The crew that was onsite was professional, punctual, and completed the job within one day. What really stood out was their attention to detail, not only in their work, but also in the cleanup process. The crew made sure everything was thoroughly cleaned up before leaving, and our property looked spotless. We truly appreciate their efficiency and professionalism and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing services.

We engaged a roofer to assess several rust-through spots occurring on five long panels. Upon…read moreinspection, the roofer immediately attributed the cause of the rust to the solar installer, effectively deflecting responsibility. However, the evidence does not support this conclusion. Our roof consists of two levels, and we observed rust on several spots across five long panels--many of which are not adjacent to the solar installation. Furthermore, the upper level of the roof, which has no solar panels whatsoever, also exhibits couple similar rust spots. These observations strongly suggest that the rust is not caused by the solar installation but rather stems from a material or manufacturing defect. Despite these panels carrying a 50-year life warranty, the roofer was quick to claim that the rust is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. This is deeply disappointing, particularly given the clear evidence that the damage extends well beyond any area impacted by the solar work. The roofer demonstrated no willingness to help address the issue and offered no solution for the roof leak currently occurring at the lower level. The lack of accountability and absence of any proposed remediation is unacceptable given the scope of the defects observed.

He broke down what needed immediate attention, what could wait, and what wasn't worth redoing until we need a full roof replacement. Their office staff is very responsive to emails. Pricing was more reasonable and they provided a warranty for their repair work. The shingle work was straight and looks good. Chimney reflashing was a bit sloppy with the sealant. Crew was friendly and easy to work with.

Nothing is standard about this home including a massive one-of-a-kind full custom multi-level roof that included: mounted electrical solar panels, and separate roof mounted pool solar collector panels, 2 chimneys, a flattop roof section with adjustable skylights that need to be replaced. We also needed an outbuilding's flattop roof and skylights replaced. We chose Wonderlin Roofing Systems for the following reasons * Extensive expertise * Long history in the Castro Valley area * Excellent references * Willing to work with clients Grover Wonderlin and his office Manager Marianne worked with us throughout the entire process and were always polite, knowledgeable, answering our questions, provided excellent advice. Before starting the tear-off, they covered the pool with the largest tarp I have ever seen. I was impressed with their clean-up, walking around the home twice checking for nails and anything that might have been missed. The crew inspected the exposed roof structure, repairing water damage, and recommended adding a chimney cricket to reduce the potential for water damage in the future. The crew was on site the day the roofing materials were delivered, to setup and ensure the roof was protected in case of rain. I was impressed with the quality of their work and how quickly they completed the job in just a few days. Each day the crew cleaned up, and on the final day thoroughly checked the entire property for nails or anything that might have been missed. Grover's knowledge and advice for the vendor reinstalling the electrical solar panels was invaluable and greatly appreciated. I enthusiastically recommend Wonderlin Roofing Systems Sincerely, Dave Burton

I did and the company told me I had to contact Lowe's because they were subcontractors. I contacted Lowe's and they said I had to contact the company that actually did the work. I contacted Manada again and I was told to pay $500 for them to come out and see THEIR own work and that fee would be applied to any work they do! Unbelievable, my father became ill and couldn't deal with this and I did contact the Better Business Bureau and they stated that too many years had passed- it was 3 years. How long is a roof supposed to last?? Regardless, poor craftsmanship and material reflects the job quality of Manada Roofing. I just today, completed the repairs for this winter. This is a shameless unethical company that DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.

We had a garage re-roofed and went for the top of the line with all the bells and whistles. The result leaves me happy and their price was right. I had contacted other contractors and not had a good experience. Their sales guy, Ray, responded well when I told him what I wanted and there was no attempt to steer me to something else. I've worked in the trades and know when a good job has been done.

Huge thanks to Carol at Sunshine Gutters and Roofing!…read more We had a leaking skylight that was originally installed by another company, and we were preparing for an expensive repair. We received quotes ranging from $1,500 to $4,000 from other roofers and assumed we'd be paying out of pocket. Instead of trying to sell us a repair, Carol suggested we contact Velux directly, as she thought the skylight might still be under warranty. She was absolutely right. Velux confirmed that the skylight is covered and will inspect and repair it under warranty. Carol's honesty, knowledge, and willingness to point us in the right direction saved us thousands of dollars. It's rare to find a company that puts the customer's best interests ahead of making a sale. We are incredibly grateful for her advice and professionalism. If you're looking for a trustworthy roofing company, I highly recommend Sunshine Gutters and Roofing. Thank you again, Carol!

Our estimator gave me incorrect information in developing our contract, telling me our downspouts including the downspout attachments that went underground, would be fully cleaned out during our service. When they did not clean the downspout attachments, they told me they don't do underground attachments even though the estimator told me this was included in our pricing. I paid the majority of our bill, leaving about $230 balance while I disputed the unfinished work. Eight months ago, I sent an email that was never responded to and never heard from the company again. Then yesterday when their legal department called me out of the blue to threaten to send me to collections over the unpaid balance. I replied immediately to explain the situation and their response was to say if the balance wasn't paid by the end of the day it would be sent to collections. They alleged they had called and emailed about the outstanding invoice (they hadn't - I went through my emails, spam and my phone and found no evidence of any attempts on their end to contact me). I was shocked that they took such an aggressive, threatening approach to a customer who a) they dropped the ball with and b) who was actively in good faith trying to resolve the dispute immediately once they brought it to my attention. We had a misunderstanding about the scope of work - I would have appreciated some acknowledgement or apology on their end vs. them dropping the ball completely then coming back out of nowhere to threaten me with collections. Just not a good way to do business and I am left with a very sour taste from dealing with the legal threats.
