There are two tasting rooms: this one and another at the vineyard. This one is climate-controlled; the other is open air with a patio. Roger is a very engaging and can regale you with stories from his past lives as a contractor and Peace Corps. He makes a range of varietals with small case counts, most of which come from his estate vineyards, though some come from other quality growers. On Saturday, we tried 2 whites and 4 reds. Their red blends are Bordeaux style blends where a couple of them are favorites of NPH. (Yes, the actor Neil Patrick Harris. He's even a club member who has his face on their label of the Illusionist.) The tasting room is spacious inside with really comfy couches and chairs. They have a pretty good size patio area but since it was cold... we decided to stay indoors. I bet the summer and early fall season is great for sitting outside to enjoy their wines. They have LOADS of music! If LPs are your thing.. this could very well be your Nirvana. They have all sorts of LPs... all genres. They even have a section for sale. When we asked if we needed one for the tasting the woman with the dark, short hair and glasses said no, so we didn't understand why we had an unwelcome greeting. Three from our group sat to the side and didn't do a tasting and the rest of us 8 did. They told us we were the first group to visit them in a week--seemed like she didn't want our business though? Before leaving the 8 of us were rapping up and 3 of us purchased a bottle each, prior to her saying "it's common courtesy that everyone purchases a bottle". This is very unfortunate because we really enjoyed their wines and would have purchased more but were put off by her preconceived notions of us. Five of us paid for our tastings and we haven't even left the building yet but she called out loudly "three of you haven't paid yet!". Um, yes we know we are going to pay, some of us were in the bathroom and the three that haven't paid yet were still sitting in front of her and one hadn't even finished her tasting. We wanted a little bit of education on their wines but she was condescending. The guy that was working there with her was engaging though. I do not recommend this tasting, but I do recommend their wines. This was the only winery out of 6 that we visited that made us feel that our presence was a burden. 1 star for the guy. 1 star for the wines.

I mean if we have to pay $65 for each person, they should have individual plates for each person. I would have expected at least 5 wines and individual servings for the price. Not sure if we would come back again unless they changed their tastings and food service.
