We stumbled on this tasting room after lunch when we first arrived in Walla Walla. Great find. First off, our server was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable about the wines, growing regions, complexity, etc. The tasting room was super cute and the outdoor seating very comfortable. We really enjoyed the wines they offered. It was a great start to our Walla Walla adventure.

Mark Ryan was quite the experience! I can't wait to return with my husband, rather than the girls.

The staff/owner, were incredibly friendly and made us feel truly welcome with her smile The ambience is modern and inviting perfect for enjoying a glass of wine. The restrooms were spotless and stylish, and a thoughtful touch was the dark chocolate in the women's restroom, which was a lovely surprise. I really enjoyed the overall tasting experience. The tasting menu included two reds and one white, all of which were excellent. The most surprising part came at the end, when we were ready to pay and the staff informed us that the tasting was complimentary. We were genuinely shocked and grateful, and we ended up purchasing two bottles.

I understand that it's a small, family-run business, but receiving multiple confirmations felt excessive and not quite the relaxed vibe one looks for while on vacation. That said, the property itself is gorgeous and the setting is beautiful both indoors and outdoors. We were seated outside, and the service was fantastic. Our sommelier was friendly, engaging, and made the experience enjoyable. She took the time to sit with on the parties and have a personal one on one chat .The wines themselves were excellent ,we even ended up buying a bottle. Overall, it was a lovely visit, but it's probably not a place I would prioritize returning to on a future trip.

She has a strong reputation in Walla Walla, and it is well deserved. She truly is exceptional. She handled both coordination and florals, and the entire process felt seamless from start to finish. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but Kasey made everything feel easy and manageable. Kinhaven itself is a stunning venue. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was and have said it was one of the best weddings they have attended. We had around 50 guests, which felt perfect for the space. The staff were warm, helpful, and played a big role in making the day so special. I also have to mention their wine. It is truly fantastic, and we are glad to be wine club members. The florals, decor, and tablescapes completely exceeded my expectations. Kasey took inspiration from my Pinterest board and transformed it into something truly magical. The flower arbor was my favorite detail. It was absolutely breathtaking. She has an incredible artistic eye. I highly recommend Kinhaven to anyone looking for a beautiful, memorable place to celebrate their special day. You will not regret it.

A Memorable Visit - Warm Hospitality, Great Wine, and Dog-Friendly!…read more We visited Kinhaven on a Sunday around 2pm and were immediately greeted by Chris, who was incredibly friendly, charismatic, and knowledgeable about the wines and their vineyard sites. He took the time to make us feel welcome, ensuring we were comfortable at our shaded table (it was around 95°F!) and never rushed us through the tasting. He even remembered our names and gave great recommendations for nearby dinner spots to check out after our visit. We brought our Australian Shepherd along, and he was warmly welcomed as well. They also have their own adorable winery dog, Monty (possibly a Shih Tzu?), who was mostly inside but made an appearance toward the end of our tasting. He's a bit cautious with other dogs but very sweet. We sat outside and enjoyed the peaceful setting. We learned Kinhaven also hosts weddings--there had just been one the night before with about 50 guests dining in the orchard. It sounds absolutely picturesque! As for the wines--every single one we tried was impressively good. The $25 per person tasting fee is waived with the purchase of two bottles, which is more than worth it given the quality. Highly recommend visiting--great wine, thoughtful service, and a relaxing, welcoming environment! Exactly what we were looking for!

The wine itself is high quality. There aren't a ton of varietals, but what they do they do right. I enjoyed being able to compare different years of the same wine side by side-- it really helps you see the small differences. The tasting room has excellent ambiance, and for those interested there is a large bear statue that makes for a nice photo op. I'd suggest giving this one a try as it not only has delicious wines, it's got a great story and fun experience. If you're a Twin Peaks/Kyle MacLachlan fan, you'll love this place. Kyle owns the winery and the tasting room staffer Stacey regaled us with fun stories about Kyle growing up in Yakima and his deep involvement with the project. If you're into bears, you will love this place. Is it weird to say that there is such a thing as tasteful bear decor? I think there is and this place has it! Huge bronze bear statue included. And oh yeah, the wines! They are lovely. It was a carefully chosen and fun tasting experience and I recommend!
