, but whatever... Pretty pretty princess is more of a state of mind than a state of being.

Screwed down the area that forms bubbles. Leaving you with a bubble less bowl during pedicures.

This was the most UNPROFESSIONAL place I have ever been to! They'll try up charging you for every little thing.. which is even worst when THEY SUCK! Every time I would attempt to look at my nails while the nail tec was working, she would LAUGH at me and not give me an opportunity to see if I liked them. When she finally finished I was going to get my pedicure... but while examination my nails I noticed my nails where pushed back (looking unnatural and like press one) and the nail designs were thicker than my liking and weren't straight. I expressed my concerned and was met with push back.. another nail tec proceeded to arguing with me. She told me everyone would love them and I don't know what I'm talking about. She forced me to show my nail inspiration and insisted it was the same... then kept belittling me and my knowledge about nails. She began making me extremely unfortunate and I voiced that to her and she would not leave me alone! In that instance I decided not to get a pedicure Bc I didn't want to put more money in an establishment that lacked skill, professionalism, and respect for customers. However, I had to continue waiting for my sisters pedicure to be finished. The process was a JOKE! The water had no bubbles, they didn't have hot water, they used paper towels to separate my sisters toes when painting them. AND TO MAKE IT WORST THEY GAVE HER USED SHOES FOR WHEN HER TOES DRY! This place is uncleanly, unprofessional, and not worth your time and your money.

Had a great experience here. Welcoming staff, took their time to get my nails done right. Relaxing pedicure. And great bio gel set -- look at the decal they did for me! We l had fun with this shrimp detail. They 'nailed' it!

Skin reacting to toxic oil they used on my legs!

Worst pedicure experience ever!!!! And... I go to nails salons since many years every 6 weeks to get my pedicure done! First time I've seen that : they used oil rather than cream to basically just spread oil on my leg (not massage) and my legs started burning and then swelling (picture)! Maybe ask your customer if they prefer cream? Or don't use toxic oils on skin? Also they removed the towel from underneath my feet so they were sliding in oil just above the tub... and the dirt... I had to ask for a towel that they took 5 minutes to bring. The tool they use as toe separator is brown paper towel that we use in public bathroom to dry hands, which I would have nothing to complain about if it wasn't from this bad experience. However I prefer the classical toe separator in foam. Even if terrible, the cost for this pedicure was way overpriced compared to the usual $35-45 that I am used to. To end this nightmare, the polish didn't stay on my toe nails and as soon as I got home (I live 2 minutes away) I noticed my big toes had no more polish on them and some others too (picture)! In fact, my husband is putting polish on my toe nails right now as I am writing this review! He should not be doing this as I am coming back from my usual pedicure!!! (I guess he's annoyed too) Don't go there, go to Beauty Line on King instead of Tibet on Queen, they are worth avoiding Queen Nails and Spa!

After going to many different nail salons, I think I've finally found my go to place. They're very nice and prices are super reasonable especially for the quality services that they provide. I saw Eric and I'm extremely happy with my nails and will definitely come back!

Was visiting the city with a friend and we decided to drop by and get our nails done. It was a very clean and tidy place to spend time at.

One of the best nail salons I have found in a long time!! This is speaking from experience-Recently moving back to Toronto- (I have been living in New York, London etc) I really wanted to find a nail salon that I could trust. I normally get acrylics on my hands with gel polish and normal polish on my toes (I suggest the deluxe pedicure if you need some extra TLC!) With coming here I switched to biogel instead of acrylic and they have lasted weeks with no breaks! (Have had gfs come here with the same experience) & pedicure is impeccable. Lovely atmosphere & great prices as well I would highly recommend I am so happy to have found a new place I can trust! :)

Love this place!!! I'm actually sitting here right now. I have become a regular! And they really deserve my business. My mom even comes to do her toes here from Yorkville because they do such a great job! The ladies here are so nice and accommodating. Sometimes I can't make it to my appointment due to my hectic schedule and they never complain and greet me with a smile every time I go. They do a great job on pedicures, especially for a runner who has an ingrown nail. They are great at making my feet look and feel exactly as they should. I get a gel manicure with Kate and she is a real professional. It comes out looking very thin on the sides and natural-- plus she can do nail art if you're into that kind of thing. On top of all this, the salon is METICULOUSLY CLEAN and very nice looking. Definitely best salon in the neighborhood-- so happy they are here!

This is the first nail spa salon I have tried so far in this area. Booked appointment 30 minutes before for medi-pedi, service was nice and friendly. The female who did my pedicure was really thorough in her work. A guy did medi for me was equally good at his work. One disappointment was the 15% discount they have mentioned on yelp isn't valid anymore. But you can still claim that if you pay in cash. The give out some card with stamp on it each time you visit and after some 6 times you get some free service. Can't remember exactly what it is. It cost me around 50 bucks for medi-pedi including taxes. I would recommend this nail salon.

Would not recommend any bio gel services here. I was told that getting bio gel and shellac would last me more than 2 weeks and these are the results. When I went back they offered me $10 off a refill that I would still need to pay for. Would much rather visit a place that was honest about their products instead of being mislead to pay more.

What stands out is that the facilities are state of the art. The Dead Sea salt pool even has massage water jets, and the water quality is tested several times a day. I personally saw a staff member testing the water quality! This is great for anyone with a cleanliness obsession. Two final points: this is a women-only space, and phones are not allowed. The photos I've shared are from the official website, which maintains a high level of privacy. The service is excellent and the place is incredibly clean! The supposed "hot" pool was not warmer than my hottub at home that we keep at 104, so must've only been around 101 my guess. And yes, the 2 other women that were there were chatting up a storm, so not your relaxing, spa type environment. The staff, though, were very kind and helpful. I'm so glad I was able to do two sessions here and honestly, I think about this place every day. The guides here are so special. The concept of other ship is contrast therapy: there is sauna, and cold plunge. But it's unlike any contrast therapy I've done. It's a 75 minute class where you go in and your swimsuit and it's coed. You take part in a version of Aufguss - a sauna where they break balls of ice infused with delicious essential oils. I took a Gacha class where you do lymphatic drainage and then I also took a heart opener class. They also have free flow where there's no guide. The cold plunge is really special - you get paired up but if the class is small you can go alone. I've cold plunged a lot, and this experience transformed me. I was able to stay really, really calm and have a euphoric experience. The guides also use a tuning fork after the cold plunge to get you to calm the nervous system. The shower and changing room is not ideal for anyone that wants to go about their day after the experience but other than that, I wish I lived in Toronto to do this daily. The staff is also super friendly. They gave me their signature incense for my first visit. I love, love this place.

It's not just a sauna and ice bath facility, but a place that fosters community and inclusivity and a sanctuary for when you need to get away from the stresses of life (or when you need to relieve all that stress). The facility and it's staff, along with other participants, provides a safe and welcoming space for you to let go and look inward where you feel like a completely different person once you finish your session or class. I have always been interested to try Othership but was afraid to take the first step. I was able to try one of their guided classes recently as I received a free credit. I booked a deep stretch guided class around noon mid-week. Not knowing what to expect I went in with an open mind, allowing myself to explore and be curious about the experience, as well as try new things. Prior to the class, I probably was most anxious about the cold plunge part of the class. Upon entering Othership, you are greeted by staff where you are checked in. I did tell staff it was my first time there and they gave me a tour of the space. I was also given a wristband to wear, indicating that I was a first timer there - this is done so that it is easier for the instructor to identify the newcomers in the group, just in case we needed extra guidance or direction. Facility wise, Othership is a nice sanctuary in the city. The changerooms aren't terribly big but they do have private change rooms you can utilize. There are lockers you can store your belongings and shoes are not allowed in the sauna/cold plunge area. They provide you with 2 towels and there is tea as well as water (and cups) available. The bathrooms are at the very back past the cold plunge area. In regards to my class, we were able to settle in and the instructor explained the guided class and what we would be doing as we settled on the couches. She was aware that many of us were first timers in the class, knowing that we would be anxious about the cold plunge. She told us to embrace our own journey, with the understanding that everyone is starting at different places with different levels of experience. This pre-class talk was quite reassuring and I felt a sense of comfort sharing this experience with others, knowing that we were in this together. In the guided deep stretch class, we were first in the sauna for about 25-30 min where we did a series of breathwork and stretching, focusing on different parts of our body. The sauna was quite hot after a while and I was dripping sweat but the focus on the breath was a key factor in managing how I was feeling and the heat. After the sauna we were split into 2 groups where we did the cold plunge for 2 min (prior to the plunge you have to rinse off your body using the communal showers). I was so nervous about this part of the class but I was able to stay submerged for the whole 2 min. Having a focus on your breathwork was crucial. After the cold plunge we all gathered in the sauna again where we did several more breathworks and had a sharing portion to the class where we could talk about our experience if we wanted to. Last 15 min of class we were invited to do another cold plunge, stay in the sauna, or relax and drink tea/water. Overall, I had an amazing first experience at Othership. Will definitely return to try more guided classes in the future!

The cold plunge is a well that states a one person limit, though many people went in with 2-3 people at a time. The entire atmosphere reminds you of a cottage getaway. Afterward, we went to the dining area where they offer complimentary tea at the cutest tea station. They also make homemade kombucha and offer pickle vodka shots. We ordered the borsht, cabbage rolls, dumplings, herring, and the sourdough pancakes. Right off the bat, everything was delicious. The borsht was probably one of the best I've ever tasted, especially with the sour cream and the tanginess of the broth. The cabbage rolls were juicy and seasoned well, the sourdough pancakes tasted like fried dough and had a rich buttery flavour as opposed to the sweet, cakiness you would expect from a pancake. But the most surprising was the herring, which came with pickled cabbage on top and was incredibly tasty. Definitely give this a try if you visit. Scrubs are five dollars for purchase which actually is kinda crazy considering the size but I came for the full experience so you bet I bought one for the steam room. The sauna and steam rooms were INSANELY hot and the cold plunge was INSANELY cold. It was FANTASTIC lol! It was so foggy in the steam room I literally could barely see anyone else and my nostrils were burning from the heat. The water in the pool was nice and cold though and really helped keep cool in there. The larger sauna was super relaxing temperature wise and more for chilling out. If the cold plunge was too extreme there was also a chain and bucket that release cold water that was not nearly as freezing. There was a lovely cozy rest area with dim lights and a tv and in the nook of the dining area a plethora of stunning herbal, aromatic and fruity teas. As for the food itself, AWESOME. There were plenty of options for me as someone who only eats halal meat and has to otherwise be vegetarian or pescatarian in the event meat is not halal. I had potato pelmeni and the bowl was LOADED. I was in absolute BLISS. The mushroom julienne was a pool of cheese, cream and mushrooms, what was there not to like there??? The bread was the only meh part of it all. The sour cream cake was lovely and fluffy. Very homemade vibes. I loved the experience and would absolutely come back again!

It is like meditating in the sense that it takes practice to calm your mind even when you're in complete darkness. It was a cool experience overall and i'd do it again every few months when I need a little reset. I felt weightless! The staff are super friendly & explained everything to me. She was very patient. I love that each floating cabin has their own private room, shower etc. There's a communal area to dry your hair. They have lotion, leave-in conditioner, deodorant, robes, ear plugs, slippers etc. You literally only need to bring yourself. You don't even need a bathing suit because they encourage to go in nude. The pod had a nice calming purple-blue light & relaxing music. You can adjust the music volume but not the lighting, it's either on or off. You can leave the door open if you feel claustrophobic but I didn't feel that way. The temperature was warm (both air and water) after the first 5 minutes. When you first enter the water, you're still adjusting and it was my abdomen that was cold as it was above the surface. I'd just gently wave water over it when I got too cool for comfort. But after that initial phase, I wasn't cold at all. It was very clean inside the private rooms although I did book the first spot in the morning. Tips: Please read the instructions before you book! You can't shave within 24 hours, I'd wait an extra day more if you have sensitive skin. The salt is sooooo concentrated that all your cuts will burn. They do provide petroleum jelly as a barrier in case you do have micro cut or sensitive areas. 2) Salt water will burn your eyes. So be careful not to lift your head out of the water without closing your eyes (just in case some water trickles down your forehead). They give you a spray bottle with fresh water and a towel inside the cabin just in case this happens. It happened 3 times to me lol and it's effective. 3) Ear plugs if you don't want salt water in your ear. They were effective. I didn't get any water in. There's a vinegar rinse you spray into your ear to help rinse off the salt. 4) Relax. Be open to the experience. Be patient with yourself and your racing thoughts.
